We especially liked the butter chicken with baked crust, the not-pasta lasagna, mixed veggies, and paratha. On another visit we had butter chicken, pot pie, salmon, cauliflower, vada pav. We were impressed again! This is the only Indian restaurant that my foodie wife is happy with so far.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious! The spinach & paneer lasagna (with garlic naan) and chocolate rasmalai were my favorites, though everything was extremely good.

Amazing anniversary meal with my entire family!! We come here often as a couple as well as with full family. The food is fantastic - they offer both classics and fusion. The flavors are complex and perfect. Fusion can sometimes miss the make but I have always enjoyed Indian fusion her. The staff and ambiance is lovely. Keep up the great work!

Previously only had takeout from this restaurant, but very glad we tried it in-person. Food and service were excellent at lunch. They have a $30 three course lunch special that was a good deal. They were friendly with our dog and had a water bowl on the patio.

absolutely loved the food here, it was delicious. you cannot skip this place. for starters, we got the pesto paneer and the dahi kebab. the latter was absolutely flavorful and super crispy. we also got the maggi appetizer which was interesting. for the mains we got the "i'm not pasta," the dish that apparently beat bobby flay. unique take on palak paneer but still really flavorful - you know it was just crafted well. we also got the "revive" which seemed like a regular paneer curry but still tasted great. we also got a garlic naan, mushroom naan, and lacchha paratha - can't go wrong with any you pick. For desert i wish we got to try all of them, however we ended up going for the toffee pudding and the gulab jamun tiramisu. I liked the gulab jamun tiramisu a lot. I think the toffee pudding would have been better if served with a scoop of ice cream or something. Service was great as well, the chef came out to speak with us and shared his stories and it was a great time overall. will definitely be back to try the other dishes.

I visited Aurum last week for lunch for the first time. This hidden gem is quite a place for those who love Indian food, and I must say that I am very impressed. I ordered from the 3 course lunch menu. The portions were just right and did not felt overwhelming and so was the price. Visually, the food looked amazing and it tasted wonderful. the spices were added just right and did not overpowered the inherent taste of main ingredients. The dessets too had just the right sweetness. I highly recommend this place and I will be visiting it soon again as well.

The cuisine is super distinctive. The taste and flavor is unmistakably Indian food. But they have presented in a way that is anything but. The cocktails have unique flavor with familiar ingredients. I had the mango drink, which had quite a kick with the jalapeño flavor. The staff is super attentive without making their presence felt. The food and the ambience did most of the talking. Set in the quaint Los Altos neighborhood, this is set in a very walkable downtown with pleasant, resort-ish selection of shops. Grab a bite with friends/family and walk around to burn it off.

We visited Aurum on a Friday afternoon and we fell in love with the food and the ambiance! I am not sure why the rating is 4.2/5 as of writing this review. I am surprised reading reviews and seeing people bash this place. What we ordered? We ordered two Office Lunches comprising of the following items: 1. Appetizers: Gilroy - Chicken Kebab & Kasoori - Methi Paneer 2. Entree: Ivas - Apricot Kofta & Two Good - Mushroom Butter Chicken 3. Dessert - Heaven Can Wait - Toffee Pudding & Out of Way - Tapioca Kheer Feedback on each of these: Appetizers were delicious, you can see from the pictures that the presentation is top-notch. I can attest that the appetizers were really good and cooked to perfection. Apricot Kofta with Crispy Peas was to die for, we've never tasted any kofta gravy like this before. It was very well balanced and the kofta's killed it. Moving on to Butter Chicken, the chicken was nicely done and the gravy was good. I've tasted better gravy before but the one thing that surprised me was the hint of tamarind in the gravy. I was missing the tanginess that is usually brought about by a healthy sum of tomatoes used in the gravy. Nothing wrong with it, simply stating my experience and opinion. Desserts surprised us, I was expecting the Toffee Pudding to knock it out of the park and it kinda did but the undisputed king was the Tapioca Kheer. The amount of pistachios in it was marvelous and I have no other words to describe it. Service: We liked the service, it was snappy and they were observing us to make sure we don't sit idle, without food for too long. Since it was a three course meal, they did it properly with each course arriving on time and made us wanting more. Ambiance: It is an intimate setup, atleast that's what I feel. It was a quiet Friday afternoon, we could talk to each other without the usual noise that surrounds one at such restaurants. It's nothing crazy like Eaton or Rooh but that's what separates Aurum from them! Each place has its own vibe and story, comparing them with others just kills it. All in all, full 5 on 5 from me.

