This is place is NOT TO BE MISSED! The FINEST hospitality, the MOST incredible food we ate during our entire three-week tour of Italy. The owners, Steff and Grace have created a destination at the very top of this most magical world of Lago Di Como - not to be missed! Unique and dynamic flavors of every dish. A comfortable, warm and inviting aesthetic and a most gracious staff welcomes you to this heavenly and unexpected gem of a place. You will remember this all your life. Don't miss it!

Really happy with this refuge at €45 half-board. Amazing setting on the ridge with Como views and thunderstorms over the mountains. The rooms were fine. The shower was good (even if there is only one) and we were happy to pay €5 for it. The food was good, dinner anyway, breakfast was adequate, but they do make a good sandwich to take away, even if you have to butter it yourself after they make it. Maybe they could get some larger bottles of water in stock to reduce plastic waste, most people leaving there to walk will need a lot. They did ask us to pay in advance by international bank transfer, which was understandable but not something we've ever encountered from a refuge before and felt a little risky. It worked out fine though!
Great food with an amazing view over the valley and the lake.
This is an excellent rifugio, one of the best I've been to. The staff was friendly and the dinner was really good after a long day's hike. The fireplace is amazing to sit in front of after their hearty meal. All in all service and food was reasonably priced but please remember to bring cash!!

What a wonderful place. A warming open fire, happy staff, a totally rustic appeal and perfect mountain food and red wine for a chilly autumn day. All that I would expect. 100% enjoyable.
Amazing view to both lakes - Como and Lugano. With a very good coffee you can get a tasty cake and nice atmosphere. Ideal place for walks.
A lovely drive to this place with great views. The road is very narrow and not for the faint-hearted but well worth it.
Stopped for lunch on the way to Monte Crocione from Alpe di Colonno. Got a plate of the buckwheat pasta and a plate of cured meats and cheese - both were excellent. I can understand the slightly higher prices - they are in the middle of nowhere and is not like their grocer does daily morning deliveries. And the views are excellent.
Nice Refugio on the to of the mountain. Amazing views, very nice polenta. Very welcome after a long climb by racebike.

Bravi … anzi… anche complimenti Siamo arrivati in moto e ci siamo fermati in rifugio a cena e a dormire Ho chiesto a Jacopo alcune modifiche sul soggiorno e mi ha accontentato subito Pizzoccheri……
We did not stay here. Just went up for the view and drive. We drove a scooter in April. Layer up, it was cold but worth it.
Nice selection of main courses, dessert and drinks. Great for a rest before continuing on your hike.
Nice to get to a refuge after being out of water for 2 hours. Seemed to have a lot of local food, we only had water and cola and ran down to the lake.

Very nice view on Lake Como, food, service and ambience are rustic. Anyways is a mountain refuge and this is what one can expect. Worth going here.

walked from lago piano to bene lario to the top of monte galbiga. beautiful trip and along the way beautiful views, wild animals such as boars and deer and rifugio venini where I was unfortunately not warmly received. not recommended!
