This Texas Roadhouse locations is always spot on. The food and service are always the best. Great job on management for running a great establishment with great servers.
I highly recommend dining at this restaurant! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the service is top-notch, and the food is absolutely delicious. From the appetizers to the desserts, every dish was expertly prepared and full of flavor. The menu offers a great variety of options, accommodating different tastes and dietary restrictions. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that I would happily repeat
Phenomenal, they gave us bread and butter to go. The steaks were cooked perfect first time and the drinks were cheaper than I expected.
This place must be doing something good always full waiters great attitude awesome place good music.
Food is always good and steaks are well cooked. Appetizers are served hot and salads are fresh. We can always get drinks and they always make sure you have a glass of water as well. Portions are a good size also.
Went to lunch there with my daughter to celebrate her successful job interview.Natalia our waitress was hands down the best! She was friendly & attentive. Never made us feel rushed. Let us visit!!! Food was great as usual & drinks were fantastic... Bartenders doing a great job as well! Definitely legendary service!!!! Thank you Natalia! ♥️😋😋♥️ Noelle & Neeley Esping #Nataliabestwaitressever
Awesome restaurant, quality food, and big servings make this place worth stopping by. Inside it's very homey, clean and inviting. The server and staff are super friendly. The food is delicious and not too expensive, with complementary rolls. They have a few alcoholic drink choices which aren't too bad. The only real negative I have is that there can be a long wait time, especially on the weekend. I highly suggest getting an reservation if you're coming by on the weekend or a holiday.
Had a AMAZING experience, ki’yanna the manager did an amazing job and served with excellence. I will always recommend anyone to come to this location and have an amazing experience.
Texas Roadhouse in Killeen has the BEST steak and dinner rolls in the area! 🥩🥖 Every time I come, the food is cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The rolls are warm, soft, and the cinnamon butter is addictive. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is lively, making it a great place for both family dinners and nights out. Definitely my go-to spot for a great meal in Killeen!
We came to ft. Hood to welcome our son home from deployment. He wanted a good steak so he suggested texas roadhouse. I've never seen him enjoy a meal as much as he did today. The staff was awsome and super attentive. The bread rolls are so good you better be careful you don't get full on bread. The decor was exactly what you would expect from a texas steak house. Restrooms are super clean and our table was also very clean. As you come in to the restaurant you can see the kitchen staff preparing steaks and other meals through a clear window. Very cool feature in my opinion. Great job texas roadhouse.
Food is always good however the chilli lately has been absolutely horrible....I'm not sure if the meat used changed but yesterday I ordered a bowl and the meat was so hard and tough I couldn't eat it. I was very disappointed
From the moment i walked in the front door, I have never experienced a more welcome atmosphere and the most excellent, professional customer service. I ordered a 16 oz. Sirloin medium rare to go. Before I left to take it home, the female manager asked me to cut it to make sure it was the right temp and it was perfect! Everything was hot and delicious when I got home. I will definitely revisit and urge everyone to go around 4 pm to see the full potential of this fantastic staff. Yes, I am impressed.
My second time at this restaurant this month.. We ordered sirloin and prime rib. The food was soooo good. The potato was 🔥hot. Normally when you get a potato the butter takes a minute to melt but today everything was delicious. Service both times was excellent. We didn't have to ask for anything. Kudos to TRH. I'll be back later this month.
Aww man Texas Roundhouse was delicious! First of all, they've changed there process so that you can do call ahead seating similar to Bubba's. So by the time we arrived and text that we we're there, we immediately received a text that our table was ready. It's my birthday and our son is a quadriplegic in a huge wheel chair so they sat us at a nice size table and didn't seat the table behind us so that we could be comfortable. Not only was our waitress outstanding and 'On it', but the entire staff was very attentive and kept our orders and drinks flowing. All the way down to the extra sauces. Our order was exactly like we asked and everyone's food was cooked perfectly and delicious! The atmosphere was incredible as well. The sang Happy Birthday to me and even the other customers near by congratulated me. One of my best birthday outings in a long time.
I LOVE THAT BLACK YOUNG MAN AND LAD SHE CALLEDE BEAUTIFUL SO MANY TIME IN TAKE OUT HE HAS A THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER TIME I PUT IN MY PICK UP MY ORDER HE SHOWS ME EVERYTHING AND HE CALLED ME BEFORE BECAUSE THEY DIDNT HAVE THE CUT OF MEAT I WANTED
I came in Saturday night and Our server Macy was INCREDIBLE!!!! She completely made our night! 10/10 will ask for her next time :)
OMGOSH, the BBQ chicken dinner is so yummy: chicken was tender and perfectly flavored, the loaded mashed potatoes had just the right amount of sour cream to make the taste pop, and the mango sweet tea did just the trick to satisfy my taste buds. We had such a great experience tonight. Nisha made the visit even better. She was attentive, courteous, and professional. If you haven't tried this meal, it's worth trying.
Texas Roadhouse never has failed to meet my family's expectations in cleanliness, friendliness of staff, service, the preparation of their food, drinks, and the price of their menu items. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy a finely prepared steak, or any of their menu items.
Amazing time every time we come to a Texas Roadhouse the service is always amazing throughout the country and the food excellent. Not to mention the positive feeling all around thank you Texas Roadhouse(also I had a lime Margarita a blooming onion and broccoli so I had fruit and vegetables for dinner.)
Great experience with even better food! My group had an amazing time! Would absolutely go again!
