One of the things I love about this place is the blend of personality and performance. Each visit has been delightful in service, delicious in quality, and dare I say a devoted respect for the dining experience.
Comfort food to the max. Grilled cheese and tomato soup. The Glow Up drink is yummy if you love ginger, which I do.
It is a pleasant place for all the senses, beautiful atmosphere, beautiful decoration, spectacular food, good selection of wines, but the best thing of all was the attention and service of Miss Maria, successful with her recommendations, careful attention, made us feel at home, very professional, made us enjoy a super pleasant moment, I will highly recommend them and we will be back soon!
We went for a bite for dinner. We did not get to try their wine collection yet. Loved the food and atmosphere. We had a bruschetta board that comes with 4 breads. Was big enough to share for 2. Would have liked a soup in addition, but there was no vegetarian option. Con: small outdoor seating, come early. Could have more amazing food options.the prickly pear lemonade was far too sweet for the 3 of us. We did delute it down by adding a bit of it into our water glasses. Maybe something went wrong that day?
This place is one of the best in the area. The food was amazing, the service extraordinary and the attention to detail is in another level. Scarlett was our server she gave us a lot of good options in the menu. Also, the manager Gabriela was super attentive at every step of our experience. We will come back!
I had an amazing time, the food was great, and the atmosphere was entertaining especially because of Sante. She was outstanding at her job, she went above and beyond for us. Her attitude and personality are such a breath of fresh air.
The paninis at this place are amazing! The place is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Maria's service was fantastic; she's the best!
Great food, a pleasant atmosphere, and exceptional service. I’d like to highlight the attention provided by María Parra—kind, professional, and always attentive to every detail. Highly recommended.
Postino Cinco Ranch offers a vibrant atmosphere perfect for relaxing and socializing. It’s an ideal spot for wine lovers and food enthusiasts alike. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience with great recommendations. Postino Cinco Ranch sets the perfect tone for a relaxed yet memorable outing.
The wines and cheese boards at this place are incredible! The place is lovely and cozy, but the best part is Maria's service. I'm in love with Postino!
I had the best night out with my friend at Postino. Our waiter, Jackson, was very patient and kind while helping me decide on which meal to get. The manager was also very welcoming and warm. The music is also adds to the ambience of the restaurant. Try their charcuterie and bruschetta boards, if you visit. It’s delicious!
came during thanksgiving break and it was wonderful. I wanted a drink that they usually don’t make and maria was able to get me my drink. she’s amazing !!!
Came here last July to celebrate my friend's birthday, and we had an awesome time! The atmosphere at Postino in Katy is always on point—it’s lively and the perfect spot for a get-together. We got here on a Sunday morning, so parking was a breeze. For brunch, I decided to try the French toast, but it wasn't quite what I expected. I was hoping for a classic, savory breakfast-style dish, but what arrived was more like a dessert—very sweet and rich. It was still tasty, just not what I was in the mood for. Despite that one dish, the overall experience was great. The service was good, and the vibe was fantastic. I'm definitely willing to come back and give some other items on the menu a try
10/10 would recommend this place for light appetizers/small snacks paired with drinks! Perfect for date nights, girl’s night out, and small friend gatherings! My friend and I came here midday Tuesday and the place wasn’t crowded at all! The workers were so friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious! My friend and I did the 6’ till 5 deal ($6 glass of wine OR pint of beer, up until 5pm) and we split a bruschetta board! My personal favorites were the Sweet N’ Spicy Pepper Jam & Goat Cheese (pictured at the bottom of the board) and the (seasonal) Mexican Street Corn (pictured at the top of the board)
Jonjon is who I come to see when I want phenomenal service! He takes care of you and is extremely attentive. He makes me want to come back and bring all my friends. His energy radiates throughout the entire place! The cauliflower & skewers are mouthwatering! His recommendations are what I like to order! I not only feel valued as a customer but also as a human. Always very happy to be served by Jonjon!
