The soup was super salty but otherwise we had a lovely meal. Our server Cristina was amazing! She was all over the place as it was very busy but she constantly checked in on us, refilled drinks, and was just overall pleasant.

Had a great lunch catching up with family. James was our waiter he was amazing!! Making sure our teas and drinks were always full. Getting our appetizers and all of our food in a timely manner!! There was 17 of us there so I’m sure we were a handful!! But James and his crew took excellent care of us!! Also I have not eaten at Denny’s in years and going back the food was AMAZING!! I’ll be stopping by again soon!!

Theres is always great food.

It was really full but the weight was not that long approximately 20 minutes. Once we receded our server she was awesome. And the food came out relatively quickly not a really long wait. We tried some of their seasonal breakfast options for the fall and they were amazing!!! I usually do not go to Dennys. But definitely will come back to try for dinner.

We stopped in for breakfast today and i had to do review because they did such a wonderful job today. Let me just start with overall clean dining room, seated promptly and given drinks fast. Our food was fast and perfectly cooked. The service was outstanding. Will be going back soon!!!!

Server was very nice, and attentive, but not intrusive. It was quite on a Sunday at 4, so it's a good place for an early dinner. Delicious zesty nachos. Lots of gluten free options. Dennys is a classic for me and a fan favorite for my kids, who love the birthday cake pancakes.

I very much enjoyed my experience at this Denny's location. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. Food quality was good and the order accuracy was perfect. I have been to this Denny’s with my sister several times and every time the food in the service are excellent. We just had the most delicious salmon dinner ever. A start comparison to all the Denny’s in Modesto, which are really really bad. Good job to all the staff and especially the cooks at the Merced Denny’s. Thank you.

My family and I a group of 12 stopped by for late dinner. From walking in, we felt welcomed. Every single worker there smiled and greeted us. Our server Ailin was just amazing. The best service hands down. Oh, and did I mention our food was delicious.

Exceeded all reasonable expectations. The chicken fried steak was juicy with a crispy outside; just enough salt without too much. The sauteed veggies were fully cooked yet firm, with perfect browning that picked up just the right amount of pan seasoning. The staff were fast and friendly. It's not an exaggeration to say it was the finest Denny's experience I've had in half a century of being alive. Second place doesn't come close. This is the Denny's all other franchises aspire to be.

I recently went last night on Valentine's day with my 4 children and they were packed! The hostess was very polite she continuously kept asking everyone did they check in just to make sure she didn't miss anyone. She asked if we wanted a booth with a smaller table or if I wanted to wait longer so she was very attentive to our needs. I had to change my to infants and they had a changing table in both the men's and women's restroom and the reason I know this is because I accidentally went into the men's restroom thinking it was a unisex restroom I didn't read the sign I was too focused on my baby! LOL! Both the bathrooms were very clean and very presentable. There's a lot of seating space in the resturant and tables that can be combined for larger parties and that's where I sat in the very back I carefully watched all the staff and every one of them were smiling they were friendly to one another they were polite to the Cooks in the back and they were very attentive and friendly to the needs of their customers we placed our order right away and our food took no more than 15 minutes to wait for the food was large portions even the kids food where large portions. The tables and the floor was really clean.. even the busser he was on top of it.. each table that was vacant he quickly started cleaning it and sweeping for the next customer. There are high chairs and booster seats for the kids there is also a toy vending machine for the kids to play and candy machines. My family had a great experience and the prices were excellent and the food was really good staff is polite quick and attentive..I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with a large family and to all my friends and I will surely go again great job Denny's!

Very clean, nice employees and the food was very good. I ordered the $10 slam that has pretty much everything on it. 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and hash browns. I wanted to change the sausage for a piece of toast but they wouldn't do that, so i just ordered a piece on the side. I knew it was way more than i could eat but for ten dollars i got all the food i wanted. I actually took half my order and put it in a to go box then when i was done eating i gave it to a lady who was outside when i walked in. She was very appreciative. She didn't ask but she didn't need to see obviously needed a meal. I had no way to keep it fresh i was about to get on the freeway for a long drive so why not share what i had with someone who was having a hard time. There are so many homeless these days and it's easy to think it's their fault but we can't judge that. We have not walked in their shoes. If everyone could be kind to one another this world would be a much better place for us all to live on. Happy holidays to all.

Denny’s is always good and has a big menu for whatever your tastebuds desires. We got the breakfast plate and slam burger. We asked for jelly for the English muffin and ranch for the fries. They didn’t give us jelly and gave us a cup of mayo.

Went in after bowling at Bellevue Bowl. It was 1am and pretty mellow. Our party of six was immediately seated and our server was quick. The food was good, although someone had to have their steak sent back. But you’re eating at Denny’s right?? Good comfort food and prompt service for just over a 100 bucks for six people! In this economy that’s a win!