Had to wait for a table. All staff very friendly and efficient. 2 out of 3 steaks were over cooked, not medium rare. Still delicious.. the salads, potatoes, chili ( huge serving) were good.
This place NEVER DISAPPOINTS. Fabulous Staff, Food, and even Fabulous window service for to-go food orders... and of course the 🥜 🥜 🥜 peanuts, they even gave me 2 bags!! I always get the same thing. -14oz Rare Fort Worth Ribeye -2, double (regular) Mashed Potatoes. Sometimes sitting in, Sometimes to go. I have never, ever been disappointed. Always Scrumptious.
We recently visited Texas Roadhouse, and overall, it was a bit of a mixed experience. The steak, unfortunately, was very chewy and lacked the tenderness and flavor we were hoping for, so it wasn't the highlight of our meal. On the other hand, the appetizers were fantastic - fresh, flavorful, and came out hot and well-prepared. They definitely started the meal off on a positive note. What really stood out, though, was our server. She was absolutely amazing! Friendly, attentive, and always quick to check on us without being overbearing. She made sure our drinks stayed full, kept a smile on her face the entire time, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Her service was the highlight of the night and really helped balance out some of the disappointment with the main course. While the steak wasn't the best this time, the great service and tasty appetizers might bring us back to give them another try.
We visited this Texas Roadhouse last night for dinner with about sixteen people. We requested and waited for an area to be able to eat at the same table but instead we were given three separate booths for our party. We had several orders of Chicken Fried steak, Grilled Shrimp dinners with seasoned rice, and sweet potatoes with marshmallows, steaks, Catfish platters, Salmon entrees, Steaks and Ribs and Caesar and House Salads. We had lemonade, sodas, teas, and water for most of the drinks. We were served baskets of hot dinner rolls with honey butter when were seated. All of the food was tasty with ample portions served. Would definitely return again and would certainly recommend this location. Lupe was our Server with great customer service!
My server Leilani had excellent knowledge of the menu and made great recommendations. The food came out quickly and was cooked perfectly. The longest wait for midday Saturday was 20 minutes.
Always great food! I had that eight ounce filet with a loaded baked a potato and steak fries. The rolls were so fresh and delicious. And the food was delicious as well. The steak was cooked perfectly!! Our waiter isaiah was great.I'm sad I forgot my to go container on the table 😭❤️. I highly recommend this location.
Luis was amazing greatest server! Best date night ever. When we were leaving everyone was saying bye. I’m really happy.
We went about 5pm, and were seated immediately. There was a waiting line when we left. The service was superior, the steaks were perfect, the loaded baked potato was awesome, the rolls and cinnamon butter were amazing, and the Caesar salad was delicious. The mac and cheese was not so great (needed some thinning), but it was replaced with another side without a fuss. There is an "early diner" menu with lower prices.
Very busy on a Monday but got in without waiting. Sat at the bar, and Tony and his bar partner were great. Very welcoming. Had the beef tips well done, and they were so tender and delicious. They put the brown gravy on the side for my potatoes which was good as I forgot to tell them to. Everything was cooked well and tasty. And the rolls to start were fresh and hot. And they definitely celebrate birthdays with a bang.
We usually get delivery, but today we dined in to celebrate my husband's last chemo treatment and his birthday! Our server, Mae was wonderful, and the meal was delicious as always! To celebrate, my husband got the 23oz Porterhouse steak cooked to a perfect rare, just how he loves it. I ordered my favorite, the Roadkill. We both have leftovers for tomorrow! So much food. Great place to eat for all occasions. YUM!
It was my first time visiting the famous Texas Roadhouse and it did not disappoint! The wait for the food was extended because it was a weekend but other than that, service was quick and friendly, and the food was hot and delicious! I ordered the smothered chicken, my husband ordered a steak, and my mom ordered the smokehouse burger. All dishes were savory and cooked to order. Out of all of the dishes, the biggest portion was my mom's burger; I was able to clear my plate in one sitting and so did my husband with his. It was a nice overall experience and I will be back to try the burger!
We have lived in Texas for 3 years last night was our first time eating at Texas Roadhouse . We will definitely be back. Everything was fantastic. I did not like their butter (I think it was Cajun butter) that was served with the shrimp. I am sure they would have brought plain it I would have asked. Waitress was amazing. $110 for the 4 of us plus tip with appetizers as well. It was a fantastic place to eat. I recommend reserving online for a reduced wait time
We stopped by Texas Roadhouse for lunch and it was such a pleasant surprise. I usually don’t like chain restaurants, but this visit definitely changed my mind. My husband and I both ordered the 18 oz ribeye steak, and it was cooked just right. Tender, flavorful, and very filling. It really hit the spot. My stepdaughter went with the beef hot dog and fries, and she loved it. We started with the fried pickles as an appetizer, and they were so good. Crispy, tangy, and perfect for sharing. I tried the Midnight Sour cocktail, which was a little strong, but still really good once you got used to it. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. Overall, the food, portions, and service made this a really enjoyable lunch. Definitely a spot we would come back to.
We visit this location regularly and so glad that the service and food are consistently good. Today our server, Carlyn (I might be butchering her name) was phenomenal! She was friendly and didn’t skip a beat with making sure we were taken care of. Thank you ma’am you made our visit splendid! We appreciate you, happy holidays!
First off half finally got to come to this location. Staff friendly, atmosphere excellent 👌 music the best got the country veg yummy when you're not in the mood for meat. And the country fried sirloin with white gravy good choice. Jason was awesome 👌 didn't even have to ask or wait for refills he was definitely on point tonight.