I came to Postino for the third time and I loved the chicken Florentine soup. The happy hour is always great too. Maria's service today was the best.
Delicious food, Nice atmosphere in the place, but above all we loved the attention. Today we were attended by a girl named Maria 10/10 She was very kind and charismatic. Thank you 👌🏻🎅🏻
Delicious!!! Superb spot to stop for a snack. Everything I ate was wonderful, the ambiance is beautiful, and the service was great! Prices were also very reasonable. Only thing is I wish they gave more bread/crackers with the charcuterie plate, there was a lot of toppings and dips but not much to dip with.
Love this location! Everyone is so welcoming, atmosphere is easy, food and drinks are great, and staff is amazing. Alaysia and Valeria are the best!
Had a great Board and Bottle night with friends. Kyle was a ver attentive Server. Offered great wine selections to pair with our bruschetta boards. The only thing was a family allowed their 4-5 kids run around the entire restaurant, inside and around the patio. They tried to run through our table, which we stopped them. If you have kids, be sure they behave appropriately in public. It’s a safety hazard and disruptive for other other customers trying to have a good dinner.
This was my first time eating at this restaurant, and the atmosphere is really great, the food is delicious, and the service is incredible, thanks to María Mercedes who was very attentive! I highly recommend the food.
Maria took care of us by the fire pit in an exceptional atmosphere. I loved the service, but the food even more. I’m a frequent customer, and today’s service was absolutely amazing
Just walked by and stopped for dinner. Nice ambience, super friendly staff and god good food. Small menus but food are really tasty. Love the fried cauliflowers. Mixed green is fresh. Panini is a must try on the list. My daughter loves her grilled cheese and tomatoes soup. Our server is Nani, she is sweet, friendly and helpful. Thumbs up.
Been wanting to come to this place at their other Houston locations. Lucky me they opened one closer to home. This was our first time trying it and must say they have a great wine and food selection. Both of the Spanish wines I got were pretty good and also Postino exclusives. As for the food, we tried their skewers, OMG grilled cheese, shrimp scampi and Nick’s table. Everything was tasty and delicious. Samuel was very attentive and took great care of us. Would definitely recommend and come back.
This place has a super cute retro atmosphere with delicious food. We had been to the Heights location and were delighted when another Postino opened up at this location. The bruschettas are amazing! Loved the fig, brie apple one and the Sweet N’ Spicy Pepper Jam & Goat Cheese spread. Their veggie sandwich was amazing as well, try it with the focaccia bread. The drinks were great too. Fantastic service and experience, highly recommend!
This was a happy accident for us. There's several brunch spots in the area, so competition can be quite high. Many of the these spots have the same take on brunch items, but the menu here had a good twist. It also helps they were very friendly with our 19mo old son who just wanted to explore. I'll admit that most of what we got was just snack/finger food with drinks, but I'm not complaining and I'm definitely coming back to order the bruschetta again :) Thanks for the great experience.
Stopped in for a drink and had a little snack which all went very well. The wine was great and the service was on point. The atmosphere had a cool vibe and the telephone wall was pretty neat. Would stop in again and try the food if we had more time so check them out, patio was looking very nice too but It was a little cold for It so we sat inside. Thanks team.
Fantastic place for a fun lunch as well as a date night occasion. Adrian took great care of us and our fur baby on a beautiful Thursday afternoon. Yummy panini sandwiches, skewers and wine at a reasonable price. Lovely setting and wonderful ambiance. Highly recommend and will return.
Leslie was amazing! As soon as my party and I entered the restaurant she greeted us with smiles had such a fun and bubbly personality. It was my sister’s birthday and she treated us with such kindness and warmth. We had so much fun sitting out on their patio and after lunch we shopped around the plaza then came back to Postino’s for another round to enjoy their $6 til 5 happy hour special. We would definitely recommend for amazing food, atmosphere and service. Try the bruschetta! The bacon and burrata was fire! 😁
I went to Postino for the first time and I loved the atmosphere, the food is amazing, and the service was wonderful. My waitress Maria was very kind and attentive; she even remembered my birthday. Postino has definitely become one of my favorite places.
