This is a great place in the Katy area. The vibe is great, the staff is super friendly, and the food—wow. I tried the grilled octopus the first time I went, and it was so good I came back the next night just to have it again. Seriously delicious. And Maritza is amazing—such good energy and really takes care of you. They also have live music on some nights, which makes the atmosphere even better. Definitely worth checking out!

Walked in to Vida Mariscos for a late lunch. The atmosphere and service are top notch, but, the food is absolutely to die for. Easily the best seafood and Mexican in West Houston / Katy area. The pickled carrots instead of chips and salsa is a nice touch. Always consistant and never disappoints. If you are thinking about going there for the first time, I highly recommend this establishment with its large menu.

Glad that my family and I got the chance to try this place. For the price, the portions were plentiful! The rolls that they provide instead the usual chips & dip were a surprise. Those rolls were amazing! Though it was the weekend, they had a mariachi band going around singing songs and later in the evening, they had a live band. It does get loud where you will need to scream to have a conversation. Other than that, I would definitely come back here to try the other options!

Stopped by for the first time for drinks after dinner next door. Friendly service, fantastic margaritas and on the Friday night we visited there was live music and karaoke. The music was really loud so it made it hard to talk to & hear our family at the table. There were so many TV’s all throughout the restaurant that was showing different sporting events that was great. The menu had a huge variety of food and drinks. The food that passed by our table smiles and looked delicious. I look forward to coming back for dinner or lunch preferably when there is no live music.

They have a really large selection of food in their menu. You will find something you like and they got other things besides seafood but if you love seafood, this is the place we try so many different things and they are really good. The menu offers an impressive variety, and among the dishes we tried—dozen cold oysters, steak and shrimp fajitas, and the Vidas cold combo—each one was outstanding. Vida Mariscos: A Fresh Seafood Haven Vida Mariscos offers delicious and fresh seafood dishes. The food is delicious the ceviche is a must-try, and the margaritas are refreshing. The portions are good with enough to take home. Service was good, several different people came to check on us, so no complaints there. It's a great place for a family dinner or a nice date night. The place can be loud and hard to hear at times, especially when the mariachi is playing. The place is always bustling, a testament to its popularity.

So dang delicious. The sampler platter we got was enough to feed 3-4 people easily. The most unique part was the bread and peppers instead of chips and salsa. Weird, but a welcomed change of pace. Weekends are live and popping with a loud live artist singing from the stage.

Was our first time trying this place and it was wonderful. This place is HUGE and screen tv’s everywhere. Service was GREAT!!! Even the owner was giving a hand with picking up dirty dishes and serving. There was a live band setting up as well. Food was served fast and taste great. Will definitely be coming back. Was packed but we didn’t wait not even 5min to get a table. Prices for food for reasonable too.

This is one of my favorite seafood restaurants. I have been adventurous, and ordered different plates on many occasions. I usually stick with my usual, but here I wanted to try different things. Till now I have never been disappointed at all with any of the plates. The only reason I give it a 4 star is due to the service. Sometimes we get amazing service and other times we don't. I'm a food brat (so I have been told) & returning to a restaurant several times says a lot. As long as the flavor continues, I will always return. Another plus is there is live music on the weekends.

I love the food and the classic watermelon margs but don't go as often as I'd like to on account of the extremely loud music/band! You can't hear anything or hold a conversation with your friends, even from way across the restaurant. Please consider lowering the volume of the speakers!

Waitresses are likely trained to preselect the highest % of tips for the customers. 🤯🧐🤨 I can totally see how, if you have been drinking, or if you feel less confident about readjusting the tips to what you believe is right, these waitresses will have their way with you 😅🤣 I took control of the payment device & customized the amount. The only things that I enjoyed was the jicama slaw & the fish (loved the flavor but not so much the quality). I ordered the octopus based on the raving reviews here. However, it was overly salty (heavily coated by some smokey, bitter seasoning). It tasted (with a dark/heavy/odd flavor) exactly how it looked (with a dark/heavy/odd look)😣😖😩The veggies underneath the octopus were totally overcooked. 😑😑😑The octopus was soft, but it wasn't fresh/quality like the grilled octopus that you'd get from a more high end restaurant. Every single one of the shrimp was overcooked. 🤯🤯🤯The steak wasn't not quality meat. The chicken was very dry. 😒😓 The free bread wasn't very good, and the carrots were very acidic and more on the spicy side. The bread and carrots pairing indeed was quite strange to me. First time seeing such practice.... 🤯🤷🏻‍♀️ For the amount of money they charge for the quality that you get, I wouldn't go back.

My friend ordered the Siracha shrimp tacos and upon her second bite in one of the tacos, bit into a big piece of glass in her taco!!! We were so shocked! We called the manager over to see and he was not sympathetic at all!! Didn't even apologize! Just made another plate for her and took the plate off the bill. Becareful when eating your food!!
