The Perfect Afternoon Tea, to celebrate my 50th birthday in style and panache. The crystal moon lounge is absolutely stunning and the hospitality from the whole hotel team was outstanding,made to feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The sandwiches, Tea selection, scones , jam and wow the cake trolley with its selection of tasty pasties made me smile so much. Even received cakes to take home and a pot of there most popular jam. I chose to go on an afternoon tea for my birthday and I'm very happy we chose Corinthia. Our experience was great and the location was beautiful. Plentiful tea options and the sandwiches were delicious. I still think about the scones they were warm and soft, so good! I didn't really care for the desserts but I'm not heavy on sweets. Absolutely recommend for your London afternoon tea experience.

I’ve been to the Crystal Moon Lounge at the Corinthia for afternoon tea four times already, and I simply can’t get enough of the experience — I highly recommend it! This is more than just an afternoon tea: it’s an experience that keeps you coming back. With exquisite food, exceptional service, and a stunning atmosphere, the Corinthia sets the standard for what a luxury afternoon tea should be. The food is divine, not only in taste but also in presentation. Each dish is crafted with elegance, and the menu evolves over time, making each visit feel fresh and new. The tea selection is very varied, for all tastes. The service is impeccable, warm, thoughtful, and highly personal. You’re served by the same waiter, who will remember your dietary preferences and goes the extra mile to acknowledge any special occasion you’re celebrating with a thoughtful gesture. This attention to detail makes the experience feel truly tailored and luxurious. The ambiance is bright, airy, and elegant. The natural light and decoration create a setting that feels almost like dining outdoors while still being in the comfort of an opulent indoor space. Finally, children are warmly welcomed, with a specially designed activity set to keep them entertained…that is, if they aren’t already busy indulging in the delicious treats on offer! It’s a thoughtful touch that makes the experience enjoyable for guests of all ages.

I chose the Afternoon Tea at Corinthia among a highly competitive selection within the luxury sector. It was for my parents' visit and I had inquired about having some 'welcome back' amenities for them. The Crystal Moon Lounge is simply enchanting with its exclusive decor strictly linked to a special secret scent. We were welcomed by KATERYNA, who privately made me aware that she knew about my request for amenities and she wanted to ensure that she had the correct names. Later on, she came back to our table with a HAND-WRITTEN card for my parents. I mentioned it because not every hotel is so attentive. Then, we were served by ELKA, whose accent leaves you melting 🫠 Moreover, the way she looks after yourself will have you absorbed in the Tea's Experience.

Hands down my favourite afternoon tea in London! Exceptional service from James, they couldn’t do enough for us! The sandwiches and scones we delicious, we decided to take the cakes home as we were so full up with two rounds of sandwiches! Unfortunately a water bottle had leaked in our bag of sweet treats ruining them all, so sadly we never got to try them! Will definitely be booking again so we can finally experience them!

I had a fantastic experience at the Corinthia Lounge during my recent visit for tea and some light snacks. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, and everything from the presentation to the flavour was impeccable. A special thank you to Simone and Scott for their outstanding service. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make the evening memorable. They even arranged a penthouse tour on request, which was an unexpected and delightful highlight.

Amazing festive afternoon tea today for my mum's birthday! Definitely the best afternoon tea in London! Amazing 5 star service, fantastic sandwiches, fluffy warm scones, tea and delicious cakes. All of the staff were outstanding especially our lovely hostess and also the doormen were so lovely helping my elderly mum up the front entrance steps. Highly recommended the Corinthia really knows how to do afternoon tea!

In celebration of our anniversary, we opted for high tea at this location . It was a posh, elegant, and well-executed experience. The tea was delightful, and the sweet food was slightly better than the savory: but both were very good. Overall, we recommend this for a high-level high tea experience.

I had a lovely afternoon tea experience here today. The setting was relaxed and the staff were attentive and acknowledged my food allergy. The sandwiches and pastries served were delicious, as were the scones, but ended up having most of my pastries boxed and taken home as it was too much food! Definitely recommend this place if you want a nice, calm setting, good food and great service.