First class service, management, food and beverages! I especially liked the variety of fresh and high quality bruschetta. Even the takeout box and handled heavy-duty paper bag exceeded my expectations! GM, Jen was very gracious, informative, and helpful. Server, Skyler, was attentive, professional, and top notch. And the orange-haired hostess (?) was also helpful and delightful!! You can definitely expect to see me and my wife returning many many times. (I also got a real kick out of the old telephone collection “Art Wall”!)
First time there and I was hooked. The crispy cauliflower and a flight of different bruschetta and Otha. Couple of brunch drinks. The food and drinks were amazing, our server Tori was great and I’m excited to go back!
City vibes in the suburbs. I have been numerous times since their opening. Natsuki the manager is top notch. The rest of the staff aim to please and are always welcoming no matter how busy they get. Plus, the food is made from scratch and with a lot of pride. Best, healthiest and addictive salads.
2nd time coming here and the service and food was amazing! I feel so bad but I forgot the name of our first server, she was so sweet and answered any questions we had. Our 2nd server who took over half way through was Jon Jon and he’s amazing! So Knowledgeable and really cares. We’ve never ever sent anything back at a restaurant before but I really wanted to enjoy my birthday dinner and we really didn’t like a dish we ordered, and when he checked on us I asked if it’s possible to get something different, Jon Jon was so kind and understanding and made other recommendations which we ended up loving! We had a great experience and will definitely be back! Thank you!
Valeria was AWESOMEEE loved her! Came in with some friends and she was very sweet and recommended the best things ever! Make sure y’all ask for her when y’all go in:)
Cool atmosphere!! So it has been a while since my last review, but I thought this was a good opportunity to get back in the swing of things and review Postino at LaCenterra Cinco Ranch in Katy. The wife and I wanted to try it out for lunch and right when we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a hostess and taken straight to our table. As we took a look around, the theme of telephones from multiple time periods was pretty cool. They even have an old phone booth which they say the pay phone is operational (although I did not try it). Once seated, the waitress was quick to deliver our menus and introduce herself. As you may recall from previous posts, the wife is a vegan and I am a meat eater, so sometimes it can be a bit difficult to find a restaurant that will satisfy both of us. However, this was not the case with Postino. To start out with we ordered the Sweet Potato Wedges as an appetizers. The sweet potatoes were cooked perfectly, were miost, very flavorful and enjoyed by both of us. Then the wife ordered the Vegetarian Panini minus the creamy feta cheese. As for me, I must have been in need of a carbohydrate loading day because I landed upon the Brushetta (gluten free bread is availble as an option) which allows you to choose 4 different toppings. Ahh... there is nothing like flavor variety in a meal, which for this meal included the Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato & Basil, the Warm Artichoke Spread, the Burrata, Bacon (which I asked to be removed since I am not a fan of bacon, but I love arugula which is why I ordered it) & Tomato and finally the Brie Apple & Fig Spread which I saved for last as a desert. All of our orders arrived in a timely manner and were spot on. As mentioned above the Sweet Potatoe Wedges were great, the Panani my wife ordered was fresh and she throughly enjoyed it and as for the Brushetta quad oder, it was fantastic. Needless to say we had a great experience and would highly recommend!