This visit was excellent. The only complaint I had was they sat us at the huge table when there were smaller tables available. The waitress Cheyenne was absolutely great!!!! My steak was exactly how I liked it, which is amazing because several times before I had to send it back at least once. The prices were very reasonable for all that we got.
I had dinner here today with a coworker, and let me tell you, it was an entire experience thanks to my fabulous, top-notch waitress, Alicia Jackson! That’s right, she was so good I had to get her last name. From start to finish, Alicia’s energy was amazing. She gave me the best recommendations, outstanding customer service, and made the whole dining experience unforgettable. If I come back, I wouldn’t want anyone else as my server. Thank you for the great food and even better service!
I’ve been here a few times, but this is my first time leaving a review. My folks were in from out of town, so we decided to bring them here. I’ve always had good experiences here and today was no exception. They were pretty busy for a Monday, just before 6pm. But they were fast and efficient at getting folks seated ASAP. We only waited about 20 minutes, which wasn’t bad. Upon getting seated, we were quickly greeted by Jason, our waiter. He did a great job, and was very patient (my dad kept asking for more peanuts 🙄). You did a bang up job, buddy. Also, my bacon cheeseburger was perfect.
This was my first visit to a Texas Roadhouse. My son's job had him working in Killeen for three weeks, and I drove there to spend some time with him. He took me to this restaurant, and the bread and cinnamon butter lived up to its reputation. I ordered steak and shrimp. It was cooked to perfection, and was tender and very tasty. The atmosphere was a bit loud for me, but a lot of fun. There were several birthday parties being held the evening we were there. The staff was fun, outgoing and attentive. The manager came by and asked if we needed anything.
I’m LOVING IT!!! So much better in Texas… It was absolutely perfect but the kitchen gave me fatty meat. Men might like that.. not a lady… and if it’s a filet it should not be fatty.. The server checked on us, always and took care of us completely. She was Perfect! The manager stopped by. I was surprised he didn’t offer a free app since everyone got to eat their steaks but me.. and I had to get a container for my food because everyone was done eating …
Macenzie was absolutely amazing! She checked on us constantly and made sure we had everything we needed. I know we can’t come and pick our waitresses, but if I could it would be her! The ribeye and shrimp were cooked perfectly, the beer was ice cold and the service was immaculate.
Where else do you go when visiting Texas! Great place. Staff is always super friendly and they go out of their way to make sure everything is correct. Fun place to celebrate birthdays. Steaks are always cooked to perfection. I love adding the side of shrimp. Wait is never too long and waitress checked on us often.
Dinner was excellent. The food was so yummy. The pre dinner rolls with the cinnamon butter was delightful. Our waitress was fast and efficient with a side of kindness. The restaurant was clean and tables were ready. Loved the added peanuts on the table. Prices were very nice for the portions you received. Loved the decor.
My server name is Aria. She was great with everything. A rare combination between a saleswoman and customer service. I had the 23 Oz porterhouse and it was cooked exactly as I wanted. During the time in the establishment, at least one other staff member. Ask me if I'm doing okay. So here you go Perfect late lunch!
Came in to dine and treat myself after a long day. I love that when you come in and are seated you receive a fresh bread basket with cinnamon butter and let me tell you the butter is delicious!!! I ordered the Cactus Blossom for $6.99 Sweet Potato that is baked for $2.99 Apple Sauce $2.99 Mashed potatoes with brown gravy $2.99 Apple pie w a scoop $6.99 Water as my drink! The blossom was amazing it has made me fall back in love with fried onions!!! The Sweet potato was perfectly cooked and melted as eating. The apple sauce was apple sauce. The mashed potatoes and gravy I asked to ensure not cooked with meat products was excellent! Overall great service and food made for a great self date! Thanks for having me, The Traveling Truck Show
🚨Updated Review🚨 I stopped in one evening to redeem a veteran voucher, and everything was great! My country fried chicken was perfect, I loved the loaded mash as usual, and the cactus blossom was fried just right. The margarita hit the spot, and my server, Leilani, was amazing. I left full and satisfied yet again. After not dining in Roadhouse for a few years, I decided to stop in and have a steak dinner. I surprisingly didn't have a long wait on a busy night. The hostess seated me in a great spot with tv's in perfect view. My waiter came over really quick and took my drink order. It came out really fast and was really good. My waiter then took my order and said it should be out shortly, and it was! One area that has gotten a lot better is the service. Although my steak was a little on the small side, it was cooked perfectly! It was exactly how I wanted it, and it tasted amazing. My loaded mash and the dinner rolls with that butter didn't disappoint and honestly has never let me down. However, my mac n cheese was not at all pleasant at all. I wasn't feeling that at all. Overall, I had a wonderful experience, and I would return.

Always super busy but delicious, consistent and worth the wait! Busy and loud interior but what roadhouse isn't?
Just ordered the Texas combo steak and shrimp. The steak was not right. I called in and they replaced my whole order. It was very kind of them. I would highly recommend.
Great food and service. music a little loud but great atmosphere and did I mention excellent service.

We were told a 40 minute wait, but it was closer to an hour. Our server, Alicia, was outstanding, great job, lovely positive attitude. Steaks were perfect.
Great service. There was a 40 minute wait but we went to the bar. We got rolls, and them when I had to get butter without Cinnamon, she also gave us fresh rolls. We both got the shrimp and sirloin. It was good but my shrimp were not hot. Good food, good country music (not the new age crap). Would go again!
