My Epiphany Brought By a Crispy, Golden, Chicken Wing I went to Raising Cane's the other day. It was just a casual Tuesday when I was completely oblivious to the culinary enlightenment awaiting me. I was minding my own business, living in a dull world where fried chicken was merely a food, not a full-blown transcendental experience. And then, like a bolt from the celestial deep-fryer, my life was irrevocably altered. Stepping into Raising Cane's, the atmosphere was heavy with the aroma of hot oil and breaded promise. The staff didn't just say "Welcome!" They sang it out like a chorus of angels inviting me to the hallowed halls of the fried chicken Pantheon. I ordered the Caniac Combo, because go big or go home, right? There was an almost sacred silence as I received the tray heaped with golden treasures: six fried chicken fingers, a generous dollop of coleslaw, a cascade of crinkle-cut fries, and a slice of Texas toast. The presentation was not unlike the unveiling of the Holy Grail, only crunchy. As I bit into the first chicken finger, I felt a celestial chorus erupt in my mouth. The crust was perfectly crisp, with a texture like divine whispers, while the chicken itself was as succulent as a summer cloud. It was then I first noticed the divine beings gently descending on fried chicken wings, their halos as crispy as the tender delicacies they bore. The coleslaw, oh, the coleslaw. It was like a refreshing spring rain on a hot summer day. The fries were little golden miracles, each one a perfect balance of fluffy and crispy, a rare yin and yang that one can only hope to achieve in a potato-based product. But the true revelation was the Texas toast. It was nothing short of a butter-soaked epiphany. The crowning glory was the special sauce, a concoction so heavenly that I'm convinced it's the secret eighth sacrament. I considered taking a bath in it. If I had, I’m sure I would have emerged in the image of a new, fully-realized version of myself, one fully awakened to the fried delights of the universe. As I left, I cast a longing glance back at the counter. There, in that simple fast-food establishment, I had been transformed. From now on, my calendar would be divided into two epochs: B.C. (Before Canes) and A.C. (After Canes). Raising Cane's isn't just a fast-food restaurant. It's a spiritual guidebook with deep-fried chapters and saucy verses. It's a radiant temple where crispy chicken is the deity, and every bite is an act of ecstatic worship. So yes, you can say that my first visit to Raising Cane's was "good". But that would be like saying Mozart was "a decent musician" or the Mona Lisa is "a satisfactory sketch". My experience at Raising Cane's wasn't just good - it was life-alteringly divine. 10/10 would achieve enlightenment again. And also, can someone figure out how to bottle that sauce?

A line wrapped around the building and still took only 15 minutes. Quality was great, substitution was accurate, I'm thrilled this place is as good as any other Canes I've been to.

We’ve been here plenty of times. So we know what it normally tastes and smells like. I’m not sure if this is just really bad grease or some kind of chemical cleaner taste but it’s terrible. Management was great and had us come back and get more food but it still tastes and smells like either super old grease or chemical just not as strong as the first time. Had to just throw it all away again. Don’t know what’s going on, this is one of our go to places so I hope this isn’t the same next time we come through.

The atmosphere in there is fast paced and upbeat. Great place to bring family and friends. The service is amicable and the workers are friendly and their work in cooking and taking my order is expedient. Furthermore, I ordered the 4 piece box combo and there's not too much to shout for when it comes to chicken but it was fresh, warm and had quality. The Texas toast is one of my highlights in order at Raising Cane's Chicken because the bread is nicely cooked, moist and flavorful. In continuance, the fries were cooked correctly and seasoned well. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and will eat here again. Keep up the great work!

I thought canes was overrated till i tried it, and i ended up LOVING IT, especially the sauce, its now my comfort place for a midnight meal.

Normally the food here s good, today not so much. I took it back to the counter to return the fries because they were old. What I got back was a very small container of fries. Less than half of what comes in the basket. When I asked why it was so small I was informed that’s all I get. Okay, that’s all my business you get as well. I’ve been eating here several times a week. Sorry you couldn’t give me what I paid for today. Update: I was contacted by Raising Cane’s after my review and the issue has been resolved with satisfaction!! Thank you for your prompt, professional and immediate attention.

Out of all the places that serve chicken, I have never had any chicken as good as Canes. The Canes sauce is amazing and their tenders are not replicable. I also think having such a simple menu with limited options is brilliant. It makes for a quick order . I will always eat canes chicken

WOW these are the best than other chicken fast food places. It's much better than chick a fila that's for sure. The price is right, the place is neat. I wish they could advertise more so people can get to know this place better.

