This is one of my favorite hotels in London. The location is perfect, right near Picadilly. It's also across the street from Fortnum & Mason - so perfect for shopping. The staff is always cordial and accommodating. It lives up to the standards set by the founder, Rosa Lewis. I hope it will always be there.
We stayed at the Cavendish Hotel in London with my family. We were pleased with our hotel stay. The breakfast service was great and was served as a buffet. Especially, the location of the hotel was wonderful.
My stay at The Cavendish London was nothing short of spectacular! Perfectly situated in the heart of London, this hotel’s central location made it effortless to explore nearby gems like Piccadilly Circus and Buckingham Palace, all just a short stroll away. The seamless check-in and check-out process was a standout—efficient, friendly, and hassle-free, setting the tone for a delightful stay. The staff were incredibly helpful, offering personalized recommendations and promptly addressing every need with genuine warmth. The rooms were pristine, stylish, and comfortable, but it was the exceptional service, prime location, and smooth check-in/check-out experience that truly made this stay unforgettable. I can’t recommend The Cavendish London highly enough! Ian
The staff here is truly exceptional! Breakfast was delicious, and my server Rinci went above and beyond to assist. Every team member was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. The location is another highlight—everything is within walking distance, from Buckingham Palace to Piccadilly Circus. Highly recommended!
Overall good hotel, location and view from 12th floor was superb. Staff friendly and helpful. Superior Double room is nothing special, a very standard room. Unfortunately we had a leaking coffee machine and water coming through the ceiling from the room above into the bathroom. A standard hotel but in fantastic location, downside is you over hear the traffic of some kind drivers revving super car engines until about 02:30, sound proofing not great but I’m not sure what would block out the sound.
Me and my wife stayed for two nights I really can’t fault it . Clean friendly staff always helpful great no hesitation in booking again
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Cavendish London Hotel, and it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The location is fantastic, situated in the heart of London, making it incredibly convenient for exploring iconic landmarks and vibrant neighborhoods. Upon arrival, the staff greeted me with genuine warmth and professionalism, setting a positive tone for my stay. The check-in process was smooth, and I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a beautiful room with stunning views of the city.
Stayed here 1st Feb and had a great stay. stay were excellent and the room the the 14 floor was ineradicable with a great view of the city. location is perfect, close to everything worth seeing in London. we would defo stay here again!
We stayed at the Cavendish one week at the end of April 2024. It was not our first visit. Three things stand out consistently and results in our planning to say again and again. Location—walkable to touristy monuments, dining and West End theaters yet located in a quiet, safe and refined neighborhood. Staff is exemplary. Well trained and ready to assist. Rooms are quiet and well maintained with needed amenities a request away. On site dining and bar add to the features of this fine hotel. A must stay..
Fantastic hotel, a great day everything I ever dreamed of would recommend this hotel to anybody
I had a little bit of urgency in front of the hotel, they were so helpful to assist me and get me home even I am not the guest there. I am forever grateful 🙏

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel, and a big part of that was thanks to Anstasia. From the moment I arrived, she was incredibly welcoming, professional, and helpful. She made the check-in process seamless and went out of her way to ensure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Her friendly attitude and attention to detail truly made a difference. Exceptional service like this makes a hotel stay memorable.
This hotel is a lovely stay. the staff were exceptional, so nice and very accommodating. The food is unreal it’s definitely worth a visit
Lovely room, great location, amazing bed. But what made our stay truly special was the kind, gracious, warm, and incredibly accommodating staff. Definitely choose the breakfast included rate.
Friendly & professional staffs and very helpful . Room was well cleaned. Location in business area . I will recommend it to my friends.
I’ve recently stayed at The Cavendish London Hotel and it was lovely. Friendly staff, spacious and clean Room. Would recommend for anymore who’s looking for a quality stay!
We loved this hotel! The location is perfect, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The room has everything you need, although it is a bit small. It was clean and well-maintained. We appreciated being able to borrow a few US-to-Britain chargers, and they provided scales and helped us weigh our luggage.
A big thank you to Ms. Anastasia, the Hotel Manager, for her outstanding hospitality and attention to detail. She went above and beyond to enhance our stay, offering thoughtful accommodations that made a real difference. Her warm and kid-friendly approach created a welcoming and comfortable experience for our family.
Excellent service, location and accommodations. Very helpful staff. We went with our three kids, ages 5,6 and 8 and all staff was friendly and accommodating.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and they give you a warm and cosy feel away from home. I highly recommend the hotel 👌🏾
The hotel is excellent and their service is top notch. It's also a very clean hotel and I will recommend it to anyone that likes a conducive hotel because it is a home away from home
I spent 2 nights here and would definitely come back. The location is unbeatable and the staff was very welcoming. The rooms have all the thoughtful amenities and I also appreciated classic touches such as fresh magazines in the room and newspaper delivered to your room every morning. The rooms aren't as soundproof as some newer hotels but it quiets down at night. I had no issues having good sleep. Highly recommended.
