Walk in and enjoy some great coffee/espresso that is Roasted in-house with outrageously good bagels. They do have a variety of other pastries but their Saint- Raf bagels are exceptional and sell out quick.
I tend to trust a cafe has a pour-over coffee menu or roast beans by itself. 1802 Roasters has both of them and it has a lot of bakery options as well. Its parking lot was not crowded and there were enough sitting areas inside as well. Absolutely the taste of the pour-over coffee was great!
Good morning everybody happy Sunday. First time going 1802 Roasters … small coffee shop in Cypress Park. There’s pastrami bagel really good fresh bagel, fresh pastrami. It was made perfect definitely going to go back again. My son gives it a big thumbs up. 👍 and their coffee is really good and their customer service is really good.
Best bagel in LA! I got the salt and pepper bagel with cream cheese, and it was incredible! Also got the rose syrup Matcha latte. My friend got an everything bagel and an onion bagel and they were perfection. Beautiful interior, wonderful customer service, and a great little outdoor seating area and parking lot!
Such a cute spot. Third wave coffee with a few fun extras like the Island Espresso Tonic. Great beans and all fairly priced single origin coffee. If you're lucky Tagalog takeover out back making some delicious food. Outdoor space and parking :)
Going to 1802 for pour overs has become our favorite weekend routine. The coffee is delicious, the pastries are tasty and the service is stellar. I was so excited when I found out they were coming to the neighborhood and we’re so glad they are here! 1802 is even better now with espresso drinks now that the shop has opened. We’ve also made friends in the community.
Fantastic Coffee choices, fresh baked goods, quiches and a friendly professional staff..!! Tons of parking or drive through if you wish. Great destination or option if Highland Park or Eagle Rock is too packed..
What a gem!! Service was fantastic, plenty of parking, WiFi available for working, and the bagel sandwich lemme tell you - BOMB. I got the chicken salad on onion 👌 didn’t expect much but the flavor was amazing, crispy onion bits added crunch, the cucumbers added freshness. I was surprised and will def be back. They make their bagels fresh in the mornings so we got it nice and hot. Would love to maybe see a japapeño cheddar bagel one day? 🙊 hint hint, nudge nudge. But that’s just me 😂 Highly recommend! It does get kinda warm in here tho and not the most outlets.
Same shop as Saint-raf bagels. The bagels and cream cheese are good.
Coffee + bagels = Best coffee shop ever! It was a great experience. They make their begs in house. The coffee was fantastic! 1802 had enough room for sitting and outlets. Great place to work, study, and chill. For the all the Filipinos out there! 1802 is also Filipino own. Support your local bayan.
The salmon on a sesame bagel was perfection! Coffee was also delicious.
Local roaster with fantastic pastries, juices, and food items such as biscuits, sandwiches, and salads! Beautiful space with parking, lots of outdoor seating, and gorgeous interiors.
Island Tonic drink was good. The espresso was stronger /more bitter than my normal Starbucks drink, but the citrus syrup & coconut milk balanced it out. I will visit again.