There's an old adage in the culinary world that often gets overshadowed by elaborate recipes and intricate cooking techniques: simplicity is key. This philosophy's essence lies in letting ingredients' natural flavors shine through, unadulterated and unmasked by excessive seasoning or complex preparations. It's a principle that celebrates the purity and authenticity of food, reminding us that sometimes, the simplest dishes are the most satisfying. This restaurant has really made great foods simple with the natural beauty of the ingredients. - STARTERS: Bruschetta Board: I believe the highlight of this visit was the custom Bruschetta Board. You have a selection of 4. We picked Brie, Apple & Fig Spread, Burrata, Bacon, Arugula & Tomato, Smoked Salmon & Pesto, and the Chef's special, a Homemade Hummus topped with fresh Tomatoes. -- First on the menu was the Brie, Apple & Fig Spread bruschetta. With a delicate balance of creamy brie, crisp slices of apple, and the sweet, jammy notes of fig spread, this rendition of the classic Italian appetizer was a revelation. The creaminess of the brie mingled harmoniously with the apple's tartness and the fig's richness, creating a flavor profile that was at once comforting and sophisticated. -- Next up was the Burrata, Bacon, Arugula & Tomato bruschetta, a twist on a timeless combination. The creamy burrata, adorned with crispy bacon, peppery arugula, and juicy tomatoes, was texturally advanced but an amazing combination and contrast of flavors, with the smokiness of the bacon complementing the creamy richness of the burrata, while the freshness of the arugula and tomatoes added a burst of brightness. -- Smoked Salmon & Pesto bruschetta: The delicate slices of smoked salmon, adorned with a dollop of vibrant pesto, danced atop perfectly toasted bread, creating a harmony of flavors that was both elegant and satisfying. The richness of the salmon was balanced beautifully by the herbal notes of the pesto, resulting in a dish that was as visually stunning as it was delicious. - Chef's special: Homemade Hummus topped with fresh Tomatoes. This bruschetta was a celebration of simplicity done right. The velvety smoothness of the homemade Hummus provided the perfect canvas for the bright, juicy tomatoes, which burst with flavor in every bite. A sprinkle of fresh herbs added a pop of color and freshness, elevating this seemingly humble dish to new heights. - MAIN ENTREES The Raspberry Chicken Salad presents a delightful fusion of flavors and textures, elevating the classic chicken salad to new heights. Succulent pieces of chicken mingle with a medley of ingredients, including crunchy almonds and pecans, crisp apples, and the distinct tang of gorgonzola cheese, all nestled atop a bed of fresh mixed greens. However, what truly sets this salad apart is the exquisite raspberry vinaigrette that drapes each ingredient in a symphony of sweet and tangy notes. Its vibrant hue hints at the burst of fruity flavor it imparts, perfectly complementing the savory elements of the dish. With each forkful, the palate is treated to a harmonious dance of savory and sweet, making the Raspberry Chicken Salad a tantalizing and refreshing choice for any occasion. - Prepare to have your taste buds transported to a realm of pure culinary ecstasy with the OMG Grilled Cheese. This extraordinary creation takes the beloved classic to unprecedented heights, boasting layers of decadent gruyere, velvety whipped brie, tangy goat cheese, and sharp white cheddar. But the indulgence doesn't stop there. Nestled between the layers of cheese lies crisp, smoky bacon, adding a savory depth that tantalizes the senses. As if that weren't enough, this grilled cheese masterpiece is served alongside a creamy tomato soup dip, offering the perfect accompaniment to the gooey, cheesy goodness.
The atmosphere here was refreshing; everyone working had such a positive attitude, and it felt genuine. An awesome place to get together and unwind while enjoying absolutely delicious food and drinks. The cucumber lemonade was exactly what I needed to wake me up after a long morning. Pictured are the Prosciutto Brie Panini, shrimp scampi, meatballs & goat cheese, a bruschetta board, and the OMG grilled cheese; we enjoyed every aspect of our visit. Also, we had three kids with us; each one tried a different kids’ entree and I’m happy to report they each enjoyed their meal as well.
