Definitely an establishment that services it's locals & caters to the tourist/travelers passing through. It's open late most days with a friendly enough staff. If you're a tourist, please don't be annoying (from one tourist to another). Everyone working here, including the owner, is just going through another work day so be considerate. I recommend any pizza although I especially recommend the Diavola, the fried chicken fillets (chicken fingers), & the jalapeño stuffed with cheese (poppers). It's a quick local bites kinda place that delivers on flavor & gets the job more than done. Marcos (the owner on the left behind the counter in the picture) was beyond amazing with service from offering to whip something up fast, even though it was close to midnight, & going as far as answering through WhatsApp when we messaged trying to make another late night order. My one hang up was that everyone who smoked (mainly locals) would step out to smoke but literally still be at the open door way. I know Italians smoke alot but not everyone wants to breathe it in, especially whilst having a meal. Otherwise, I can't wait to stop in again in the future.

We have been staying at Villa Laura since 9/15 and the owners recommended this place to grab something to eat. The place, food, ambiance and service are amazing. On Wednesday, September 17, 2025 we stopped by but the place was closed. We waved at the owner and he said hi and offered us a drink. Despite being closed he offered something to eat. He brought back pasta and it was amazing. This kind of hospitality is hard to find these days. The Marco the owner is friendly and very nice. We highly recommend this place. Food is outstanding and the service it simply unbeatable.

Excellent place to eat and relax! The food was very tasty, service was absolutely top notch. You have fabulous views of the lake, a peaceful water feature in front of you, and the meals tasted great! We ordered ribs, salad, pizza and lasagne. Well deserved 5 stars! Thank you!

This place is fan-tas-tic ! Quick context on our experience - we were wandering endlessly through Fiumelatte, very cute village but for some reason, very few places to eat. The last one open closed in front of our disappointed - and hungry - selves. After a quick mop-break, we hopped on the bus to Lierna and here we are. Right on the main place of Lierna, reasonable prices and delicious fresh beer on tap. The pinse are truly delicious, fresh and made with lots of love. Even as a vegetarian, you will find your bliss here. Very good point : you can have lunch here at a late hour (2-3PM). Thanks to the staff for having us and keep on being so great !

We were staying nearby and came here in the morning to grab breakfast (coffee/pastries) and then again in the evening for dinner. Not many places are open on Monday evenings but this one was and they went above and beyond for getting us something to eat. A “locals” place but with inexpensive food, menu changes daily, and has some parking for the stores/places in the square out front.

Marco (the owner) has the most heartwarming energy, we traveled from a land far far away and he made us feel so welcomed and to say the least the food was excellent, if you’re in Lierna it would be a sin not to have a bite here.

The food is excellent and tasted homemade. Wonderful pasta, pizza, and chicken cutlets. Menu changes day to day. The people at this place care and make sure everyone is having a good experience. The kitchen stayed open a little longer just to make sure my party had a place to eat. Cute little plaza that is not overly crowded but has people around into the late night.

We had a lovely snack and wonderful greeting from the staff when we stopped in for late lunch yesterday. I had the cheese balls dipped and fried - yummy not oily and my partner had a delicious roast beef sandwich. I love that they have the 0.0% Piretti bierra as well as a full bar and cafe drink menu. Perfectly located next to the ferry and 5 mins from the train. And they are open to midnight most nights! Go give them a visit! The last picture is towards La Piazza when you come from the train - come down the hill and take a left (at sister’s cafe).

The staff was really sweet, we went there after the lunch hours and still they served is pizza and piadina. No other place was really deserve good and they welcomed us with really tasty pizza. The bar is at a very beautiful location. Checkout the pictures and videos from our visit.

Owner Marco is very friendly & welcoming to his bar. Good range of different spirits, cocktails & food is available. Plus big tv for sporting events. Inside & outside seating with a view of Lake Como!

Breve aperitivo in compagnia di amici dopo una giornata di lago. Posto molto carino, personale gentile, cocktail buoni. Vicinissimo alla spiaggetta e che dire penso che le foto parlino da sole.

