This place!! It’s just the best. Homemade ranch. The fried mushrooms and sourdough bacon cheeseburger is my go to. Big fans. They make it fresh, so you’re gonna wait. But it’s worth it!

Jim's is the kinda of place you want to eat a nice big burger at. 🍔🍔 The bacon avocado cheeseburger, or the patty melt are absolutely on point. A true classic American style mom and pop style food stop. Better prices than most of burger places in Long Beach and great service. 👍👍

I have gone by this place hundreds of times over the years and always wanted to try it. When I finally did, I was mad I hadn't gone sooner. Little mom and pop shop with ridiculously good burgers and the staff was very friendly. They accept card and Google Pay, for sure, which is cool to see an operation this small take contactless payment. Not all that expensive, but so worth it. I would put Jim's Burgers over any fast food burger joint I've had, including In-N-Out and What-a-Burger, which were my top two before having this and another local joint in Long Beach. They also have a drive-thru and a good-sized parking lot, considering the restaurant isn't that large. Support local business and go get some burgers here TODAY.

I always order the same thing. A hamburger special or chili cheese fries. I love to dip my fries in their delicious ranch dressing. Jim’s Burgers is one of my favorite burger spots in Long Beach.

I love this place. Super good burgers with shredded lettuce. The french fries are soooo good. It almost tastes like there is both salt and a sprinkle of sugar. Really good! Really nice people too!!!

Best food we had on Long Beach. I think I had the California wrap and my daughter had a burger. We both got fries but could have split one because they gave us so many. The wrap was delicious and the fries were hot fresh and well seasoned. I only give them a 3 star for service because of how long we waited. For 3 wraps, a burger and 3 fries we waited over 20 mins in the drive thru

The burrito was good. I had the California burrito and the bacon and egg burrito. Both were good but the California burrito was better. I believe they are open before taco masa. So if you want a breakfast burrito before 11:00 I believe this is the only place if you don't have a car and live in this neighborhood. I could be wrong. I would like them to open up earlier so when I want a burrito for breakfast I don't have to wait until 10:00.

Love the food here! It's great there is parking in the back, if full park on the street in front of the Jefferson school. Sometimes the food takes a while to come out but good food takes time to make. I recommend calling in the order ahead of time if you are in a rush. The food is great from the tuna sandwich to the breakfast burritos.

So im from Long Beach, it’s my hometown. And when I visited in April I tried so hard to look for this place. I used to go to the school across the street. lol like Luther Burbank elementary school. There seems to always be a burger joint in front of a school lol Well they never disappoint. Long Beach always has good burgers. Now when I visit I will always remember my childhood.

I love Jim’s! I eat here at least once a month. The food is always freshly made. I usually get the chicken salad with pita bread and an order of fries. The chicken is flavorful and moist, lettuce is always fresh and pita bread is soft and warm. My husband orders the carne asada tacos with onions, cilantro and salsa. The meat has lots of flavor and doesn’t taste like unseasoned beef! The people here are always super nice and the place is always clean. If you do get a chance to try Jim’s, make sure you get a large order of fries and a side of ranch! You won’t be disappointed!!!

Literally, no exaggeration, the best fries I've EVER had, without question, from any place. I love everything I've had here, but the fries are the star. Food isnt exactly cheap but 100% worth it. My favorite diner. Update: I moved a few months ago over an hour away, but the fries are so good that I find myself still driving far out of my way anytime I can for the fries

I've posted already, but still so good. I simply love this place. Last night I got a tuna melt and fries which were scrumptious. Daughter got corn dog and fries, of course I tried the corn dog. They do a really good job of giving you an overall experience. Getting your order out without waiting too long while showing you that they are cooking it fresh. Everyone is smiling. The food tastes great. I also got a strawberry smoothie and I love it there, I hate going to get a smoothie and it tastes like they didnt actually put any fruit in it (tasteless) or it's too thick or too watery. These are perfect everytime. I love this place and they have drive through as well, but we love eating there.

