Friendly staff, fast turnaround time on food ordered from the kitchen. Chuy's always has a great atmosphere. I enjoy getting together with groups of friends or family here. Also interior design, is all about supporting local artists.
Amazing food. With plenty of Tex-Mex options, it still surprises me how well Chuy's stands out. It has been our favorite since we discovered it, and I'm so happy to have a new location here in Longview. Update2023: Just returned from a trip through New Mexico, Arizona, and California. This was our first stop when we got back to town. Absolutely still my favorite Mexican restaurant! Update2024: Added stars for good service.
This franchise has always been great in every city I have had the pleasure of visiting. With that being said the idea of one in East Texas was not just a bold move for the View but also very forward and trend setting. Surrounding cities need not sit back and watch but be so bold. Service from Jenni was by far the best in Longview. Good always amazing the building was done well. The wait time was to be expected but this is a location that is well maintained, well managed. Sorry good and company was so captivating a photo slipped my mind. 😂
So I'll be honest, my rating for the food overall is higher only because the friend I went with enjoyed hers quite a bit and the queso was some of the best I've had around here. My burrito, however, I was not a huge fan of. That being said, I could have easily ordered a different item and been more pleased, so I still really do recommend this location. The server we got (I feel really bad that I can't remember her name!) was super nice, super candid, and was really attentive. Atmosphere is pretty alright, too, not my vibe personally but it does what it does well! All in all, this Chuy's has my stamp of approval.
Our Server H. did a fantastic job!! She was very sweet and attentive to what we needed. Will definitely be asking for her again next time.
Great place for drinks and mexican food. Has a bar as well as outdoor seating. There was a wait but this place stays busy so we were prepared to wait. We had an awesome waiter that was very attentive during the busy dinner hours. Must try their queso! It was hot and delicious! Their salsa was fresh and had a great heat to it. Perfect chips for dipping too. I decided to This was my 3rd time here and i am glad i chose this spot for my birthday dinner!
This was my first time going here, the food was great, I had the chuychanga w/ Hatch Green Chili sauce. Spent a lot of time admiring the walls for the artwork, too!
It's Chuy's it's exactly what you expect from this chain. The food is great. The service is sometimes spotty and atmosphere is just Chuy's. If you haven't tried the hatch green chili salsa, you are missing out. This is one of the best salsas you will find anywhere!
We got there a few minutes after Opening (11am)..service was fast and friendly! Homemade salsa was super fresh and had a Serious Kick! I ordered the Tacos El Carbon (Steak)...plate size was Good...I left full and Satisfied! Will return for sure!
Was a great quick stop while running errands. Waitress was amazing. Got our food quickly and it was hot!!
The food is always fantastic. Their salsa is one of our favorites. The service is always excellent.
Jenny L was absolutely amazing. The food was incredible and she made it even better with her awesome customer service. She was very attentive and anytime we were even half down on our tea, she would come refill it. My family of 6 all ordered something different and everyone loved their food. Their chile relleno was incredible. It was the best I’ve ever had
This is always a great place to eat. I love the food and it's never just too over crowded. And even on the busy days, the waitresses so a great job of getting to you fast and keeping up with your drinks and checking in on you. It's a comfortable place to eat. The workers take the time to get to know you over time. And will remember what you like to order if you are a creature of habit like me, lol. Take your family there. Take your date there. Go alone. Just go. You won't regret it. I recognize the Fajita Setup. Or the Taco Salad. But no matter what you chose, your taste buds will thank you. And the prices are great.
It's was great on our last visit. The time before was a one star on service. Let's put it this way she took our order and bought our drinks to us .finally a waiter seen we were out no more chips and hot sauce he took it upon his own to make sure everything was good. Even brought our food to us. She showed back up to bring our check and was waiting on a tip . I gave the waiter that waited on us a great tip. But like I said this time it was great
Me and my boyfriend went here for dinner, our waitress was FABULOUS!!! I had the steak bowl he had beef enchiladas with the boom boom sauce both came out hot, fresh, and tasted amazing, you always get alot of food at Chuys, this was my first time at this location, will definitely be going back!!!!
Sydni is so awesome. Every location needs one of her. She is what customer service and satisfaction stands for.
