Mo' Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food

I can’t remember the last time I had such delicious fresh tasting food out to eat. The teriyaki chicken was so flavorful. You can see them grilling the chicken right in front of you. I think I found my new favorite restaurant. The staff was friendly.

Swung by this place last minute. Got way more than I expected. Ron and Jeffrey greeted me with warm welcomes and smiles. The food came out hot fresh and fast. They helped me figure out what I wanted and offered recommendations. Definitely went above and beyond what you’d normally expect at 9pm on a Friday from a food joint. If you’re looking for Hawaiian food, this location is the place to be.

Food is always excellent. Portion sizes are generous and place is clean. Affordable prices and the pog juice is wonderful.

Never been in Hawaii but glad Hawaii is here ! The food is amazing. The taste, the smell takes you to the rich culture. I would like to try their whole menu.

Delicious and affordable! Really enjoyed their spam musubi, the rice within it was very well seasoned and it tasted super sweet! The plate we got with the teriyaki chicken was very good as well! Overall, it's worth your time!

Delicious Hawaiian food, with generous proportions. New and clean inside. They assemble your dish as your walk along the bar, starting with the base of rice and macaroni, then add meat. Everything I’ve tried has been really great!

I’ve always been attracted to your restaurant and food but never tried it before. This was in incredibly delicious dinner, definitely enough for two and I’ll stop for a couple sides of veggies, they are done to perfection and tasted awesome. I’ll be back! The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I highly recommend the “best seller” platter. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and everything on the plate was served hot. We had no complaints during our first visit. In my opinion, the food was even better than Hawaiian Bros. We’re glad we have more options now.

One of my new favorite places. Hawaiian Bros is great, but this has more unique tastes and textures and sauces. I usually drink water or unsweet Tea, but the Guava drink was a perfect compliment to the food. Zen was friendly and cared about my experience. Y'all have earned a repeat customer.

This place is Consistent every time I come here nice guys and women who work here especially the tall guy great service I will be back daily!!!!!! I don’t usually leave reviews but I’ve had some not-so-great experiences here in the past, but on the afternoon of Weds. 9/24 I was given the BEST service by the two super nice guys who were working behind the counter. Very friendly and helpful. Thanks guys!

My wife and I have enjoyed the food, portions, and amazing service here. Jasmine is a very hard worker and seems to inspire her team to follow in kind. Wish the seating were more comfortable, but we usually take this to go. Highly recommended!

When I lived in California for a few months, I went to a place called l&l Hawaiian BBQ. They always gave out large portions and the food was delicious. I really miss that place so I tried to come here in order to find that. I was pleasantly surprised how nice and inviting the entire building was. It's a very spacious room and feels very tropical. The staff is friendly and greets you when you walk in. While my order was being taken, I miss heard the woman behind the counter and she accidentally gave me meat that I could not eat. She was surprisingly very kind and started the plate over with the correct meats that I wanted. And that wasn't even half of it. The drink is delicious as well I highly suggest it. It tastes to me like a Sunny delight with a delicious guava background, but not the stinging sensation or the Tang that it Sunny D usually gives. The meats for fall off the bone and very juicy. The rice was well cooked and fluffy, and the macaroni salad was very flavorful. The portions were really great for the price. This meal is going to definitely feed two people or more. I'll definitely be coming back and bringing more family with me. Aloha! 🌺

I heard of the grand opening, I live close by, so I drove by it all the time and am always interested in trying out the yummy food. Finally, my long wait for the actual chance had finally arrived, very friendly staff, I got to try their yummy food, delicious macaroni salad, and rice with steak and chicken katsu. It was delicious 😋 and I also had spam musubi, so good! I finished everything and will definitely come back to try out everything on the menu! I'm so happy that it's so convenient for me. 😃

The staff was awesome, so helpful! I believe the gentleman helping us was probably the manager because he was very generous with servings and gave us some extra stuff. They checked up on us regularly and asked if we needed anything, greatly appreciated. For our family I have to say when everyone likes and agrees the food was good, IT'S A HIT! That rarely happens with our clan. The service was top notch and food was GREAT! Needles to say we found our new spot! Thank you!

Enjoyed my meal, for the most part. The sauce is a bit salty, but that's expected with a soy-based sauce. I don't eat much pork, but wanted to try it. It was so tender and flavorful!!! The steak was flavorful but a little on the tough side. Mac salad was just basic Mac salad. I need to go back to my birth state (HI) so I can have a better reference of comparison. I was roughly 6-yrs old when we moved, and I simply don't remember the taste of the food. 😕 My only reference is Chinese food, and that's what all Hawaiian foods from TX have reminded me of. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Great customer service!!!

Please for the Love of God address the hard rice situation. There’s no reason the rice taste like I’m bitting into a rock. Every location I’ve been to, I’ve tried 4 so far and the issue with rice seems universal. Figure out how to keep the rice soft.

We ordered our food to-go from Mo’Bettahs. The food was good—nothing I’d rave about or go out of my way to recommend, but definitely edible and on the healthier side. Portion sizes were solid for the price, which was a plus. Just a heads up: I believe you only get one sauce per meal, and any extras cost extra. The restaurant was pretty empty when we stopped in and it looked clean. It was also nice seeing someone cooking meats fresh on the grill. Overall, it’s a decent option if you want something better than greasy fast food. Not something I’d eat every day, but great for grabbing lunch while working.

I was so excited to try this place because my family loves Hawaiian food and even though the kālua pig was excellent, the person taking my order had to be corrected on my choice often because he wouldn’t remember what I just told him, the brown rice smelled rotten and the chicken was too fatty. My husbands Katy’s chicken was cold inside at certain points. I hope the place fixes things and makes it because it looks beautiful and seems pretty clean but I was very disappointed. ☹️

I come here all the time & still do. I love the food it’s amazing & the staff members are great. Not sure what’s been going on but in the past two months I’ve been having issues with never having the katsu chicken ready & having to wait extra long for them to cook a new batch, and also recently the portion sizes have been dramatically cut, maybe they have something against me who knows.