Seriously, you need to come here. Sooo good. Best burger joint in Long Beach, hands down. Quick and friendly service. Lots of fries and the burger's are delicious and pack so much flavor. Way better than any fast food joint out there and cost less too. These meals should cost a lot more than they do because they're that good. Personally, I love the bacon western burger. No one makes it better than they do. I live in San Pedro and whenever I'm in Long Beach, I head over to Jim's Burger's.

Newer Update: Indoor dining back. Food prices jumped up quite a bit this last year - like a lot of other places. Same food, still a fan, still eat here a bunch. Still great. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Excellent breakfast burritos, burgers, and custom French fry pile creations (chili, meat, cheese, etc). 2 for X$ beef tacos are a really tasty taco meat extravaganza throwback to 1980. Everything else I’ve gotten here has been good, including breakfast. It is inexpensive also. It’s a grill with an order counter and a dining area. Yes, eat here. And don’t forget to tip.

Love Love Love this place, food is always delicious and fresh. By far, it's one of the best french fries in Long Beach. It's just a hit or miss with customer service. Mid aged lady's come off a bit rude and charge you for ranch even if you ordered chicken strips! Lol, but it's all good in the neighborhood 😅

I have never been more surprised by a burger place than trying Jim’s. In town for a wedding and a friend and I were desperate for a burger while running endless errands so we stopped by. Our first bites and we were in heaven. It was literally all we could talk about the rest of the day, so much so it convinced everyone to let us get it for lunch the next day. Prices are great for the amount and quality that you get. The service was phenomenal, especially with the mass amount of food we asked of them in one order. I will literally be coming back to town just for this cheeseburger!

my friend took me to this place, and obviously it was my first time. my expectations were average, but when I came out it blew my mind. the burger was really tasty and the fries which were the kicker of the whole meal. very good, crispy and well seasoned fries. the place deserves more recognition. and I love and I will eventually try the other burgers from the menu, cause there’s so many to try.

I ate here for the first time last night. I got the Mango Habanero Chicken Sandwich and it was so good. Will definitely be back.

Freaking love this place. Whenever you get a combo they always give you so many 🍟 fries. The D.U.I. fries are different but so awesome and I highly recommend their burgers. They have yet to disappoint and they are always busy. Recently they have a sign posted their hours have changed because they are short staffed, but despite that they tend to get orders done pretty quickly. They have a drive thru and a walk up window. I prefer this spot to their counterpart down the road , prices aren't bad either. Come here and chow down!!!

Love the LBC fries and the beef teriyaki is really good as well. Staff was nice, but check your order before you leave because they forget to add the basics or the extras you may have requested, like straws, napkins or yellow chillis.

Fries were really good, onion rings were really greasy and VERY salty. Sourdough bacon burger was good, so was the pastrami melt. Drive-thru was slow.

Best club sandwich I ever had. Every item on it was so fresh. It is a good size sandwich too. And u get the choice as just the sandwich or a combo. Can't wait to go back a have another.

I pulled in because right on their front window was a deal for 2 Junior Cheeseburgers for $6, but when I went through the drive-thru she says they've never had an offer like that...? I ended up getting the 2 grilled chicken sandwiches for $7 and it was Fantastic!

Nice old-time look, super extensive (not expensive) menu. Had burgers and fries the first time, shrimp and fries the second time through. All good, no issues. They forgot one of my shrimp orders the second day, so no biggie, I came back around. Asked for an extra sauce for my trouble, and they wanted 33 cents. Hmmmm. Cost them a star today.

Great burgers fries and onion rings. I placed a phone order and somewhere in there they did not get the bacon for my avocado bacon burger with cheese. Burger was still tasty but a bit bummed. They used a seasoning on the fries that was a little sweet. Not my preference, just salt please. Outside of the minor issues tasty food.

