I was too busy eating that I didn’t take many photos! Fresh, excellent prices, friendly staff and the perfect place for a quick bite! The ceviche was why I came but I couldn’t resist and ordered some tacos that didn’t disappoint! I’ll be back for the rest of the menu which is small but that only means that the food is extremely fresh.
I just moved to the area and have been basically living off of the fish tacos. One day I came in during the morning and they gave me these massive pieces of fish in each taco and so much toppings, best breakfast ever, made my day. To be honest I’m a simple gal, these tacos quite literally change the course of my day. Bad day? Fish Tacos = great day, fantastic even. Their red sauce is also phenomenal. Only problem I have is that I feel like I’m constantly feening for more tacos.
I've moved around a lot in the 20+ years I've lived in LA. One of the first things I look for when I land in a new area is a good fish taco place. I have enjoyed this place since the 1st time I lived in the area which was a long time ago. Now that I'm back in this part of town, it is a go-to spot. Tasty tacos. Well balanced. Excellent sauces. Their parking lot is tricky if you haven't been there before.
Hands down best pricing and most delicious Tacos Pescado (fish tacos) in Los Angeles—lightly battered and fried, crispy, and filling. The only expensive item on the menu is the Ceviche, which is also good! (The tacos and the quesadilla are the stars of the show.) Come here for a quick bite, or a cute dinner or lunch date—atmosphere feels like you’re in a movie scene eating tacos.
I’ve driven past this spot so many times and finally decided to pick up some tacos and ceviche and I’m so glad I did! Everything is so fresh, well made, delicious and flavorful. The parking lot is super convenient and the staff made the hand off very simple as well. Love it and will definitely be coming back many times again!
2nd best food i’ve had in LA. went with a groo. it’s hard to find parking everytime but just walk bruh.
Fish tacos and the quesadilla are definitely worth trying. I asked for no cilantro since I can’t eat it, and it was served that way. The fish had a crispy batter that wasn’t thick, and the combination of cabbage and salsa felt refreshing. Quesadilla had savory cheese, and the tortilla was well grilled, giving it a toasty flavor. Even without special ingredients, it focused on the basics, which made it satisfying. It wasn’t very greasy.
Got the 16 ounce pescado/fish ceviche and an agua de pepino. Came with 4 tostadas and hot sauce. Was a really good snack. Tasted fresh and you got a lot for the price. The drink was really good as well! I came at night and it was well lit with plenty of seats. Would be a good spot for people watching during the day time. Already planning on coming back again!
A tasty spot for some fish tacos or ceviche. Ingredients were fresh and the fried shrimp was crunchy. Service was quick. Visited this spot while on a bike ride. Plenty of parking for bikes and vehicles alike.
OMG THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!! I had the ceviche pescado and it was incredible. So fresh so good!!! I will be back for the Auguachile!
Wow amazing. The fish ceviche, fish & shrimp flour tortilla all fire. Great atmosphere. The horchata was creamy but not too sweet and cucumber lime drink super refreshing. Everything was great!!! Would come again. We paid $28 as a snack for two of us.
Shrimp tacos were bomb and pepino was fresca was fire. Outdoor patio is a bit small and noisy when it’s hot out.
This restaurant has such a small menu so if you like one thing you’ll like the whole restaurant, enjoy the fish tacos and the potato taquitos five stars
Love this place food is fairly priced. Tacos are about 4-5$ each and portions are great. There is no inside area there is only an outdoor area to sit and eat. It’s very cute and I’ve personally ate here like 6 different times and I don’t even live in LA pls go try if you love seafood. Staff is always very kind make sure to tip them.
Amazing ceviche. Definitely definitely come here if you’re in the Silver Lake area! We created our own taco tour around LA, and because of some good reviews that we found on ‘Eater’ this place made the spot. We ordered a little bit of everything on the menu, and everything is good, but the ceviche is amazing, and good quantity as well because it is a little pricey.
Probably some of the best fish tacos in the area and at the best prices too. Great ceviche and dorados. They have a free parking lot and dining outside. Great for a fast and easy meal.
THIS IS WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT. California Baja living at its finest. I got a ceviche, a dorado, and a fish taco. And I was the happiest boi u can find. Very filling, and man, I’d have another one of those dorados right now if I could. They got about 6 tables available for outdoor seating.
Came here on a Thursday night and it was no lines no waiting. You order at the window, pick a table at the outdoor covered seating area right out front, and the food is ready in just a minute or two. I had the shrimp quesadilla and the mixed ceviche. Both were fantastic. I loved the tortilla, and the cheese slightly crisped around the edges of the quesadilla…perfect. The salsa is comes with is has a comfortable amount heat. I put it ok every bite, even though it would have been great on its own. I can’t wait to come back and try the tacos next time!
Super delicious. I recently moved into the area and have been always wanting to try this place. It is absolutely yummy and the portions are a great size. I highly recommend and will be back again for sure!
Playita Mariscos is a great new spot from the Guisados team. Delicious fish and shrimp tacos, aguachilles, ceviche, dorados and quesadillas. Service was awesome. A higher price point than El Siete Mares who they replace and I miss the shrimp burrito something fierce, but the only constant in life is change and I'm not gonna hate on tasty Mexican seafood.

