STORYTIME: We have to admit my partner and I were going to eat at New York Deli nearby when we saw Blue Onion was also an option to have lunch. We saw NYD was busy so we had our opportunity to try out Blue Onion. Our server Kiara, I think suggested some Gyro/ Flat Breads the Chicken Pesto and Al Pastor. WE WERE BLOWN AWAY. Honestly so good we don’t even eat that kind of food but it was very delicious with two sides. The Marinated Cucumbers were delicious a new flavor we’ve never had. Dan the owner gifted us two tiramisu shots as a thank you for being first timers. Now, we will come again, great vibe and service.

Good fresh food at good prices. Came for lunch and enjoyed a fresh 🥗 salad and fish soup. The fajita pizza was soo delish 🔥 Thank you for visibility posting the extra charge for using credit cards. ⭐️⭐️

The Smoked Fajita Salad never disappoints, fajita is so soft, adding the balsamic vinaigrette gives it so much flavor, and the rest of the salad is just right. Would highly recommend this to anyone. 🔥👌🏼

The restaurant is very welcoming and warm with hosts and owner courteously attending our every need. The food is freshly prepared from what we could see..and portions are BIG...VERY BIG...i just couldn't finish my meal😩😩😩..took half home to eat the following day...the prices are proper for fresh, one of a kind dishes(that don't dissapoint)... Its not for every day...but splurging on yourself and ur tummy once a month..this place is IT!! I ordered gyro tacos(for me and the ball n chain)...and a cucumber and sautéed garlic salad...i like healthy stuff!! Highly recommend!!

Good and value for the money food place...I like this place because they genuinely respect the veggitariens.....very few of restaurants in McAllen area those are surving vegetarian food....I would request to management keep it up and enrich your menu with more vegetarian food items ...All the very best....

I had one of there salads and it was great. It had some chicken strips but I couldn't find them. It was still good.

I will say that the food here is excellent, the gyro was absolutely delicious, the bread was soft and the meat juicy, the cucumber salad made this gyro taste great. The shrimp and garlic pizza was also delicious. The restaurant itself isn't very appealing for my tastes. Our server Jose was incredible, he was fun and polite, it is because of him I'm giving this place 5 ⭐.

I had lunch on a Friday and ordered the fajita Alpastor wrap for the 100th time and the quality has gone down. It taste like it was boiled and not seared. The fajita was extremely chewy. I had not had that problem before and I hope it was only this once. My salad bowl had a small puddle of water.

I absolutely love the food! My wife and almost always get the fajita salad which is magnificent! But it irritates the hell out of me to have to pay a 4% up charge to use my credit card. Add 4% to the price of the food and I would not bat an eye. I try to not go there unless we are dying for the salad and gyros. This is not good marketing!

I had lunch on a Sunday and ordered the fajita Alpastor wrap for the tenth time and the quality has gone down. The fajita did not have the membrane/skin taken off and it was extremely chewy. I had not had that problem before and I hope it was only this once. The pizzas were good.

Bought a gyro, as tasty as bread tomato and lamb can be, this is not a gyro. Best part of my meal was the cucumber salad. Will not order again.