I love this Denny’s I’ve been going here with my family ever since I was little and the service is great. It takes some time to make the food but it turns out amazing. I love their T-Bone steak and the classic cheeseburger I get. The chicken tenders are amazing to. The fruits are fresh and taste great. This Denny's has been open for at lest 50 years and owned and operated by the original family. The staff must be treated like family because they work there for years. One of my school mates has worked since we graduated in 1978. The food quality and taste is exceptional. The staff go over and above to treat you like friends and family. Dear Merced Dennys, wow your service was amazing. It was a busy Sunday afternoon around 1145 when I walked in a line of people waiting outside. I walked to the cashier and right away was greeted with a smile by William and how can I help you. I stated that I had tried to place an order to go online and it failed. He gave me a menu and said I could sit at the counter to order. Once there the waitress Victoria greeted me with a I’ll be with you in one min, then asked if she could get me something to drink while I waited. Excellent service, excellent food, clean with no drama. Merced dennys has surprised me and impressed me. Sunday afternoon is a great crew working together to hammer out our food. I go to this Denny's fairly often and even though all experiences are different they do tend becoming the same. The service is best depending on the time of day. On weekends it will always be crowded in the morning and late afternoon. I would recommend for the best service to go either in the morning or evening on Wednesdays and on weekends to go around early noon. The waiters are always nice and will be satisfied only if you are. So far everything I've have ordered in the past has always satisfied me without any flaw in the way it made.

Price: Order 2x Salmon Dinner ($11,99), Prime rid cobb salad(14.59), omelets ($9.49), Cinnamon Roll Cake ( $5.59). Total including Tips: $75.00. 2. Food: The portion is good enough for us, considering that we did not have lunch and wait till 8Pm to have the dinner. The cinnamon pancake is delicious. 3. Service: The young lady is great!! Very attentive, and keep asking anything she can help, add water, coffee, clean table etc... This is a great service. 4. Atmosphere: Traditional Denney's setting, except for this one is clean, the table, floor, restaurant. We have a great dinner restaurant. 5. Location: It is very easy to access since it is just located near the highway exit. All in all, if I have a chance to pass there, I will definitely go again.

The staff is always friendly, the place is always clean, the food is always well made, I have been here a handful of times, and have yet to be disappointed. Best diner burgers around. 4 stars because, the staff lags on refills sometimes, understandable when it's busy, but, a couple of times (when not busy) I finished my meal, before I was able to get a refill.

11/15/23 upate.. Food was great. I added pics... It was my birthday and my son treated me to a salad. He had the same. Went there for that. Had our hearts set on a salad with chicken. Turned out the salad was $7 and the chicken was $3 extra. I thought a salad consisted of more than just lettuce, otherwise it's just lettuce. That's what it was. I was disappointed but the chicken was good. We ate it anyways because we are trying to lose weight. I gave it a three-star because there are a lot of other good things to eat there.

Not bad for a 24 hour Denny's. I was greeted promptly. The staff is courteous and warm. The dining area and restrooms were stocked and clean. I ordered food to go and it only took about 15 minutes. Food was fresh and I was sent with more than enough utensils and condiments to go. Still a great value! large breakfast for two was under $10!

Our youngest granddaughters top 3 places to eat. Plus our eldest grandson Rollin is a line cook.

Although the food and service were mostly fine, I can no longer say Dennys is the affordable option. With tip, we paid $65.00 for essentially two meals, two coffees and a child's meal. Needless to say, if I'm going to spend 65 on a meal, it won't be at Dennys. I'll choose a small business instead.

Waited an hour to be seated. I understand the large group we were(11) but the attendant kept telling me minutes of wait and ending up waiting longer. We could’ve gone to other restaurants if we were told longer waiting time. Then when we were seated, it took a while for them to take our order. It probably took us 2 hours to get to eat.

Food was ok ,when it gets busy the food may take longer to come out and food is cold or semi warm.

Dennys used to have good service but not anymore. These past couple of times that my family and I have went it has been pretty unpleasant the waitresses have been rude and not to friendly like we owe them something. Service is everything when eating out. The food is not that good either my fries came out stail a few times and there silverware is not clean either.

She also had a noticeable attitude that made us feel unwelcome. We felt treated unfairly compared to other tables around us who received regular attention. The woman working there was so irritated that she had to get up to serve us that there really was no point in being there. She was rude from the moment we walked in the door. Took 15 minutes just to come take our order. Got irritated when we asked for a towel to wipe up a sticky spill that was there when we sat down. Have eaten at a lot of Denny's in my lifetime. I would not have fed this food to my dog. Maybe just a coincidence but it didn't feel that way. The manager served us after that. The girl just sat across the room sending dirty looks our way. Hands down the worst Denny's I have ever been to. I sent my food back and chose to eat elsewhere. My family said their food was just okay. Would definitely not recommend this to anyone.