Great food. Clean restaurant. Alexis was my server. She was on the ball and an excellent server. Fast, got the order correct, and checked on my needs frequently. Her smile was so genuine and happy!
I had first tried Chuys in Dayton, OH. When I heard we were getting one in Longview I could not wait to go eat there. My Mom, Mama, and I went and they did not disappoint. They were very impressed as well. I got the Vegetarian Enchiladas with the Deluxe Tomatillo sauce on top as shown in the picture. Service was great as well. Can’t wait to go back and eat there again!!!
Jessie, the manager was so sweet and she was so generous to our local womens ministry! We really appreciate her and her kindness!
Bar service was great. Fast delivery of food. The jalapeño creamy salsa is like crack, not that I have had crack but it's addicting so I've heard. Will return if back in this town.
It's a busy place, but we did go on a Saturday night. The food was hot and good. Our waitress was kind and considerate. She checked on us often but wasn't overly pushy. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the dog pictures on the walls.
Our favorite place to eat Mexican food! The service and the food is always fast getting to your table. The ingredients are fresh!!! I've never had a waitress who wasn't friendly and efficient! I highly recommend. :)
The food was great. Quesadillas were very good. The cheese enchiladas were also very good.
I’m a huge fan of Chuy’s, all the way back to 1982 in Austin! Sooooooo Excited, they opened a location here in Longview! The food is just how I expected “Tex-Mex” to be at this location too! My favorite are the Elvis Presley, memorial combo, and the Chuychanga, with of course, a large bowl of chips, queso, red and green sauce, and guacamole!!! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, so definitely do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner!
I could tell this was going to be a great experience as soon as I got to the door. I was greeted with a smile. Seated immediately and had a great server by the name of Hannah. She brought me fresh chips and salsa. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that they weren't greasy nor drenched in salt. They had just the right amount. The homemade salsa was delicious! I ordered the appetizer plate as a meal, thinking it would be a great way to try three different things. I assumed it would be a small plate, but I was pleasantly surprised by how huge it was. Everything was delicious! I ended up taking most of it home. When it was time to leave, I was greeted by everyone, telling me to come back and to have a great day. To be honest, I went in feeling like Bluey's Grumpy Granny and left feeling like I was walking on sunshine. Their smiles were so contagious!
Our waitress Mary was AWESOME, she handled our party of 9 and a full section with ease. Our glasses were always full, and any needs met. The food was good. I had the chicken fried chicken. The portion was not huge, but just about right, nice and spicy. Loved the chips as they salt them, which I like. The salsa, caso, and quack were all good. No one in the party had any complaints.
My sister and my young son Aiden came today for lunch. Not only was the food wonderful and great drinks but I wanted to brag on our server Micheal. This man went above and beyond for us. My son has autism and really struggles with communication and has trouble with food. Micheal really connected with my toddler and my son even tried a new food because of him. It means a lot to our family, I will always request for him when we come in the future.
Lily was great and super friendly. Wasn't bothered that we came in within an hour of closing. Food was great like we always remembered.
Service was fast and good is awesome be sure and get the spicy ranch is amazing big as yo face burrito is recommended
Chuys in Longview matched my experiences at the original in Austin. Excellent, friendly server that kept an eye on us and was always ready with refills and making certain things were to our liking. I had the steak burrito and it was huge and delicious . As we're the chicken quesadillas my granddaughter ate.
Our server Tori could not have been any better. Food was amazing as usual...even the frozen margaritas are remarkable. Longview Chuy's is one of our favorites.
Always quick friendly service! My wife and I eat here 1-2 times per month, we split the fajitas for one, its plenty of food for both of us! Had our company christmas party here this year and the manager and staff were super helpful getting tables and everything ready for us. Great job Chuys!!
We had an incredible experience at Chuy’s Mexican Restaurant thanks to Michelle. She was absolutely amazing — friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Her positive attitude and genuine care made our meal even more enjoyable. Michelle went above and beyond to provide exceptional service, and it truly showed. She definitely deserves recognition (and a raise!) for her outstanding work. We’ll definitely be back thanks to her!
first of all our bartender was AMAZING. her name is karyssa and she made the best drinks and they were strong. she made us have a wonderful experience for our first time. i’ve been wanting to try it for awhile now and im glad that we did. the food was amazing and the queso was to die for. the jolepeno cheese dip with the chips was so good too. we WILL be going back especially if karyssa is bartending! the walls were covered in pictures of peoples dogs and I LOVED seeing all the dogs as a dog mom myself.