Back before the pandemic, my wife and I frequently went to a restaurant in SF called August 1 Five. They served bold and innovative takes on Indian food—classic flavors, modern dishes, perfectly executed. We were devastated when the pandemic drove them out of business. Imagine my delight when I discovered that August 1 Five’s chef had a new restaurant, Aurum. We’d moved away from the Bay Area, but the first time I came back to visit I knew I had to go. Aurum did not disappoint. It’s the same combination of classic and creative that made A1Five so magical. I had the pesto paneer, the mutter paneer, and the mushroom naan. Every dish was phenomenal. The pesto paneer was perfectly seasoned with just a hint of smoky char. The naan was boldly mushroom-forward but not overpowering. The mutter paneer was the platonic ideal of mutter paneer. In short: Don’t sleep on Aurum. It’s worth going out of your way for a meal.

We had the most amazing dinner experience at Aurum! We came in close to closing but the service was still so kind, and let us take our time with order in. The food was absolutely incredible, and each dish was very flavorful. My favorite was the l'm Not Pasta Palak Paneer Lasagna which was very unique, and the koftas were excellent as well. The Mr. Potato was also good too, but the other two mains were even better in my opinion. Lastly, the naan was SO soft and fluffy and the goat cheese filling was so tasty. Would highly recommend this spot!

Please make sure you have a reservation if going during dinner hours . It has limited seating , and wait times can be long . The food - the quality is unmatched . Each of the dishes offer fresh perspectives of the original without compromising taste or flavor. Highly recommend the appetizers & desserts here You can customize the dishes to your spice levels too . Vegetarian dishes are also reimagined and very popular

The food is next level, great presentation and even better taste. If you like desserts, you have to try the Heaven Can Wait and the chocolate rasmalai. Both were super tasty and hit the spot. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Came here for my birthday dinner and had a great time! We had multiple tapas, entrees, and desserts. Everything was delicious. Favorites included the pepper shrimp, lamb kebab, garlic saag, and fish curry. The truffle as well as the goat cheese naan were incredible. Our waiter Rahul was very attentive and personable. Will definitely be coming back!

Delicious meal with a friendly and courteous service. Great vibe on a Tuesday evening. Restaurant was packed. Between the two of us we tried a variety of items and really enjoyed the bold flavors and interesting preparations. Interesting low octane cocktails as well. We will definitely be back to try more. Highly recommend

Their jackfruit kofta was absolutely delicious, one of the servers recommended it and it did not disappoint at all! The food overall was great. I specifically went hoping to try their ghevar, which they previously had on their dessert menu. I’d love to see it make a comeback, it was a true delicacy. A small piece of feedback - the atmosphere felt a bit so-so. The dining experience could be even better if the space felt a bit more exclusive or refined to match the quality of the food. Overall, still a wonderful place with amazing flavors, and I’d happily visit again!

If you are from Odisha, run to this place for Jhal Mudi!!!! Crispy, mustard oily and so so good, I loved it. Also got a couple of naan/roti, butter chicken, chicken biryani and railway style mutton. The butter chicken was okay but the mutton was great - devoured that!!!

Overall a pleasant evening with good food. While the service was good it seemed like something was missing … the vibe felt kinda empty. The best dishes were the eggplant and Paneer rarah but the kofta was dense and lumpy and more on the sweet side. Let’s say it was not a balanced taste. The Dhabha style chicken was average. Didn’t do anything to the taste buds. The Amritsari fish fingers were decent. Avoid the Ghever sweet. Kulfi was interesting. I guess, for me, once is enough. May not visit again. But give this place a shot, at least once.

Came here for the team lunch. It is pretty empty in the weekday noon. We are the only customers here. So the service is pretty good. Mango prawn is my favorite. Lamb chops are really good too! My teammate also likes the chicken Biryani. And the butter chicken looks very authentic. However, the lobster dish is expensive($50) and small. We went over the budget in the end.

This is not at all Indian , its not indian american fusion, its not american, its not tasty, i dont know what kind of food was served to us on Valentine's day. I should mention we ordered everything vegetarian, so there's that. Such mish-mushy tastes, missing Indian spices or Indian cooking, it was just amazingly good looking food only paralleled with its price. Fine dining Vegetarian high end (especially Michelin rated) Indian restaurants should be avoided by Indian foodies. Please, lets stick to our traditional dhabas and food trucks, your Valentine won't mind after eating delicious food. You can later go to a fancy place a do a photo shoot to makeup for the aura and atmos.
