Avis sur Manaow Long Beach
My first time eating at this excellent Thai restairant. We ordered the spring rollls, seafood curry .beef paid thai and the very delicious Tamarind chicken. I eat in a lot of excellent Thai restaurants in Thai town LA and all I can say their food quality and customer service is top notch.
Stopped at Manaow to pick up take out the other night and it was really good. Can't believe I've lived around this place for the last few years and have never tried it. Ordered tum yum noodle soup, spring rolls, thai tea and their fried cod dish. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The restaurant is located in a small lot shared with several other businesses with parking available.
Hands down one of the best Thai spots in LB. Definitely not the cheapest but worth the extra bucks for the quality! Beef pad see ew is my favorite go-to. Recently tried their tom kha and roasted duck rice, both were a hit. Never leave without mango & sticky rice or whatever desert is in season. 🤤🤌🏽
Had lunch at Manaow today and would highly recommend. We ordered spring rolls for an appetizer and they were delicious with the perfect crunch. For their house beverages I recommend the limeade with honey. It was very refreshing. Food was very good and service was fast and friendly.
Holy S***. I haven't written a review for a place this quickly after I've eaten there. First off, the ambiance is sleek, yet cozy and the sitting arrangement (booths and benches) makes you feel like you're going to have an intimate experience not just with your fellow diners, but with your food too. The service was quick, hospitable and informative. Can't ask for more. But then, there's the food. The ribs gave me a religious experience and for a brief second they made me forget that I can't moan like a cow inside a restaurant. With my eyes rolling in the back of my head, I tried the the Pad Thai which was subtle, but yet plentiful and fresh. Lastly, after my soul had rested, I tried some of my girlfriend's Tom Kha soup which sent me back to the heavens with it's creaminess, slight spiciness and rich flavor. What made me even happier was that despite the additional two (unnecessary but superb) Thai teas, our total was under $65! Plus, we took part of the Pad Thai and Tom Kha to-go. So, if you're from the neighborhood, it's a must, and if you're not from the neighborhood, it's a should.
From Flight Drink Sampler to Main Entrees Then Dessert, Everything Was Great & So Tasty With Gourmet Simplicity! Service Was On Point, From Table Cleanup For Setup & Greeting From Our Waiter. Definitely An Ambience For Family & Friends to Gather For A Delicious Meal or Date Night. One of The Best Thai Spots, I've Enjoyed In Quite A Long Time! Thank You For This New Favorite Spot!!!
Everything was so good. Great service, amazing food and cool spot. Ordered a flight of their drinks(tamarind, thai tea, thai coffe, and 2 other ones) by the time I got there the tamarind juice was already finished but they offered to exchange it for any of the other ones, once you are done a full size of any of the drinks is included. Only con is that I saw no alcoholic drinks, but there are bars around the area. I do recommend and I will most likely come back soon.
This is the 2nd time I come to this place. My first time I was a bit hesitant because I am huge on quality of food, especially when it’s any type of authentic. Nevertheless, the place has amazing food. We had the southern style curry and the pineapple fried rice. For dessert we had the sticky mango rice (see picture). Everything here is very flavorful. One of the downfalls is that it can get pretty crowded, but I guess that is a good thing for them and I cannot knock them for that. In my opinion, the times i have come, the staff was very attentive
This is one of my favorite places to eat in and by far my favorite Thai spot in Long Beach. The staff are always friendly, attentive and accommodating. My go-to order up until now has been the Kao Soi, to the point where they know my order as soon as I walk in the door but I’ve been trying to branch out and some other dishes that have stood out are the Chicken wrapped in Pandan, Panang and green curries, Papaya Salad, Pad See Iew and the Pad Thai. The mango sticky rice is also not to be skipped!
The best Thai bistro I've ever been!! The design is simple and modern, the staff is very (I mean veeeeeery!) friendly and the food is top-notch! Southern styled curried noodles — very balanced, hearty meal. I think I loved the broth and noodles even more than chicken (and I'm a huge fan of poultry, haha). Thai beef noodle soup — the broth with celery is ammmmmazing! Also their drink flight! You'll have 5 samples of different drinks and can choose the full size of the one you'll love the most afterwards! I wish every restaurant/bar has this option! Will definitely come back here to explore other options!
I tried this little place with my friend a couple of weeks ago. It’s in a very eclectic neighborhood in Long Beach with lots of dining options nearby, and was glad we chose to eat here. I had the Pad Thai and my friend had yellow curry with rice. We both enjoyed our meals and got a good portion for a (very) reasonable price. The service was also very friendly and the restaurant had a very chill cafe/sit down restaurant fusion vibe going on that was really welcoming. I would go here again.
I was in Long Beach taking care of some business, and found this place with nice reviews. Parking lot of small, and street parking could be difficult at times. We were seated promptly, and the restaurant was a bit busy. We ordered chicken satay, pad Thai, khao soi (Thai curry noodle), and drink sampler. The chicken in chicken satay was very tender and flavorful! Pad Thai was decent. Khao soi noodle tasted very authentic than the ones I had in northern part of Thailand! It brought back a lot of good memories when I was traveling! The drink sampler teas awesome and the drinks all tasted good, and we get to pick one that we have a full serving. It was a bit pricy, but the food and services worth it! I will come back again if I am in the area!