Lovely room, great location, and an amazing bed—but what truly made our stay special was the kind, gracious, and incredibly accommodating staff. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. We also highly recommend choosing the breakfast-included rate—it’s absolutely worth it!
Wonderful location, next you Fortnums. Rooms are perfectly good (but not fancy) Having its own car park is a massive plus
This hotel is just fab. Went for our honeymoon night and stayed in the penthouse suite with the balcony. The bed was so great that we wanted to take it home. The bathroom was big enough to sleep a family of four in, with lovely toiletries. The lounge area opened onto a balcony with fabulous views of the city - especially at night. The staff were just brilliant and could not do enough for us - everyone from housekeeping to reception to the restaurant staff were great. Alasandrassa (?) at Reception worked some miracles for us and we're really grateful to her for making, and not breaking, our honeymoon. Thank you everyone. A most definite recommendation to stay if in London. Lovely location.
What a birthday treat. My line of work takes me through hotel stays but this was a stay with a difference. The decor, the reception and service was amazing. Friendly and helpful staff to make your stay as enjoyable. Great location to see London in a different eye. I will absolutely recommend to anyone to give Cavendish London hotel a visit. Worth every penny
Great location, nice spacious rooms. It's a little pricey, but not unrealistic for this part of London. Staff were excellent across all aspects. Reception, concierge, car valet, room service. Breakfast was superb, the only thing I'd change about breakfast is the bacon. They use streaky bacon, just cooked, it's better crispy. Or better still English back bacon is a better choice. (I'm ex breakfast chef) Thistle hotels. Overall a really nice stay and I'd visit and stay again for Theatre shows.
Fantastic stay at The Cavendish! Beautiful hotel in a perfect central location. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was spotless and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again!
From the moment we arrived, our stay was nothing short of exceptional—but what truly stood out was the incredible hospitality from the staff, especially Vanessa. A big shoutout to her for going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, including helping us get some special amenities during our stay. To top it all off, she surprised us with a beautifully handwritten card that added such a thoughtful and personal touch. It’s rare to find that level of genuine care, and it made our experience all the more memorable. Can’t wait to come back!
This was such a great hotel to stay in. The sleep quality was excellent, with wonderful staff especially Ammed who was so kind and helpful- as were all the staff. Super location.
Great location, amazing views from the 12th floor across London, fantastic staff for arranging a birthday surprise and a thank you to Ahmed for making our stay just that even more special.
We stayed at the Cavendish Hotel for a long weekend and enjoyed the stay very much. The hotel is located near St. James Park and Piccadilly Circus and is on a walking distance from many museums, shopping, and attractions. There is an abundance of restaurants in the area, and Soho is very near if you fancy some nightlife. The staff is friendly and correct, and one employee in particular stood out - Ahmed, one of the bell men, was incredibly helpful and service-minded, always with a smile and positive mindset. The rooms are good, but haven’t been renovated for a while. We stayed in a junior suite and it was spacious with a nice view. The beds are comfortable with several different pillows. We may stay here again at our next visit.
Location great, expensive and the rooms do not in my view match the price
Location was nice, right in city and has a tube 9 mins away, buffet continental breakfast, great fruit options. Double bed but with no room for anything else. Barely had room to walk around. Came with free coffee, tea and biscuits. Room had iron, ironing board, safe and hairdryer. Had large desk with 2 plugs, 2 USB a ports and 2 ethernet ports. Could not get TV working though. Bathroom was decent, very hot shower, but I did not hear a fan, and after an hour I could still feel the steam.
The standard rooms are tiny, but the establishment is ideally located and offers a very varied and generally good breakfast. Above all, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. A special mention goes to Ahmed, whose kindness and professionalism made this stay in London even more enjoyable! Thank you, Ahmed!
The room we got was 2 twin beds and there where very close together witch isn’t the best, but I did not reserve the rol. So I don’t know if they are previewed like that. Also the bathrooms had mold where you hang your towels and the only outlet in the bathroom is “shavers only”. But it is a good locations with lots to do around. Also there are no outlets next to the bed.
Really nice location in center close to Buckingham. Shopping paradise. Rooms are a bit outdated. Sound insulation to neighboring room not great. Room was cold and there was no option to increase the temperature (ac unit was only cooling). Breakfast is good. Friendly reception- and concierge service. All in all a good experience if you are willing to make some compromises on the room quality.
Great location, clean and tidy hotel. Room was slightly small but to be expected for the price and location. Staff very helpful and friendly.
The hotel boasts a wonderfully central location and has a luxurious atmosphere overall. However, the rooms are quite standard and the furnishings appear rather worn. One inconvenience I found was the lack of power outlets near the bed, which was not very practical. On a positive note, the staff were extremely courteous and very accommodating. My room faced Jeremy Street, and it was very noisy throughout all three nights of my stay — I didn’t sleep well at all.