Un anno dopo circa (24/06/2023) ripetiamo il sentiero del viandante da Abbadia Lariana a Lierna. Decidiamo di riprovarci.. e facciamo bene! Il locale è aperto e possiamo gustarci la pinsa e un insalatona. Soddisfatti dei piatti, del servizio e anche del conto. Bellissima la vista lago dai tavolini fuori. Adesso posso dire consigliato! ---- Le 2 stelle non sono per i piatti, in quanto non abbiamo potuto assaggiarli. Arriviamo alle 14 dopo Sentiero del Viandante e la proprietaria ci accoglie dicendo che hanno appena chiuso: è sabato 30 luglio. Ci dice che hanno spento la friggitrice perché non ci sono clienti, anche se vediamo diversi tavoli occupati. Non ci propongono neanche piatti freddi. Ci indicano un altro locale. Dispiaciuti abbiamo cercato un altro posto.

Dopo che il comune ha rifatto la piazza, il bar ne ha beneficiato enormemente. Suggerisco di fermarsi anche a mangiare oltre che per la colazione. Prima arrivate, meglio è.

Ci andiamo spesso a bere il caffè quando usciamo in bicicletta , bel bar su una piazzetta sempre soliva!!unica nota negativa uno dei ragazzi(quello piccolino di statura ) sembra che quasi quasi dai fastidio ,mai una parola ,mai un sorriso ...comunque va bene così..resterà una meta fissa x i nostri giretti da buon pensionati ☕️😁

Accoglienza ottima e simpatica Bar in riva al lago di Como consigliato per pausa panino o pizza veloce, il lago é letteralmente a 50 metri dal bar Caffè molto buono Siamo stati bene e soprattuto con il titolare Marco molto simpatico Consiglio, ci torneremo per provare un aperitivo! On a pricier side (12 euros for pasta), but overall a good place to eat in Lierna. The food was tasty, the variety of drinks is nice, and the location is very convenient. But probably the biggest advantage of this place is the working hours - unlike many places in Lierna, this bar is open from morning till night, so you can stop by for a coffee or full meal. The food menu is outside on the chalkboard and the drink menu is available inside, printed out.

Peccato per i tempi lunghi,ma comunque ci sono bravi ragazzi e il bar è in una bella pozione proprio attaccato al lungolago.Bene ma si può fare meglio.C'è un piccolo menù per mangiare più i soliti servizi da bar.

Bar locato sulla piazzetta di Lierna, dalla quale si può raggiungere il lago scendendo una scalinata. Dispone di tavolini all'aperto con possibilità di parcheggio sulla piazza (non ricordo se a pagamento). All'interno rivendita di giornali.

Dopo aver aspettato diverso tempo al tavolo siamo entrate, abbiamo salutato e la mia amica ha chiesto con un bel sorriso se potevamo ordinare, ci è stato risposto "anche no". Anch'io faccio la cameriera e non mi sono mai permessa di rispondere così neanche al cliente più maleducato. Ho chiesto se per caso avessero della caffetteria fredda e il barista mi ha trattato come una cretina perché a quanto pare la caffetteria può essere solo calda (a luglio). Ce ne siamo andate dietro l'angolo dove ci hanno fatto un ottimo caffè shakerato (freddo).

We only ended up at this place because most other restaurants were on a midday break around 3PM — and we deeply regret it. The portions here are comically small, like sad little appetizers. I finished mine in about five bites while the rest of our table just stared at empty plates. Out of five meals, only two came at first, and the last person got their food when the rest of us were already done. The pacing was a joke. I came to Italy excited for proper Italian pasta — but what I got was a total disappointment. Tasteless, clearly preheated, probably microwaved. It had none of the freshness or flavor you’d expect. Honestly, it feels like they only have one microwave and just warm up sad little portions one by one. This place sucked all the joy out of our lunch. Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else. We know it’s primarily a coffee place but everyone can buy a coffee maker.
