Only stopped here for a rest and drink on our hiking. Staff were very friendly and polite. There was surprisingly lots on offer from drinks to ice creams to meals... overall what a place with an outstanding view to say the least.

Very much enjoyed the journey to get there. Finding the way was half the fun. In July the crisp air felt amazing compared to the mugginess by the lake. People were super friendly (as is everyone here), beer was cold.. A++ would visit again

Well positioned rest stop for hikers and cyclist alike. Set on top of the mountain range separating Lugano and Lake Como, the Rifugio serves hot drinks and lunch. They are only open during the weekend. The views are great and it's worth climbing up to the cross. You can actually see the Mont Blanc from this spot as well.

After 2 hours walking the mountain this is a nice place to land and eat or drink something. Spectacular view in all directions

Perfect location between Pigra and Rifugio Venini for lunch on a day's walking. I had contacted them in advance and they took a table reservation for the 16 of us for a very vague "lunchtime" when I asked if it was necessary. They did seem nervous we wouldn't turn up, which is fair enough I suppose. We were very glad of the drinks on a hot day, but the food was less popular. Dry paninis did not go down so well (butter would help). Although I liked the polenta with sausage and chestnuts that I had, maybe some variety away from polenta would be good. The menu was a bit like the Monty Python spam sketch, but with polenta. It may be traditional but lots of tourists either don't know it or don't like it if they have had bad polenta before. Plus the vegetarian polenta dishes really didn't sound that appealing (let's make it even stodgier?). Originally they told me there was a ravioli option, which lots of us were hoping for, but it was not on the menu. Toilet was also closed due to lack of water (understandable), but also they did seem to let people use it if they really needed to.