Twas definitely a worth visit here! The manager Gabriella was so kind and nice! I ordered a brochette set of brie, apple & figs spread, fresh mozzarella tomato & basil, mushroom & mascarpone, and warm artichoke spread! Twas really good and personally I enjoyed the flavor here more than that one in Uptown. I ordered a cup of cucumber honey lemonade and it was refreshing and delicious 🤤 Very delightful visit! Personally, mushroom one was the best of choice from savory ones and apple figs spread one was the best one from sweet ones! My girlfriend ordered also meatball shakashouka without meat since she is vegetarian as well but they did amazing substitute with some veggies! They are just amazing! Additionally, we ordered sweet n'spicy pepper jam & goat cheese, Mexican street corn, ricotta dates & pistachio and mushroom. They were all good! Love it! Keep up the good work, Postino!!!! Cheers
We were a large party and everything was excellent. This is more a wine Cafe so the menu is limited but let me tell you everyone was very happy with their selection. The meatballs were a fav and I had the strawberry salad and soup. All delicious! I had a sparkling glass of sweet wine which was perfection. The service was impressive and friendly. We will definitely return to this atmospheric wine Cafe. Sit outside if the weather is nice!
Excellent service. Maria was amazing—very friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. Her professionalism and attention to detail truly stood out. She made our dining experience even better. I would definitely come back and highly recommend her.
The service was impeccable, the atmosphere very pleasant, and the food truly delicious. You can tell when a team genuinely loves what they do and pays attention to every detail. I would like to highlight the service provided by María Parra: professional, attentive, and with a warmth that truly elevates the entire experience. Without a doubt, a place worth returning to and recommending.
I had dinner at your restaurant today and I want to highlight the exceptional service I received from Maria. Not only was she incredibly attentive and made sure our drinks were always full, but she also gave us a fantastic dessert recommendation.
María was an excellent server. She was very quick, friendly, and attentive the entire time. She recommended some amazing items that we absolutely loved. Her service made our visit perfect. Thank you so much, María!
My mom, sister and I decided to come here on Saturday to catch up and just chat and we really liked the space, drinks and the cheese table board. The atmosphere was very chic, quiet enough to have a meaningful conversation and the lighting was just right. I also liked that there were mostly grown ups there (nothing wrong with families) but for just a quiet, chill conversation with friends, a date or family, it was perfect. There was even a couple there just sitting and playing cards at the table. I thought it was a pretty neat date idea.
I recently visited Postino Cinco Ranch in Katy, TX, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between chic and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for both adults and families. The drink selection is outstanding. Their wine list is extensive, featuring a variety of options that cater to all palates. I particularly enjoyed the refreshing cucumber honey lemonade, which was both delightful and invigorating . What truly sets Postino apart is its kid-friendly environment. The staff were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that our little ones felt welcomed and entertained. The spacious patio provided ample room for them to move around safely, allowing the adults to relax and enjoy their meals
My first visit and I like it! Commendable service, very pleasant and the constant check-ins didn't feel intrusive at all. The food was great! I was not too crazy about my choice of a drink. The environment was quite lively but not noisy. Everyone around me is genuinely having a great time. Posting comes highly recommended. Looking forward to another visit
I absolutely loved it here! Our waitress was super nice and the food was delicious. My boyfriend and I both got full paninis and they did not disappoint. Also we got the soup of the day which was a loaded baked potato soup and it went so well with our meal. The weather was beautiful, no doubt they’d probably get real busy during dinner time, of even happy hour. There was a flyer on our table and showed they do have specials on certain days. I have to say, you should give this place a try and then walk around the beautiful area.
The food was very fresh and the ingredients were high quality. I enjoyed the bruschetta stacks and the chicken salad was very good. My only complaint about the food was the portions were a bit small. That said, their beer options are good and the special pricing/sizes are outstanding. As far as the service goes Jackson was our server and he did a great job.
Came here last night. It's definitely a "first date" type of place. Low light and jazzy ambience. Kind of on the pricey side if you're on a budget but the food is pretty good. I ordered the meatballs which I found a little bland but I had some of my husband's panini and it was really good! Service was decent. Would come again.
