Great place. Staff was amazing some guy named Ian answered all the questions we had and was just super helpful
Fabulous selection of beers of all types and super friendly atmosphere!
Music was great, beer was great, amazing that you have the option of food truck or other neighborhood takeout. Will definitely be back!
Impressive Space. Sand City has created a cool new spot to throw down some choice suds. Great staff. Welcome to the South shore.
Love Sand City. Very relaxed atmosphere. Good music, trivia nights. Bring food, friends, even pets, kids . . . Great fun.
This place offers a ton of different tap varieties and allows food to be delivered. They are great for families woth young children babies and puppies.
Sand City South does not disappoint. Tap room is awesome and the beer, wine and ciders offered are even better!
Same great beer as Sand City Northport in a much larger space with great servers, awesome classic rock music and a cool vibe!
Excellent beer selection. Plenty of seats available. Lovely fire pit outside.
Their beer is only out matched by their employees! I had a great time catching up with my friends and several great bartenders!!
Dope spot fantastic beer and access to all of the village food. If you like beer you have to check it out
Great beer and good atmosphere. Their beer selection is sure to please any palette!
Awesome addition to Lindenhurst. Great beer and atmosphere. Excellent space to go with friends and family.
Delicious beer. 🍺 Fun environment. 😊Band was enjoyable. 🎸Dogs welcome. 🐶
Great place for a good beer. Lots of seats inside and out. Allows pets outside
Large brewery with plenty of outdoor seating. Beers were good with a diverse selection.
Great atmosphere, best times ever!!! The beer selection is Awesome.
Great place to hold a event as there were very accommodating for a event my organization that I'm a part of was holding, great staff that are very polite and understanding will absolutely come back again.
Always a fun time and lots of choices. Grimm is a pleasant and sociable host.
Great attention to detail. What an amazing spot. White wine was trash. "Pretty good" and "storm born" are delicious. They should get a complimentary popcorn machine with extra salt. People would order more.
This place is awesome! So much room inside and out. Bartenders are great and the selections are plentiful! Definitely recommend you stop by for a beer (or a few)!
An amazing addition to downtown Lindenhurst. It has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, from the employees to the building itself. I can’t wait for the COVID restrictions to pass, then it can only get better. I’d give them 10 stars if I could. 👍🏻🍺
Great place to have a drink and talk with friends. Food truck is a great idea. It does need signage out front, you can drive by and miss it entirely.
This is a great place hang out and chill. It is also family friendly. They have a great partnership and understanding with local eateries and they also have food trucks from time to time
Not a huge beer fan, but I appreciate that they have a couple other drinks and even sangria. My friends and fiancé enjoy the beer here. My friend's band has played here. Cool location. Really like the idea of having a gathering spot where people can bring their own food. I also love everyone's dogs there :)
One of the best breweries on the island
As the sister brewery to Northport, this is a second home run with an amazing location, with indoor and outdoor sitting. Everything is sanitary and clean! Pair some of the best LI beers with occasional live music and food trucks, you cannot go wrong. On top of that the two bartenders Liam and Grim are quick and courteous. Their manager Ian is one of the most knowledgeable in the beer industry and runs a super tight ship. I'll be back all Summer long (and beyond)! (PS - kid/pet friendly)...
Through the pandemic and renovations they had employees working to sell beer by the can out the side door. Finally the long awaited brewery is open and it’s fantastic. Each bartender I’ve dealt with has been awesome. And the town seems to be alive again (sort of)
Had a great time here with friends. The place was spacious and there was a food truck outside. The selection of beer was vast and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Three thumbs up
Great brews, great atmosphere. Little bit of a wait to get in, but doable. They offer the obligatory bag of pretzels, but there is a link for real food from Harmanas Kitchen next door on the table. We sampled a bunch of stuff, and the food was bangin. The beers were on point too,and there was plenty to choose from. Check it out.
This is a great place with attentive bar staff and good beer choices. I stopped in on Sunday for the release of Ryan Braswell's new American porter, 1776 Porter, which was outstanding. It also happened to the the centennial for Lindenhurst, so the place was packed. There was a German oompa style band and a food truck. This location also has an outdoor playground for the little ones. Located in the old CVS building, the tap room is large and has a ton of spots to hang with friends, pull up a chair at one of the many tables, or just stand at the bar. I'll be back on a day when it's not as crowded! Cheers!
