Sat at the bar for drinks and dinner. The bartender was friendly and very helpful. The place was quiet, the band on the patio was background music. Food was great, good presentation and excellent flavor. They brought us 3 kinds of salsa (green, red, and hot) and all were good although the hot could have been hotter. Prices were moderate ($15-20) All in all, a nice Friday evening.

After a long hot afternoon my husband and I were starving. Usually we would pick a restaurant we’ve already eaten at many times. But today we wanted to try something new. ABUELO’S it was! Definitely did NOT disappoint. We were greeted immediately walking inside, then were met with the nicest server ever, Katelynn. She gave us chips and salsa right away got our drinks and even suggested an appetizer to start. After we ordered our food didn’t take very long to come out. It was hot, and delicious. I got the chicken fajitas 10/10 and my husband got the Grande plate 10/10. After eating she suggested a dessert which I rarely get, but she made the service so great, why not. Ended our experience with amazing dessert, and a to-go beverage. Thank you Katelynn again for an amazing experience. And thank you ABUELO’S, we will definitely be returning.

Delicious Mexican! Salsas and guacamole were flavorful and spicy. Durango burrito and Green Chile Pork chimichanga were great, with plenty to take home for the next meal! Perfect for a travel day! Service was friendly and attentive.

I always enjoy the food here it hasn’t ever disappointed, I’m not big on taking home leftovers but when we eat here we usually take home the leftovers! Our recent visit 10/8/24 was awesome.. went with my grandparents and everyone was happy with their food.. I gave 3* for atmosphere because it’s very crowded and loud.. our table was so close to the people next to us and their whole conversation was all we could hear. I will still return but next time will make sure to ask for a booth.

Overall, good value, but my fajita tacos were lukewarm and plate was cold when presented. Guacamole was brown on top. Service was good. Ambiance was welcoming and warm.

Sometimes you just want classic Tex-Mex done right—and Abuelo’s delivers exactly that kind of comforting, crowd-pleasing experience. We started with the house chips and salsa trio, which is always a win here. The chips were warm and crisp, and the variety of salsas—from bright and fresh to deeper and more roasted—made it easy to keep reaching for “just one more.” A solid way to kick things off. For my main, I went the veggie route, and honestly, this was the standout of the meal. The sizzling vegetable fajitas arrived steaming hot and loaded with broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, and squash—perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and served on a cast-iron skillet that kept everything hot down to the last bite. Colorful, hearty, and surprisingly satisfying, even without meat. The rest of the table went more traditional with enchiladas, rice, beans, guacamole, and queso, and everything looked generous and comforting in that familiar, crave-worthy Tex-Mex way. Portions are filling, flavors are approachable, and it’s easy to find something for everyone at the table. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a lively bar area and cozy booths that make it a great spot for a casual dinner, family outing, or low-key night out. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything came out exactly as expected. Abuelo’s may be a familiar name, but when you’re in the mood for reliable Tex-Mex, solid vegetarian options, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe, it absolutely hits the mark.

We always love going to Abuelo’s for date nights! Food is always outstanding. Service has always been great as well. Have been very disappointed with the hostesses greetings the past few times we ate here. We came around 7pm and the hostesses did not greet us and were eating food behind the stand. After I finally said “Hi!” They were short with me and did not seem to care that their service was not good. Will definitely be back but hope to see some improvement with the hostess staff.

Had a lovely lunch. Food was great and consistent. Service was great. Very pleasant hostess and waitress. I would have liked a suggestion on a dessert or even just the question of if I wanted one. And one last check prior to leaving. I would have asked for a bit more tea. Outside of those 2 very minor points, we had a nice time and enjoyed ourselves. *4 stars on the atmosphere, only because the booth I was seated in was pretty broken down. I felt like a kid trying to sit at the grownup table. LOL!

I had a delicious bowl for dinner. The service and atmosphere was okay for me due to it being busy. I would recommend coming to enjoy some good food for dinner as long as you are not in a hurry.

Nice restaurant, beautifully decorated. Lots of people but waited less than 5 minutes. There is a patio, but it was not in use. There is also a large bar area with TVs. Our waiter was very attentive without hovering. Lots of good choices! Price are reasonable. Parking was no problem. We ordered the fire grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon ( excellent!) and chicken Enchiladas (very good) rice (good) and refried beans ( no flavor at all). Overall, I was very happy and would eat here again!

The food here is okay at best. I certainly had better Mexican food, but it gets the job done. The thing that really bothers me is that the seats from the booth aren’t clean. I came and sat on something wet, and it ruined my day. The servers need to do a better job at cleaning tables.

Food is cold .. the chicharons are cold and harder than a rock.. salsa is ok , tortillas are cold .. the queso is not great .. the empanadas are cold but ok .. the temp is almost fridge cold .. the dip sample looks good but is not great .. we had to get are own plates and had to grab silverware after asking and getting some silverware.. the staff is not great except our waitress. This is sad .. the hospitality is very negative and it makes the atmosphere not great from the hostess to the staff in general.. don’t recommend

Update: Thank you very much to Brian th Hospitality manager for taking time to personally reach out to me regarding my experience last night. It is greatly appreciated. Abuelos is one of my my favorite places to get enchiladas. Due to being so busy I ordered food to go. I get my food and I ordered a simple cheese enchilada plate and got beef. It says on the order for concerns to please call. I call let the to go girl know what happened she didn’t bother to check my order, ask questions nothing. It was pretty much oh well. Im sorry but I think I will be getting enchiladas else where. I was not rude at all to get the attitude in return.
