Fui recomendado por un amigo madrileño y el Txirimiri cumplió todas las expectativas! La tortilla de cebolla caramelizada de las mejores que he probado en mi vida y del milhojas de rabo de toro no me voy a olvidar nunca. Al ir solo no pude probar más platos, pero ya volveré. Atención muy correcta y cordial por parte de todo el personal y una relación calidad/precio excelente.

Una taberna vasca de verdad. Platos riquísimos y abundantes, con un excelente servicio en el que debo resaltar a John. No hay demora en la cocina y los precios son un poco elevados pero proporcionales a la calidad de los productos. Recomendado.

Disfrutamos un menú navideño en el Txirimiri de la calle Ferraz y fue excelente: platos sabrosos y bien elaborados. Pero si algo merece una mención especial es el trato del personal. El equipo fue cercano, atento y extremadamente profesional. Uno de los comensales tenía varias intolerancias alimentarias, y la respuesta del personal fue ejemplar: escucharon con calma, adaptaron platos sin poner una sola pega y se aseguraron en todo momento de que pudiera disfrutar de la comida con total tranquilidad. Totalmente recomendable. Enhorabuena.

Un 10 por el trato exquisito de Dodomas, y luego Mano y Luis también de categoría. Nos hemos sentido como en casa. Se puede comer a la carta muy bien y de menú por unos 15 de maravilla. Me ha encantado el sitio, la ración, todo muy rico casero y el trato. Hay mesas dentro, mesas altas y terraza. La tortilla de cebolla riquísima. El baño amplio, limpio, con papel, y lo único que tiene un escalón antes de la llegada. Hay cambiador para niños

By far, one of our favorite dining experiences during our trip to Madrid. The food was fantastic. The staff was warm and welcoming. And the atmosphere was relaxed, yet slightly upscale. Starting with the food, there were so many wonderful items we tasted from their menu. However, at the top of the list was the Iberico Pork. It was cooked to perfection. Sooo tender and seasoned perfectly. It would just melt in your mouth. And it came with a side of roasted potatoes that were infused with rosemary. Amazing! A close second were the Ox Tail Tacos. Again, extremely tender meat and the flavors were outstanding! Wow! We enjoyed ourselves so much, that we returned several times. And the staff immediately remembered us and generously offered us small tokens of food or drink on the house. What a kind group! This place will be a must on our return visit.

Ended up here kind of as a last resort on a Friday as it was the only place around with a reservation available. Ended up being the best meal we've had in Madrid so far. Both the wines we got were delicious. The free tapa had the most delicious sausage and potatoes. The scallops were excellent, the sausage was our favorite, the duck gyozas were delicious. Would definitely recommend.

A wonderful neighborhood Basque themed restaurant. A good Txakoli available. Grilled artichokes and grilled vegetable plates are very good. The entrecôte was perfectly cooked and a generous portion. Most wines at 3 euros a glass.

So good I ate there twice! I knew this needed to be my last meal in Madrid and I don’t know what I’m going to do without this restaurant! Now that I know all about croqueta can be, I am ruined forever. I would go back to Madrid again just to eat there. My only regret is not trying more things but the croqueta sampler was so good I had to have it again. The staff was super kind and helpful, especially when it came to picking out a wine to pair well with the meal. The restaurant is also super close to lots of neat sites so you can enjoy your meal and then walk it off with some beautiful sites.

At the last minute decide to try Txirimiri Ferraz. We arrive at 7.30pm and we are first there. Manage to get a table without a booking, but notice nearly every table is reserved. By 8.10pm every table was full (I recommend reservation). The service is attentive and prompt. The restaurant serves Basque orientated food and it is very good. D had scallops (best she’s ever had apparently), and LINGOTE DE VACA MADURADA which translates in English on the menu to OLD BEEF INGOT. It’s a very good steak with a great jus and the crisp sweet potato fries are excellent. I have grilled artichokes and CAZUELA DE BACALAO (a Basque codfish casserole in a special sauce). The Codfish is lovely, a beautiful piece of fish in the best sauce. It’s served with grilled zucchini and eggplant and some rice. You’ll need that rice to ensure you get every last bit of the sauce. Wine is excellent and well priced. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive. The dining area is nice with a touch of the old in a modern setting. We had a really nice night.

One of the best meals I’ve had in Spain! The artichokes melted in your mouth. We also got a goat cheese salad as a starter. I had a lightly fried cod with white wine. Everything we ordered was delicious that night, and we came with a large group. I cannot wait to come back again soon !

Great food with nice service! We weee recommended the restaurant by a friend from Madrid and so pleased he did. We loved it so much we paid a second visit later in the week with another friend so we could enjoy some amazing Tapas. The Spanish omelette is Definitely one to squeeze in too!

We chose to eat at a table on the street. Fatima our server was outstanding. She did her for two Canadians who couldn't understand the menu. We started off with an oxtail carpaccio starter. That was to die for. Enough for two. My wife had been oxtail meatballs and I had a baby squid and both were fabulous. The wine by the glass was terrific. Overall extremely satisfied.