This place is awesome…there is just 1 thing that can get a bit much: don’t get me wrong, I love live music, but when it’s played so loud that you can’t hear others or even yourself talking, it gets irritating, I just think the music doesn’t need to be played that loud. But otherwise it is such a nice place with good beer
Some of the best craft beer you will find on Long Island and both locations are great places to hang out. The folks serving are very friendly as well. 🍻
Great tour hosted by the Lindenhurst library. The beer was great, and the tour terrific. The brewery is a fun place to meet, and you can order food from neighboring eateries to eat while having beer.
Very cool place. Worth stopping by and grabbing a few tastes of their great assortment of beers, ales, stout, pilsners, cider and a really interesting sour. Highly enjoyable atmosphere.
Awesome brewery to enjoy great quality artesanal beers. Everyone is friendly fantastic customer service specially Ian 🤲🤲. Located on South Wellwood Ave in Lindenhurst, has parking available and live entertainment on weekends! Always a good choice ! Food truck is meh not the Best But 🤷🏻♀️at Least can purchase food from! If only : the fire pit was lit for these chilly nights
This is a great brewery in town! Its in a convenient location - and its always a fun place to go to . The beers are good - and they have a large inside and a pretty nice sized outside area to hang out. Food Trucks and live music - I love it here!
This place is awesome! I visited during a trivia night and it was super fun. The bartenders (or brewers?) were all super friendly and helped with choosing different drinks for our group. Will definitely return!
Fantastic beer, wine, and cocktails! Love the staff! Great events and bands! Food trucks are so good too!
I could say a lot about how great Sand City is, but that would take forever. So, here's my two favorite things about them. First, the Sours. They have 2 really great sour beers (Enough Already! and Monday Already?). If you feel adventurous, give them a try. I did and am glad. Second. They are pet friendly. It's wildly cool to go in and see people at their tables with their favorite four legged friends. Give them a try, give their beers a try. I think you'll enjoy.
Great beers in a hopping taproom with friendly staff! Lots of room for kids, dogs and even parties (there was a 30th birthday party going on but it's a big enough space that it was barely noticeable!) They even have other options like canned cocktails if you have anyone in your group that doesn't drink beer. While there were only chips as a food option, there was a taco truck outside. Definitely will be back:)
Wanted to update my review (after 3 years) and to showcase how a 1 star review can become 5 star. Heard that they had started a run club and reluctantly thought about trying them again. A completely different experience - Anthony, who runs the club is great, and makes it very welcoming - of course the free beer at the end doesn't hurt ;-) Few months later, this became our go to spot, not only on Tuesdays for run club, but other days as well. Can't say enough about Grim & Chris who always makes the place so welcoming! ------- Went to check out the new local brewery on its opening weekend. Entered, was nearly blinded by the sunlight streaming in the windows. Looked around for some guidance - do we seat ourselves? See a hostess? It was unclear. There was a gentleman ( using the term loosely) standing nearish to the door, but there was no way to tell if he was a patron or an employee. Saw some empty chairs at a table, and headed that way. Patron/Employee roused himself to let us know that a party was coming in to sit there and we should take ourselves outside to wait. Went to ask him a follow up question, but he turned his back and walked away. I get that its opening weekend, but IMHO that should prompt a more welcoming and courteous vibe, not less. Won't be back. Went to 25A instead, and were greeted warmly. Had some friends meet us there instead of Sand City, spent several hours and over $200 and had a great time.
Great selection of beers, nice outdoor seating and there is usually a food truck in the parking lot with varying cuisines. They don't serve food but allow you to bring your own which is cool. The only gripe I have is that the loud music is SO loud it's hard to have a conversation other than yelling into people's ears
The best brewery on Long Island!
Sand City South 📍Lindenhurst, NY @sandcitysouth We previously showed you Sand City North and now we are back at Sand City South! With a much bigger tasting room and more than double that amount of draft beers, we absolutely love this location! They have live music on the weekends and the @sandcityathletics on Tuesday nights! Both indoor and outdoor seating available! Come check them out! Follow us on Instagram @drinklongislandny for full video review and many more spots!
