I wish I had taken pictures of my lunch! (It was very pretty.) I got the southwest chicken taco and the Atlantic salmon taco. I was skeptical of the cucumber and feta on the salmon taco, but it was really refreshing! I thought the two tacos plus chips & salsa deal was a good value, especially with how stuffed the tacos were. The restaurant itself was nice and clean, and it was a great day to sit outside on the patio. The service was a little slow, but the food and atmosphere offset that.

The first time ordering from Uber from this location and restaurant they went above and beyond they included free fried jalapenos because it was taken a while so I would like to say thank you to Evelyn V

One of the best places I have been to in the Mesquite Area! Staff was so nice and had our food out on time. Might I mention we had a pretty big crowd with us. If you're looking for great margaritas!! I’m not coming back. I’ve come to this location a lot in the past year and I used to love it but I’m done. Ps don't hire kids to run the kitchen have someone with experience. McDonald’s would’ve been a faster and better option Update: came back and had a really pleasant experience my kids always love it here

Okay so let me start out by saying it might be a little expensive BUT WELL WORTH YOUR MONEY!!! I have been here twice, two days straight. The food is very delicious and everything is fresh, handmade when you order!!!! I tried their JC's Classic Burger it was delicious 100% real beef the veggies were fresh!!!! I had the curly fries with the JC's sauce and ranch it is very very good. The ranch is homemade!!!! My brother had the BBQ burger he said it was one of the best burgers he had in a very long time. My mom had a spinach salmon salad she said the salmon was seasoned great she would of loved more veggies and dressing. Their Chilli is very spicy to me ( I can't eat spicy food) but the flavor was amazing!!! The Queso and chips are very delicious! The chicken club sandwich is delicious it was a grilled piece of chicken ( I would of loved a bigger piece of chicken) on a brioche bun ( nice buttery and soft). The onion rings are very good nice crunch tender onion made from scratch and to order. I would love if they did combos but that won't deter me from eating there at all!!!!! You get what you pay for if it's to expensive for you maybe try Burger King or McDonald's and wonder what you really are eating!!! I will be back!!! Burger was pretty much burnt to a crisp. Definitely well done, which I don't like, but at least they don't include mayonnaise on the bun. They come dry unless otherwise specified which I liked.

The food was great. We ordered so much - fried pickles, cheesy fries, fried jalapenos, and then burgers - and it was all so good. We had no idea that the servings would be so full and plenty. Usually you order some fried pickles and get a small appetizer serving. Not at this place - we got a plate full! Great, great, great. Everything was so good. And Toddzilla is crazy cool. My son loves to find us new places to eat (not fast food) and this time it was in Mesquite. It was last Sunday & I wanted a GOOD burger (I don't eat them often). He found this place and placed the order on his app and it was delivered very quickly. I told him to put everything but onions on my burger and boy was it good! Mayo, mustard, ketchup, lettuce & tomato. Broiled, not cooked on a plain grill - oh that taste! The bun was fresh and moist, not soggy. I ordered sweet potato fries and they were so delish. I wish they would have been cooked just a little longer but they were very good. Thicker than I usually get, nice change. My son ordered curly fries which he loved and his burger was on Texas Toast, yum. He loved the ease to order on the delivery app, the quickness of the delivery & then to get a broiled hamburger patty on a super fresh bun. We'll definitely be ordering from here again!

As a frequent customer there I've tried about everything but there food challenge which looks delicious. It has a small outside patio where live music is played and you can eat at. The food for its price is what you expect portion wise and it is very very tasty. The offer a wide variety of burgers and tacos aswell as salads and chicken. A small little bar where everyone there knows everyone and makes you feel welcome. Staff overall is very respectful and friendly and always has a smile. Only bad remark goes to the parking honestly if your in the area stop by JCs and enjoy a meal.

Good food. I ordered the Southwestern Chicken tacos and they were delicious. Bigger than I expected too. Hubby ordered the Toddzilla. It was a big burger, but it wasn't unmanageable like some of those crazy food challenges lol. He said the burger was fantastic, ordered with all the toppings and bacon. Nice clean space and the owner was courteous. All employees had masks and the kitchen staff had gloves. Will be back!

Burger I ordered sounded good from what was in it, but it the flavor didn’t really jump out at me when I dug in. Can’t remember the name. It was the number 4. Onion rings were good, I think they could have used more of the seasoning but I like them that way.

I'm glad the place wasn't too crowded each visit. The burgers are tasty and they usually get my orders right. The fries are fresh,hot and subtle spiced.