The food was delicious. Even though I wasn’t very hungry when I arrived, I ended up clearing my entire plate—something I rarely do without needing a to-go box! The customer service was equally impressive; the staff greeted me immediately and stayed attentive to everyone in the room throughout the meal.
Manaow Thai is a cozy gem. The place is small but has a warm vibe. The ambiance is a bit loud. The food was flavorful, well balanced, and flavorful but small portions. Although it was very busy, the service was quick and efficient.
Delicious and fresh! Their papaya salad is the best I've had. It's so aesthetic inside as well
Excellent Thai food. The fish dish is superb the flavors are really top notch. Prices are reasonable but portions a bit small guess that's the tradeoff. If you're a fan of Thai check it out really good. Order several dishes and share. Had pad Thai spring rolls, yellow curry, waterfall beef salad along with the fish.
Our friends who are local in the Long Beach area took us here for early dinner and certainly didn’t disappoint and enjoyed every moment and food and culinary experiences we had! We started with their papaya salad, then crab cakes for starters then walked our way to the tamarind wings and other restaurant specialties. Everything was great, including their dessert ( sweet sticky rice with mangoes ) as well as their cocktail drinks. I personally enjoyed the one with lychees. Sorry I forgot the name. Service was great and fast! Our waiter was very knowledgeable and loved everything that he recommended. Located in the neighborhood of Long Beach height this place is quaint and intimate but definitely worth the drive and wait. Ambiance is modern and fun! Parking could be a challenge but we got lucky getting the street parking for free. I would recommend this for people that are looking for good and authentic Thai food in the area.
My daughter and I found ourselves in Long Beach to pick up a window. We decided to have lunch at this wonderful gem of a restaurant. I consider myself to be a foodie and let me tell you, this place was delicious. My daughter is kind of picky and to hear her ask if it was just her that thought it was better than other places we've been to or if I thought the same. I absolutely told her that the food we were enjoying was amazing. She ordered her go to usual Chicken Pad Thai dish. I ordered the Waterfall Beef Salad, a side of white rice and for dessert we got street style pancake. The combination of all the flavors in each of the dishes was like a party in my mouth. I highly recommend.
Excellent Thai food. The Waterfall Beef Salad was amazing. Try the Tamarind egg appetizer! Limeade was purple and amazing!! Highly recommend!
Highly recommended. The food was great, and they have a special drink which is come with a tester, and then you have to choose out of five tester . Peaceful environment inside and so nice outdoor sitting area with great service which I give them 5 stars. Absolutely delicious Thai food comes with fresh dishes. They have restroom inside and parking available in the lot. We went for lunch and we really love this place. The waitress was so friendly and explained their menu with patient.
Dinner was amazing at Manaow. We are pretty local to this area and decided to get dinner while getting some laundry done next door. The wings were sticky and crispy. Really enjoyed their take on it. The mango sticky rice was expected to be good and it was! For our mains the Pad Thai was classic and flavorful. I got the Northern noodles and those were different, but if you can't decide between curry or noodles, that's the way to go.
best thai food place i have ever been to!! all of our dishes were perfect and tasted amazing. we got the tamarind wings, tom yum shrimp soup, duck salad, and mango sticky rice. definitely recommend this place for quality thai food.
Excellent food and service. We came very close to closing yet the food was perfect and we didn't feel rushed. Edit: In town again and the 2nd visit was just as good as the first!
I quite like this Thai restaurant; it is bright and cheerful inside, it seems like a common gathering spot for the local community; the staff are friendly; prices are decent; and the food is great. One note: they're not kidding around with spice levels! Medium spice was for me full on spicy (i.e. where the spice starts to compete with the flavor). I really enjoy this place and have been back several times.
I don't know where to start.... I came here with my GF on 08/24/22 and this place blew our taste buds! Everything was surprisingly delicious and had so much flavor. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I had forgot to mention that I had a peanut allergy after they had taken our order and brought over the papaya salad with peanuts on top. I then notified the waitress that I was allergic. She immediately removed the papaya salad and brought over a new one with a smile on her face. I had already felt bad and kept apologizing, but she kept smiling and insisted it wasn't a problem. This right there was already a great experience and the best customer service I had received in a long time at a restaurant. The papaya salad tasted so good once we had taken a bite. Soon there after we received more and more food. The flight of drinks came and if you didn't know, they will give you a free drink in actual size for the one you like the most. This was a very hard decision to make as each one tasted so good, but we went with the classic Thai Tea. Next, we had the beef skewers and this had to be our favorite dish. The sauce paired with the beef skewers was so so so good! Finally, we had the pad see ew and green curry with steamed rice. Overall, I'd definitely come back again with friends and family to share this amazing Thai food. Cause with good food, it's even better when you share it with the people you love.

