Avis sur Railroad Cafe Livermore
Amazing delicious food. Calm happy atmosphere. Great service. I got the chorizo scramble and added bacon. Yes yes yes. Come here for breakfast!
The restaurant is clean and the staff is very nice. They have numerous dishes with flavorful combinations of farm fresh ingredients. This place has been here for decades and the customers are mostly regulars who are also very sociable. Good eats at a homestyle diner!
This has to be one of the best places in the bay area hands down. The best food! Amazing service. And boy do they take care of there veterans!. I truly can't think of a better place to eat breakfast in the tri-valley area and will always be a returning regular breakfast eater now! :). Thanks again railroad cafe and the whole team for leaving me with a smile
Love this place! Great staff! Great food! Have tried about a quarter of the large menu and never been disappointed. In fact my family and I now come here for brunch every Saturday.
One of the best diner/breakfast places I've been. The crepes are fantastic, and the Swedish pancakes are world class. Totally worth the several minute diversion for 580 if you're heading to/from LA, Yosemite, or Tahoe. Really a treat. Strongly recommended.
Cheap and good. Lots of flavors you wouldnt expect. My wife comes here often and loves it. She says "best restuarant coffee". I ordered buffalo wings at 9:00AM and didnt get any funny looks.... they were fantastic!! They have a pleasant array of draft beers and different kinds of morning booze, and if you aren't into drinking like you're on vacation they have juice too. Everything was pretty good. Two people and a baby with coffees, wings, side eggs and an omelet breakfast walked away with a $30 bill, which is pretty dope.
This is one of my favorite places to go. I love sitting out in the back patio there's plenty of room bring your dog services great food is great prices are reasonable I've been going there since they opened. Very accommodating when you have six or more people
So far I have been here twice for breakfast. Awesome both times! First time I had the Chorizo Hash, which is GREAT! If you love chorizo, you won't be disappointed. This time around I got the Chicken Fried Steak. The chicken fried steak was nice and tender! It tasted great! It was smaller than I am used to, but I am a pig! LoL!!! I definitely recommend 833 Brick Cafe. The staff was friendly and courteous. They were on top of all our needs. :-)
Seems like a great place. The California Eggs Benedict was very good, service was good, atmosphere was good. I will definitely return to this place soon!
Delicious food, nice sized portions. The coffee was so fresh and the staff was very friendly! House salsa is mildly sweet, everything was full of flavor. The setting was also casual and comfy. I loved it, it will definitely be a go to breakfast/brunch spot! Thank you ❤️
I walked in and the kids were in love with the license plates. It looked just like my garage. The menu is diverse and caters to the pickiest of families. I have only ordered from the breakfast offering but was pleased all three times we've stopped in. The service was quick and always consistent. Thanks for a great experience.
Oh, this place was really good! I loved the name and it seems like a great family spot where everyone can have fun and enjoy delicious food.
Breakfast and lunch are great, with a very interesting menu. Lots of unexpected flavor combinations, and twists on old favorites. I love the pumpkin custard! The dinner menu seems fairly boring in comparison, reverting to more traditional diner food. Prices are extremely reasonable.
Just moved to Livermore and decided to try it out with my boyfriend. The food was hot, delicious, and fresh. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ambiance is a home kitchen feel, the booths are comfortable. 10/10 would recommend for a yummy bite to eat. As you can see we ate all/most of our food!
My husband loves the southern scrambled and I like the chilaquiles, And also we've been going there for a little while and they make you feel well-known

Ok, far from fancy and this is a breakfast food review only. I love a good breakfast any time of day and the omelets, pancakes, etc are amazing here. Good breakfast at a fair price ..for California 😀
Chilaquiles are delicious, tortillas are crispy and salsa verde is perfectly spicy.
I cant get over how the garlic fries here remind me of being at a baseball stadium for some reason. I get it with the club sandwich. 10/10 The chorizo scramble is my breakfast go to. Landon is the best when it comes to personality and service.
Grate service. Grate food.10/10 keep up the grate work.
Outstanding food and a lot of it! Everything I've eaten here has been really great.
I had a very nice Denver omelet, with country potatoes, orange juice and toast.
It was our first visit but it won't be our last. The food was excellent and plenty of it.
We recently visited this place for brunch and loved it. The quality and quantity of the food was very good. We went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was not too crowded. They had limited staff but took care of us well. I will definitely eat here again.