Great selection of food here and they are pretty fast even during the lunch rush. Their club sandwich, pastrami burger, fries, and carne asada tacos are great! I didn't give them 5 stars because their drinks are a bit overpriced in my opinion. Also, when you order a combo the drink is a small. It should be at least a medium.

This place has been around for a long, loooong time. I hadn't been until only recently. I saw their myriad of "2 for" specials and was pretty surprised by the vast offerings. I've only had burgers there, but they've all been better than expected, honestly. Good food at very reasonable prices. Can't ask for much more than that!

My new burger spot in Long Beach. I've passed by this place for years and finally tried it a couple weeks ago. I've been exploring the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. My favorite is the chili fries and the best in Long Beach. Their chicken tenders are hand breaded, and prepared fresh, not frozen. And their French fries, they are very well. Their oil never tastes old either. The Jr Western Burger combo box that includes tenders and lots of fries and a drink. I couldn't even finish all the fries. The pastrami looks good, and I'm going to try it next.

If you live in the neighborhood you probably know about this place. The burgers are popular and they're tasty too. If you aren't looking for a burger, I recommend trying their sandwiches and salads. I recommend their Club Sandwich and their Greek Chicken Salad. The portions are big so you can split the meal with a friend. Their Mexican food is okay. They also serve breakfast but I haven't tried that yet. If you're in the neighborhood I recommend giving it a try.

First time there and we will go back again. The prices are fair with other affordable deals offered. Just had a burger meal & a jr western burger and completely satisfied. Which says a lot from us because we are particular about where we eat out.

I really like their burgers and they give a good amount of fries. They don't have Root beer, which is the only soda I drink. The only other problem I have with the establishment is the drive through speaker system. Its terrible. Especially when someone with a thick accent is talking through it. I always tell them to repeat my order once I get to the window. Its always something to adjust when they repeat it. Otherwise, a great place to get good food.

I used to love going to Jim's and would recommend it to everyone. These days I hardly go because they can't seem to get an order correct. Today I ordered a small fried zuchinni and a BBQ chicken wrap. I have had the wrap multiple times before and it always had BBQ sauce and ranch dressing on it. Today what I got was a Buffalo Chicken wrap and I don't like spicy food and I hate the taste of buffalo sauce so after 2 or 3 bites it got tossed out. That wrap was $11.00 and it just got flushed down the drain. From now on I will only go if I want the fried zuchinni and I recommend that everyone check their order before leaving.

Overpriced but food tastes decent. Fried mushrooms are my go to, and the bacon avocado cheeseburger is filling and tasty. Just these 2 items alone comes to about $20 tho, pretty high priced for a burger and side.

Large menu, prices are not bad. Burgers are charbroiled but the burger I had was on a not-fresh bun and patty was pretty thin. Taco I had was great... lots of ground beef and nice and greasy. But they seem to make orders one at a time so service is slow. Cook needs to learn how to multitask.

Food was just ok. Nothin special about it. A little over priced for the quality. Could've literally made better at home for less, but unfortunately ppl didn't know how to act at the opening for Marathon burger. So we gave thos spot a chance. Their chilli needs some flavor. I'm from Fresno California, and I don't see myself going to this spot again when visiting L.A.

The people were very nice there was nobody sitting in there. All the tables were empty. There were three that were the right size for our group of three and they were all dirty. We sat at the cleanest one. I intended to go to the famous gyms hamburger shops that are in the Long Beach area. I am mistakenly thought this was one of them. It is not. The onion rings were OK. They were definitely hot which I appreciate. The food was good not what I had hoped for. Next time I’ll do a better job and I’ll call ahead and find out if it’s the right place. But if you end up here by accident, it’ll be OK

They got some good burger specials here but $12 for a turkey melt combo is ridiculous for what you get. For that price the thing should be loaded...I was really disappointed. The only reason I would say to eat here is for the patio if you have dogs. Otherwise, there are plenty of other places that give you better quality and bang for the buck.

