Avis sur Fisherman's Outlet Los Angeles
Excellent fish restaurant. Open only for lunches and busy. All the seafood and fish are fresh and you can taste it. Garlic butter is very good, not too much on the garlic side, which is very nice. Salmon was big, and the special shrimp appetizer (1 lb of shrimp) is worst every penny. Shrimp are huge in it. Clam chowder is excellent. Value for money is very good. Very good spot for fish
Everything was great except I think that the Giant Shrimp is a little smaller since the last time I had visited. Too bad Mayor Bass can't clean up the city and get a handle on the Tent/RV Homeless situation.
This place have been around for years. Back in the 1980’s I worked at the Herald Examiner we use to frequent this spot often. Fast forward today I was driving by made a U-turn and decided I would indulge in my past. It’s simple but often times simple can be a really good thing. Nice selection of seafood fried, char-broiled the clam chowder is the best I had in a long time, loaded with clams!
My first time here the special board was swordfish. It was delicious. Everything was fantastic. I had the red clam chowder and for dessert I had ceviche!
Food is delicious and reasonable priced. Shrimp and scallops combo is the best.
Well what can I say about fisherman's market, this restaurant is a landmark it speaks for itself . I took my mother who has been in a wheelchair due to an accident. Well it was wonderful , we sat outside And she enjoyed her fish and chips combo, And I had the halibut combo This place is sensational , the food is fantastic,. I hope that everyone gets to experience the food here . The staff here is excellent there's no better place to go if you want a smile 24/7 Well godbless all and a happy new years Lets go 2025 yeah
Always packed but with good reason! Their food is delicious and worth the wait. Even if you can't find a place to sit down, take it to go. I recommend the Lobster Bisque, the Fried shrimp and scallop plate with rice as the side. Buy the Cajun sauce for the rice and to dip your stuff. Also - Their cocktail cups are amazing
The food is good with good size portions. Have been coming here for a while and it never disappoints. My go to is the fish and shrimp. I would say it's probably enough food for two. There's a good amount of parking in their lot, some street parking. There's a good amount of seating but it does get pretty full around lunch time.
Been coming here since I was a kid and my kids love this place also. It's not as busy as it used to be. Food is delicious and always fresh. Recommend the giant shrimp.
This place is soooo good! It's not just a matter of being reasonably priced, it's cooked to order, fresh seafood!! We prefer grilled, so you really can't beat the bang for your time & buck here. They are quick & courteous at the front counter. So glad we made it on our visit in LA! We hope to see you soon~
Perhaps the best place in LA to get fresh and fast seafood at a reasonable price. There's usually a long line, but trust me, it's well worth the wait. The squad of guys (usually about 10 to 15 deep) keep things moving fast and efficiently. Most people don't realize that there are two lines. I usually bypass the main entrance, go in through the fish market and make then circle back to shorter, faster line. The Charbroiler Sampler D (see photo) - with giant scallops, large shrimp, and salmon - ranks highly on my top 10 favorite meals. Have it with the garlic butter sauce.
It's like going to a bar, but instead of making you a cocktail, they charbroil or fry fish. It's fast, fresh, low key. Just the fried fish is off the chain. Shout out to the charbroiled giant shrimp and scallops with a Cajun sauce or garlic butter. It comes with rice or fries, but I eat low carb and they give me salad and coleslaw. I like the seafood cocktail, the salmon... Everything I've had is really good. They don't take Apple pay, just cash or card. I've been coming here for a long time and it might not be the most beautiful view, but great food and the place is very clean.
You must go thru skid row to get here. If that’ll bother you, don’t come !! Otherwise I cannot say enuf about the portions, the service and plenty of parking
Only issue is the wait. Food is good so there is always a line
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! So fresh and tasty
The very best fish, shrimp & shoe string fries west of the Mississippi, said with complete confidence, as the lightly panko breaded seafood is so tasty with thick meaty pieces of fish that completely satisfies a very hungry appetite with no problem. I love this place & when I think about it it makes me HUNGRY, LOL!!!
Fresh seafood excellently prepared at very reasonable prices! Must try!!