Dinner on a busy Saturday evening was fantastic. Despite the large crowd, seating was immediate, which was a definite advantage. Our server, Mia, provided outstanding service. Mia was attentive and friendly, ensuring all needs were met throughout the meal, even with the high volume of guests. The chicken and steak combo was ordered, and both were cooked perfectly and flavorful. The meal was satisfying. The sides (fully loaded sweet potato and mashed potatoes) also lived up to their reputation. The only reason for not giving a 5-star rating was the sometimes loud atmosphere when the restaurant was full, which is understandable for a popular spot on a weekend night. Not a compliment, so much as an observation, but by the time we left (~50 minutes), there were 9 birthday celebrations and one line dance; the place was jumping:). Overall, the experience was great, with delicious food and excellent service, especially from Mia. Will very likely return.
Went there about 245pm, and we sat at the bar. We had side salads, an entree (steak and broccoli) and some appetizers (rattlesnake bites and grilled shrimp). Food was yummy & cooked to order, and didn't take long to get our meals. Just be careful the rattlesnake bites are spicy! Manager Kaitlyn (not sure the spelling is correct) was super duper nice and served us with a smile even though it was jammed pack and extremely busy. We will always go back!
We visited this place for the first time. We new that it will be busy but apparently for two people it is a lot of free tables. However hosts are awful. They did NOT greet, did NOT ask anything. They even didn't say follow me when she went to show our table. She only looked at us. But waitress is so nice and food was tasty. I was surprise with price because it is cheap (in my opinion for a good plate with 2 sides). And they give you bread with cinnamon butter and bucket of peanuts. Bread is so sweet (tons of sugar inside) but tasty. I will come back but I won't expect good service from host.
This has been by far the worst visit ever. I did not even get to eat. I will make noodles when I get home 🤦🏽♀️ How do you bring me an uncooked 23oz Porterhouse T-Bone that I asked to be medium well. Then you go back and bring me a burnt steak. I understand you are busy as you always are but to tell me it’s because your rushing shows you do not truly care about your consumer. Then give me a dinner for two that total can’t be more than $30 just was an insult as what I ordered was $31 and some change. Make it make sense!!!! Also my drink was messed up AGAIN. Well noodles I’m on the way 🧐 Update: Spoke with the manager or hospitality manager Amy and stopped by today 6/7/2022 and the service, food, and drinks were A-1. Our server was Brooke and she did an amazing job. Thank you for a better experience in your establishment.
The food is better if you dine in, I don't recommend (to go) simply because the portions seem different and the care for the food. Other than that I love the food and selections inside this place, definitely good fun environment for a quick date night out or a family dinner!
At Texas Roadhouse, the house-made rolls with signature cinnamon butter are consistently spot-on. The steak was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the loaded baked potato held its own. The Caesar salad was okay. While the service was average, there are no major complaints, and I'm inclined to visit again.
Wife and I went with our family trying to show them a Texas icon. We all had a really good time the main entrees and the appetizers were awesome the only downside was the sides. The Mac and cheese tasted like box Mac and cheese with no sauce and the other sides were mediocre compared to the main entree like the steak and ribs. Also for being a Texas themed restaurant they had 2 options for local Texas beer which was very disappointing. Overall though good experience and good time there
Me n my friend ordered the Catfish Basket or combo. You got three pieces of fish and two sides. I got buttered corn and a loaded baked potato. I didn't know the potato with the other toppings was going to be extra, but fine. The drink was the Porch Rocker. It was not for me, but I drank it anyway. If you like seltzers, then this is for you. I didn't get a twist of lemon on top, LOL, but I did eat that slice of lemon. The waitress was great and the food was good. I had to take two pieces of Catfish home, and when I heated it up the next day, it still had a little crunch. It was good the next day too. The two breads were good and the butter.
It's a party of 7; we were there last Sunday, and it was packed. Not too long a wait, and we just got on the list when we arrived. It was quite festive, as always. My only regret is not wearing my cowboy hat and boots. The service was friendly but not too friendly, I say. I like that the manager came by to check on us. I want that endless barrel of peanut to come back which they removed during Covid… it will be nice if they bring it back. I go here because of the country atmosphere and their fresh, warm-to-die-for bread. I used to like most of their entrees, but now it's getting more and more salty, it's like eating salt like the one I had was the herb chicken, oh my, the rice was so salty and all. I will try something else next time. On the way out, regardless of how busy they are, they should thank exiting guests. I was also waiting for the line dance, but it didn't happen. We were celebrating my hubby's birthday, but the host did not engage with us. It would have been nice if she had asked or the server about anything special going on. I ordered water, which I always do, and the server was persistent with me about getting other drinks. I know it's up-selling, but if I said no on her first offer, that should be enough for her to stop. Regardless, we are all coming back; we all love Texas Roafhouse and want them to exist forever…

Online order food quality sucked. Only got two rolls with my order but they gave me a bucket of butter??? Gave me a tiny amount of dressing for my ceasar salad I’ve attacked a photo steak was supposed to be medium but it is dry. I’ve been eating here for a while and this is the worst order I’ve had. Very displeased for the amount of money it was.
Took the crew out. Sweet waitresses but inattentive. Two orders completely wrong, one salad we had to ask for again, came out with the rest of the main course. Overall underwhelming, and loud.
