Affordable homemade food. We ordered breakfast and we liked it. The portions were very well served. The breakfasts include rice and beans with great flavor, and freshly handmade corn tortillas!

What the previous reviews say about the long wait time is true. I waited over 35 minutes to get my food and the fish was on the dry side. I should have gotten their house special steamed fish, but I was craving fried fish. The oil tasted reasonably fresh, maybe because it was early in the day at 10:30 AM. They were very busy so I may have ordered the wrong thing here! The price is great though. A large fish was 80. Medium 70, small 60. Cash only

Bad food, portions according to the price, it is apparently cheap, but its portions are ridiculously small, it is not worth eating there, good service from one of its waiters, the other waiter seems to be doing you a favor by serving you, also none of the waiters wore face masks, I will not return to that place.

I went wanting to try it because I saw some recommendation videos, and it was nothing like that. We arrived and the man who served us was very arrogant and gave us the menu, almost as if to say, "There you see it," but he never took our order. He had other dirty tables and there was room outside and he told us no, only inside for the hot food. Don't believe everything you see in the videos (like me, XD, but lesson learned, haha). It's true that it's cheap, but it's better to give another place in the market or the surrounding area a chance.

It's true the food is very cheap, but it's not worth saving 30-50 pesos. We bought two aguachiles, and the shrimp were incredibly smelly and tasted awful; they really seemed like they were spoiled. We told the waiters, and they just said it was normal but that they were fresh, which I highly doubt because they tasted and smelled terrible. Luckily, they didn't make us sick, but we ate them with a lot of disgust. On top of that, the service is terrible; they're not attentive and answer you as if they're doing you a favor. I should mention that I ate at other restaurants next door to this place in the market, and the food was delicious, and the shrimp were super fresh, so the problem was specifically here. I suppose that's why it's cheaper than the other restaurants. I don't recommend it at all.

A very cheap restaurant for when you're hungry, but not good for satisfying a craving, because you also need a lot of stamina to eat since they take half an hour to serve you, and the food often arrives salty, plus there's the hygiene issue. But if you're a cheapskate, you can go there.

Don't waste your time here and appreciate your time in Mazatlán. We came for the experience of eating upstairs in the market, but it's better to save yourself the time by going somewhere else. We waited over an hour for our food.