The service was great! The kitchen was fast. I ordered chiliques (sp) they were okay. Eggs were hot, tortilla chips fresh but it wasn't prepared properly. The chips were put on the serving dish salsa Verde barely warm poured over the chips then the scrambled eggs on top. Again they were good just not they way I'm used to having them. I will definitely be back. Prices were reasonable and it's close to doctor's office and shopping.

Good menu selection, well prepared food. Good for breakfast in a pleasant atmosphere. Service is a little slow, so don't go if you're in a hurry. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy a leisurely meal. There are some TV's available around the restaurant.
Stopped on our way through town when we were looking for somewhere to eat. Food was good. Service was good as well. It was quiet. Everything looked clean and decorated nice. It's a cute place.
This is not a Michelin Star-class restaurant but a decent breakfast diner. I think they serve meals at other times but all I have ever eaten there is breakfast. They serve a typical breakfast menu with a few different things. I have had their eggs Benedict twice and the first time it was passable but the second time was only so-so. The portions are adequate. The service is quick and they keep your coffee cup full. My experience with the service is what makes it four stars. The food is only three stars. The decor is clean but a little dated but, then again, I didn't come for the decor. All-in-all you could probably do better but I'm also sure that you could do a lot worse.
I needed something substantial for breakfast, so I tried the chicken and waffles !!! When I have this combo, if there's one thing I can't stand, it's waffles that just sink into a mush under the weight of the chicken. The waffles were stiff enough for the chicken to sit on top without collapsing, even with the addition of maple syrup. Very impressive and the dish still looked appetising even halfway through. The chicken was very tasty, well cooked with a truly crispy coating, I'm not sure how they got away with having almost zero oil in the batter, but it was the healthiest fried chicken I've ever had. Thumbs up on that!! The atmosphere and service was excellent with frequent refills on coffee and attentive staff. It is now one of my favourite breakfast places !!!
Good food. Great atmosphere. Nice and clean. Menu has good selections. My daughter was able to order a hamburger for breakfast, which is great for my non-breakfast food eater. Service was a tad slow despite not being super busy. All staff was super polite and friendly and weren't at all put off by the many requests my daughters had.
Food, drinks pancakes were really good! We really like the place but service was horrible! Never got coffee refill, server dropped off food and never asked if we needed anything else and never returned to check if everything was fine, we never saw him again after food was dropped! We didn’t have a chance to get togo boxes or even the check! We had to get up and go to the front and ask if we could pay for our food!!
Nice, not overcrowded place. My friend's pulled pork sandwich was tasty, and my salad was good- nothing over the top though. Convenient restaurant not in the busy downtown area.
We were a party of 4 and were seated right away. The ambiance was nice. Our server Landon was AWSOME!!! He was very attentive to our requests, oh so professional with personality plus. We ordered Chicken Fried Steak, Country Potatoes with Scrambled Eggs, Denver Omelette with Crispy Hash Browns, Scrambled Eggs with Country Potatoes and a Vegetarian Omelette with Steamed Vegetables and a side order Sausage Patties. The food was served piping hot, seasoned to perfection. Very tasty. This is our first time here and will return when we're in the area. Hats off to the cook.
The Railroad Cafe has been given a complete renovation, with brick facing on every possible surface. It's more effective in person than it looks in the pictures, and there are lots of fun details like a cork map of the United States. Highlights are the beer selection and the seafood sandwich, a pleasing blend of multiple types of fish and shellfish. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, which is a bit odd given the bar-like decor. I'll be back.
Ordered scrambled eggs got eggs cooked like an omolette and cut in small strips instead. Other than that I enjoyed my meal. French Toast was good and filling. The ham was ham (and thus good) but not particularly noteworthy. I will say however they did not skimp on the portions. I was full and then some. I'm of the quantity over quality school of breakfast thought so this place scores big in my eyes. The decor was also fun. Would come again for the decor alone.

Great place for our monthly breakfast Club.
We had a party of 7 and the service was good but everyone's food arrived warm and not hot. We didn't complain because they were busy on Dec 21st
We had a great time. The service was really nice and the person who seemed to be manager on duty seem to want to train his staff while they worked in a really positive manner. We were able to modify a meal to fit my eating requirements, and really had a very nice time.
Went for breakfast had eggs, hasbrowns and toast it was very good and reasonable. Has several TV's to watch the football games. The staff is very attentive and so friendly. Will be coming back soon.