We have been going to JCs for a while now, so we don't have any major complaints. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a burger place with a bar in it. To be honest, having the bar in there is kind of annoying - if you are dining in and depending on what day it is, the people at the bar (customers) are just obnoxious. It seems like the staff has a hard time controlling the drunkards. That's one reason we stopped dining in on the weekends. The food is good in a sense that while you're getting a burger, they aren't greaseballs, but not dry. They changed from seasoned fries to non seasoned now, so that was disappointing. But they do have sweet potato fries. The buns they use, are pretty greasy, it's like they put butter all over the tops of them, im not too sure. My husband has completed the Todzilla challenge several times. it's really not that much food, and not worth the cost. Prices are little up there for my taste, especially when nothing comes as a "meal". Everything is separate, so it adds up fast. Our last to-go order was $41, for two people - one double burger and fry, and a chicken salad, one drink. When we both get burgers, it's the same price - with no drinks. They have always been pretty quick to get orders out. I have received two to-go orders that were wrong, but I think it's because of the way they were input into the system or someone just moving too fast. Both times, my double meat cheeseburger only had one patty on it. Overall, we haven't had any major issues. My complaints and preferences are really just normal stuff you'd find anywhere.

I used to absolutely LOVE jcs burgers and was psyched when I heard there was one near me as two or three I used to go to all the time had closed years ago. Heres the thing, they have lost all the things I used to like about JC's unfortunately and replaced them with a bar which is neat and all but I don't need that. I miss the smash burgers and being able to customize my toppings easily it just isn't the same plus for two single cheeseburgers one fry and one onion ring it came out to 38 dollars, that's about as premium as it gets and it didn't used to be so expensive plus the onion rings are totally different than they used to be. All that said I will probably go back once in a while but it can't be as often as used to with all of the up charges for a basic burger 😔

Game here for the gluten free options, which are perfect for my daughter that has to have gluten free. This place is deep in the neighborhood area of Mesquite, but I found that service was good, burgers were fine, and the parking was easy. One of the flavors of drinks were out on my visit, and the menu's have become a little tattered from age and use, but no big deal. Be warned here that sides do not come with adult burgers, so plan on spending $12-$15 per person, or so. Not bad, but more pricy than most similar options in this area.

Burger was good but very greasy. Fries were meh, clearly frozen and not fresh. Ordered onion rings and I don’t know if this was a one off but they were unfortunately terrible. No seasoning whatsoever, and a very light color not golden brown like you’d expect. Undercooked maybe? They were crunchy but it was like eating crunchy air. I will go back to try other things on their menu. Really cute place and service was very welcoming and friendly.

Great food, friendly staff. They have alcohol if you prefer, usually no wait on weekdays. Fast service. If you can eat a "toddzilla", a one and half pound of cheese-slathered burger, must be eaten in 15 minutes - your picture will be taken and posted on the Toddzilla Challenge wall. For me, it is a bit pricey for the amount that you get. I always get my food with sweet potato fries, I wish they would be generous with that to compensate... it would be better. Restroom was clean, plenty of seating, the restaurant is very clean as well. All you can eat sliced sweet pickles and spicy pickles to put on your burger. Self serve fountain drinks and condiments.

I had a bacon blue cheese burger with queso fries. My friend had a classic bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. The burger was quality with attention paid to every layer. However, I paid a little over $20 each for a burger, side and a drink. For that kind of price I would have expected more than a quarter pounder patty. Also the queso fries were just OK. On the plus side the onion rings were obviously hand battered. So to sum things up, I liked it, but for the price, I wasn't impressed.

Waitress was rude. Also ordered a burger that cost $10, it didn't say not did she tell me it did not come with fries. The burger was OK, but it was definitely not worth $10.

It wasn't busy at all and it seemed like food took a long time to come out. They got things mixed up during plating and gave me my boyfriend's burger with my onion rings and gave him my burger with his fries. Onion rings were good, but burger was thick, dense, and dry, bun got soggy quick too.

The worker's were friendly and helpful about how their menu worked. I ordered two sliders, the JC original and a mushroom swiss, and shared some sweet potato fries with my dad. The sliders presented nicely but the patties were cooked to where they had no juice and little if any flavor, the lettuce was fresh but basic shredded stuff. To me the fries were the highlight of the meal. My dad's burger was also quite bland. It was an ok experience but not my place of choice for burgers.

Place was a cool environment, definitely a good place to take the kiddies, the food was pricey but very good!