Good place for a drink, snack or a big meal for luch or dinner. For quick snack, there are 8 different flavors of bruschetta to choose from, crispy cauliflower (my favorite), grilled cheese sandwiches, and soup of the day. Huge interior with lots of seatings. Impressive wall filled with old telephones. Friendly staffs. Limited parking in front, but abundant in the nearby parking garages.
This review could be biased since I dont drink and turned out, this is mainly a wine bar. The vibe and atmosphere was great. Plus point, they were open late. The servers were very nice. But food wise, I dont see they have any good options. They mostly have charcuterie boards as a main item on their menu. If you re going for dinner only, I wouldn't recommend this place. Whatever the leftover menu items were, was just volf cut sandwiches and soups/salads, and none of it was liked by the group I went with.
1 star off bc the menu is a bit limited but food good, service was good (s/o to Tori), and environment super chill and relaxing. I got the 9iron panini, mushroom fondue, cucumber lemonade, and brownie!
My family and I enjoyed a light lunch on Sunday. It was pretty busy but we were seated quickly. All of the different bread boards & spreads were really good. My sons pbj bread was stale and he wouldn’t eat it. There seemed to be loads of staff but no one came to refill drinks so that was a bit annoying especially with it being so hot.
The Brussel Sprouts salad is extremely tasty as is the raspberry chicken salad. We opted for two boards which were ok. I was disappointed with the chefs choice of cheese on my Chefs Charcuterie but the little loaf of bread was really good while they were warm, don't let it cool as it's not nearly as tasty. Unfortunately we had not booked and ended up with the seat next to the serving hatch which was not great for enjoying a relaxing meal. We will be back for the salad.
Our first time at this restaurant. We sat a small table ordered their Brushetta platter. Meat Skewer, shrimp scampi, Italian sausage soup, and donut holes for dessert. Their Brushetta platter and donut holes were my favorite. They are definitely a must try. Our waiter (the bartender) was fantastic, attentive, helpful, and made our dinner visit enjoyable.
This restaurant delivers a solid dining experience with more strengths than weaknesses. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable, making it an easy choice for a casual meal or a relaxed evening out. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and food arrived in a reasonable amount of time.
Food was delicious! I had gotten a mozzarella and chicken panini with a bowl of Cesar salad. Overall absolutely amazing, I just recommend getting the dressing on the side. Our server was perfect checking in not too often but still making his trips. Definitely will come back for the paninis
Myself and my mom dropped in for lunch, it was my first time there. Positives were that they had a really nice atmosphere, both the hostess and our waitress were kind and attentive. Myself and my mom both ordered wine and they tasted fantastic and on happy hour! The negatives were that the lunch menu was pretty limited. We ordered the pick 4 bruschetta, only 2 out of the 4 were super enjoyable (the mushroom and mascarpone was the fav). We both ordered paninis and chicken salad. Salad was good, paninis were pretty bad. I would never order the chicken bacon panini ever again and my mom did not enjoy the roast beef panini. For one of the main parts of our meal to be so disappointing was frustrating. The only way I would really go back is to try out the dinner menu and see if it’s better. The photo is the what was left of my chicken panini, I had one small bite and took the rest to go. Very dry and cold and the bacon was not fresh. Never again. The only way I altered it in any way was to remove the tomato.
Walked it at about 10:45 looking for some light foods to have with our drinks. Food is amazing…. Service was lacking. It was not busy at all, few tables that looked like they’d been hanging out awhile. We sat at the bar… no one else was there. Ordered a bruschetta board, like it said before it was amazing!! Would definitely recommend. Only thing I was not happy with was service. Someone else brought our food out, bartender never returned to offer napkins, silverware or to ask if everything was ok. Had his back to us and head in his phone the whole time. After several “excuse me’s” we finally got a roll of silverware, for the napkin only because by this point our food was gone. Will return but not sit at the bar.