I ordered to go. It was ready quick and the food was good but it would’ve been better if I would have gotten all of it. I was missing one of my sides and whenever I opened the utensil bag two of the three ranch containers had busted open. I’ve been going to this roadhouse for years now and I enjoy it everytime. I would of just liked to of gotten everything and to have everything secured properly.
The service was decent, we didn't get the complementary bread and we asked for it the waitress said she will get it now but never did. I ordered the steak medium well but it was medium. Overall not bad
Stopped in for the first time. We wete returning home from a weekend trip and wanted to grab a good meal. Wait time was surprisingly short for the time of day. We placed our drink order and took a bit to get. Then placed the meal order. While waiting our glasses took more time than usual to refill since our waitress was too busy chatting with other table behind us about personal stuff and she kept telling us that she would be right back on refills. The food finally came out and mine and my wife steaks were cooked wrong. Her filet was under cooked and mine was over cooked from what we had ordered. They took my wifes back and i just ate mine to keep from having to wait. They brought my wife's steak back again and it was still under cooked. She ordered medium and kept bringing back rare steaks. Only good thind was the manager took her steak off the ticket without us asking them to. We were very disappointed the issue of getting a steak cooked to order. Also my steak even though over cooked still had no flavor. It wasn't that busy there at the time, no body was in the waiting area to be seated so the cooks shouldn't have been in a rush. We were just traveling through so wont have to worry about stopping there again.
Was trying to get on the waitlist when the girl told me to hold after I told her that we are a party of 9 and after being on hold for about 3min I’m guessing her manager or head hostess was talking to me and asked me how far out I was I told her 25min and she proceeded to tell me that I needed to check in 15min which seemed a little confusing to me because I let her know that we were 25min away anyway we are literally about to be on the loop to get there and they call me and let me know that they can’t hold the table but they have another one that’s about to get up so I let her know that’s fine and she lets me know that she can’t sit us unless we are all there which when I first called they mentioned that to we get there I go inside and go up to the hostess stand no “hello welcome in” no smile or nothing I proceeded to let the girl know that we were on the wait list and she asked me if everybody was there and I let her know that they were in the parking lot and she said that the table wasn’t ready yet cause who ever was there before us hadn’t got up yet so we waited about 3 min and like half of our party was inside the building by the hostess stand while we were there a hostess went up to my FIL and told him that she couldn’t sit us cause our party wasn’t complete then 3 min later he tells her that our party is all there and if we could be seated already since she said that we couldn’t be seated since we were incomplete and she tells him that she never said that when I was standing right there listening to the whole thing go down after a couple more minutes of just standing around by their meat market/to go area our table was ready it was a long booth with a small table at the end which was pretty uncomfortable for a table of 9 but we made it work out waitress was friendly and attentive we couldn’t really hear her cause the speakers were way to our where we were sitting and she couldn’t hear us either The rolls are sooo good! Along with the butter!! The food was soo delicious and worth the wait this was my first time ever dining at a Texas Roadhouse and I was always told that the food there is always so good and it did meet my expectations but it was not up to par with the service
We visit often but lately the quality and service has gone downhill. All of our steaks are ordered different yet all come out well done. When doing pickup we are always missing items. When we call back to have it corrected to come back and pickup we wait on hold forever then just get hung up on, multiple times. It is so frustrating. We keep hoping its just a fluke but we are starting to lose hope.
Very loud!!! Very crowded! Overwhelming. However, the staff was fast and friendly. Interesting to me was 3 walk up and take away windows. I believe this will be the next option should we return.
Sunday, May 4, 2025 3709 E Central Texas Expy Killeen, TX 76543 United States Kudos to Trinity our server who made what could have been a complete disaster at least bearable. The restaurant is cozy. The food is your personal choice. Thank you, Trinity and the others who were there to greet and serve us from beginning to end. I do not like to speak poorly of an institution when I had a terrible experience because it’s obvious that other people enjoy Texas Roadhouse. Everyone is different. It has been a couple of decades since I visited Texas Roadhouse and on the spur of the moment we decided to give it a chance. We stayed away from the beef because of dietary issues and we normally just get appetizers anyway. We wanted bone in wings and all they had was boneless. Our mistake. I want to say that, after speaking with several people, because I want to be fair, that they are in agreement with me that Texas Roadhouse is basically a step up from fast food. Such are the days. It is clouted as being Texas home cooking and I could not disagree more. I am a Texas gal 100% And what I tasted of the pork half slab I would rate a “C” based on what I grew up eating at my weekly backyard grilling events. The words falling off the bone are not inaccurate, but everyone has a visualization of juicy meat when those words are used. Juices oozing and dripping from the meat are usually what one visualizes but that’s far from accurate in this experience. I must add that those words dripping were not advertised but alluded to. We found it dry and unpalatable. One taste said leave it. Two tastes confirmed it. My dinner date was hungry and regretted eating it afterwards. We both regretted having eaten at all as the grease and bread did not sit well on the belly. Other than the half slab rib, we chose the onion bloom, fried pickles, sautéed onions, and rice as a small side. We also were given the free bread. Additionally, someone brought us the quartered potato that’s kind of like a half baked potato with bacon bits on top. No, just no. You’ve heard the name twice baked potato? That’s what it tasted like- a day old baked potato cut open and tried-to-make look fancy with cheese and bacon. To make that worse, it tasted like it had set under the heat lamp way too many hours. Somethings just can’t be made to taste good the day after. But again that’s my personal opinion. We did not order that; it was accidentally brought to us and quickly remedied once the error was noticed. Thank goodness for the cold Yuengling served in mugs with sides of orange slices. Again, thank you, Trinity, our server and the others who popped in from beginning to end. The wait time is normal. 😁 The bread we simply tasted because we didn’t want to be rude because it’s not on our normal diet as are the other things. It was a cheat day for our diet and so we went for it. We left most of the items on the table uneaten. That’s no fault of Texas Roadhouse other than everything was over salted. If your taste buds are not destroyed by modern day fast foods, then you know exactly what I’m talking about. Let your own personal experience speak for itself, and if I’ve helped anybody who has never been to Texas Roadhouse, I hope that I’ve answered any questions that you might have had. I apologize for not having more photos, but there was simply no room on the table since it was dressed for four and was quite cluttered from beginning to end. Happy trails and bon appétit at your favorite food establishment.