The Pad Kee Mao lunch special was excellent, not sure how the eggs in it were extra flavorful (compared to eggs elsewhere). Friendly staff and lovely interior.

We have been coming to Manaow for 10+ years and love it just as much every time. Consistently delicious food and friendly service in a clean and modern space. We moved to Oregon but still consider Manaow the best Thai restaurant anywhere hands down and visit every time we’re in town! I am a big fan of manaow best restaurant ever i love their pad thai and papaya salad but really everything is great! 👍🏻
My favorite thai place in long beach. Very consistent food. Always fresh and and delicious. They can make their pad thai gluten free which is nice for the celiac folks like me. I love the yellow Curry too. My wife loves the thai omelet. Dining room is super clean but can be very noisy when they are busy. Not a fancy place inside. Just basic and clean. Service is efficient and friendly. Parking lot is tight when busy. You may have to park in nearby streets during extra busy times.

Thai food was delicious. We ordered the Chinese kale with belly pork and was absolutely amazing. Also we got the tofu curry with noodles and the curry flavor was just perfect. The service in general is great, just be sure you have enough time to wait until you get your food and enjoy it.
In late 2023, My husband and I, along with another friend, had dinner at Manaow. We arrived and were able to sit pretty quickly. I got a Thai iced coffee (extra sweet) and it was perfect. My husband got a Thai iced tea and it was bit too sweet for his liking but he doesn't enjoy sweet drinks like I do. I had a sip and thought it was pretty tasty. Everything we ordered was pretty good. We ordered the Crab cakes first and were surprised to see that the description included crab and minced chicken breast. They were good, especially dipped in the sweet chili sauce. We also got the Crispy Thai Spring Rolls which we good. For an entree I got the Mixed Fried Rice which was a traditional version and very filling. All in all it was good food and good service, the restaurant had a large party come in right after we ordered but it didn't delay our meal. Also parking is available in the lot directly in front of the restaurant and when that's full there is plenty of street parking around.
Great Food, But Service Needs Improvement. The food was really delicious—flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared. However, the service was painfully slow. It took far too long to get our orders, and the wait between courses dragged on. If they can speed things up, this place would be a top pick. Worth it for the food, but be prepared to wait.
Really liked the Chicken pad Thai. Nice atmosphere, terrific food , great service . My wife and her group all liked it.
The food at Manaow is fantastic. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for over a year and wish I found it sooner. The curry and pork belly were fantastic. Minus one star because the service was questionable. I really felt we were an inconvenience to our server. She didn’t seem happy to be there, which is unfortunate. Will definitely be back though for the food. Maybe a take out order..
I stopped by Manaow Thai and ordered the Chicken Chili & Basil, which comes with ground chicken, basil, bell peppers, jalapeño, fresh garlic, and fish sauce, all served over jasmine rice and topped with a fried egg. This was the only dish I’ve tried so far, but it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced — definitely a great first impression. The restaurant itself has a nice, cozy feel with a clean interior and a soothing atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, and provided great customer service, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu.
Went here for dinner with my family. Place is contemporary but the acoustic is poor so it's pretty loud at about 75% full occupancy. The food is pretty good though a tad Americanized. Highlights included kao soi, crying tiger and hat yai fried chicken. Portions are not abundant, which is fine so we got a chance to share many different dishes. Service was polite, quick and attentive.
Great Northern Thai cuisine. Chef was a seasoned artist and a know how to layer the taste profiles. Papaya saladwas tasty - need a bit more lime juice or acid to balance heavy use of fish sauce . Overalls, it was a well run Thai restaurant in Long Beach area. I like the set menu as well for lunch. Wish they had 1 set menu with BBQ protein for summer. Just a suggestion. Service was attentive, clean restaurant. Khai soi was well done balance not to Northern vibe. Tasty.

Definitely got my Thai food fix in here. Kitchen knows their stuff. Everything came out perfect as far as plating, flavor, and completeness. A few notes on service: - Friend asked for straws, and it was forgotten (NBD on its own) but no one came back to check on us till the food came out which was much later. In between those times, I had to go ask them to drop off straws. - Ordered the Southern Style Yellow Curry Noodles which were fantastic!!! However, when the server dropped off that one dish, I thought he said some other name. (I am deaf in one ear but can "generally" read lips ok. Well guess what...) I noted what I did* order just as a "double-check" / "due diligence" thing, and he frowned/side-eyed as he set down my food and walked off. That rubbed me the wrong way, especially after noting that I said I misheard. If not for the above, experience would have been perfect. I will probably order takeout or something next time.

Service was unfortunately not very attentive. Two starters were ordered, which unfortunately arrived after each other. For this, the main courses came together with an appetizer. Appetizer was very burnt and therefore could not be eaten. Would recommend that there should hire more service staff.
Service isn’t good. We ordered chicken wings and food. After 1/2 hr I had to ask when they would get the food and they checked and brought in the food. Still waited > 20 mins for the rest of the food. Wouldn’t visit this place again. There’s a lot of other Thai food places with good service.
