Went for my birthday dinner with some friends and the ambience was unmatched! The food was next level and all of the staff were very polite and inviting! My Espresso Martini hit the spot! And yess Caviar made me feel like I was Prince of Wakanda! We had to make a reservation and got the set dinner menu that was offered! Everyone enjoyed their food!

Perfect date night! The food and drinks are delicious. The views are superb. They offer valet but also do validated parking which I didn’t know before going. The waiter was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We were given complimentary cornbread with avocado snack while we waited for our food. It is a fixed menu but the options are great. We were originally seated away from the windows but our waiter was able to move us to a window seating once a table opened up which was super nice. We also were given a complimentary champagne and dessert after we finished our dinner. Really loved my experience and would return. It is pricey but I think it’s worth it to spend once in a while.

I was in LA for work and had never been to this restaurant before—we stumbled across it online and decided to make a reservation. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. Valet parking was a lifesaver since parking in the city can be tricky. As soon as we walked in, we were blown away by the gorgeous view and the warm, inviting ambiance. For my meal, I ordered the Handkerchief Pasta to start, followed by the ribeye, and finished with the strawberries and cream for dessert. Every single dish was phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I couldn’t find a single flaw. For drinks, I had the West Hollywood cocktail, which reminded me of a cinnamon apple in the very best way. Our server was attentive and thoughtful, even bringing out a small appetizer sample before our courses arrived. Toward the end of the evening, he offered us complimentary champagne, which was such a kind gesture (though we were too full to accept!). Overall, this was an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re in LA, this place is an absolute must-visit!

Had an amazing night at 71Above ✨ The food was fantastic my steak was even better than some of the best steakhouses I’ve tried. Their cocktails are a must-try. I just picked the wrong wine this time (should’ve stuck with Cabernet instead of Pinot 😅). Delicious salad, incredible dessert I loved everything about it!

Humble Hustle

Levi was our server, very friendly with some good stories! The food was amazing start to finish, we went on a Friday night for my wife’s birthday and everyone was very kind to her. The view is unbelievable, I used to go to LA Prime for a great view but this is another league of food and beauty. This was a night I will not forget.

Almost perfect dinner. 3 course set menu. Meat quality was not perfect, the rest of the food was great. Excellent service and knowledge from bartenders and sommelier. Waitress have some more to learn. Atmosphere is great, and the view is amazing.

The views were well worth the visit and staff were attentive without being overly intrusive. Food was good enough for the evening, it was a nice experience

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 – Incredible Views & Service, but Food Needs a Few Tweaks 71Above is one of the most visually stunning dining spots in Los Angeles. The ambiance is modern and elegant, and if you’re lucky enough to be seated by the windows, the panoramic views of the city are absolutely breathtaking. Service: The staff was excellent—attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The level of service definitely reflects fine dining standards. Food Review (3-Course Dinner): • Farm Salad – 4/5 Fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully plated. Great way to start the meal. • A5+ Japanese Wagyu – 5/5 (for the steak) Melt-in-your-mouth delicious. One of the highlights of the night. ❗️However, the potato served with it was overly salty and barely enjoyable, which took away from the perfection of the main course. • Desserts – unfortunately disappointing I ordered the Blueberry Pavlova and the Ilanka Chocolate Semifreddo. Both were overpowered by an extremely sour lime component, to the point where they were not pleasant to eat. The flavor balance was way off. ⸻ 🎯 Overall: ✅ Amazing view ✅ Excellent service ✅ Wagyu was unforgettable ❌ Sides and desserts need refinement I’d still recommend 71Above for the experience alone, but I hope the kitchen adjusts some of the flavors so the food can fully match the beauty of the space.

Very nice view of LA from above. Very expensive 3 course meal as the price per person is 107$ not including drinks. Good for a one time dine. Only recomendation is don't get the wagyu beef. It's not as good as traditional wagyu from Japanese or Korean BBQ restaurants. They cut the beef too thick and not as good as thin ones from BBQ places. Not worth the 60$ up charge. Go to authentic Japanese places for that. Otherwise everything else was decent taste.

It could have been a 5 star but I really only enjoyed the first course, the octopus. Expected more from the Pork Loin. The dishes were quite simple so you won’t get full. I feel like they could work on the presentation for the Pork Loin, but don’t recommend that dish. However, having a seat by the window was nice but probably won’t be back again.

My experience was not an amazing dinner experience at 71above restaurant. The food wasn't up to par, but the atmosphere was absolutely amazing! The ambiance was so cozy and inviting, it made up for everything else like the minimal service and par tasting food. I will not be coming back due to the experience that was not meeting my expectations. If you're looking for a place with a great atmosphere for a one time visit, this is the place. If you're looking forward to the food, this is not the place.

As you enter the restaurant you’ll be lightheaded from climbing 71 floors in a high speed elevator. The view from the sky is impressive in how high it is above the clouds. The food is average and I would not want to eat it again. Despite the nice presentation some of it was not tasty; and no dish was amazing in flavor. They did however bring us free things four times throughout the meal $350 meal, so it is quite difficult to give this place less than a four stars all things considered. But I have to rate it on the taste of the food and not the view or the free stuff! A true rating would be a 3.5/5

I went with my friend and my meal was wonderful. I had the pasta which was surprisingly really good. 2nd course, Ribeye and Japanese squash was a very good pair. I enjoyed it a lot and dessert was decent nothing special . Overall I loved what I ordered but hers she said was ok. So I guess it can be a hit or mess here. Service I’ll give it a 1 for sure the hostesses were nothing short of terrible in particular. They seem to go out of their way to not be friendly or seem uncomfortable talking to us. Never seen that at a supposed classy restaurant. Waiters and waitresses were solid okay nothing great either. However the view is great and atmosphere was nice so I enjoyed myself overall. It’s worth trying once I would say.

Foods are average which we can accept, but our waitress the one with shorthair looks like a tomboy came with attitude. Service is below average. We didn’t get asked to keep our coat in the storage area properly. We kindly asked to keep our coat for our friends and she gave us attitude with the tone “ do we need to put anything else away so I don’t need to go again? Many more bad experience during our dining time. Lastly she rushed us with the cheque 3 times without us even requested just yet. Very bad night out with the girls. Terrible experience. We paid over $1000 plus tips and that’s what we got for the night.