It's hard to give a poor rating but the fact that food was cold and sides had to be reminded of in order to receive them it is what it is. The waitress was nice and with just a little more attention to details would get five stars for service. It's busy and noisy not to mention expensive there.
I like the food of texas roadhouse. Many varieties of food are there. Nearby to my hotel so i came there. Need more specialties for food

I was very disappointed with my visit one Sunday . The onion bloom and tater wedges were over cooked and taste burnt . Idk who told y'all to change the rolls they need to go back to the old recipe . The rolls taste like something from the frozen aisle . The rolls are a main reason we come .food has gone downhill . Jason was a great waiter .
I ordered food, had the wife pick up the order, got a call saying there was no bread but they would give a coupon for a free appetizer. When my wife arrived with the food, I see the coupon and the coupon says free appetizer but with a purchase of an entree. So instead of getting something of equivalent value, I have to spend more money to get a free entree instead of just getting the bread I paid for when I paid for my meal.
I ordered out a ToGo order and paid extra for mushroom and onions for my steak and they were never added and I did not receive them. Also my blooming onion is super soggy and not all the way cooked. So that's a super let down! If I pay extra for something I should get what I am paying for! Other then the steak is cooked right! I got the green beans, salad, and baked potato but the potato is under cooked too! For 60 bucks and having to drive across town I would expect it to be right. I can not complain to anyone as it was ToGo.
Decided to place an online order for pickup on our way back into town. Online ordering was easy to use. You choose your time for pickup, location, and all the options for how you want your steak cooked and so on. I received a text at 12:45. Our order was ready for pickup and to head to the new TO-GO window pickup. I was surprised it was ready 15 mins earlier, but we were still about 15 minutes out. I arrived at 1 p.m. and went up to the windows that were all closed. Stood there for a couple minutes till a young man opened the middle window and asked if I needed help. I told him I was picking up an order. He asked for my name and then handed me a bag. I asked if everything was in it, and he responded, Yes ma'am. Very polite, young man. We finally made it home, and it just was not great from there. They forgot our rolls and even the extra dozen I placed an order for. My husband's bone in Ribeye was not cooked! The meat was cold and squishy. My Prime rib had no flavor at all. The macaroni a d cheese was okay, and the sweet potato was burnt at the bottom. After a long drive, we didn't feel like driving 20 mins back to TRH. So I called the restaurant 2 times and chose the to go order option. Both times, the call ended. My husband called and chose to speak to a team member and got thru. Finally, someone answered and said they would transfer us to the manager. Heather got on the phone and apologized about the missing dinner rolls and the ribeye not being cooked. She mentioned she would send a coupon for the dinner rolls, but nothing. We were both pretty upset because we felt It was not being taken seriously. Never had an issue with any Texas Roadhouse Restutaunts. Sadly, this exact location was our first time to experience it since living here and was NOT an enjoyable one. My recommendation dine in, so if there's an issue, hopefully, they will correct it.

Update from my 2022 post….. now I’m giving a 1 star ⭐️ Went there today 2/3/2026 around 4pm and ewwwww, there was a guy (black bearded guy) behind the window cooking steaks, I guess it was his birthday cause he had money pinned to his chest. Somebody handed him more money and with his gloves on I watched him grab this money and then pin it to himself with the other dollar bills on him….. so now I’m thinking like ok he’s going to change his gloves…. NOPE! He continued cooking the steaks and pork chops with the same gloves, and I watched him actually literally TOUCH and grab more meat with the same gloves on as he was adding more meat to the grill, it was so gross. Extreme cross contamination. I was disgusted….. money is the most dirtiest thing. 👎🏽👎🏽 yall gata do better sir, especially with customers watching you. Absolutely unacceptable. 2/5/22 Been trying to go here forever but it’s always a hour and half or more wait, decided to try today and it was only about 20 min wait. My mom had been wanting the cactus blossom, it was good 👍🏽 And those darn rolls with the cinnamon butter omg, addictive. They was fresh and HOT HOT HOT. I had the chicken critter salad, yummy… my strawberry lemonade was delicious, even got it to go and some rolls to go too. Special shout out to our waiter, DahJahn “DJ” was a ball, had us laughing, was super attentive and friendly. Made us feel like we was more then just customers. People like him is what makes people like me want to come back to a restaurant. Thanks DJ. Keep up the good work and keep making folks smile 😊 you did an excellent job with us today 👍🏽👍🏽
I huffed and puffed when my wife wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse, but relented anyway. Out of four meals, three came with issues. Wife ordered Country Fried Steak and a brown liquid seeped from the main course. Weird looking, never seen a CFS leak like that. Then the Sirloin Fried Steak came out crunchy, thin, and a little chewy. Finally, our guest, who had never been to TR ordered a cheeseburger, well done. Burger came back red in the center. Served drinks and no refills. We made it known,, and yes they brought out another burger, as we were ready to leave,, and yes they gave a voucher for $15, but where us the Quality Control? 3 out of 4 meals jacked up (my stomach is starting to cramp as I write this) Now when I tell my wife we should go to TR maybe now she'll believe me. On the plus side- at least they have employees working, so kudos to the folks for coming in to work. Major props for that and they were courteous.
