I chose La Magdaleine as a stop on the Camino Balteo, and staying here was a truly unforgettable experience. The welcome was excellent, with a warm, family atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at home. The typical Aosta Valley cuisine is meticulously prepared, with dishes that express the authenticity and flavor of the region. You immediately sense the love for the mountains and local traditions as soon as you step inside. A magical place, where you feel like you're in a timeless bubble. Highly recommended for those seeking relaxation, good food, and a true connection with nature and local culture.

A place that seems out of this world, but I discover it's easily accessible by highway, a couple of hours from Milan. Tantane` is a simple and well-kept family-run hotel and restaurant, run by Fabio and Lorena, the young hosts. A cautious and informal atmosphere, here you'll find a small community of regular guests and locals. The furnishings are reminiscent of places of the past, and slightly off the beaten path, there's a charming little room with a fireplace. The restaurant offers typical Aosta Valley cuisine, such as gnocchi with bleu d'Aoste, mouth-watering polenta concia, traditional fondue, their soup, and venison stew with polenta, so tasty and flavorful that you can even mop up the sauce with your bread. And other specialties, from appetizers to desserts. In short, all the dishes are worth trying. You'll definitely want to return, to try something different, because once isn't enough. Chef Settimo is superb, pleasing everyone, even the most indulgent palates. A special mention goes to the wine list, which Fabio, a highly experienced and passionate chef, personally curates and is always available to recommend the perfect pairing. Service with Lorena is fast but not frenetic; you come here for the tranquility. Her eye is attentive and friendly; no table is left behind! At Tantane, you enter as a customer, and you leave with a "see you soon!" Highly recommended.

We stopped to avoid the traffic jam on the highway, and we made an excellent choice: delicious dishes, a unique red cabbage salad, a generous and delicious platter, excellent polenta concia, good wine, and a dessert to finish off the meal. Two young people at the bar and in the dining room were knowledgeable, kind, and very professional! Congratulations. We'll definitely be back. 2023 We're back, and it's once again been an excellent choice: good food, generous portions, good value, and, to top it off, very friendly and helpful!

I always enjoy eating at Fabio and Lorena's! I always start with a superb aperitif with an unmistakably Aosta Valley touch, guided by Fabio's suggestions. We continue with the house specials, authentic and all homemade! Perhaps one of the most sincere and delicious dishes in the valley. Practically the entire menu is worth trying. The chef's homemade desserts are delicious!

Always a pleasure to eat at the Hotel Tantané. Genuine local food and nice people.! They could make the resturant rooms and bar a bit more cosy, but it is a simple place with just wonderful food 😁. Perfect after a day around the splendid mountains.

Very satisfied! I'll definitely be back!! The room and bathroom were simply furnished in mountain style, and were thoroughly cleaned every morning. The bed and pillow were incredibly comfortable, and I slept very well. Excellent, generous breakfast, they served whatever you wanted. Excellent restaurant with a delicious and varied typical Aosta Valley menu, featuring well-appointed dishes. Excellent and very friendly bar service, including a tobacconist and newspaper shop. The hotel staff are very friendly, young people who make you feel at home and provide all the information you need for your stay, including excursions, visits to trade fairs, etc. They also offer the option of renting an electric bike. Excellent covered parking. If I had to say one negative, but easily fixable, issue, it's the lack of hotel Wi-Fi in the rooms, but the internet connection with your mobile provider works perfectly. For me, La Magdeleine is the most beautiful, traditional village in the Aosta Valley. It's a gem, very quiet, located with a beautiful, breathtaking view, spotlessly clean, and very relaxing, in a strategic position that also allows you to visit other places in the Aosta Valley. The trails and hikes in the village are like a fairytale, immersed in pristine mountain nature, with healthy air and beautiful flora and fauna, and suitable for all levels of difficulty and duration. I will definitely return to this place and hotel, and it's the ideal place to unplug from daily stress, recharge, and relax, and enjoy a wonderful mountain vacation. Show less

A magical place. Impeccable service, a vast selection of excellent spritzes accompanied by platters of cured meats or typical cheeses from the Aosta Valley. You can also choose from wines or classic cocktails. That's for the aperitif, highly recommended. As for dinner, the local dishes are excellent, excellent quality and sublimely cooked, with a decent selection of appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts. The only flaw is the limited selection of vegetarian dishes. I absolutely recommend visiting if you're nearby!

Great experience!! We ordered the beef tartare, which was delicious, but the pasta was a little weak for our taste. Especially the parpadele ragout (with very little meat). The tiramisu was delicious, you have to order it!