Very clean! Atmosphere awesome! Service was great!! Ordered the Panchos it's Nachos with your choice of fajita chicken, fajita beef or seasoned ground beef & guacamole I also ordered the Tres Leches a generous slice of signature cake made with three milks, served with house-made crème fraiche, caramel & strawberries.
I joined some friends out to eat, this was my first time to eat at the Longview Chuy's. I ordered the Tex-Mex bowl I believe and the best part of it was its presentation. The food was very good and my bowl went back completely empty. I am a chips and salsa guy, anyone that has ever eaten with me anywhere chips and salsa is served can verify that I eat them before, during and after the meal. Most chain restaurants and even smaller local mom and pop Tex-Mex restaurants tend to have very mild Salsas that leave me "meh". This is not the case at Chuy's, I loved the salsa and it had a bit of heat. Overall pleased with dinner.
We had a small issue with our unsweet tea and water tasting like dirty sink water but our waitress was amazing and replaced our drinks. Comping our drinks would have been nice but everything else was great. We love Chuy's!
We had a family late lunchtime. There were 11 of us in all and they accommodated us easy enough. It was very very busy so we had about a 30 min wait. Considering how large our group was that was no problem. I personally cannot eat spicy food or red sauce. The caso while delicious and full of flavor was too much for me but everybody else loved it. All of us enjoyed our food and the waiter was phenomenal. The reason I gave 4 stars on food is because there was not enough non spice items on the menu for me but for normal people it's a 5 star.
The food was decent. You get 2 sauces, a green jalapeno and chunky tomato salsa, basically a bowl of tomatos but tastes good. Had the burrito bowl with chicken and steak and it was pretty good.
Pretty good I just don’t understand why you have to ask for things like a knife or napkins and why they don’t just bring them to the table when you sit down.
The atmosphere and service is excellent as always, but I am having more and more issues with the food. The most recent issues I've had are substitutions in the food when the run out of something and not mention it when ordering. Such as yesterday they were out of shredded chicken and did not have the time to make more for the day and put fajita chicken on the chicka chicka bomb boom which entirely changes the flavoring of it. Still it's a great place with awesome friendly staff in a unique environment, plus the queso is to die for.
Came here to see what all the fuss was about. The food was actually really good. The only thing was that everything was so spicy! Unfortunately, we aren't able to eat it no matter how much we try! I think we will come back again, but will have to steer clear of the sauces. I think the queso, creamy jalapeño, and salsa was what made everything so spicy. On a sweeter note, the Tres Leches was SOOOO GOOOOD!! Didn't think to take a pic until it was almost all gone.
I LOVE their creamy jalapeño dip and the whole vibe of the restaurant!! But if I'm being honest, the rest of their food is just OK. There are other Mexican restaurants in town with better food. Our service was great, the food came out quickly. There was a problem with my order, but they resolved it very fast and I was able to enjoy my meal. I would totally eat here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
Last week, I came here for the first time with my sister and niece. We were seated and served promptly. Atmosphere was neat and tidy, the service was great. I ordered fish tacos and it came with refried rice and beans. The fish tacos was the only thing I ate on my plate aside from the delicious creamy jalapeño sauce and chips that preceded the meal.
Love those Panchos nachos loaded with chicken and beef fajita! Glad to introduce family to this brand of TexMex food. They enjoyed the veggie enchiladas, rice and beans. We all ate more chips and their fresh red salsa than we will admit. 😉 Chuy’s is the keeper of many happy food memories! I hosted many happy hours — the combo frozen margaritas were my favorites.
I'm still upset about Red Robin going out of business, but we decided to try Chuy's. When rating Mexican food restaurants, the salsa and chips always play a big role. At Chuy's I liked the chips but I did not enjoy the salsa. It was just too bland and watery. It is more like Pico than salsa. Fortunately, the rest of the meal was very good. The enchiladas and the flautas and the taco and the refried beans were all really good. It's definitely not the best Mexican food I've had but pretty good and the presentation was really nice.