A little disappointed, I used to eat at the Plano and Addison locations but it's been awhile. The burger patty is very thin, not much there or flavor. The onion rings were very bland, no flavor. The place was nice and clean, staff was fine. I'm just disappointed in the portion size considering the price. There are much better and bigger burgers around.

Workers friendly but service was slow. The booth was dirty and we had to wipe crumbs off before sitting. Food was mediocre. Grilled chicken sandwich was not very good at all. Group seemed to be satisfied with their burgers, but did note for the price it wasn’t worth it.

I am usually pretty easily pleased but this place disappointed me. The cabinets and doors doors in the dining area were dirty yesterday, the tables were sticky and I checked several before I sat down.. I ordered a Burger bowl with a side salad and a unsweet tea and my buddy ordered a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and large drink And the bill was $33. It was a single Patty Burger and a single Piece of chicken sandwich the Burger was just OK.. it was dry and unimpressive. It was definitely not worth the money and Unless they make some major changes I would not recommend this place. Burgers should be pretty simple and it's not hard to make them delicious but these were just below board and overpriced and the place wasn't anywhere close to clean

Being a chef. I was hyped to try the burger & "spicy curly fries". Nothing special about a pressed 4 oz patty shoved onto a bun. Absolutely nothing nice about over loaded salty & over seasoned "compensation for spicy seasoning" curly fries. Not to mention the price hike is a big variable. When I dine out. I want the experience of being WOW, that was good, worth it and great service. Except JC only cares about his "friends" supporting his business. So he rushes everything else in turn. I didn't ask for my money back. Just expected more!! Dang I dislike being taken for. The price is never a factor when the food is right. Cool set up, but I watched a gentleman take his family with a handful of 20s and when he has to hand all 7 of them over for 5 people. I know that hurt!! The market price is up, but when you have a restaurant, the price is down. People expect a lot for hard earned money. To watch that guy hand of $140 was painful. Bc he didn't expect that. Especially for some burgers with fries that come together. Really tired of restaurants doing this to capitalize on profit. No burger out there cost more than $4 bucks to make with any ingredient you factor.

We have been wanting to try this place. We decided to stop here for dinner last night. Seemed pretty clean. Only downfall on the cleanliness is them sticky tables. I wiped our table down. My husband did it again. Still super sticky. Friendly staff. Order was good. On point. Received our food, one plate at a time. All was hot n fresh. The classic burger a little blah. Fries were great. Chocolate milkshake tasted like it's been in a box. Cardboard taste to it. But then the yelling and super loud convos in front of the registers were present.. Not sure if they were customers or employees. But they were ridiculously loud. Pretty much what you'd hear at a bar. Talking about alcohol, cocaine, just too much info to be hollering out in a family type restaurant. Mind you we had our 5 year old grandson with us. I get it people have convos but seriously that loud amongst employees?! I'm guessing they were employees. They were all in the same color clothes as the ones behind the registers. Even though the food was ok. This will be a no for us. Not again. Too our tummys hurt today. We're thinking from the milkshake. That's the only thing that tasted funky to us. We didn't finish it but we all did have it

The Toddzilla Challenge Is a lie JC Burger Bar was a complete letdown. I went there for my birthday specifically to take on the "Toddzilla Challenge"—only to find out after finishing it that the challenge no longer exists. A total of four of us ordered it, and at no point did the cashier or waitress inform us that the challenge was discontinued. The Toddzilla is still on the menu, and there’s even a wall dedicated to past winners, making it seem like the challenge was still active. So, we did what any competitive eater would do—we finished every last bite, expecting to earn our place on the wall and a commemorative t-shirt. Instead, we were met with a shrug and told, "Oh yeah, that challenge isn’t a thing anymore." Talk about false advertising! The biggest issue? We specifically ordered four massive $22 burgers designed not to be finished, under the assumption we were taking on a legit challenge. If the staff had simply told us beforehand, we might have reconsidered. But nope—we were left in the dark. As for the food? It was... meh. The Toddzilla is just three beef patties with three slices of cheese—no sauce, no toppings, nothing. Just dry meat and bread. Fortunately, we asked for mayo, which helped a little, but without ketchup, mustard, pickles, or onions, it was a struggle to get through. Honestly, I think this place only gets good ratings because it’s a bar. And let’s be real—when alcohol is involved, food tends to get rated better than it actually is. If you're looking for a good burger, there are far better spots out there. Huge disappointment.