I ordered a 12 oz ribeye, medium rare. The steak was cut and cooked poorly. Over half of it was a single piece of fat or extremely rare. We already waited almost an hour from walking in to getting our food, so I declined a replacement and requested not to pay full price when the manager asked. They did not return to the table and added the "local hero" discount to the entree, for a whole 3.80 off the ticket. This felt below the bare minimum of effort to the point of disrespectful. Our waitress noticed we we're still upset when taking our payment so she went and told someone. The manager came back and this time provided a 50% discount on that entree and a certificate for an entree. I hate having to complain, and that I was essentially forced to do it twice was a frustrating and awkward experience. Resolving an issue should be about making it right, not about trying to push the bare minimum effort. I know many who would be too anxious to address the issue at all, let alone twice so this feels deceptive.
Ate dinner tonight at this location for a birthday party. My daughter ordered the catfish platter. She was the only one at our table of 9 that ordered it. Three hours after eating she started to feel nauseous and burping up catfish. She's now throwing up. Has multiple times now. No one else in our party is sick or having any ill symtoms. Beware of ordering seafood from this location!
We loved our waitress. She made this horrible experience bearable. However our food was not cooked well. With it being a busy Saturday we understand that there are some mistakes that can be made we making good steak/sides. However we think the grill was set too high so the steaks came out charred on the outside but completely raw in the middle. (cold to the touch) we did order medium rare steaks so it's unfortunately something that can happen. That being said the mistake was shown to the on duty manager, she mentioned she could make another streak to order(we didn't want to wait Another 30 min for the food, and since it was so busy, that's not exaggerating) instead we asked to have half the steak price taken off(half the steak was edible). Not an unreasonable compromise. Instead we got a 20% discount. A whopping $3.83. after out fantastic waitress realized we were still upset she told the manager again who, surprise was able to get 50% taken off the steak AND a coupon voucher for another steak. That voucher will make an excellent bookmark considering we won't be returning after this experience.
Our waitresses had 3 inch long nails! Everytime they put our food down one of their ridiculously long nails would get into the food.
I understand being busy due to the holiday, but when a simple order is placed online for pick up in advance isn't even ready. Fine, no big deal. I only ordered side salads to go with our dinner at home tonight. I can't believe I paid 12.99 for these salads. Both of the salads combined would have been equivalent to one.
I received a text message at 3:47 PM stating that my order was ready for pickup. When I arrived, I waited at the pickup windows for an extended period and only 1 window was working. I was told that the restaurant never received my order because the system allegedly went down while I was placing it, and that my food would need to be remade. This explanation does not align with the fact that I received a confirmed text message stating my order was ready. While 1 appreciate being offered bread and a drink while waiting, the situation was frustrating due to Conflicting intormation, Excessive wait time, Poor communication, Being told my order was ready when it was not even received. I also never received the bread that was offered for the wait. I understand technical issues can happen, but clearer communication and transparency would have made a big difference. I'm sharing this feedback so the issue can be addressed and improved for future customers. I would appreciate a follow-up regarding this experience.
As per usual the food was great! Service was terrible absolutely terrible. Nothing short of appalling. Our server Nryee (not sure if I spelled her name right) had a horrible attitude, never genuinely checked on us. Passing by waitresses were more polite and helpful. I asked for more bread and my original margarita a few times and she completely dismissed it. She eventually tried to apologize but with a condescending attitude. The only saving grace was her manager intervening and here peers stepping in where she lacked majorly in simple hospitality.
Let me start off by saying in general, my family thoroughly enjoys dining at Roadhouse. It has become our splurge dinner when celebrating accomplishments and last night was no different. Checking in and getting on the waitlist through the app was seamless. Arrived just as we were called back. Everything started off as another great experience. Unfortunately for us, that’s where everything changed. We needed a high chair for my son and that had been overlooked even though it was identified when I checked our booking in the app. A we made it to our first table, a raised booth in the middle of the dining area, the hostess looked at my son and said to us “ we can’t put a high chair here”. Well, that was a problem, and we were insistent on needing a high chair. We were then walked back to the front to wait for another table. A few minutes later we are taken to our second table, a booth, far right of the dining area. Across from our second table/booth is another table/booth with a diner seated in a chair in the walkway. Well, that was a problem. Putting our high chair at our table rendered the walkway between the booths completely useless. We knew this. Our hostess didn’t see a problem. We sat down, she brought the high chair and then our hostess realized this arrangement wouldn’t work. We spotted a table in the front corner and requested to move there as it would be perfect for everyone. We were told one person would have to go back to the front with the hostess to change the table yet again. (Why? I have no clue. We just figured it was policy, but looking back I question why we couldn’t just move to the table and the hostess just handle the change). Finally we make it to our third table after about 20 minutes of musical tables. Rolls are cold and hard at this point so we request more. Not a problem. Our waitress took our order quickly, our appetizers showed up quickly ( but seemed cold, like they had been sitting out) . My steak had to be changed as they were out of prime rib, which I had expected so not an issue at all. But, From that point on we were absolutely invisible. Everyone at the table ordered salads that never showed up until well after our meals as we reminded the waitress we hadn’t received them. We sat for 35-40 minutes between appetizers to meal with nobody checking on us. No drink refills until after our meals were served. My wife’s steak was overcooked. The fries were extremely stiff, almost inedible. We had food left and needed to-go containers. We were brought tiny containers and had to cut my wife’s steak into pieces to fit as they said they didn’t have any more large containers. As we left, we passed a stack of large to-go containers that we saw coming in. There were some other nit-picky things but I was over the experience. I understand they were busy. I understand they had new staff. I still stand by my decision that this was the absolute worst experience we had at this chain restaurant. We walked in excited, and left almost 2 hours later deflated.