Please give all your employees a well deserved raise. The employees deserve a good raise. They do an excellent job. I was here a few weeks ago and they were all awesome. I came today and saw these wonderful employees on strike and its not fair because this business is a success because of the employees. I hope they get a good raise soon.
I thoroughly enjoyed the food. I had the charbroiled prawns, fries and rice. The garlic butter is delicious. We got our food pretty quickly. You have to wait around for your order to be called. There is no name or number system, they just call out your order and you respond. Also, there's free parking, so that is a plus for DTLA.
How did I not know about this place? If you don't, you need to. Apparently a lot of people do, because it can get VERY busy at lunch. If you love fresh seafood, go here. Casual outside patio seating. Great friendly service and awesome food. There is also a market to pick up some fresh catch to cook at home. Bring a cooler if going on your lunch break so they can put it on ice.
Legendary Seafood Place where I've been already 20 years ago. Super Unique experience, in a forgotten area of LA. Even some LA Natives don't know about this place, to me a real gem. Outdoor Seating, fast and superiorly fresh. Go for the shrimp and scallop combo w/ garlic butter sauce. Seafood doesn't get much better in LA. Decent prices.
Great as soon as we walked in we had the most amazing lunch. Got there before the lunch crowd so enjoyed the quietness
This place has been here as long as i can remember. The menu is simple. They are usually fast getting the food out. I do enjoy their fish and shrimp plate with rice. Its a good portioned meal. Definitely getting what you paid for. I frequent this place often.
One of the best fish outlet food is delish and fresh. I recommend if you live seafood this place is a must. I live their scallops, fry fish charboil and shrimp.
This place had been on my Radar for like 3-4 months before I finally got a chance to try it and it DID NOT DISSAPOINT!! When I 1st drove up it looked super busy and packed but I remebered a review saying not to be discouraged by this as the lines move fast. We were eating within 15 minutes or less. Delicious, fast & fresh seafood. I will definitely be back. HIDDEN GEM IN LA!!
Fisherman’s Outlet is my go-to spot for fresh seafood in Los Angeles. The selection is excellent, with a variety of fish, shellfish, and other seafood that always feels fresh. The staff are friendly and helpful, offering advice on how to cook or prepare different items. Prices are fair for the quality, and the store is clean and well organized. I love coming here to pick up ingredients for home-cooked meals. It’s a reliable place if you want fresh seafood without any hassle.
Atmosphere is very casual and easy going. Food was amazing. Plenty of fresh seafood options from fried to broiled. The serving size is plentyful. The line was pretty long, but moves efficiently.
Great place in DTLA for seafood. Everything is made to order to be prepared to wait. There is no indoor seating, but there was a lot of space available outside. Also they have a free parking lot behind the building for customers. They also have a fish market on the other side of the restaurant. I will definitely be back.
Locals said this was the best, so I tried it. At first, the place didn't look that special, but I have learned not to judge the book by the cover. Wow, the fresh branzino was amazing! Seriously the best fish I've ever eaten. They only have outdoor seating, which is something to know. The location isn't the prettiest. But honestly, the food makes up for everything else. It was so fresh and tasty. The service was also quick, which was nice. Don't let how it looks at first trick you. This place is all about the delicious seafood. If you love fresh fish, you have to try it. The fresh branzino alone is worth going for. You won't be disappointed.
Excellent seafood. Yes there are fried food fish options but it’s such good quality, doesn’t matter. If you don’t want fried, shrimp skewers, scallops, clam chowder are all available. My favorite is the fried fish and shrimp combo. Rice pilaf is quality but fries are also good. I do recommend getting there early if possible. It’s popular with the downtown crowd so lunch time is hectic.
If you’re looking for the best seafood in town, Fisherman’s Outlet is a must-visit! The freshness and flavor of every dish are unmatched. From the moment I took my first bite, I knew I was in for a treat. The seafood is not only incredibly fresh but also seasoned to perfection. Whether you’re craving shrimp, fish, or their famous combo plates, you won’t be disappointed. This is hands down the best seafood I’ve had—so good and tasty that I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic seafood experience!