What an incredible experience. Coming in early from the stormy London weather (2.30pm original reservation time on Monday 27th Jan) outside we were greeted and told we could sit down earlier. This was much appreciated. Then the experience just kept getting better. We were sat at a lovely table right next to a lovely lady playing the piano. We then met our server, James, who is an absolute asset to your establishment. Very well spoken and his knowledge of the dishes was impeccable. Both of us had dietary requirements and James assured us multiple times we were safe with the food - we thank the Chefs for accommodating us. The selection of vegetarian and dairy free sandwiches was stunning - in particular the salted cucumber and the beetroot. The place was spotlessly clean, all the other servers were friendly. But James was the highlight of our experience, both having worked hospitality for many years we appreciate and value good service. On our way out we were met by Marco - again what a fabulous manager, who praised James immediately when we told him how fabulous James was. The discounted prices in January make this experience even more worth it. A pleasant treat on a rainy day in London. Thankfully my London office is round the corner so cannot wait to find another reason to celebrate and be back at the Corinthia.

While spending time in London we wanted to take the kids to an amazing afternoon tea. This tea was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. Anna was truly amazing and went above and beyond to make our time there special. My son says that afternoon tea was one of his top highlights from our trip. The ambience was stunning with beautiful fresh flowers everywhere. The sandwiches, scones and pastries were all so tasty! The tea menu was extensive which I really appreciated.

Tea for two! What a lovely afternoon treat. Food was on point and atmosphere relaxing as a pianist played in the background. It wasn’t noisy, rather a smooth way to spend a Sunday. Plates of endless sandwiches were served until you decide to stop. The desserts were sublime and who doesn’t love a scone! Service was as expected; 5 star high tea!

While visiting London we enjoyed afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason and Corinthia London, and it was a superior experience at Corinthia. The service was attentive yet relaxed, the tea was excellent and brewed correctly, and the food was well presented and tasty. My wife went for the vegan option and they executed on it well. If anyone is looking for one tea to do on a visit to London, I'd definitely steer them here over Fortnum and Mason

We had afternoon tea yesterday in the Crystal Moon and it was a beautiful experience. Rosa, our server looked after us so well, explaining the menu and giving recommendations when needed as one of my friends is pregnant. The setting is stunning, food exquisite - especially the selection of different teas and the sandwiches... wow! Along with Kevin on the piano who surprised us with songs by irish artists. It was by far the best afternoon tea I've had in London..thank you!

I don’t normally leave reviews but felt our experience deserved a 5* review The sandwiches and cakes were fresh and delicious, plenty of tea choices with an offer to replenish sandwiches. what stood out the most for us was the service, a big thank you to Dominic and Rose who made my mums birthday celebrations even more special, they went out of there way to ensure everything was perfect We would highly recommend and will certainly be returning

High class, great atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food describes this place. We went there to celebrate my wife's birthday. The tea started with finger sandwiches which were flavorful and ea complimented the sandwiches eloquently. Then we were offered several types of pastries, cakes and scones all served by a wonderful staff. Overall, an excellent spot to stop by for your afternoon English tea experience.

It was a great idea to come to The Corinthia for an afternoon tea. The iconic Baccarat chandelier is very impressive but what’s more impressive is the food. The sandwiches are really tasty, ordered from mildest to strongest tasting, the patisserie was delicious, so were the scones. We really enjoyed the Chai and Mango teas. It was a very well spent afternoon, will be back for sure.

Delicious and plentiful sandwiches and cakes, tunes we knew and enjoyed on the piano, and attentive but unfussy service by Carlo and all the staff made a fine celebration of my lady’s milestone birthday. Best we have yet found in London, and worthy of the occasion.

I went there yesterday, was being assigned a table in the hall way, which you can see the hotel guests carry their suitcase walk pass you, so we asked to change to the middle dining area. Nice ambiance, quite busy, at one point it took 10 minutes to get my coffee. Sandwiches and scones were nice, I'd say the sandwiches quality are between Savoy and Dorchester, they are replenishable but pastries and scones are not, which they said they are at first. The takeaway bag doesn't have separate space so everything stuck together when I got home. Overall nice experience and will be happy to go again.