The food was delicious. Ordered the duck gyoza, oxtail tacos, and spicy potato tx style. All were delicious. The gyoza and oxtail tacos had a deep stewed taste, in a very authentic Asian flavor way. The spicy potatoes flavor was complex and fun with spicy mayo mixed with pickled jalapeños and onions. Ordered the arroz con leche for dessert, it had bits of pineapple & dried orange to deepen the flavors. The rice was a tad big/chewy for me but tastes good nonetheless! The service was great. A server even picked up a lady's bag to place it on a chair instead of the floor. He went out of his way for several tables while I dined. The place has maybe 15 tables. On a Monday night 10:30pm, no need for reservations. Would return again!

A unique restaurant, not too fancy and very surprising with it's dishes. We shared all the plates, and the tastes were incredible. The octopus is a must. The dessert was also very tasty and recommended. Service was great, we even got a shot drink at the end of the meal 👌.

Amazing restaurant with really good service. We ordered lots of food as you can see on the pictures The pulpo is just amazing that is the one you really should get...the steak was tasty as well...medium cooked and juicy as hell!! Lovely ! The other tapas we ordered like batata bravas and the jamon was good as well Waiters are nice and sweet They give you a limoncello at the end of the meal (for free) which really is a nice drink after a big meal!! Go for it if you are a tourist and want nice food...they speak English very well

We had dinner at Txirimiri Ferraz on a Tuesday. We arrived a little after 7:30 pm and the restaurant was not crowded so we were seated immediately. Fortunately, the waiter spoke English as our Spanish is not good. We ordered a small caramelized onion tortilla (tortilla de patata jugosa con cebolla caramelizada), oxtail mille feuille (milhojas de rabo de toro), tuna tataki (tataki de atun toro), grilled vegetables (parrillada de verduras), and artichoke flowers (flor de alcachofas). Everything was DELICIOUS! The oxtail was very tender, tuna was fatty, grilled veggies with a romesco sauce were delicious, and the artichoke had foie gras on top! I would highly recommend coming here. We loved everything we ate and the service was very friendly and patient with tourists.

Another top notch restaurant. There are a few locations in Madrid. This one is just north of the Plaza de España. Just 3-4 blocks away. All of the food is excellent and particularly steak items and fish. And the bravas have the best sauce I’ve ever had. Gets really busy so make a reservation. That said most Spaniards reserve for 2:30 or later so talk to the host/hostess and let them know you can be done “more quickly “ since tourists are often on the click and locals are generally not.

Although we hadn't made a reservation, the waiter made a place available for us. He was very friendly and helpful. The food is fabulous and you have a lot of choices to choose from.

La comida está buena, se nota que tienen buena mano en la cocina. Destacaría las croquetas de chuletón y la torrija. Estás dos cosas sería por las que volvería. Aunque es verdad que el precio es algo elevado. Nosotros éramos 3 personas y salimos a 33€ por persona.

A good stop in Madrid! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Located just next to the Temple of Debod, Txirimiri Ferraz totally exceeded our expectations. We ordered the Tortilla de Cebolla Caramelizada and the Tortilla de Txistorra e Idiazábal (medium size) both were perfectly cooked, soft inside and full of flavor. The Delicias de Idiazábal dish was deliciously creamy and rich, and the calamari rings were crispy and fresh, with some bread on the side to complete the meal. The service was friendly, the atmosphere cozy, and the portions generous — we left completely satisfied and happily full. A must-visit spot for authentic Spanish bites near Debod Temple!

The food was absolutely amazing with a few fusion dishes. There was only two of us so we could not order and experience a lot of dishes. What I enjoy is that this restaurant is not very touristy. We had some great conversations with some locals sitting next to our table. I would have given this restaurant a five star had a waiter not been so cool to us at the beginning.

Gourmet place near the Temple of Debod. Worth a visit if you want more upscale tapas. prices are average. Easy to reach, the metro station is just a few minutes walk.

La carne es espectacular, muy rica, y la atención también estuvo a la altura. Quizá la tortilla me decepcionó un poco, la encontré algo chiclosa y con un sabor menos especial de lo esperado. Volveré para darle otra oportunidad, porque creo que puede haber sido un mal día. En general, el restaurante está bien y la atención es muy maja. Sin embargo, eché en falta que los postres fueran elaborados en la propia cocina; al ser de obrador, le resta valor a la experiencia. En este mundo moderno, lo cómodo a veces va en detrimento de la calidad. Pagar 8 euros por una tarta de queso de obrador con poco sabor me parece excesivo. En fin, una experiencia buena en conjunto, aunque con aspectos a mejorar.

Las expectativas, altas por las reseñas, no se vieron del todo cumplidas. La cocina es correcta, aunque más cercana a una visión madrileña de lo vasco que a su esencia real. Los pinchos no brillaron, pero el cazón y los postres sí dejaron buen sabor. Un lugar correcto, sin sorpresas.

En un ambiente amable y con un servicio igual, probamos carnes, moluscos, tortilla, un poco de todo para comer, reseñar la tortilla. Tiene su público, su relación calidad precio, a mi me pareció descompensada. Caro para el trato que se le da al productor. Pero ánimo a que lo probéis y ya me contareis si fue un día de mala suerte

We enjoyed a quiet evening. The place wasn't full. The dishes are large and generous. The tartar de gaucamole was really good! The tortilla comes in sizes. Even the small one is big 🙃 but was not our cup of tea. The risotto was lovely (if you like the red wine version).