Fisherman's Outlet Seafood Restaurant If you're looking for a top-notch seafood experience in downtown, look no further than Fisherman's Outlet Seafood Restaurant. I've been a loyal patron for the past 10 years, and I can confidently say that this place never disappoints. The highlight here is undoubtedly the freshness of the seafood. Every dish is expertly prepared, showcasing the quality of the ingredients. Whether you're in the mood for a classic fish and chips or a more elaborate seafood platter, you can expect a delightful meal every time. Service is impressively fast, making it a great spot for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that your dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality justifies the cost. You truly get what you pay for here, and each meal feels like a treat. In summary, if you're in downtown and craving fresh seafood, Fisherman's Outlet is a must-visit. With a decade of consistent excellence, it's a place that continues to impress. Highly recommended!
This place has been one of the best seafood restaurants! I know the location is not at the best place but you can always eat inside or take it to good! Oh, and regarding what I ordered, grill scallop & lobster bisque made my day! Grill scallop was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The lobster bisque is best in town! If you are into seafood, I highly recommend this place!
This is our first time at Fishman's Outlet and Fish Market in downtown L.A. Friends were telling me if you want to try fresh seafood and buy it got to the Fisherman's Outlet in downtown L.A.. After shopping at the flower district we headed to the Fisherman's Outlet for lunch it took us couple of minutes to get there to the restaurant. The restaurant is a historic landmark in downtown. We walk in the restaurant it was busy but not that busy we look at the menu display very thing is fresh seafood including they have a seafood market next door selling fresh fish. My wife and I decided to order the fish combo with shrimp and we choice rice instead of fries two drink and carrot cake. It took couple of minutes to get our order we went outside and grab a table and we sit to enjoy our seafood meal. The fish was amazing good it was tender and fresh and the shrimp were good including the sauces come with the meal. The rice pretty good also. The carrots cake was good also.
The seafood here is amazing! It is so fresh and the portions are very large. The food is definitely reasonably priced. I ordered the Giant Shrimp and Giant Scallop with French fries and coleslaw. I also ordered the calamari plate. The fries and coleslaw were extremely tasty and I was very full at the end of my meal. The garlic herb sauce was a great addition and it fit the dish well. I have been here a couple of times and will come back whenever I drive to LA.

The clam chowder is some of the best I have ever had. The food is very good and the price for the portions is unbelievable. There is a variety of seafood and different ways that it is prepared.. I ordered a grilled lobster tail and it was so big I could not eat all of it so I had a great lunch the next day.

Classic spot, the grilled and fried choices are immaculate and the service is good. I try to come when they open because it gets busy.

Fresh seafood with large portions. Finding seating can be a challenge as the place is always busy but the charm and atmosphere is unmatched
Freshest fish and seafood, great value, also the market has seafood by the pound. The food in the open Restaurante is also cooked when you ask for it, so freshest impossible.

Great, fresh seafood made to order. They also have a market if you want to cook your own. Worth the visit.
Good is good but be ready to pay more than 20 bucks for each order
I worked around the corner from fisherman outlet a while back. When you go it looks like a lot of people in line. They are so fast it means nothing how long the line is. If your worried it’s too long may I suggest phone orders... when you call it in, you pick up on the fish monger side of the restaurant. There is never anyone there and no line. Pay and your out of there. I like the original sampler plater with rice and of course a cup of chowda. Good stuff so if in LA give them a try it on the pricy side but worth it. Check’em out!!!
Delicious, fresh & well worth the drive & traffic! A colleague of mine wanted to take me out for lunch, & we decided on this spot with no regrets! The line was ridiculously long but it was worth the wait. The menu is a little pricey for fast food, but again, its fresh! I'll definitely be back !
Everything was very fresh and very good. The giant grilled shrimp with seasoned butter was awesome. The grilled halibut was as good as I've had anywhere. During the week things move pretty quickly. This time it was a Saturday at 2pm, I was in line for 47 minutes before I could place my order. I counted 15 guys in the kitchen and in the front going full out.. they pump a lot of food out of here.

The shrimp 🍤/fish combo had 2 nice pieces of fish, lots of shrimp,it was utterly tasteless! No pre seasoning at all. Dousing with hot sauce, tarter sauce doesn't cut it. They need to season their fish a bit. It was all batter- no flavor.