Even better than Chick-Fil-A! Finally tried them and wow. The best chicken there is. Fries are really good even if they come in second place. The Texas toast is surprisingly tasty, too. Not a ton of non-soda or non-sugary drink options.

NICOOOOOO DROPPING STRAIGHT DAGGERS!!!! Crust sticks like it should, cooked like it should be, frys are frrrreshu fresh and the workers on the board we’re absolutely KILLING IT!!! Lots of chatter hearable from the clean lobby! 110% was given by Julian and all of the crew here and when you spend as much as you have to now, the made it worth every penny! Well done!!! (Ps it’s local HS football night right across the street and this lobby is RIGHT!!)

My fiance ran in to get food to-go (with my 2 year old), it was quick even though the line was around the building (thank goodness, because 2 year old LOL) , and he said he had a good, fun interaction with staff while waiting! Food was great. He even mentioned how young most of the staff is, which makes it more impressive in my opinion. Thank you for the great service!

I can truly say I have never had any issues with eating at Canes. The staff are always pleasant the orders come out quickly and correct and very hot, overall one of the best restaurants on the area. Not many can accomplish all of those things. Keep up the great work guys!

Food was hot and lines moved pretty fast for the most part.. The chicken has been a little soggy lately and in need a little more seasoned flavor, I think the bread is better with BOTH sides toasted and NO condiments in the box on top of people FOOD!!!! the Cole slaw almost has NO flavor but ok when you're hungry. It was once better. I give a 4 because of good service.

Walking in my first initial thought was that it’s spacious. That it must be good if it’s this crowded. We ordered being our first time trying cane’s and waited our food at a nearby booth. We had our food before having time to grab our drinks. We sat in the corner booth and we anxiously awaited the delicious flavors we kept hearing about. The smell of spices linger the air whilst our mouths water for the taste of choice. Our order yelled out! We grab and go sit and savor all the spice and flavor and the sauce was saucing. Thank you for a delightful delectably delicious dining.

They were very busy but managed to get our meal out quickly, hot, and with all our sauces!

Went to get chicken for the crew at patterson nissan. Chicken was good and made when they said the order would be up. Thanks for lunch guys.

Only place with drive through that still stays open late. I think until 2am on weekends. Super consistent food. I like a little more seasoning or hot sauce on my chicken fingers but it always tastes like good quality chicken and is fresh with good flavor. Menu is pretty limited though. Not really anything but chicken fries TX toast and coleslaw in different variations. Also have really good sweet tea and lemonade. Staff is usually real friendly and fast even with long lines. Great place to eat. Also prices are pretty reasonable.

It was our first time as we don't have them in Oregon (yet?). The atmosphere was like sports with a splash of club vibes - most notably was the texas professional sports posters/memorabilia on the walls with the addition of disco balls on the ceiling. Everything was clean and well maintained. The food was good. The chicken was juicy and fresh. You can tell that they use chicken tenders and not overprocessed chicken. The fries were ok, nothing too special. The canes sauce was a nice addition too. Overall, a great experience and am glad we stopped. We had heard about how great it was from friends and so we knew we had to stop by while visiting texas.

This is an extremely popular restaurant here in my town. My daughter loves the three finger combo. All of the chicken and fries are always fresh. Of course, people come here for the sauce and it does not disappoint. It has a very unique flavor and goes well with the chicken. And I love the crinkle fries, and they are always fresh and crispy. They're fountain. Drinks are always really good with just the right amount of syrup and carbonation. It makes a difference when they use filtered, water and their drinks are always great. I highly recommend trying this chain. Every Raising Canes I've been to is always consistently great.

First impression are everything for me, I don’t often eat at new places so when I decided to go try canes I was met with hair in my Texas toast.. the only reason I am not giving a 1 star is because they replaced it but honestly I didn’t wanna eat my food after because that’s just digesting.. Update: they sent me a card to redeem a box combo & this time around it was better with the overall experience unbiased to the free meal, they were training someone while I was there but otherwise it was fast, easy & no hair! Thank god. Still 1 star less on my updates rating due to previous experience

Food was great and tasted fine. The pieces of chicken that we got were a bit on the small side, but still was a good meal. They were low on sweet tea. The above reasons were why I didn’t provide 5 stars, but overall I would recommend it to others. The staff was friendly too.

This drive thru has great food, tastes like homemade or better! The menu is limited to chicken fingers with trimmings of cole slaw, french fries & Texas toast & a house dipping sauce or chicken finger sandwich (both were great). We had a great experience except for one slight issue of music being so loud at the order counter, we both had to have the person repeat several times during order placement.