Service was very slow today during lunch. It took 30 minutes for our server to come back and take our order. Then, it also took 30ish minutes to get our food. One of our party was on her lunch hour, and we all had to pack our food to go since it took so long to order and get our food. Otherwise, everything was great!
I give a ⭐⭐⭐ because the salsa is amazing. The beans & rice were good but the beef & chicken enchiladas were dry and a little light on the filling. This was my first time eating at this location & I understand it's a new location. I will go back because I've had Chuy's at other locations and have had sensational food & service.
I'm writing to complain about a serious issue with our recent meal. Discovering a hair in our food was disgusting and completely unacceptable. Offering a $2 gift card for queso is an insult. I expect a more appropriate response to this health and safety violation.
The food was good, but there was nothing to write home about. Large portions of the sides (beans and rice), but the entré was on the skimpy side. The server was friendly and attentive. I think this store caters more to a younger crowd. It has more of a fast food atmosphere. We were hungry, and our needs were satisfied. :-)
Food was mediocre TexMex with little flavor. Chips and salsa were just ok. Queso was pretty decent. The smothered giant burrito was ok with the queso but the original chili con carne I ordered had a bitter tinge. The manager graciously had it remade. The service was excellent from top down. Prices were decent for 2024. My family liked it. Small kids menu but the cheeseburger was excellent according to my children.
So I’m a huge fan of Chuy’s. I love the Tyler location. Maybe because the Longview location is new and it’s not bad but the food does not taste the same as other locations. I got the fajita beef tacos and they taste a bit on the bland and bad side. Like they were going out of date bad. I had the same thing in Tyler location and it was very good. It just isn’t the same as other locations and I hope it gets better because Chuy’s is an awesome restaurant.
Food and service were very good, however, I do have 1 suggestion. If your staff needs to put 4 tables and 19 chairs together for a large party, and then they decide to take it apart and make 2 - 2 table sections, with the same 19 chairs, could they please pick the chairs up to move them, instead of pushing and dragging them across the floor, which makes a God awful sound, pretty close to nails on a chalkboard. The other tables around us were visibly annoyed with it as well.
I hadn't been to Chuy's before and decided to give it a shot. For me, the salsa is how I know if the food will be good. Unfortunately Chuy's doesn't really have salsa, they have finely diced pico. I ordered their cheese enchilada dish and I didn't care for the sauce it came with. Maybe one day I'll give it a second shot but for now I can say I'm not a fan. I rated 3 stars because our waitress was nice and attentive and the atmosphere has good vibes.
We've been there several times and each time we go it gets better and better
Ordered online for pick up. On website it says all online orders come with jalapeño ranch, hot sauce, and chips. So I didn't order any with my chicken fajitas. Just got home and there was none of that! I really wanted that green sauce for my fajitas
Food was ok just wish Longview had a Beto Authentic Mexican food or Ranchería Mexican Food or Yoshimoa Beef Bowl here also Sea Food here that serve Lobster King Legs and shrimp fried Rice. Too bad Red Lobster went out of business here.
Like a lot of places, the prices have gone up, and the food quality has gone. The service wasn't as good as it has been in the past, but they did comp part of our meal to make up for it.
Our waitress was ok, wasn't very sociable which isn't a problem, I'm not complaining about that. The problem was after our bill came. I had laid 15 with my card to pay for the meal and had $5 tip saved for her on the side. I understand I probably needed to explain that it was suppose to be a split payment, but she took the 15 as her tip without asking, just assumed it was hers and charged the whole thing to my card. Make sure you explain split payment when they grab the card/cash.
Chuy’s has changed and I didn’t realize it. We’ve eaten at a lot of Chuy’s and always look forward to getting an opportunity to eat at one. I thought it was just this one, but upon my research I see it’s across the board. They massively reduced the menu selection. There wasn’t a ton of people there and yet we had to wait for a table. Guessing staffing issues. Service was just fair. We had need fajitas for 2. Usually amazing but not this time. It was bland. Chuy’s, you need to get back to pre COVID life! Sadly not going back to any Chuy’s unless I see they’ve made improvements.