I came to Crystal Moon Lounge for the festive afternoon tea with my family in December, as I have enjoyed my experience at other restaurants/bar (The Garden, Velvet) in Corinthia London before. The Crystal Moon Lounge is bright and airy thanks to its domed glass ceiling, which lets in an abundant amount of natural light. We were a party of six and seated comfortably at two large sofas and two armed chairs. The sandwiches were delicious, especially the ones with truffles and egg in mayonnaise sauce. Scones and cakes were decent, as one would expect at a 5-star hotel in London. Service was great. Marco and Bassam took good care of us. We could not finish all the desserts, and Marco offered to put them in takeaway boxes for us. When we asked if we could also take away the two truffles and egg sandwiches that we loved but were too full to finish, Marco kindly asked the kitchen to put six fresh ones in a box for us, which made my baby cousin very happy :)

I had a wonderful first afternoon tea at the Corinthia after wanting to visit for many years. As soon as we walked in the staff were very friendly and this continued throughout our visit. The service was more informal than I have experienced at similar London afternoon teas which I actually prefer as it felt more personable. The afternoon tea is served in the Crystal Moon Lounge which was a smaller room than I expected but still offers a luxury and intimate feel about it. I felt the staff were incredibly accommodating to dietary requirements; being pregnant there were two sandwiches I couldn’t eat but was provided with alternatives which wasn’t expected but of course appreciated! The egg mayonnaise was definitely the stand-out for me, the other sandwiches were good but if I’m being honest I don't feel they had that wow factor or were justified, I personally feel for £85 per person cucumber and cream cheese shouldn’t be offered! I had the decaf English breakfast tea which had a gorgeous subtle caramel taste. I then moved on to a white peach and mango tea, recommended by our waiter, and I could have drank three more teapots of it! I loved how the scones were served; they were warm, fluffy and served with Cornish clotted cream and both strawberry and apricot jams, although both plain. The sweets trolley came last, the milk chocolate and pecan gateau was absolutely divine and the peach and cream eclair was the perfect light palette cleanser. Overall I really did enjoy this afternoon tea and pleased that I finally got to experience it, but I do feel the savouries could have been better.

Ok, I think the teas (only tried 2 😞) were nice especially the matcha,mmmm, that vibrant green was mesmerising. The sandwiches were ok, the cucumber, salmon and turkey and cranberry?? had standout taste. The scones in a box was a nice touch and the jams were very good. The decor was nice with the moon chandelier being the main standout attraction. The service was very good, especially our man James (thank you), funny and friendly. I know why, but the two seated tables on the aisle isn't very appealing as you have hotel guests 'parading' and staring as they go pass. I think for that reason, I wouldn't go back unless in a party of 3 or more, but it was an afternoon tea venue ticked off

This was an opportunity for an afternoon tea; I will say it was like no other. Excellent service, but $200+ for two people without a champagne add-on was shocking!! The $41 and up pricing seems slightly misleading when there aren’t $41 per person options. This is a one-and-done. We would have enjoyed more than $125 in total, as that’s what the tea felt like. If you’re ok with the money they do a good job overall.

We did have a nice time, and the room is quite lovely with the magnificent chandelier complimented by the abundance of fresh flowers. The service however was a little offputting. The moment we walked in instead of greeting us properly, the hostess elected to say hello you have one hour and 45 minutes for your table and it didn’t really improve much from there. We were never offered a fresh pot of tea nor asked if we wanted to try something new, and anytime we wanted service we needed to flag someone down. The sandwiches were quite fine, but the desserts were outstanding! Bravo to the pastry chefs.