My husband and I had Raising Cane's and the food was delicious. The chicken strips are crunchy and juicy. Fries are crisp but could use some salt. The Texas toast is fluffy and light and has that buttery finish. The sweet tea could use some more sugar. Staff was friendly and the service was fast. Definitely will be going back.

Both my wife and I like Raising Canes better then the competitor. The chicken tenders are better, the sandwiches are better and the sauce is better, especially with a little hot sauce mixed in. When there is a choice, we choose Canes over the other chicken place!

Food is always on point!! Did not disappoint. Only issue was after requesting a Arnold Palmer, the cashier fixed my iced lemonade and handed me the cup to top it off with sweet tea from the public area. I recognized it wasn't sweet enough at all like it would normally be, so I dumped it out. I then looked in my cup before refilling and noticed a string of hair in my cup, that was NOT my hair, as well as the black tea pieces from the tea bag that was brewed. I used to freak out about things like that, but I THANK GOD FOR JESUS for leading me in another way to remain calm about the situation. Honestly, It's a fixable situation, which is why I choose not to trip about it. Won't hold it to anyone. It's just another lesson, for workers to be more careful and for customers to do the same and take precautions before consuming anything, no matter who's hands it's from.

The ordering experience was easy. The food was flavorful and filling. This was a good place to grab a quick meal for lunch. I like the idea of a restaurant doing one thing and doing it with excellence. Canes does chicken very well in my opinion. The “toast” needs to be more toasted on both sides but it was ok. The fries were really good fresh but they do not keep well past a couple hours.

Everything a table came open, there was someone cleaning and disinfecting. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is because the front counter order takers were not friendly at all. Borderline rude. Maybe it was a bad day?? But it wasn't just one employee, it was all three up front. But, worth the trip for the food....

A little disappointed 😥 the coleslaw was gross... It wasn't sweet enough almost had a taste of expired, the bread doesn't taste like garlic bread at all.. Ordered the 6 piece tenders. Only got 5 baby nuggets for $17 something. At that price people expect to get exactly what they pay for. I live 45 mins away and didn't realize until after getting home. Chicken ain't even got no flavor, the sauce is the bread winner at this joint.

Been coming to Cane's almost since it's inception. This has been the first time since after the covid pandemic that I've came back to Cane's. And it hurt. The reason I stopped coming back and the reason I'm not sure if or when I will come back is the price. Every combo is over priced by $4-$5 and just because it's good doesn't mean it's worth it. Hurts my heart to say.

I am aware of the inflation but goodness a 6piece chicken strip meal almost $20. Ordered the 6 piece Caniac meal with lemonade & extra sauce. Paid for the meal & looked at my receipt. I was not aware that if you ask for extra sauce they eliminate one of your sides without informing you. The coleslaw was taken off without my consent.

They had a bunch of high schoolers in there that they allowed to pretty much take over the restaurant. No one was making them bring their noise down to at least a small roar. 🫤

I liked the chicken but hated the restaurant. The counter crew spent more time gossiping and laughing with their friends than taking orders. The tabletops were filthy. I finally found one half clean. It's a teenager dive, not fit for adults. I never saw anyone who looked like they were managing or in charge. It was my first time at Cane's (which I told them) and she gave me a dumbfounded look when I asked what is recommended. I might eat from there again but it is unlikely I will eat at that location again.

Me and my husband went there today at 3:15 through the drive through and the girl taking payment was very rude to us. when my husband asked to upgrade his drink before we paid. She said we were charged for a medium size drink and couldn’t upgrade but we weren’t paid out yet. So he asked again and she just shut the window door, and proceeded to start talking to another girl. They were clearly talking about us bc we could tell by their body language. Then just opened again and rudely gave us the drink and bag without saying a single word. We love canes but this was a big No,No for us, it was very disappointing.

First time eating Cane's chicken. Chicken was okay, too much breading for my liking. Sauce is great. I wasn't able to see the full menu, because there was someone outside taking orders, so I had no idea they had a kid's menu, and ended up getting my grandson an adult meal, because the only menu I got to see before paying had only 4 items on it

This location is always iffy.. Sometimes you get someone who understands that a lot of hot sauce means at least a handful and sometimes you get someone who gives you 4 packets when you say 'extra' 7 times. Sometimes you get a decent amount of hot tasty food and sometimes you get unsalted, barely warm fries, with the tiniest little chicken fingers. The sweet tea is not up to any Texan's standard.

