First time here and this place is great! Food and drinks are great. The bartender is really sweet. The owner is a super nice guy!! The patrons were all friendly, chill and made great conversation. I just moved to the area and I will definitely make this a regular hangout.
My little break room too life, I buy weed down the street. I smoke, take a walk down and this is my first and lost stop on my little bar hop.

Impeccably clean great billiard set-up
Super chill vibes, bartender was awesome!
Once in a while, I like to play Pool. The Thirty Six Thirty Six Club has good Pool tables. In my experience, customer service is friendly, and good. I don't drink alcohol so I can't tell you about the club's drinks, and I've yet to even look at the menu for food options so I can't tell you about the club's food. Still, it seems like management makes sure to take real good care of the Pool areas and equipment. Each Pool game costs a dollar. You must wear a mask to enter.
I've always enjoyed the 36/36.... The epitome of a fun place to go. Local town feel to it, good music box, pool tables, and friendly help. QUESTION.... Haven't been in a couple months.... Are operations back to normal? Hours Pool table access Covid restrictions ? I'm a 60 minute drive from there....any help would be appreciated: Michael at: [email protected]
Went to Undergrad and law school while living in L.B. 36/36 made life better. Beats all the places in The Shore, if you are a local. Then, lived at the beach....but I still drove over to the good 'Ole 36/36 for many years. Always like a big family. 30 years later now, and the only things I miss about SoCal are the 36/36 and the Angels. Still, every time we go home for a few days, I am happiest when I can slip unnoticed into this little piece of heaven for a few hours. Never change! Please!!
-Cash only -No tap list -Inexpensive -Very cold bottles of beer || The best dive bar I've gotten to know. I avoided 36/36 for a long time but, to my surprise, I find it clean, well ventilated, spacious, and accommodating. Two bar-sized pool tables, a decent jukebox selection, never too loud. Inexpensive. Downsides are a lack of taps for beer, no proper ginger ale for ginger-related drinks. But, no one expected it to be perfect. If you walk in at all, you're not really going to care about a few missing ingredients or components; in fact - one would argue - this adds to the aesthetic of the place. Trust me on this one; if you're willing to go at all, you're going to accidentally end up loving it. PROTIP: There's a laundromat right next door; do some laundry, play some pool, grab a drink.
You won't find a better dive in LB,this is the place to be,great staff, good music,2 pool tables and Locally world famous "Ricky's" tacos. I recommend this place to anyone that doesn't know about this diamond in the rough.
For myself personally, 3636 club is the head cornerstone of dive bars in LB. I rate it 5 stars every time I go because of the friendly atmosphere, people and great service.I Definitely recommend it. this bar features Ricky's Tuesday night TACOS (check website for other nights as well) . A stand up regulation golden tee (current) and 2, yes 2! pool tables that are very well taken care of along side a working quarter change machine. Also a Touchtunes jukebox is generally always on unless of an event. And Please Drink Responsibly Thanks
If you're doing your laundry at Fluff Dry, stop in and treat yourself. Great vibes from this place. Pool tables, jukebox, arcade games and cold, cold, cold beer is here for enjoyment.
Great dive bar, the people who go there are very nice. I love Misty, she's a wonderful bartender and person, cash only and worth every penny.

- Cool dive bar w/ pool tables, TVs, and a tavern feel inside. - Far enough past all the Broadway Ave seen, so it feels like a place for the neighborhood locals. - It's a cash only bar.
Great local historic dive bar in LB. Small, yet room enough for two pool tables, touchtunes and taco menu, makes this a personal fav as a go-to,for late night bar bites and drunken fun with friends!
Awesome drinks and great prices. Fun friendly spot with great bartenders. In the morning it looks closed but if you push on the doors they open so dont walk away thinking they are not open.
Cool like spot, bartender was a little busy and too busy to go get a T-shirt. So if that's the case, maybe put the T-shirts somewhere it's easy to access. Isn't that free advertising ?
I’ve been in Long Beach for sometime now. 3636 has been good to me. Was there over the weekend, Greeted with a smile. Music went from Queen, to Hard Rock to R&B to Rap. Juke Box! Neighborhood Crowd, people chatting up, spending time with friends or family. Slick, perhaps Polyester Pool Table covering. Not like Felt. I like. I’ve heard some Great Players drop by from time to time. I ran into 2, I’m decent.

Inexpensive drinks bad pours... dive bar is suppose to welcome healthy pours not measured ones. Still searching for the personality of the bartender, just because I'm not a regular or local doesn't mean you lose your customer engagement. May try again, but not sold...

One of the worst experiences I've ever had at a bar. My wife and I walked in to the bar and we were treated with absolute disrespect. We felt uncomfortable the atmosphere was awful. I'm not sure if the older lady at the bar was racist or if she was just having a bad day. The crowd is older not diverse and the bar tender was just out right rude. Will never return. Honestly don't know how they are still even in business. We walked out to laughs and I even heard the bar tender say " good choice". Smh. Don't waste your time at this bar.
I went and experienced what I grew up in the Deep South…straight racist bigotry, which has no place in 2024!! This white waitress ruined a good evening not for me but my date. I refused to be intimidated or belittled by anyone. If you are a person with any pigment in your skin, just pick another bar in Long Beach…you’ll Thank me later!
Apparently it’s not allowed to hug your significant other in this bar. The extremely rude blonde bartender on Thursday nights disrespected my boyfriend after I left saying he owed her $20 for putting her “through that” referring to us hugging each other. We had gone in there because he frequents there and was trying to show me a bar he and his cousin play pool at and while we were waiting for his cousin to arrive we ordered water and she immediately showed discontent and I was a bit confused as I am a bartender myself and I would never shame anyone for ordering water especially if they say they’d order drinks after… I also over heard her saying “I’ll kick out whoever I want out of this bar” so I was beginning to feel like we were unwelcome, mind you, we were completely sober and minding our own business and were respectful while asked for water, anyways it was max 20 min that we were there enjoying each others company and she had the audacity to refuse to serve him a drink and water after I left unless he gave her $20 separately for us being together?! You would never think that a bar on Broadway street, a very accepting area of Long Beach to be so discriminating. This was Extremely rude I will NEVER return to that bar again.