Not a great experience checking in. I’d say the staff would have to improve in order to be described as “cold”. Not English. The room wasn’t ready. They couldn’t tell me when it would be ready. They wouldn’t commit to calling or texting me when it was ready. Their only suggestion was that I keep coming to ask them if it was ready. I did. 4 times over 3 hours. Each time the clerk would call housekeeping, chat for a few minutes and then say “not now. Try again in an hour”. Finally got in. Room is stuffy without being charming. Tiny. Someone else is reimbursing me for the room—they insisted I pay in advance—so I guess I shouldn’t look shift horse as they say. But it’s not worth the pounds they’re charging. Choose better
Rooms are a bit dingy. There was a smoke smell in my room and the carpets gave me really bad allergies.
The Cavendish Hotel in London has so much potential to provide a wonderful experience, but unfortunately, our stay was marred by an unpleasant and awkward interaction with one of the bellmen during check-in. While the property itself is lovely, the service we encountered from this staff member was far below the standard expected of a luxury hotel. Our troubles began when we arrived with a single suitcase. Despite politely declining his offer for assistance, the bellman insisted on taking the bag. This might have been a minor inconvenience, but his subsequent behavior was completely unprofessional. He followed us to the check-in desk and hovered awkwardly throughout the process, which made us uncomfortable. Once we received our room key, he followed us into the very small elevator, monopolizing the space while attempting to engage in forced small talk about how hard he’d been working. Upon arrival at our room, he took the key from my hand, entered the room uninvited, and closed the door behind him. He then lingered inside the room for an uncomfortable moment, clearly expecting a tip, despite the fact that we had explicitly declined his assistance in the first place. Feeling pressured in this way was both unwelcoming and inappropriate. It also makes me question guests safety. After he left empty-handed, the awkwardness lingered. To make matters worse, we encountered the same bellman later in the elevator, and he rode in silence with us, adding yet another layer of discomfort to our stay. Elevators are already confined spaces, and his presence without acknowledgment made for an unnecessarily tense moment. While the Cavendish has the potential to be an excellent hotel, staff behavior like this significantly detracts from the guest experience. Guests should feel welcomed and relaxed, not pressured or uncomfortable. I am happy to tip staff when service is truly helpful or deserved, but tipping should never feel like an obligation enforced through persistent and awkward behavior. The hotel’s management should address this issue to ensure their team embodies the professionalism and hospitality expected of a luxury establishment. As it stands, I would hesitate to return to the Cavendish, as such unwelcoming service undermines an otherwise lovely stay.
My stay at The Cavendish was excellent. The location, room, cleanliness, and overall service were truly outstanding. However, the lighting in the room at night was extremely poor. There were only small side lamps and a desk light, which made the room feel dark and gloomy. I mentioned this to the reception as well. Another point is the lack of power outlets beside the bed; the only outlet available was far away near the desk, which is very inconvenient for charging phones at night. I really loved the hotel, but these two issues would make me reconsider booking again. Everything else was perfect.
Stained bedsheets and very hard bed. Also for some reason the door to the bathroom is clear? (Made out of glass so I can see right thorough) Genuinely why? I don't wanna see other people doing their business nor do I wanna see someone look at my business in the bathroom, like seriously, why?
Was looking forward to a stay at the Cavendish but was extremely disappointed. The lobby was beautiful the staff was very nice when I got to the room it was very small and very dirty stains all over the floor, chips in the bathtub and no place to put any toiletries. As the bathroom is extremely small. I looked at three other rooms but they were all very similar there needs to be a major upgrade to this hotel. I would not stay there again spent one night only and then left.
Arrived after a long and tiring international flight on a sunday just so that they can have me wait 30 mins in the lobby since the room was ‘not ready’, even though i was there at 2pm ON A SUNDAY… an excuse from a hotel like this is unacceptable, and just proves the disregard and disrespect they have towards the client. And the employee named Shadeeb, not caring to even put an effort to assist me, made it even worse by telling me that check-in is at 3pm. Two thumbs down for u shadeeb 👎🏼 👎🏼 This hotel deserves 0 stars. I do NOT recommend this hotel.
The location is the hotel’s only real advantage. The property is overpriced, and the issue of repeatedly requesting the return of the deposit remains a persistent inconvenience. The furniture is quite dated, and the rooms are noticeably small.
My deposit was withheld for over five days with no explanation. When I called, I was hung up on twice and was told by a staff member she “doesn’t get paid enough to explain.” Management did nothing meaningful — if I hadn’t chased it myself, I wouldn’t have gotten my money back. No apologies, no accountability, just a “won’t happen again” comment. Completely unprofessional and very disappointing.
I started off in 2 rooms because we were a family of 5. First the rooms were 908 and 317. 317 was cramped and the air conditioning wasn’t working, and 908 smelt terrible, so we moved to room 910, and we had to accept 317. After that, my sister was showering. I do not recommend this hotel at allllll based on what happened… some poop came out of the shower!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Breakfast was terrible as well. We moved to room 1410, which smelt like sweat and was going to make me vomit. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone, although Ahmed was very nice and offered everything we needed without even asking.