It's good when it's fresh but the drink cups and lids are no bueno, they continuously leak and make a big mess especially if you want to take your drink with you

Change your nasty stinking oil - walked in last night …. Should have walked right out when smelt burned fryer oil. Order 6 boxes. Over 60$ worth and no one wanted to eat it cause said tasted like nasty burnt oil. Service was good as busy as y’all were but have to do better on quality control. Y’all had to have known it was time to change the oil when stunk that bad

The chicken was covered in grease. So it wasn't crispy the batter was oozing off. The fries were cold and mushy. I love me some cane's. I think it was just a bad day.

The food is delicious, the people are polite. I would give 5 stars if it weren't for the Styrofoam to-go boxes. They are absolutely horrible for eating in your vehicle. It slips, it isn't wide enough to go across your lap, it's so slick that it will not sit still or flat. Please PLEASE DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!!

Why is this location so inconsistent?! Sometimes the food is hot and fresh and other times you get old soggy fries and undercooked chicken. We love canes, but can’t keep paying these prices for hit and miss quality. Today my fries tasted like they were 2 days old and the size of the chicken strips were more like chicken nuggets. Really disappointed.

Restaurant was filthy, and the service wasn’t good at all. The food was fantastic, so the cooks are the stars of the show. The parking lot was the worst, and it was a nightmare leaving, as the cars in the drive thru were blocking us from backing up. Overall not a good experience, and I won’t ever be back. There’s a competitor next door with a clean restaurant, exceptional service, and great stress-free parking.

Their chicken is flavorless, and the fries have no seasoning or salt. Like some sort of adult happy meal for those picky grown children.

Don't waste your time or money here. Jagger's tenders are 1000 times better. Place was very busy. Waited 35 minutes in the drive-thru. My tenders were barely bigger than a chicken nugget and were room temperature. I just moved back to Texas from Wisconsin and was looking forward to Raising Cane's. It sure isn't like it used to be. I won't be spending my money here again

I’ve never had a problem eating here. Last night I got a 4 pc meal and shared it with my spouse. Soon after I’m in agony pain and can’t move from stomach pain and he’s throwing up. Idk what happened but it needs to be investigated. I love raising canes that’s why I’m baffled and came to warn the company and others.

Not as good as some of the others I have visited. I ask for extra crispy chicken and I never get that. Chicken is too soft, sometime need to be cooked a little more. I understand that want to be known for fast service, but if the food don't match, then being fast does not matter.

I got the combo for me and my buddy tonight the line was ridiculous I got there at 10:45 p.m. and that line moved only inch by inch,not only just to get our food at 11:10 p.m. I literally asked for sweet tea the tea is just plain nasty there's no sugar so the idea of world famous is a load of bull! I was missing a chicken strip from my order and I got half the amount of fries I normally get from any raising canes location. After going back to the missing chicken strips now all of my food is cold. Should have just gotten slims at least when the mess up they make sure you still get fresh food for dinner. Not making this mistake again.

Waited in line for a good 15 mins. When we got to the front, but told us hes not taking any more orders for the day. (It was 3pm) we went to golden chick instead.

we ordered a 3 piece combo and it only came with two pieces of CHICKEN. On both of our meals, and this has happened before.

Ordered at 4:30pm and pick up time was at 4:50. Did not receive our curbside order until 6:21pm. This is the worst customer service experience I ever had, called multiple times and no one could tell me why it was taking so long. I am appalled at the careless attitudes from the employees and management. I will never recommend my employees or friends to ever eat here again. Shame

This is a 3 piece!? More like a kids meal! The bread is the biggest on the plate. I could basically put all of this in one hand.

I order via Uber Eats and the restaurant does not care about hygiene, the fountain drink was opened from the lid without covered tape!!!!

I had a really bad experience at Canes, It started out with my fries being cold, I asked for fresh ones and was told to give them the fries and they would make new ones, Ha, they throwed them right back in the fryer and they were greasy soggy hot fries now. I wanted some more sauce so, I walked up and asked for one more and they said I would have to pay. I asked the person, you did not charge the girl in front of me, and they said there were their friends. I almost went ballistic. Bottom line never will eat at any Cane's again. Honestly, KFC or Chicken Express is better and less expensive and better service.

When the variation of your menu is limited to “how many go in the box”, I don’t feel like expecting this to be correct is a big ask. Unfortunately, this has not been the case in our last two visits. When it costs $60 to feed four people, and all you need to do is count, I feel like getting it right would be a base line expectation.

The orders are usually backed up if you go around mealtimes and customer service is as bland as the fries. The only thing they have going for them (especially since their portions went down and prices went up) is Canes sauce. If I were you, I’d buzz on over to any of the other chicken-based chains for better quantity/quality. *Caniac combo pictured below.