We arrived early and began at the Northall Bar, where we enjoyed delicious lattes and sparkling water served in elegant glass and metal mugs on silver trays. Our bartender was an absolute delight and even personally walked us to our afternoon tea reservation at the Crystal Moon Lounge—a thoughtful touch that immediately felt luxurious. The Crystal Moon Lounge itself is stunning. The chandelier alone is worth admiring, casting a warm glow over plush leather chairs while soft piano music fills the space. The ambiance promised exactly what one hopes for from a high-end London afternoon tea. The good: The scones were delicious—perfectly textured, and truly the star of the experience when paired with clotted cream and jams. The tea selection was excellent, and the champagne was served in the most beautiful flutes. The pianist added a wonderful sense of occasion and even stopped by to chat; he was jovial, charming, and a highlight of the afternoon. These details genuinely felt special and high-end. The disappointing: Despite the elegance of the main lounge, we were seated in what was essentially a corridor adjacent to the tea room. While we could see the beautiful central seating area, our table was along a thoroughfare where hotel guests passed continuously with shopping bags and luggage. This completely undermined the experience and made it feel anything but posh or intimate. The food beyond the scones fell flat. The sandwiches were underwhelming and frankly not worth the effort, and while the pastries were visually lovely, they lacked flavor and substance. Service was adequate but impersonal—efficient, yet without the warmth or attentiveness one would expect at this price point. After paying over £200 per person, we left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. Afternoon tea should feel indulgent and memorable, especially on holiday, and this simply missed the mark. We’ve already booked a reservation at Fortnum & Mason in hopes of a proper afternoon tea do-over. A beautiful setting with flashes of excellence—but sadly, not the experience we were hoping for.

Entering the Corinthia via Northumberland Avenue, the walk through the flower shop and bar area immediately sets an elegant tone. The scent of fresh blooms, the soft lighting, and the hum of quiet luxury promise something special. The Crystal Moon Lounge itself is visually striking; the chandelier glitters magnificently, and the floral arrangements are beautifully done. Sadly, the experience that followed didn’t quite live up to the grandeur of its surroundings. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table, though the chairs were notably tired and in need of replacement, a detail that slightly undermined the setting. Worse still, our seats felt awkwardly positioned in a corridor, with a steady stream of guests and staff walking past. Not exactly conducive to relaxation or romance. The Champagne was excellent and undoubtedly the highlight of the afternoon. The sandwiches were good and the cakes attractively presented, though the serving of just one slice of marble cake to share between two people felt a little mean-spirited for such an establishment. The Moroccan tea was lovely, and the scones tasty though disappointingly small charming, perhaps, but lacking the generosity and finesse one might expect from a venue of this calibre. Service throughout was polite and professional, but while everything was competently executed, nothing felt exceptional. For the price, one expects not simply good but memorable. One final observation there is no dress code, and some guests arrived in T-shirts and trainers, which further diluted the sense of occasion. Overall, while the Corinthia’s Crystal Moon Lounge dazzles at first sight, the afternoon tea experience feels underwhelming and overpriced, a triumph of setting over substance. With a little attention to detail, improved seating, more thoughtful presentation, and perhaps a touch of exclusivity it could truly live up to the splendour of its chandelier.

Very good blend tea, wonderful scones, fluffy and delicious! The sandwiches are the usual, the pastries are beautiful and delicious in themselves, but they also repeat the usual Viennese pastries. They are not well balanced, too sweet. The service is not up to par. Part of the hall is a kind of corridor, through which people from the hotel constantly pass, people in bathrobes for spa... it is not a 5 * experience. They forgot the ordered water, the supervisor refused to clear the used dishes, in the end they brought us someone else's outerwear. I do not recommend.

This is an expensive experience to experience! They had a wide range of pastry and tea, and for the premium, i barely saw anyone really eating - i mean how much sugar can one take. But its still a place for conversations and gatherings. Staff were excellent.

Service was wonderful - our server was very friendly. Went for the champagne afternoon tea. Champagne was a bit flat. Food was ok. Sandwiches lovely, scones delightful - but came under a napkin not in the box. The patisserie lacked flavour. It looked lovely - but they didn’t taste as good as they looked. We also noticed a few flies hovering around the cake trolley which had no cover or protection. Equally when guests walked past it felt like the cakes should’ve been covered. Atmosphere was fine. We were at a table that the servers used as a cut through so didn’t find it as relaxing as it could’ve been.