I've been there twice and interacted with 4 different people, everyone was helpful and friendly. I've gotten almond milk lattes and a toasted bagel with vegan cream cheese, lattes were excellent and the bagel was the best I've had in years. Update: I've been back at least a dozen more times (about once a week) and it's consistently been great, coffee is exceptional and service is awesome. The last time I was in it was very busy which was a first for me and still they took the time and effort to give good service and coffee was as great as ever
If you’re serious about coffee—and I mean serious, like you’ve ever debated brew ratios at a dinner party—then the code roasted by 1802 Roasters is something you need in your rotation. Maybe even on your altar. The “Code” roast is one of those rare coffees that makes you pause mid-sip and reevaluate your taste buds. It’s not just good—it’s dialed. Roasted with precision, clearly by someone who has studied the bean like a language, the Code is smooth, deep, and balanced without falling into any of the traps that make specialty coffee sometimes feel… exhausting. No overwhelming acidity, no overbearing fruit bomb nonsense. Just this elegant, grounded expression of craft. What sets it apart is the clarity—each flavor note in the cup is present without fighting for your attention. There’s a warm, nutty backbone that gives way to subtle cocoa and maybe even a hint of dried fig or pipe tobacco, depending on your brew method. Whether you’re pulling espresso or doing pour-over, it holds up and even evolves. Equally impressive is that the Code doesn’t lose its soul with milk. It plays beautifully with oat, whole, or whatever alt-latte situation you’re into. That alone earns it a spot on any discerning coffee person’s shelf. 1802 Roasters isn’t mass-producing a vibe—they’re crafting a code (pun intended) for what modern coffee should be: intentional, clean, and built to last beyond trends. The bag itself looks like it belongs in a Scandinavian design shop, but it’s what’s inside that matters. In short, the Code roast is a love letter to people who care about coffee—without ever being pretentious about it. Just smart, soulful roasting done right.
Good cafe. Tasty fresh bagels. Had a hot mocha and cappuccino. Both were great. Limited indoor seating. Free parking available.

The bacon egg and cheese bagel on everything was great but the whitefish salad bagel tasted like canned sardines or anchovy which isn't really my thing. Overall really solid spot and would definitely go back for their fresh baked bagels and delicious coffee.

I want to give this place higher rating. I feel like the consistency isn’t there yet. The bagels are phenomenal, but I feel like if you’re ordering a bagel sandwich, the cheese should be melted and it should be hot. I’ve gotten a bagel sandwich before here and they gave it to me with melted cheese, and it was hot. However, I just came in this morning and they gave me a sandwich that was lukewarm. I don’t know if my tip was low if you’re going to a restaurant and ordering hot food, you expect the food to be hot. I’m gonna put my review that said I do like this place. The bagels are phenomenal. They just need to be more consistent with their service and get better service to their customers because we’re not gonna come back if sometimes the sandwiches are hot and sometimes they are not. I’m saying $15 for a bagel sandwich I want it to be HOT. I’ve put two pictures one is when they made my bagel hot and the other one is when I ordered it this morning and it was not hot and cheese was not melted.

Came here for the first time since I always pass by there. I walked in and there was a woman cleaning a table she looked at me and did not say a word. Meanwhile there was only one person in there. To me a hello or welcome would have been nice. I definitely felt the vibe I was not welcome. I ordered anyway and my food was put to go when I actually wanted it for there. The cup was hot and no sleeve was offered. I tried a bit of the bagel and I did not like it. I tossed it in the trash. Definitely won’t be going back there. Customer service is a huge part of your business.
I got the 1802 iced coffee with chocolate. It was thin sour and boring. 3 bagels at $2.50 a piece. That’s more expensive than Maury’s and Belle’s (not as good either). However, I wouldn’t have left a review for that. This review is on account of the $2.00 they charged for the whipped cream cheese. It wasn’t enough to spread on even one bagel.

See photo. I no longer patronize 1802. In my photo you can see the OPEN FACED egg salad I’m having at MAURY’S BAGELS and it is delicious. I also got a nice iced matcha that’s also delicious. Sorry 1802 but the only thing good about your place are the bagels and even then you tend to run out quickly so little variety but they are good. Your coffee beverages aren’t so great but I did enjoy the espresso but there isn’t much to it maybe three swallows worth. I will acknowledge that a couple of the servers were nice but the manager in particular isn’t very. Telling me that they sometimes make the exception to make the egg salad open-faced for certain people. I guess I am not a certain people. I think she meant the customers with pink and blue hair or their frou frou dogs.

Purchased a $287 coffee here, took a quick walk to library with my coffee came back and manager towed my car within an hour of being parked in their totally unmarked lot. My coffee was still hot when I get back and my car was gone… At least put up some signs in the lot or leave a note on the car for next time?? Owners ignored my email. Feel the business should pay for it.