Fish tacos & fried shrimp tacos are really good. It's hard to find some 'Dorados' in LA for me but Playita is a good place to have some seafood tacos.

If you’re in East LA and craving solid mariscos, Playita Mariscos is hands-down a go-to spot. I’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. Their shrimp tacos are a must. You can get them hard or soft, and either way they’re packed with flavor. I love that every taco plate comes with rice and beans and chips — it makes it a full, satisfying meal. And let’s talk about the ceviche: it’s always fresh and super good. They offer different types, so there’s something for everyone, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The people who work here are friendly and generous with the salsa and extras, which always makes the experience even better. The restaurant itself is super clean, and even though it’s usually packed on the weekends, the vibe is welcoming and worth the wait. Playita Mariscos has been a staple for me for years, and it’s still one of my favorite stops for shrimp tacos and fresh ceviche in East LA.
The shrimp dorado and taco were both AMAZING. So nicely, lightly fried and filling. Have to shout out the cashier who noticed I accidentally left a $20 tip instead of a $2 tip and immediately refunded me. Thank you for the great food and service!

Food is really fresh and good. Portions are good too. Just a little pricey for the type of food.
Came here on a Friday about 1:30pm. Ordered right away but took a few minutes to find a table cause of the small size. Ordered the tacos de camaron and pescado and they were delicious. The camaron was my favorite. Wife ordered the aguachile de camaron and it was spicy!! I love eating spicy and definitely loved it, but do believe my tolerance is just slightly above average so be warned. Parking lot is also small so you might have to look for street parking. Biggest downside is they dont serve beer or alcohol.
The service was speedy and friendly, didn’t have to wait long for the food and prices are very reasonable. I tried a little bit of it all and it was good not the best I’ve ever had good but good. The shrimp dorado tacos were mostly potato inside I wasn’t expecting that, I thought it was just going to be shrimp inside but it was tasty. The aguachiles are truly chilosos - very spicy, but edible if you like the spice. If you can’t handle spicy even a little don’t order them they are not for you. The tacos were good I tried both the fish and shrimp. The orders came with a decent amount of tostadas and crackers Overall it was good.
The tacos are good tasting. My gripe is with their website which shows outdated prices. As a business you can do better.

Ordered Aguachile Pescado and got Shrimp instead. The shrimp was old chewy and bad too. I couldn’t eat it! Had to throw the entire 16OZ away! The shrimp ceviche was OKAY. Lesson learned. Maybe it’s better fresh in person? But don’t get it delivered. It’s just not fresh.

I think the food here is delicious, but yesterday I bought a quesadilla for my pregnant wife and brought it home to her. She took a bite and began to chew and immediately spit the food out onto her hand and realized there was a finger nail inside her quesadilla. Her and I felt completely disgusted and could not continue eating their food. Please make sure to wear gloves or have your cooks cut their finger nails so this doesn't happen to another customer.
. I'm too embarrassed 🙈 to post a photo of the mixed seafood cocktail I ordered. The seafood isn't fresh at all; it came straight from a frozen bag, with no flavor, color, or texture. I'm from the coast and I know what fresh seafood is, and the price is ridiculous for the quality. Next time, I'll eat street tacos.
Date: February 5, 2026 Time: 2:30 PM (noon) I came to your establishment around 2:30 PM today to pick up my order. The female employee who delivered my order displayed an extremely disrespectful attitude, completely ignoring even the most basic rules of customer communication. She didn't even bother to look me in the face while I was placing my order. She turned her head away while I was speaking, deliberately avoiding eye contact. This behavior was clearly condescending and humiliating. I was made to feel like I was a nuisance while receiving my order. I want to emphasize this: I am paying for my purchase here. No one is doing me a favor. I am a regular customer of this establishment and have dealt with many different employees throughout my life. I have never encountered such treatment before. When taking an order from a customer: • You look them in the face. • You offer a brief smile. • You at least make them feel valued. None of these things were done today. On the contrary, I was met with an extremely cold, indifferent, and disrespectful attitude. This behavior is unprofessional and does not befit your business's reputation. I am specifically providing this feedback because this type of behavior leads to customer loss. I have been satisfied with this business until today, but this incident has caused serious disappointment. I expect appropriate action to be taken and for similar disrespectful behavior not to be inflicted on other customers.