Wanted to try this place out for a while and finally did. I was pretty disappointed. I read the reviews prior about the tasteless food, and they were spot on. Food was tasteless from the clam chowder, "premium" shrimp burger, and fried shrimp. The fries were pretty good. The side of Cole slaw was pretty awful. The service was good. No complaints there. Went with my 8 year old daughter. She gave it a 4/10 lol. Wasn't the worst, but probably not going back again.
Get there early or late for lunch. The combo plates such as shrimp & scallops are price worthy. Sorry to say, they swapped out their red cocktail sauce for another brand (or the formula was changed). Not as good as the original. Thumbs down. The tartar sauce remains a favorite. The attendees behind the counter are a bit brusque, so be ready. Also, don't leave without checking your order. They (cooks) DO make mistakes. It happened to me Again... even when only 4 customers were being attended. It felt like I was dealing with 'Pickles'.
Ok so the last time I was here was pre covid \nGood quality is different \nFish is thin now\nYou can taste the gross oil = I didn't like it this time at all! \nHowever. The grilled prawns with th…
YIKES... A downtown staple gone down the tubes... I have been going over 40 years and should've known something was different when I pulled up at lunch time on a Friday and walked right inside to order. I have noticed the decline in food quality over the past year. Food use to be OUTSTANDING and reasonable Had the fried and grilled seafood sampler platters. Both options were costly and untasty. Will not trek downtown for this option anymore
What a let down! After waiting an hour, I placed my order, paid and patiently waited the 3 minutes until my food was ready. I ordered the number 1 since multiple people told me that's the go to and I also ordered a large clan chowder. Unfortunately I didn't check until I got home and saw that they gave me French fries instead of rice. Plus the French fries were old and hard. Fish was OK shrimp was meh. Clam chowder was alright. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!
This place is not worth the price, meal for 2 people will cost you $60 food is just average nothing especial for that price I can do so much better mariscos 4 vientos just a few blocks away is cheaper and much better without the wait. you have to wait in line for at least 45 minutes a total waste of time for mediocre food don't waste not worth it 💰
First time visiting, customer service experience was saddening. They made a mistake on my sauce (I wanted Cajun and then gave me garlic sauce) I went up to the counter to exchange for the correct sauce. my friend liked the garlic sauce, I didn’t. My friends house just burned down in the fires so I thought it would be nice to take him to lunch. The man at the counter was pretty rude about the sauce situation—he refused to let me keep the sauce I’d dipped my food into already even when I asked, he refused to make eye contact with me after throwing the sauce away in front of me. The sampler plate was good. The mahi was unseasoned and the Cajun sauce did not make up for it. Fries are solid. Won’t visit again, maybe the employees feel like they need customers to throw food away in order to keep their jobs? Or maybe they’re just careless and lack compassion? Either way I wouldn’t invite those types of people to lunch with me. Being kind is free
It was my first time and I was VERY disappointed to be honest. The food is pricey so my expectations were HIGH! I had the grilled scallops and lobster. It was served over rice with a garlic sauce. The food was VERY BLAND, like shockingly so! I noticed MOST people ordered the fried foods, maybe those are better tasting. Who knows?! I will NOT be returning and I do not recommend.
Portions are too small, prices are sky high, not as used to be, look at the fish piece, very small for the price, this meal costed $100

I have been a customer since 1984.. The food was always beyond the best quality and prices were fantastic!! In the last couple of years the fried shrimps & scallops have become so small it almost comical.. The French fries are like cold sticks.. The prices are ridiculous for the quality and non-quality.. I’m definitely heartbroken since this WAS my most favorite restaurant.. Unfortunately since the reopening since Covid it has been consistently failing..😢
Very expensive one little clam Chowder Was $9 + tax way to Expensive for one clammy, a potato or a 1/2. Clam They literally give me like 2 or 3 oz.
Truthfully speaking the food was perfectly fried...however the reason for rating is the FACT that they are not serving what your paying for. I ordered the scallop and shrimp, clam chowder and garlic bread. And dam their scallops are deplorable. The imitation scallops is probably surimi. Its an awful joke and the pricing does not reflect that of an honest establishment. Truth this is an awful and dismal fraud of a dishonest business. SHAME ON YOU!