The last time I had afternoon tea was at the Burj El Arab hotel in Dubai and that was magical. Sadly our experience at the Corinthian was not at all worth it especially for the price. Our champagne was not at all cold. The cakes were completely flavourless and did not taste of anything! They looked good though 10/10 for appearance. The scones were delivered warm with clotted cream, strawberry jam etc However the selection of sandwiches looked as if they had been sitting on a plate in a kitchen for quite sometime and they did not look fresh.The selection was ( egg mayonnaise. Coronation chicken, cucumber and goat cheese and salmon). We chose the Corinthian signature tea which was a blend of Assam, Darjeeling and Earl grey tea. It was smooth and light. Overall, the crockery and cakes looked good, the champagne glasses were on point and the service was good too but the experience was nothing special. Afternoon tea at the Corinthian could be perhaps described as an event for a tourist visiting London but does not level up to an afternoon tea experience. The worst part is having to pick sandwiches and cakes by hand as small tongues / spoons were not provided. Gloves should have been worn by the waiting staff too. All of the above for a mere 180£ which we could have spent somewhere else. I do not think I would do a repeat nor recommend

Very underwhelming. Great service, mediocre atmosphere, and very simple food at unreasonable pricing. First of all, the service was great from the very first welcome to the end of our visit, professional and attentive. The location looks somewhat nice at a first glance, but being there it really lacks atmosphere. There is large crowds of people passing by, either hotel guests or just pedestrians using the hotel lobby as a shortcut, while you sit in the center like a zoo animal. It does neither feel calm nor cozy. About the food. It is widely known that all London afternoon tea experiences are overpriced but this one really stands out negatively. Sandwiches look and taste exactly like the plastic wrapped ones of an airport vending machine. The scones are of regular quality, good, but not outstanding. The pastry looks aesthetically pleasing and creative, but all of what we had tasted pretty much the same, overly sugary, no unique flavor. The expectations raised are way higher than that. Overall, I wouldn’t really recommend coming here, since there are way better afternoon teas in London at that price range.

Recently attended Festive afternoon tea, extremely disappointed! Uncomfortable seating, the table was more like a side table, no where to put your legs. However it could have been worse, as they had seating where people have to walk through to get around the hotel, thankfully this was not the case for us, so I would be cautious of this when booking. The pastries I thought were ok taste wise, but very small, It also seems they repeat the same thing every year having looked at pictures online only with slight tweaks. No macarons, no éclairs to be found, if thats your thing. Don’t expect extras! you get 1 of each and thats your lot. Not enough staff, we were sat waiting for drinks for 30minutes, only then to be given the wrong drinks. The worst is, there’s still some confusion if champagne is included in the festive afternoon tea. We never got any! and been told it is not included, but yet having spoken to friends and looking at reviews online, it is included. It seems they pick and choose when it suits them. So overall not a great experience.

I usually do not have a habit of writing negative reviews as I know that staff often have to manage situations that they are being put in by management. Our experience on a Saturday at this prestigious place was disappointing. To start with, we felt we were treated like a number throughout. The waitress rushed through her standard / scripted introduction way too fast to understand what was happening. It did not feel she took much effort in making us welcome and was more interested in getting the show on the road asap. We were told to quickly finish the sandwiches as they had to bring the scones, we were rushed to finish the scones to bring other deserts, constantly being made to feal we were being processed where the whole purpose is to enjoy everything together in peace and to relax. The waitress was also very keen to constantly push the hotel's agenda of making us have champagne as if she was paid on commission. The pressure to have champagne was unpleasant, and felt intimidating at some point. When I had a simple request to start my £85 experience with a simple coffee, that request was totally ignored.. In the end we did not have enough time to finish our tea / experience and therefore had to ask staff if we could finish the tea in another area of the hotel. There was not enough time to finish all the items, so 7 items were packed in two boxes. However, the way it was packed, meant that by the time we arrived home, all the items were squashed and crumbled. It had been packed without much common sense of packing, as one of the two smaller packages were placed in a half standing position hence all beautiful , nice looking cakes were smashed into one piece. The five tiny sandwiches were ok, but I would not combine bread and cucumber. The scones with jam were very tasty. The piano started playing approximately an hour into our visit. The venue itself was beautiful. The hotel says on its website that its afternoon tea is "A slowly unfolding pleasure that must never be hurried. A delightful reminder that time is a luxury to be savoured". However, as explained enough, we never felt this during our experience. Having to pay £100+ ( without champagne) for the above experience was definitely not value for money and the hotel should seriously think about either reducing the price or giving people much more time to enjoy this experience as there is currently too much of a focus on milking this to the max at the expense of the customer. P.S We had dinner later that evening at The Northall (the same hotel) and it was an amazing experience.