Jim's Burgers was a Great Place!!! The chili cheese fries are not the same!! I went over today and i was told they don't have that item! But I told the cashier that I been going over to the store since they were on Atlantic (fabulous) they're not the same the meat is different all the Way around! Too badd! Kiko what happened!!

How this place got more than 4 stars is a mystery. The burger was missing something... I think it was flavor, same with the fries. The best thing about the food is that it was hot. Their Sierra Mist was the best I ever had though.

Haven't been here in a couple years because I moved out of the area. I happened to be in the area so stopped to pick up to go. Ordered the tuna melt with avocado, which used to be the best in town. This time it was no Bueno. They stopped using the white albacore and instead are using the cheap fishy tasting tuna. They forgot to add the avocado as well. Although I will be back in the area from time to time, Jim's is crossed off my list of places to eat.

Wanted to try a new burger place, and Jim's is a mile from me. The burger and fries (especially the fries) were delicious. Seating area is rather small, but available. However, I did not realize the place was located near a middle school and halfway through my meal, the area was virtually swarmed with kids! Jim's literally put trash cans in front of the door, so they could only order at the window. The kids were excited of course, yelling, taunting each other, milling around, all in fun, I'm sure. But when I moved the trash cans to get out, I was actually a little afraid to walk to my car, there were SO many kids surrounding me. I AM a senior and it just felt a bit threatening, until I got out of the small parking lot. So, I DO recommend it for the food, but if you go at the wrong time (I was there around 1 - 1:30pm), beware. Lol. It can be an intimidating and uncomfortable environment. Likely won't return for that reason alone.

Extremely rude service. I wish I could do zero Stars. Does not accommodate handicap. I asked the young girl who took my order if they had tap. they said yes they had it. I gave her my phone so she can tap she came back said it wouldn't work I told her that it should I don't have problems elsewhere because she tried again she said she tried it two times and return my phone to me. When I looked at the screen I realized that she had triggered the lock screen which I told her and asked her if she could try it again she refused to do it. She insisted on either me coming in with my phone or using a card. I gave her my card. However, after having her rude exchange, I remembered that I had previously came to this place before and had the same experience except for I didn't have a card at the time. She refused to try running my card again saying that they got people in line and that they don't have time to waste trying to run my card. Since I explained to her that I was physically challenged and it was hard for me to mobily come into their place I asked if she could try running the phone again and she refused and was incredibly rude about it and refuse to talk to me walk away in fact. Also I don't know why people say the food is great when it's incredibly salty. Will not be coming back will not recommend it anybody ever mention it I will let them know what a bunch of jerks they are

This place used to be one of the go to burger spots. Last week however they completely changed their menu, got rid of all their specials/deals, reduced portion sizes, and upped their prices all at the same time. There are so many other local burger places that offer a better value. Unfortunately, Jim’s has lost its charm

Grew up dining at Jim’s Burgers and loving and enjoying the food that they would provide, the food was high quality and never disappointed. Unfortunately, this past visit I had ordered a Teriyaki platter. While eating the Teriyaki platter I had found a hair in the rice, I was mid chewing when I felt a long hair coming out of the rice, I right away spit it out and felt disgusted. I called and explained to them what had occurred and how I found the hair, the lady that answered was extremely nice and understanding and said no problem come tomorrow and we will refund you your money. I went the following day for the refund and when I was approached by a woman named Liz, she asked me “Did you bring the food back, you’re supposed to bring the food back.” I was in disbelief that she had asked me that question, how am I supposed to store my plater in my fridge that contained a hair and the food I had spit back? She was upset that I didn’t bring the food back and. Questioned me as if I would lie about this experience. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION is defined as a measurement that determines how happy customers are with a company's products, services, and capabilities. After this experience with LIZ, there was no representation of great customer service or customer satisfaction. I had then taken pictures to prove to her as how it was long and in the rice. Please work on training your employees on learning how to handle situations that may occur in the fast-food restaurant industry and explain how the customers are the personnel that helps keep establishments open.
