This is theist affordable Greek restaurant in Long Beach. They have the authentic gyro and yogurt. The owner works here and is super sweet and gives us the best order suggestions! Would definitely come back all the time.

I had been eating there several times and ordering to go so I checked if they had catering. Yes, they do have and it’s absolutely delectable. I ordered catering for a birthday party and all my guests were astonished. The food was appetizing, flavorful, simply delightful. The presentation was on top of my expectations, the serving size, the punctuality. Five stars to Nick the Greek and THANK YOU! We will continue counting on you for our get togethers.

Come to this amazing Greek restaurant with me!! Their food is amazing, especially their signature Greek desserts. Highlights of the menu: 1. Beef-teki with fries 2. Gyro salad 3. Bowl beef/lamb skewer with rice - topped with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cucumber & spicy yogurt 4. Green frozen yogurt with baklava - Greek phyllo, walnuts & honey syrup 5. Loukoumades - traditional Greek beignets, nuts & housemade syrup

Food was delicious! I love it here! The only issue is from a certain time to a certain time closer to closing they are only open for take out (not dine in) so you are not allowed to wait inside. Other than that the food is consistently delicious. Pic is from a time we had food inside comfortably!

If I could give more stars I would. Geanie and her husband are incredibly kind and provide incredible service. They were so welcoming. I'm visiting from Montana and the food is the best Greek food I've ever had. Stop in and say hi to the incredible owners! I got the Nick's fries with chicken Soulvaki! Definitely recommend trying it!

It was our first time eating here, and we were welcomed with excellent service/recommendations from Steve. We ordered the Beef-Lamb Pita and the Pork Belly Gyro Bowl at an affordable price. Great value. At the end, we were treated with the honey yogurt dessert. We'd come back alone just for Steve. Definitely will be a returning customer.

If I could have left 6 stars I would have. This place offers amazing food , great ambiance, and the best staff of all time. Jeanie, Steve, and crew go above and beyond for their patrons, plus the food is bomb.

This was my first time at Nick the Greek. Absolutely delicious! I got the steak bowl. Fresh veggies, tender steak. Also, the service was great. I will definitely be back!

Love the Gyro bowl with the chicken ( skewered). I play a lot of sports at the beach and I always struggle to find a good meal that doesn’t feel like garbage, and this fills me right up and doesn’t make me feel bad. Has the salad, and then the rice and chicken. It’s perfect!

The gyro I had was huge and delicious. The fries were seasoned well but could've been crispier. I'll definitely eat here again when I'm in Long Beach.

Service however needs improvement It took 10 minutes for the food to come out - I was patronizingly informed this is within the "normal" time frame. Seems a bit long for self proclaimed Street Food, but more importantly they should mention this when you order. I'd rather pay the 10% difference at the nearby sit-down Greek restaurant that brings food out within the same timeframe but doesn't come with this attitude

The bread was nice and fluffy. The falafels were dry like a Popeye’s biscuit. The French fries tasted like they had already been fried and reheated. The workers were nice and friendly so my 3 stars has nothing to do with the service, only the quality of the food. It was basically Greek fast food and you can only expect so much from fast food.

Overall the flavor was there. I ordered two steak gyro bowls and they both had about 4 pieces of steak in it. I also ordered the Nick fries and that had a lot more protein in it but was dry with not much sauce. The baklava was outstanding.

Food is over priced and pretty disappointing, atmosphere is kinda like an office or waiting room, food took long. Staff is friendly enough but mostly kinda just cold like you are inconveniencing them by your presence. Probably the worst lunch spot on 2nd.

I advised I would have been willing to pay if there was an option. He continued to be rude. My order was over $40 and couldn't spare olives and believes being rude is ok to a paying customer.

I called in for my mom to ask for extra olives on one of the sandwiches. we paid for olives and purchased 6 other items. Apparently the man on the phone was the owner and was rude to me. We’ve ordered several times and never had a problem till the owner wants to be the one answering phones to be rude to paying customers. next time make it an option on the site! Learn from your mistakes and be kind to people. If that’s too difficult for you, then you shouldn’t have a business working with people.

** update** received a note from the restaurant about refunding me and I responded accordingly. No response from them after that. Terrible restaurant!! The food was completely cold and the froyo was melted. The chicken screw was so thin and had NO flavor. $6 for that!!!??? Mega rip off!!! The chicken falafel tasted disgusting. The chicken was overcooked and dry (like eating very dry jerky) and the sauce made me gag. Tasted like pure mayonnaise, and it was soooo much. So gross! I would never never recommend this place. The absolute worst Greek food I've ever eaten. The photos speak for themselves.
