I had a wonderful experience here. It was my first time and I’m definitely going back. I ordered the baleadas with egg, cheese, avocado & Sourcream. Outstanding! Very pleasant service. 5 stars!
The perfect thing for a rainy Sunday evening!! Shrimp was great, carne asada was great— and I had never had a baleada before but now I want another one.

Went there before our dance class at the studio a few doors down. Lovely cheerful service and tasty hearty food. We got some baleadas (my favorite), chicharron, savory tamales, and a healthy serving of the best guacamole I've had in a long time. Also a shoutout to some perfectly crispy fried yucca. A note that this is Honduran food, don't expect Quesedillas and Fajitas--but what you get is super satisfying. We will be back!
Hidden gem. We got the chorizo tacos and the bean/cheese popusas. It was all very yummy. Can’t wait to go back and tryout more of the menu.
Delicious! My kids devoured their breakfast platter and my fried chicken served over cooked green bananas had perfection of flavors.
$23 (with 20% tip) for two BIG bellied boys puts this place in my Top 3 Cheapest Charlottesville category. The horchata was great, if slightly sweet. The pupusas (my vegan rendition included cabbage, and avocado) were well flavored, with the shining element being the cabbage, peppered and not vinegary, a gem in our world. The atmosphere was odd, with two tvs blaring for my attention, to the point that I found myself lost in my conversation turning back to them. Overall, great price, unique food, and an ~interesting~ atmosphere.
The restaurant is clean, the service is friendly, and the food was authentic and delicious. Will definitely be coming here more often.

Authentic homemade Central American food! Homemade flour and or corn tortillas! Absolutely amazing! My little Central American heart is so happy to have found this restaurant! Highly recommend the pupusas and the tamales and the tortillas... yummy!!!

Phenomenal. Tacos dorados the best I’ve ever had. Restaurant is super clean, staff is super friendly.
Not my favorite place to eat but it had good food
Overall, this place was a good intro to Honduran cuisine. Great customer service, clean dining area, and good food. Our chicken was a bit dry and the rolled tacos were slightly overcooked but other than that, the food was tasty!
Will not go back. Maybe other dishes are fine but the Ciruelo special was recommended by the server, the most expensive dish on the menu but was pretty bad...
First time in my life that I didn’t finish or save my restaurant food for later. Ordered pickup, was told it would be 20 minutes. After waiting an hour, got my food. Ordered the special. The “sausage” was a hot dog. The chicken was dry and thin. The “steak” was some thin burnt beef. The rice tasted like microwave rice. This is clearly a hang out spot for their community, and if you’re not one of them, expect to be treated poorly.
Terrible. No taste at all. Patrons please not the good reviews are from last year when a great restaurant was @ the address. Not true to any type of lantino food . Uggh