Having been a frequent visitor to Sand City in Northport, we were finally able to get to the Lindenhurst location last weekend. The staff were super friendly and the quantity of taps were very welcome, tons to choose from. The space was large and fairly busy for a Sunday afternoon. Sand City definitely brews some of the best beers on Long Island and am glad to be able to visit this location. You can't go wrong with either SCs, but for larger groups Lindenhurst is probably the better choice.
Rolled out from Bushwick to finally check this place, and man… the music alone is worth the trip. None of that euro-club rinse you get everywhere now that makes posers feel edgy—this is real, raw, human stuff. Tracks you can actually feel in your chest, not just in your teeth. Feels curated, not programmed. It’s the kind of soundtrack that makes a pint taste better, makes the whole room breathe easier. You look around and everyone’s nodding along like they just found the thing they didn’t know they were missing. Beer’s killer, but honestly, it’s the music that’ll keep me coming back.
Always the best beers. Had an Everlasting Hopstopper and a Handsome Maniac. Both delicious. Staff was friendly and they let us order in a bunch of pizza.
I attended a concert here on 6/15 and had such a wonderful experience!! Not only were the bands/sound amazing, but so were the staff. The gentlemen working security at the door were so personable, efficient, and polite, and even checked in with me during the show. The bartenders were so kind and our drinks came out quickly (which is impressive considering how packed the show was). Special shoutout to Liam! I had the Belgian Blonde and the Enough Already (my new favorite) beers on draft which I highly recommend. I will be back!!
You can try 2 or 3 of Sand City's beers at all Miller's Ale House locations in Long Island! Their brews are amazing and both breweries (Northport and Lindenhurst) have amazing beer in beautiful towns with great restaurants.....I encourage you to try either or both breweries and once you realize how talented Sand City is at producing amazing beers of all styles, come try it at a Miller's Ale House on tap and enjoy some food and sports on tv! Thank you to the Sand City owners and Marc for your amazing beer and support at Miller's Ale Houses!
Stopped in while visiting Long Island from Delaware. Really cool place. They have a nice large location with plenty of seating. There were lots of familes there when we were there. The bartender was very friendly. The beer was better than I expected. There were a couple of IPA's that I really liked. They are definitely worth checking out!
I'll give ya 5 if you light that fire pit outside....but yeah the place is awesome!
Great local bar with tons of IPA options and lots of room to sit down in.
Nice spacious friendly environment however need more finger food if your main attraction is various style beers people leaving drink is never a good thing
Had a great time here and beers were awesome.Would definitely come again just not on trivia night... Trivia host has the worst attitude 👎👎
Had a good. Sour beer there. The had a live band was a little too loud for me so left Maybe I’m an old man lol
Excellent local brewery with an eclectic mix of very good beers. The seltzers were good too.
Nice place first time in staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the brew. I will definitely go again.
Very busy for the first nice day of the year on the patio with a book.
Fantastic setup. Still a work in progress. Can not wait to sit at the outside area when the weather warms up. HUGE potential here.
Comfortable setting to enjoy Sand City brews with friends. Food truck is avaliable and group activities are sponsored occasionally.
It's a nice place, beer is good but when you go there and it's packed to the walls and theres live music it takes away from being able to sit down an enjoy your self I've driven through the parking and left bc of how packed the place was this is just my opinion as well I know they gotta do what they gotta do bc it's a business
Great selection of beers, especially IPAs. Can't even take some cans home with you. Cute picnic bench seating outside as well as a large room with tables inside. They let you bring in outside delivery food. Good low key spot.
Great place to have some brews and socialize. They take their beer seriously, and are the nicest people you could ever meet. Very laid back and friendly place.
Nice big brewery - especially since it's their 2nd location. The beers are good. We enjoy the breakfast stout and putting out fires but there are so many others that are delicious too. We've been here a bunch of times and really enjoy that they do Bingo and Trivia nights. Some of the bartenders are just okay and don't always know about the beers or how to recommend something - but Grimm is awesome - he's always willing to let you try something different & makes great recommendations.
Spacious brewery with a diverse amount of taps available. Beers were decent but a pretty good price so I can't complain too much. I had their breakfast stout which was pretty good. Would definitely like to come back to try their sours. Parking is a little confusing but there is plenty of it around to not have to mind too much. Staff is nice, quick, and helpful. Wish there was a little more seating available considering the size of the place. Didn't try any of the food but it was affordable and did sound quite tasty, would honestly want to come back to try it! Atmosphere was really cool and they had some live music from a cover band while I was there which was a nice touch.