Like getting ignored? This is the place for you! Went in for a quick bite on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. There was a bottleneck at the register and we grabbed seats at the bar. After they took care of their line, no one looked at us, no one greeted us and we sat there for 20 minutes after said line was gone. They had a few tables full and five employees. Zero attention to us at all, so we left and won't be back. Tried to support a local business, but now we're at Jack in the Box. This is an update as of 11/5/23. Former review: Got our order wrong, was overpriced on the sides, nothing special to report about their burgers.

The worst eating out experience I've had in a while. Food was cold and the guy that delivered my food put his bare hands on top of my bun as he sat it down on the table. I thought the burgers would come with LTO, but did not. No mustard or mayonnaise was asked and it was definitely overpriced for what you received. I wanted to give this place a shot, but was sooo disappointed.

Food used to be good. Prices are exorbitant. Atmosphere has gone way down hill. Went in for a quiet bite and a beverage to watch the MAVs game. Staff was attentive, but allowed two individuals to come in the establishment and solicit each patron on whether they wanted to buy popcorn from a filthy plastic bag. Said individuals had an attitude when they were politely told no thank you, after they interrupted my meal. My no thank you was met with a "would you like to make a donation?" Which required additional.unwantwd interaction. I found myself wondering why the staff would allow soliciting, and if they realized this would drive patrons like me away. My conclusion was that JC Burger Bar favors solicitors competing with their business/bothering diners, rather than paying customers. I've crossed JCs Burger bar off my list of potential dinner spots. I prefer to eat quietly and not be targeted by rude solicitors.

My girls and I were excited to try this place and it was an absolute disappointment. Fried pickles were extremely salty and the entire bottom of the plate was full of grease. I ordered a turkey burger and it was the worst thing I have ever had. We were hoping this would be our go to but sadly never again.

Simple things like Mayo & ketchup! And the fact that door dash gave a credit of $1.90 for no lunch.

I have always been a customer of JC since they opened. They have completely changed their menu and the cheese/queso fries that use to be so good are now just shredded cheese and no longer worth ordering. Such a shame to see a restaurant that use to be good now not worth ordering from. Sadly this was my last order from this once gem.

You guys got rid of curly fries. Will never be back.

My whole family made the trip there to do the Toddzilla Challenge to celebrate my husband's birthday. We ordered 4 of them assuming that it was still a thing. We didn't bother asking about it since it was still on the menu and on the wall. We all finished it went up to inform the waitress and to get our photos taken and get the shirt only to be informed they don't do it anymore. If we knew that prior to ordering we wouldn't have wasted the money. Stay clear so not worth the money, staff rude and full of drunks. No wonder the food is not that great nobody that actually eats there can taste the food. Wish I could rate them 0 stars!!!

Overpriced! Spent $55 on 4 burgers, 2 cheese fries and 4 dtinks. Waited more than 20 minutes on our food. I got the Juarez burger and it had 1 tiny hard slice of avacado and a dry bun. Guess they ran out of cilantro aioli and sweet tea. Bottom line, not impressed. Plenty of better cheaper burgers out there.

First and last time here! Milkshake looked like chocolate milk! Had to eat cold burgers due to not being given my fries with my order! No manager or supervisor on site! Was told that the new cooks refused to make my fries that were mistakenly not on my order by the person taking my order. This place needs so much work!

The lady that took my order tonight was amazing!! It was sad that the kitchen was very slow. There was hardly any people in the establishment but a single burger took 35 minutes- it wasn’t super hot. I had to get fries re cooked due to hardness and temperature. I got to my car to take a bite because I was super excited due to the reviews- to get a long gray hair right in the middle of my burger- no one in the kitchen had long gray hair. The cook was walking through the kitchen eating while preparing food. I’m not too sure I’ll be back which is very unfortunate. 20.00 wasted.

I had high hopes for JC’s Burger Bar in Mesquite, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The food was underwhelming at best—my burger lacked flavor, the bun was dry, and the toppings seemed like an afterthought. For the price, I expected something far better than a fast-food-quality meal dressed up as gourmet. The fries were just average, bordering on soggy, and everything felt a bit overpriced considering the quality. You’re essentially paying premium prices for a very mediocre experience. There are far better burger spots in the area that offer better taste and value. Go to Griff’s or Whataburger instead. Disappointed and unlikely to return.

Had really high hopes and was completely let down. My burger had no flavor whatsoever, I ordered the nooner burger the egg was very over cooked. I also ordered the ultimate cheese fries and they were horrible, fries barely had any cheese on them, they give you an half filled cup of ranch and definitely not worth the $10. Will definitely not be going back. Wish I could just get a refund, as the food is not worth the price at all. The only thing good was the Dr Pepper 🥴