Food is good. Waiters work hard as they are understaffed. It would help if they would find a way to acknowledge decaffeinated coffee customers and be able to fill your coffee more than once. Not a place to go of you are short on time.
Food was just warm, over medium eggs were runny, country potatoes were chewy rewarmed. Eggs Benedict hollandaise sauce was cold and they said it couldn’t be warmed. Very unappetizing. Expensive and disappointing.
The food is great. Landon the server amazing. But they are not equipped/experienced to seat large (11) parties. We waited 45 minutes and watched them give away tables and booths to groups that came in behind us instead of holding them to accommodate our group (tables next to them were finishing up).
We've had some good meals here, but more than once the service has been a problem. A couple of times it seemed they only had about half the people they needed to efficiently wait on tables. It would be better to close sections and tell people it will be a wait to be seated, instead of seating people and making them wait 15 minutes to get their order than another 20 minutes before you bring out cold food. It's too bad because the owner is nice and you can usually get a good meal here, but bad experiences make us think twice about coming back.
I have been there before and it was fine. Not great, but fine. This time? Wilted salad with a bug in it. I couldn’t eat it. Cheese steak was inedible, due to gristle. I returned it. They couldn’t make me a new one because it’s pre sliced. Ok… the burger to replaced it with was decent. But the 2 Inches thick of iceberg lettuce was just the spines. None of the leaf. I would have told the server, but, he never checked back. I was done with the prospect of complaining. I paid Full price for my meal, and was friendly, and still tipped 25%… so… it wasn’t me. Nothing else was offered. I probably won’t go back. Nope. Never.
Expensive for what you get and sluggish service. I wasn't impressed with service. The food was acceptable quality. But the staff appeared lost, sluggish and disorganized. My order was wrong, but I wasn't charged extra for the parts they forgot. I was surprised because it wasn't that busy. I wouldn't choose this diner like restaurant first when given the other choices present in Livermore.
The breakfast is not good. The biscuits and gravy are not worth trying. It must be cheap canned gravy. Somehow the hash browns tasted like burnt plastic. The sausage links seemed like they are the microwavable Jimmy Dean style that were freezer burnt. And they forgot the tomato slices on the salmon Benedict. At least the hollandaise sauce and eggs were done well. We might go back and give it another shot.
Extremely disappointed. We walked in, hostess was there but didn't greet us. Another worker walked up to grab something then turned around and walked away again with no greeting. He then came back to tell us it would be a 5 min wait, please note all tables and one booth were open and there was only one person at the bar. 10 min passed no one came to take us to a table so we left. Then we watched 2 couples walk and and each get seated immediately. Worst service ever!!!
I don’t like posting bad reviews but this was a terrible experience. We were ignored when we walked in and others were sat before us. We ordered our food and all the breakfast plates came out cold and missing the potatoes and toast. We asked the owner about it and she blamed everything on the waiter. She didn’t offer to bring the sides after we asked. She comped our drinks. She went to comp them and we watched her walk to the register and print it herself. She gave us a ticket that double charged us for the items with missing side dishes. Brought it to her attention and she actually blamed the waiter. That above all made us the most angry. It wasn’t his fault. Nor was the missing food. The food we did get was awful. Again not his fault. So we paid full price for breakfast platters that nobody ate and were missing the “included” side dishes. We called the waiter over and gave him a cash tip and told him she was going to talk to him about being properly trained so we made it clear to him that he did a great job and our complaint wasn’t about him. Paying all that money…about $90.00 for cold, inedible, partial orders of food was difficult to to. The owner needs to go to training herself and stop blaming the waitstaff and ripping customers off by not serving them what’s listed on the menu. We will never go back.
If I could give it zero stars I would give it zero stars, I went for the first time and the last time my daughter suggested this place as very good and friendly and none of that happened, the waiter served the others before us, he didn't ask if we needed anything? We asked for the bill several times and he never brought it. He worried more about the others. I went to ask a lady at the register to ask for it. She also said that it was already arriving and it didn't arrive after 15 minutes. Latinos don't come here to eat because I speak Spanish. They ignored them. completely
The booth was dirty and the seat was torn up. I ordered a burger medium rare. Was well done and greasy. I ordered a salad with it. The salad was warm. The cucumber was dried out. Couldn't eat it. Will not go back again