The two stars are for the place and ambience. My cauliflower tasted crispy , burnt and very oily. Like oil was oozing in every bite, same with sweet potato wedges. Since I have always been against food wastage, I did complete my food. Panni and beers were the only decent thing I enjoyed. I tried to call my waiter who during my dinner was constantly ignoring me but was smiling with other customers, I felt at a point it was racial, I don’t want to accuse someone when I’m not sure of. But just ignoring me and smiling with everyone else doesn’t leave me with much options to assume as well. But I have learned to forgive, forget and move on, for my own sake.
My husband and I went to Postino last night to celebrate! I had been eating raw for two weeks, so I was really looking forward to this meal. We were both so excited and just happy to finally be out together. Postino is known for their bruschetta, so we already knew that’s what we wanted. When we looked at the menu, though, my husband and I had completely different tastes, he wanted more savory options, and I was craving sweet. So, we decided to order two build-your-own bruschetta boards, with the intention (and this is important!) of bringing some food home. Along with that, we were going to order a panini to split, but my husband ended up wanting his own, so we went ahead and ordered two paninis as well. I do want to preface this by saying the food was absolutely delicious! Seriously, everything tasted incredible and our server (I wish I remembered her name) was so sweet and very helpful! She really made us feel welcome. However, the only thing that dampened the experience was when our paninis came out much quicker than expected. The guy who brought them over (a Black gentleman in a purple shirt, I didn’t catch his name) startled my husband a little because he came up from behind, which was totally fine, but what threw us off was his comment. He looked at our table and said something like, “Is this yours? Because you guys already got a lot.” I don’t know if he said that because he was also startled at my husband being startled but it was just an odd comment to make. It honestly made me uncomfortable for the rest of the evening. I know it probably wasn’t meant in a bad way, but it just felt unnecessary like, why comment on how much someone orders? Isn’t the whole point of going out to a restaurant to order food and support the business? And what if we were food reviewers? That kind of comment could really affect the experience someone walks away with. We ordered with the intention of taking food home, which we did and we were celebrating, too. So, it just didn’t feel great hearing that. Overall, though, the food and our main server were wonderful, and I’d definitely come back. I just hope in the future the staff are reminded to be mindful of what they say to guests. You never know the reason behind someone’s order, and at the end of the day, you want people to feel good about supporting your restaurant.
We dined at Postino on a recent Saturday evening and were pleased to find it relatively uncrowded. Our server was sweet. The food was served unusually quickly which, while efficient, suggested that some items may have been pre-prepared — a suspicion confirmed by the bruschetta. Although the toppings were definitely flavorful, the bread was cold and dry, which significantly diminished the overall experience of what could have been a much more enjoyable dish. The mushroom cheese dip was rather basic — essentially melted cheese topped with sautéed mushrooms — and lacked the complexity or richness one might expect. On a more positive note, the fried cauliflower was reasonably good.
UPDATE: lost another star. Management commented on my review and I emailed them immediately. Auto-response kicked saying they'll be responding soon. Its been a week. They don't seem to care. Eww. Idont think we ever saw the same "waitress/waiter" the entire we were there. Hard to figure who we could ask for for help until we just started asking anyone. They just front we were there. Food was good but soured by the service. Disappointing.
My husband and I stopped in yesterday for a quick lunch. The atmosphere and vibe were great. The food was delicious. However, the service we received needs improvement. The waitress came over and took our order and afterwards we never saw her again. She was nice but really “ flat”. She displayed .. I don’t want to be here or something was wrong and she was having a bad day. I’m Not sure… but everything we needed after she took our order, I had to either get up to find help or politely shout out “ excuse me” to any random waiter walking by. We were left with the perception/ feeling of it was a chore for them to serve us. A guy came over with an orange shirt to bring us a to go box. I kept saying “ thank you “ but he never responded. That was our first time going. It was lunch time on a Monday afternoon, and not busy at all. To say the least, we left very disappointed. So many people searching for jobs that actually want to work and provide good service. Please hire them .
