We had the march special Hungarian dinner ( weds n Thursdays only in march). Everything was delicious- ghoulish, pork with saurkraut, cheesy potato casserole, fritters all yum. Come try the special dinners, or breakfast and lunch almost the time. Soooo good - empty plates all around. Four of us shared everything .
I enjoyed the Turkish Eggs and drip coffee (both superb!)for breakfast around 9am on a Saturday. Staff were attentive but not hovering. I got some work done on my laptop but eventually had to leave because the music was too good (80s) and I couldn't focus on my work because I kept singing the tunes to myself. Would definitely recommend.
Super cute brunch spot in Glassell Park! The salmon and eggs were mind-blowing and the shortbread tart.. a spiritual experience. I discovered this hidden gem yesterday and the cherry on the lemon poppy cake by far is the staff, 10 stars!! They were lovely, and lovely fits the ambiance here 1000%. Brunch in the Glendale area has to be done here, you’ll get a handful of yummy breakfast options plus teas and coffees, can’t go wrong. Go!!!!
I went there for the first time, and it’s such a cute place with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They’re dog-friendly (there were so many adorable dogs there!), so if you like to bring your furry friend along for Sunday brunch, this is the spot. It’s also kid-friendly. The waitress was nice, and I ordered a breakfast burrito — it was very tasty. .
Comfortable, relaxed cafe. The dish I had was very tasty.
Went to brunch for my birthday and had a wonderful time. Mitch was our server and he was awesome! The food was delicious too :) Parking is a bit tight, but that was my only complaint.
Only tried the strawberry matcha. It was the right amount of sweet and the coconut milk foam was very good
If I could put more than 5 stars, I would! Admittedly, I wanted to go somewhere else and was wary of the intricate menu with specialty food items that weren’t basic breakfast foods. However, fear not! The french toast is incredible, filling, and delicious. Truly one of the best french toasts I’ve ever had. I got full off of 1 slice, some of the chicken sausage and most of the scrambled eggs. I walked away with another meal that I cannot wait to eat! The mascarpone whip was also very delicious, I got it on the side just so I could eat however much I wanted without it being everywhere. The chicken sausage is great, seasoned well, and juicy. Eggs were nice and fluffy. As for service, we were seated quickly and the food came out quick as well. It was also easy to make substitutes. The patio space is beautiful and I recommend sitting there if there’s space/weather permits. My mom got the biscuit sandwich and she loved it. Ate every bite happily! My sister got the basic and also loved it. Would definitely recommend this place!! I hope to come back soon.
I have accidentally found the greatest toast in all of America. I was here to meet some friends for an event and thought I’d pop in for a quick bite. I ordered the avocado toast thinking it would be an unremarkable snack. Have you ever experienced something so above and beyond expectation you wonder if you’re on a hidden camera show? This toast is that good. Toppings were fresh, seasoning was on point, and the toast was perfectly soft but toasty. Also ordered the Michelle Wi which lemonade and black tea. Great atmosphere, really friendly staff, nice patio and neighborhood parking nearby. Would it be rude if I ordered another toast? Actually considering it.
We love this place! The food is great. The service is impeccable and they even bring your dog 🐶 a water bowl so they can drink. I 100% recommend their biscuit with their house jam.
first time eating here everything was amazing. Food service was amazing. The food is amazing. I’m glad that I live close by to this awesome coffee shop definitely coming back. Good job guys. Keep up the good work. !!!!!!!!!!
I got the cauliflower gluten free dish, and my bf got some other egg dish. We absolutely loved the food, I think my plate was a little tastier. But the food was healthy and delicious and the place is adorable, the owners were very nice and the restaurant felt very quaint. Would happily return next time in in echo park :)

One of my favorite brunch spots in all of LA. The biscuits are absolutely delicious, fluffy, doughy and crumble just the right way. Everything here is top notch, and its been like this for the last five years.
I found this spot on google by typing “brunch near me”. I liked the look and food and decided to share with a friend for the final decision.. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! From the time we walked in, to the time I left, I was pleased. Our server “T” or “Tee” was amazing, she was knowledgeable about the selections as well as coffee choice items. I ordered the lentil soup which was FANTASTIC!!! THE BEST LENTIL SOUP IVE EVER HAD! Cheers and compliments to Chef Gabriel who came out and greeted us as well! Thank you for making today such an enjoyable experience.. 10 out of 10 for MEEEE

An interesting menu, well prepared, with very nice and informed staff. We like sitting outside on the pleasant patio - hard to tell you're in a little shopping area.

Lemon Poppy Kitchen is a rare gem. Mason greeted me at lunchtime today and offered great selections off their menu. Later, I met T, the new Restaurant Manager, then Steve, another server. T and Mason treated me, a first-time customer, as if I owned the place. I felt so comfortable in their dining room. The strawberry salad I had was excellent, and the lemon poppy individual cake loaf was fresh, lemony and not too sweet. I found a new restaurant today, and I am thrilled. Thank you, Mason, T and Steve, for your warmth and for great food. I will be back. :-)
The green chilaquiles and biscuits with jam are delicious! I also ordered the house lemonade but it was a bit too sweet so I had to water it down. Our server was present for the first 30 minutes to order our drinks & food but she didn’t come back after. We had to walk up to the register to ask for more coffee & a different employee ended helping us out.
Stopped here for brunch and was delighted! Our food (biscuit sandwich and chicken/flapjacks) was great! although I do wish the biscuit sandwhich had a fresher element to cut through the richness , still delicious though! Staff was super friendly!
The food is delicious and the people working there are very nice and happy. The desserts are good too. Med chicken was very juicy and yummy with the added yogurt. The turkey sandwich was tasty but nothing too special. The place overall is a good neighborhood sandwich shop but nothing crazy special like it was reported to be in the article I read about it.

Needed a place for a pre meeting lunch with a colleague and found Lemon Poppy on a search. I chose it because of good reviews and lots of gluten free options. It did not disappoint! I had the special gingerbread lattes (amazing!) and my colleague had a dirty Macha latte. We both elected breakfast entrées for our lunch. My colleague chose the steak and eggs and I tried something I had never had before, the mamaliga (yum!) The inside is tiny, and I believe there is an outdoor area, but not usable on a rainy day. Everyone we encountered was friendly and happy to help with decisions on the menu. Would definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

I miss Parsnip when it was at the old location on York. It was my favorite place to go: had a super cute vibe; everyone who worked there was sugar sweet; they had a map of Romania painted on the wall and visitors had signed where they had been or were from. Parsnip is now dead. The menu is super different here. Apparently it’s the same owners but the vibe is totally off. The servers were really snooty towards us; insisted that they refill our waters instead of let us have a pitcher at the table…? Made no sense. The family/Mom & Pop feeling is completely gone. Unfortunately don’t think I’ll be coming back. Maybe to pick up the chicken paprikash, which has thankfully not changed much other than the price which is almost double what it used to be. We tried some of the appetizers which were good, but it’s just not the same… I hope they re-open Parsnip on its own and re-instate the truly Romanian food. I really miss their cheese dumplings, cucumber soup, and cakes. 😩😩😩

I got the salad w chicken ($18) and my friend got the basic order ($19). It was good! It’s just service was super slow. We felt that if we were the ones going to order and go to the cash register then we weren’t sure of the point of dining in. Maybe it’s bc they were busy? Not sure but the service was not good and it ruined my experience.