Love that you guys have live music, but PLEASE put sound dampening panels up! The acoustics in that building are horrible!
Sand City South is Sand City's second and larger location in the old CVS. Big expansive space that gives off the warehouse vibe. If you enjoy IPAs, this is your kind of place with many IPAs and couple of stouts as of today's visit. Not much, yet, along the lines of Ales, Pilsners, Wheat, and lighter beers. Places was busy and has a good following of fans. Staff was great. I'll be back, but my rating of 3 stars is based off my beer preferences, your milage may vary. Good luck Sand City welcome to the south shore.
06/18/2023. Beer delicious. Personel very nice. Food truck really good. Only 3 stars because the the place smelled of old cleaning rags. Bathrooms were something not so great. Sorry but many better options.
Had a great time here with my bf. Chili was good and loved the beer flights got. Too many kids for me
Just a heads up: this place has NO air conditioning! I went for the very first time this week and it was 85 degrees inside all night and everyone was sweating and complaining. It was very uncomfortable. Even the beer on tap was just barely chilled. Unfortunately, I will not be returning in the warmer months. Might try again in the winter.
Beer was fine, but the pretentious attitude from all the staff was unbearable.
If there is a band playing plan to sit outside. I enjoy live music but it was sooo loud it was unbearable!!! Forget about having conversations with your friends.
I’ve been to the Lindenhurst location a few times and I was disappointed overall. The good - very spacious, live bands, people friendly. Also has large food truck outside. The bad - mostly hoppy beer selections, geared towards young, couldn’t find a malty beer. Even the red ale was hoppy. Small Craft Brewing company, in Amityville, a much smaller place, has a better selection of beers, in my opinion. Besides the lack of malty beers, the bar could use a good clean-up, a bad odor is near front entrance that can put off new customers. I would recommend also they clean their taps more often, two people in my party had stomach problems the next day. A busy place, that does quite well, that could do better!
Ever turn over a stone at low tide? Ever walk into a Petco and look at the ferrets? Somehow this place smells like both. The patrons and the venue needs a deep cleaning. Sound engineer needs to be fired. Do better
Can’t even get a telephone response! No one answers the phone!! Mailbox is full!! Very poor business relations!! May as well not even have a phone line!!
The music was about the best in that bar the atmosphere was terrible it was freezing in there you couldn't even get Seltzer or soda by the glass no food no nuts no popcorn no pretzels no nothing if they think that they're going to stay in people are not going to be happy with this I will not show up again if there was a band like that I will come
Horrible. Bartenders don’t pay attention literally waiting for 15 minutes for a beer and the place is empty. Bartender yacking it up with someone at bay ignoring other patrons. Will never come here again. Service nowadays is in the toilet. Don’t go to this place unless you like to be ignored.
Place closed at 11 pm last night and they are so excited to leave and close up on a Friday night that they threw out all our drinks and we were told to leave…. Well adios ! I am leaving for good! I hope you go out of business with the way you treat your customers….. terrible
I stopped in to use the restroom while in the area running errands on a Saturday evening. There was an awful odor as soon as I entered. Maybe this was an off day or the result of the dogs that were present inside that day. The bathroom was unclean and lacked essentials (No soap in the dispenser, etc.) The menu looked decent but I didn’t order anything so I can’t comment on that. I would suggest that they try to correct the overwhelming odor issue.
Went here Saturday at approx 630 on 10/18. Opened up a tab with my friends. At 745 my friend tries to exit to smoke a cigarette and the guy at the door tells him if he leaves and tries-to come in it’ll be a 20 dollar cover. I approach the gentleman and explain to him (I recorded this interaction). “I have Crohn’s disease and an ostomy and I need access to the medication in my car” also you have taken my credit card so if I leave and don’t allow me to re-enter how I can pay? which he replied to “I’m not giving you a wristband”. I asked him how this is possible and he said “we were supposed to clear the bar but didn’t” Following this interaction I watched him (and recorded) him let in (uncharged) every girl he deemed pretty enough. These recording will be sent to the lindenhurst chamber of commerce and along with the Babylon town board (it also includes him continually vaping indoors) I look forward to a reply from the management staff as the action of this employee violates the ADA.