Hello, I am writing to formally share a concern regarding my experience at the Texas Roadhouse location at 3709 East Central Texas Expressway, Killeen, Texas. I am submitting this feedback respectfully and with the hope that it can be reviewed to improve guest experience moving forward. After a long workday, I visited this location with my daughter, who had just graduated from basic training and whom I had not seen in eight months, and her girlfriend. I am also a veteran, and this visit was especially meaningful for our family as we were celebrating her accomplishment and spending long-awaited time together. This restaurant was their choice for the evening. During ordering, I requested a Crown Apple with cranberry and Sprite. The server asked if I wanted a double, and after a brief pause, I agreed. I had consumed one glass of wine prior to arriving, but I was not impaired, disruptive, unsteady, or slurring my speech. When I was informed that I would not be served an alcoholic beverage due to perceived intoxication, I did not argue and immediately accepted the decision, understanding the importance of alcohol service policies. However, following this interaction, our table was effectively abandoned. Our server did not return to check on us, provide refills, or follow up on our meal for the remainder of our visit. The lack of continued service was noticeable and uncomfortable, particularly given that I had complied respectfully without incident. This experience was deeply embarrassing for me in front of my daughter during what was meant to be a celebratory reunion. Additionally, my daughter, who is of legal drinking age, was also denied alcohol service due to assumptions made about me, despite her own behavior being appropriate. This felt unfair and unrelated to her conduct. For clarity, our server introduced herself as Serenity. When I initially addressed her using the name displayed on the badge she was wearing, she corrected me and explained that she had borrowed another server’s badge because she had left hers behind. I remained polite throughout the interaction, greeted the server by name, asked how her day was going, and ordered my food without incident. While I may have been upbeat or friendly in tone, I do not believe that warranted the treatment we received or the complete withdrawal of service. I also ordered one of the most expensive meals on the menu and expected the standard level of service Texas Roadhouse is known for. I also want to share, respectfully, that as a Black woman, I could not help but question whether race may have played a role in how this situation was handled. I raise this not as an accusation, but because I am genuinely unable to identify any behavior on my part that would justify the level of discomfort, avoidance, or lack of service we experienced after I complied with the alcohol decision. The experience left me feeling judged and embarrassed rather than welcomed. To be clear, I am not disputing alcohol service policies, nor am I seeking disciplinary action. My concern is how the situation was handled after compliance, specifically the lack of continued service, the discomfort created, and the impact this had on a meaningful family moment. I hope this feedback is reviewed so that similar situations can be handled with greater professionalism, discretion, and sensitivity in the future. Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns. I would appreciate acknowledgment of this message.
We’re visiting from out of town and usually love Texas Roadhouse, but this location really missed the mark. The host staff wasn’t friendly, and the hostess who seated us (short, with super curly hair and glasses) put us at a booth with dirty seats. We didn’t receive any rolls at first, and after waiting around ten minutes with no server, I had to ask another employee just to bring us bread. Eventually, another staff member stopped by and explained that our actual server wasn’t even there yet — meaning we were seated in someone’s section who hadn’t started their shift. She kindly took our drink and food orders to help out, which I appreciated. Once our server finally showed up, we only saw her maybe twice the entire visit. I ended up getting up myself to grab salt and to-go boxes. At other Texas Roadhouse locations we visit, the managers always come by to check in and collect the little ticket from the table — but that didn’t happen here. The food itself was good, which was the saving grace, but the service and cleanliness were not up to the usual Texas Roadhouse standard. I wish I’d read the reviews before coming.
I unfortunately had a very unsettling experience at the Texas Roadhouse in Killeen, Texas, which has left me with serious concerns about the establishment's food safety practices. During my recent visit, I bit into a piece of metal while enjoying a porterhouse steak. This incident was quite alarming and has fundamentally changed my perception of this restaurant. After reporting the incident to the manager, I was offered a discount on my meal and a two-person dining voucher up to a $40 value, which felt inadequate considering the severity of the situation. Following my complaint, I was asked to provide access to my medical records to proceed with the investigation. Fortunately, no metal was found during my X-rays, but the emotional impact of this experience is lasting. It's disheartening as this was not my first unpleasant experience at this location, but it is certainly the worst. I have become increasingly cautious when dining out and will now be meticulously inspecting my food before eating, a practice I shouldn't have to adopt. I would strongly advise potential diners to exercise caution, especially families with children, as this raises significant safety concerns. I cannot recommend this location based on my experiences. I have a video that will unfortunately not allow me to upload. I hope this review serves as a constructive reflection for management on the importance of upholding food safety standards to ensure a safe dining experience for all customers.