On today's menu... their signature Steak Burrito and Tacos. 3.5 at best. Starting with chips that were warm, light, and tasted really good to a sauce that truly made you drink due to the salt. The burrito came out looking great and hot. However, the texture of the steak was a huge letdown. The steak had good grilled flavor, and that's where it stopped satisfying you. The tacos did a better job with taste and quality. The atmosphere feels more Cracker Barrel not TexMex and the music was 60,70, and 80s. Enjoy, cheers
Look I love a Chuys I really do but what is up with the one bowl of salsa for two people. Look germs are real and I don’t like sharing. I’ll pay more for my own separate bowl if necessary. My food was good here but the service was AWFUL and it took FOREVER for our food to come out. It kind of ruined the experience for my daughter who had never ate at a Chuys before. I’ll try y’all again when y’all have been open longer and I hope my service is way better than it was this time.
Your entire front end staff needs to be retrained. They're completely disrespectful and could give a crap about their job.
It’s pretty apparent this is a new location. I’ve been to several Chuy’s locations in Texas, all of which have had much, much better service than this one. It seems like the staff are still trying to learn the menu, and I was told that something I have been able to get at every other Chuy’s location could not be done here. The food is mostly comparable to other locations with the exception of the tortillas which seemed to be lower quality. If you’re a Chuy’s fan, you may leave feeling disappointed. It may be better to give this location a few months before coming to visit.
Chuy’s in longview used to be my favorite place to eat. But after not going for a while, we went in two days ago. They are still hiring young host girls who are barely good for anything except wanting to stare at their phone. We got seated and sat for 6 minutes with no help from a server. I realize it may only be 6 minutes, but they were not very busy at all. And we had 2 different waiters walk by who paid us no attention. I am very impatient, especially when it comes to this type of situation. So we walked out. I’m not sure if we had a different server other than the two girls we saw help other tables right next to us… or if our server was back there playing on her phone. Either way, there is no reason anyone should not be helped within a few minutes of being sat at a table.
Food was great, service was kinda slow. I would have given a 5 star rating but since our waitress did what she didn't we weren't very happy!!! After we finished our meal up and I was paying for our meals and I informed our server I needed change back she said okay and walked off we waited for the change when she returned with my change. She returned to our table and told me her is your change ma'am I said thank you then my husband I was talking about the amount of tip we should leave like we always do then I went to count my change to realize our server took it upon herself to take out what she wanted to and only give me some of my change back. We were not pleased with that at all, why would you think it would be okay to take your tip out of there and think I wouldn't count my change? I hope the manager sees this and reaches out to me cause that was not appropriate at all no one should take upon their self to take what you want from someone's change and think your going to double dip on tipping. Shame on you I know times are tough but that was very rude.
Food was good other than the tea being completely crappy and weak. Wait staff needs better training. 3 people at our table couldn't get a refill for 30 minutes, even though the waitress was there 6 times and was asked for a refill twice. Didn't offer appetizers or green sauce with chips. Had to hound her for that. I don't really understand how you are an adult and not understand what good service looks like. Not sure why anyone would need training on that... Get the order correct and keep chips, sauce and drinks full and you'll make a lot of tip money, it's not hard.
This place has gone down hill like most do. Poor service, changing recipes, etc. Not once did our waitress check to see if what we got was any good or wanted anything else. The food is on the bland side now and the tortillas do not taste the same. No smiles, acting like they don't want to be there and showing they want tips. We will spend money somewhere else with better food and service.
Service was okay. Server was very friendly but kept forgetting things (refills, napkins, etc). Outdoor seating was nice. Queso was pretty yum. Food was...bland. Beans are nothing special, rice was really tomato heavy, and enchiladas were pretty bland. My partner also was not impressed with his buritto. Will not be back.
Alexis M. Even though our waitress was clearly not busy or tied up, we waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged and receive our drink order. She still managed to get them wrong. We did not receive a single refill in the hour that we were there (with our drinks that were wrong) and had to ask and flag her down to get help each time. Our waitress was clearly in an indifferent mood for some reason that we don’t understand, we were super nice to her and trying to make the best of the situation. Tip reflects service in case we forgot. Service here is usually great! So we hope her day gets better.