Completely forgot about my order. I waited over two hours to eat before my fast meanwhile everyone else got their order. I kept asking for an update but they would tell me it was on its way. Decided to cancel it. I order at 3am and left at 5am. I waited so much time.

Sat here for 30 minutes and noone took my order. Had to get my own menu. They took the orders from the tables next to me who all walked in 10+ minutes after I did. 5 waitresses walked passed me and offered stuff to 5 other tables all within 5' of me. And of course they all seem so busy its hard to flag them down. Im writing this review after several people walked in after me and already got their food. Manager even walked over to my table to make sure he collected the previous persons tip but nothing more. Definitely not interested in begging people to do their jobs so im going to pickup my money and meet a few friends and black bear diner instead.

When we was sitting down in the table we saw some roachs. When we told the waiter she just told us that roaches are normal to see at some restaurants.

I came here to work late night on my computer (like I usually do when in town) and I couldn’t connect to WiFi. I asked for assistance, the male manager with grey hair and glasses came over. He was showing me how it was working on his device explaining the basic steps of selecting WiFi and how the service portal pops up for him so there’s no problem. (The whole point was- this was not working for me, the portal wouldn’t pop up) so I replied “I hear you, respectfully, what I’m trying to explain is the portal doesn’t pop up for me” he walks away without saying a word, and so I asked as he walked away “you’re just going to walk away? I was just trying to tell you that the portal isn’t working” so which he replied “I was trynna show you but it’s cool” in a super hostile manner, then when I told the server how he was towards me and how it made me uncomfortable she apologized for him, and said she didn’t want to say anything because she may get in trouble by him…. So basically created a hostile environment for i don’t even know what reason…fragile ego? Super weird. I hope corporate reads this. You guys can do better than him in management… super weird

My last take out order, I ordered a sirloin steak breakfast/ medium steak , over easy eggs, red potatoes with an extra english muffin. What I received was a bloody rare steak, and 1 english muffin, 1 egg, and no potatoes. When I called to complain the Denny’s manager said if I drive back to their establishment they will cook the steak longer… My response was you have just shown me how little you value your customers, after you received my money.

Worst visit EVER. First... NOT so handicap accessible. The table met the chair arms. My daughter couldn't reach her food. Second I received absolutely the coldest Hamburger I have ever seen served. Even in my childhood Mac Donald's burgers were warmer than my $10.00 version Denny's served me Tonight. My fries were also freezing when served mentioned that to the wait staff who done nothing just walked away. Leaving trash and the dirty silver on the table. Ok so finally getting the manager attention. She promised hot food and a discount. I asked for it to be fixed to go as I wasn't allowed to have dinner with my family. Ok so I knew the burger would be somewhat cool as I arrived home. What I didn't expect is the burger was not what I ordered . It looked as though some old half eaten burger was put in a bun then a box and what ever was on go back plates got RAKED INTO THE BOX . IT LOOKS DISGUSTING And I'm appalled. And I'm certainly pissed I was charged a copper Penny. I will be calling coporate first thing in the Am. Ruined my dinner withy kid who's been fighting for her life. Today WAS her first outing since last Xmas. Ruined!!!!!!

It was horrible, the chocolate chip pancakes were so burnt, the second I lifted the container the smell of burnt food was overwhelming. I tried to eat them but couldn't, how does one burn chocolate chips? The ham & hashbrowms were so burnt, they weren't eaten. My breakfast ticket was $56 & hardly any of it was eaten.

Coffee was cold. I asked for my tbone steak to be cooked medium and I got it cooked well done. It was so tough I couldn't chew it. The mashed potatoes was watery with clumps of the mashed potato mix in it. It was pathetic. My sweet tea was delicious. They server was nice and the place wasn't crowded. 3.99 per drink is crazy!!!

The staff put me in the seat behind two screaming children. They shouted out all the way. I can't enjoy my dinner. The steak and chicken were terrible there. This was my first time I walked into Denny's, and will be my last time as well.

Wow. I'll keep my personal feelings about this place to myself and just state the facts: Customer service 3 out 5 stars. We didn't get our refills until we were almost done with our food. We asked for refills, they took our glasses, and they came back way to late. Utensils: 0 out 5 stars. All the utensils brought to us were dirty and some still had food on them. They brought us plastic utensils so that was good. Plate #1: 4 out 5 stars. I ordered a double avocado cheeseburger with mushrooms. The meat needed more seasoning and the burger did not have mushrooms. Plate #2: 0 out of 5 stars. The chicken was served raw. Yes raw chicken. Please Google what can happen when someone eats raw chicken. Luckily my wife noticed and she didn't eat it.