I was really looking forward to dining here with my family after hearing great things about the food. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning due to the disappointing experience with the hostess staff. When we arrived, the hostess seemed visibly stressed that we didn’t have a reservation, even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy. She asked us to wait in the back until a table was ready, which was fine, but the waiting area was quite cramped. While waiting, I accidentally brushed against a display with several wine bottles, and one fell. Thankfully, it didn’t break—I picked it up, checked it, and placed it more securely toward the center of the platform to prevent any accidents. Shortly after, a hostess approached and, rather than asking politely, questioned with clear attitude whether I had broken the bottle. I explained what happened and that I had moved it to prevent it from falling again. She dismissively insisted it wasn’t near the edge to begin with. At that point, the rude tone and lack of professionalism led us to leave before even being seated. It’s unfortunate, because we were genuinely excited to try the food. Hopefully, the management can address the hospitality aspect, as it really impacted our experience.
My husband and I came around 4pm and ordered wine , they have a Barbera Nebiolo wine which is not common to find, so we thought it will be a nice place to sit and enjoy wine; while we wait, we ordered a bruschetta, onion soup , and meat balls. Everything was perfect until waiter TONY, a very young girl, was very bold and brought the check to my husband that we had not asked for and we were surprised! My husband asked : are you closing soon ? Or do you need the table ? I added the question : why ? Why are you bringing the check? and she became offended.and overreacted to my question aggressively. And I repeated my question and said : are you closing soon or you need the table? Or why are you bringing the check that we haven’t asked for? She answered in a very confrontational way that she wasn’t going to allow me to patronise her?😳 I was surprised by her answer that was totally out of place. Clearly some of the staff need more training to understand how to address clients in a polite way instead of making them feel uncomfortable. I feel bad for the owners that invest money in good products and people that lack of respect for what they do as job can just sink all so easy.
Ordered food and my drink. Food came cold and my drink didn’t show up. My friend told them about the cold food he received, they “reheated” the food (they should have replaced it), but they brought it back but this time was kinda burnt. Anyway since we didn’t wana spoil our mood, we didn’t make fuss about it coz we were there to have a good time. Then it was time for bill, the server completely messed it up. Before ordering we did tell him that it will 2 separate bills, he brought one bill. Didn’t finish there, he put wrong/extra items in there too. There was a very casual sorry. Very casual attitude. Place was not even busy, not that it’s an excuse but still. Bad experience. Music was too loud for us to chill and talk.
Ambiance is very good phone hanging on walls reminds of 90’s and antique in mic if bookshelf look. Good but limited selection of cocktails and good cocktails. Beer selection is limited too however they have large selection of wine. When it comes to food it’s has unique Menu. Unique way of serving and decorating dishes but a food item main strength is taste which is totally missing as you can only taste salt not just a little extra but too extra. In repeat order we specifically asked for reduce the salt but it went unheard and issue is not just with one dish but all may it be bruschetta, artichoke dip, mushroom soufflé, grilled cauliflower (blend on top, salty sauce in bottom), hummus plate all just salt it appeared is the only taste. Now coming to kids menu simplest dist of all time even a 8yrs old could cook grilled cheese sandwich was raw from inside cheese ice cold none of the 5 kids 3 plates we order ate uncooked so called grilled sandwich. Waitress said to call the manager which never showed up. 1 star is only for the wine selection list.
We’ve been loyal Postino customers since the Heights location and were excited when the Cinco Ranch spot opened in 2022. It’s been our go-to and one we’ve recommended often, until today. Our bruschetta board was fine until the very last piece, which had a hair in it. We informed the server and a manager came over, but his response was dismissive and unapologetic. No concern, no accountability , just a casual offer to replace it after we’d nearly finished the meal. The bill still came at full price. Mistakes happen, but poor service doesn’t have to. The lack of empathy and effort to make this right was disappointing enough that we won’t be returning to this location.