My Husband and I have been wanting to eat here for quite some time now. Our experience was not great. My meal (tacos el carbon) were tasty, but just barely warm. My Husband ordered the Elvis meal. His meal was totally cold. We could not get anyone's attention to fix this. We ordered the Grande margarita. It was not what we expected. A small water glass. Not a good experience at all.
Chuys in Longview, Texas is one of the worst places You will ever find in Longview they have very bad Service because we have asked our waitress multiple times for multiple things and she never got it for us after the third time we told her she finally got it and she’s very rude and demanding And never get the macaroni it’s disgusting and dry and the enchiladas were so disgusting
Chuys!! Wow! What a disappointment! Beef Tacos Al carbon were served COLD, vegetables were not cooked, and tortillas were soggy! We were served one small bowl of salsa on arrival and never refilled! Wait staff took our order and only returned to leave the ticket! 2⭐️for atmosphere was only for cold beer however no limes were delivered after asking for them twice! WE WILL NOT BE BACK! Terrible…
So, haven't been to this chuys before but my co workers and I decided to go have lunch. The co workers made it there before I did so when I walked up they were being fitted outside. I was like we decided to sit outside, that's when I was told no, the hostess sat us out here because of your service dog. I am very disappointed and unhappy that this establishment had the nerve to sit us out on the patio because I have a service dog. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful but I just don't believe I will be going back to that establishment since they sit ppl with service dogs outside as if we are trash
Salsa is actually Pico de gallo... sour cream sauce is not even close. Just a bad experience. Besides the beer was cold, that was a plus.
Food was okay, need more than 2-3 servers for a Friday afternoon. Server didn't bring all my food out at the same time, so the queso that came with the flautas was a waste as I only ordered it for this. Charged me extra for this. Then asked for a spoon. Came out with the check. Asked for double rice, received rice & beans. I just went with it. Had two pieces of rice. Really. Sad. Won't be back.
When we walked in there was 3 staff members gossiping up front, they then moved to the back and the hostess seated us. We sat there about 10 minutes before someone spoke to us and told us our waitress was making drinks, she came by with drinks for another table and said I will be right with you, she dropped that tables drinks off and walked right by us to the back again. So we left and went next door to slim chicken which was great service.
If u order to go, food comes out cold so be prepared to microwave at home, plus service is slow. Several cars got their orders before me although I arrived first.
*Update: My son wanted to eat here, so I reluctantly took him. We received a single creamy jalapeño to share, as usual. It had, what appeared to be, an eyelash floating on top. I showed the waitress and she barely took a look and I had to ask for a replacement sauce. I took a picture of the hair on a chip after fishing it out. Older reviews: Eating in, we were given one bowl of sauce with our chips. We asked for one more and 2 of the jalapeño ranch sauce. They said they could only do one. I'm not sharing sauce. Some people double dip and sharing one bowl per table is disgusting. The one bowl we got wasn't even half filled. The server was great. The last few times were horribly slow. Our pick up took almost an hour AFTER we checked in. We received cold food.
My husband and I ate here the other the night and the food was not good at all. The waitress catered to who she felt like catering to and wasn't very attentive. My husband ordered the Comida Deluxe got his food and dint get his queso that came with it tried to charge $2.00 for when it suppose to have came with the entree like the menu says. Everything on plate was good except for the rice and taco. The rice wasn't good at all not a so good taste and the meat on the taco taste artificial weird taste. I got the Chuychanga. with queso that they charged $2.00 for Papacitas doesn't even do that. Asked for ground beef but got steak that didn't taste like steak ones again not so good taste and the refried beans were scorched... Very unsatisfied and will not be going back... If you want Chuy's got to Tyler but the BEST one is in DALLAS hands down.. CHUY'S get it together before you lose more customers.
Went there with my coworkers. I understood that it was Tex-Amex. I would have did better going to Taco Bell. The waiter was great. Ordered a burrito & taco it was basic the burrito could have been better. This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I won’t return & I would recommend only if you like Tex Mex.
