A beautiful location on the intracoastal by the Black Point Marina. A somewhat rustic restaurant with a seafood centric menu. Great views and laid back tropical atmosphere. The food is surprisingly very good for a restaurant like this, even their steaks and the prices aren’t crazy. They have good selection of cocktails at reasonable prices. A fun place to hang out with friends, or a romantic date, and have a good time.
I really enjoyed my experience at the Black Point Ocean Grill. This location is perfect for any occasion and is reasonably priced. Willy was our server and provided excellent customer service. We had a large group so we sat outside. We were able to enjoy the breeze from being so close to the water so it was enjoyable. The scene was picturesque and I could see myself enjoying a romantic date night there. My party included children and adults and everyone was able to find something on the menu to enjoy. I would definitely return, especially because of Willy and his attention to detail and patience. There were a lot of menu options and we ordered a number of different dishes. Everyone in my party, young and old enjoyed what they ordered. I can’t wait to visit during my next vacation to South Florida!
We really enjoyed our time here , the view was very enjoyable and the food was good ; overall relaxing - we will be visiting again .
Excellent, delicious food, and great atmosphere. Great place for lunch or dinner. Seat yourself and be prepared to wait but the wait is worth it! My friend has taken me here twice and never disappointed even if it rains and it rained off an on Saturday around noon time. We were lucky to get good seats near the dock but still covered by the roof. I have photos of the menu but not of my actual meal. I had the beer battered cod and it was so flaky and crunchy but not over cooked in any way. Perfection! I can still taste even though I’m back home in Wichita now. There’s nothing in Kansas to compare to this place. If you find yourself in Miami or Homestead area go find this place, you won’t be disappointed. Great music too, classic rock. There’s a bar and some tvs but they’re not in your face. A great place to enjoy lunch or dinner with friends and or family.
Best staff , best service , best food with the chilliest vibe ! Plus the artichoke dip is amazing ! Shoutout to Andre for being the greatest server 🙏🏽
Andrew was by far the best server Ive ever had the fish was fresh and the customer service was amazing 🩷 10/10 recommend
I was a bit skeptical of going there because of the comments about how long food takes. I am glad we gave it a shot. We had fried calamari, cracked conch, and conch fritters. Everything was great, the calamari and cracked conch were excellent. The conch fritters were good but not as great as the others. Service was super fast. I wish I would have caught the name of our server, he was great. Food came very fast and he was very attentive.
It's always a good time at Black Point; the drinks are great and the seafood is fresh.
Went with the kids on a cold day for lunch. Food and service was great! Andre was the best. Will be returning.
Nice ambiance and good food...... Review.....place was packed the margarita I asked was one of the worst I have tasted.....but then again drinks are not all in a review......I ordered the Tuna ponsu and it was pretty good....the wings with the mango habanero sauce was really good and my spouses hamburger was pretty good....
Great food, friendly service. Cannot say one bad thing about the place. Stopped in by chance and glad we did. The wait time was less than 20 minutes. I wouldn't mind taking the drive from Broward to dine here again. Kids raved about the bacon cheeseburger, so that says a lot, especially for picky eaters. Can't go wrong. Food was tasty, especially their black beans and blackened mahi tacos.
This is a favorite hang out spot for us... the atmosphere is warm, inviting, friendly, and local. The service is great and so is the food. The seafood and fish are always fresh and they have a really good menu with daily specials. If you haven’t been here before, you should definitely try it out. They also have a full bar and live music 😎
I loved this spot, service was good service excellent , the food was delicious. Andrew took very good care of us🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
We road by the marina and decided to stop in at the restaurant. So glad we did! Suzanne is AMAZING!!!! The food is awesome. We tried the shrimp quesadillas, which are loaded with shrimp, cheese, bacon, and onions. I also ordered the shrimp tostones! Awesome as well. They also have thee best crispy fries and key lime pie. You won't be disappointed!
This is my go to place when I want to enjoy a good brunch. Love the fish dip, it is amazing. The lollipop lamb chops are soon good. The vibe is here has always been very welcoming and fun. I do miss the live band. They were good. This a an excellent place to go and relax and have some good food. I love being out by the water. Oh forgot to mention the string beans which was to my surprise very good.
Phun and Dre were great. Lots of laughs. The food was excellent. Will definitely come back!
Always a nice experience to come here, beautiful waterfront view, plenty of seating and always something special to offer on drinks and food. Hands down on the smoked fish dip, second time trying it and is the best app in the menu I think, beautiful presentation (ask for Tabasco and extra crackers 👌🏻) Thanks to our server Will for suggesting the tostones, those were fuego too. Favorite entrees: the blackened dolphin tacos and the crunchy grouper sandwich!! Fresh and so tasty. Oh and the beers were perfectly chilled 🍺🍋! Thank you!!
I had devil on horseback bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp I’ve been goin out for a while I’ve never had a such an amazing customer service experience his name was Andre I would definitely recommend to family & friends off his customer service alone 👌🏽
Shrimp Po Boy was it for me, also noted is their chicken fingers and fries. We also got a side of their pasta just to try it. It’s an outside bar and a marina. It’s pretty busy in the weekends but they’re really quick and getting you in and situated. Seriously good food, would go again. A bit of a drive from Miami but it’s not too bad. Pretty easy to find once you park.
This was my first time there...I had heard so much about this place and they did not disappoint. The waitstaff was friendly and prompt. I had to try their famous Key Lime Pie. I was going to get it to go, but I changed my mind and ate it there...lol...omg...it was sweet and tangy, just the right flavor, that makes your mouth water with each bite....definitely a do over...the crack conch was delicious, and the tangy sauce set it off...compliments to kitchen Manager who made the Key lime pie...
A lovely place, I personally like the venue and the massive parking. Went here with a friend, we ordered calamari and two orders of fish and chips. Service was okay but the food made up for it. Best fish and chips I had in a while , really good food. Calamari was good as well. Both had good portions for their price. We orders drinks too, the bucket was good and the margaritas as well. Overall a good down to earth spot. Will come back here again.
Greta place to have lunch, dine or juts eat and hangout. Been coming here for many years. Juts made time to review this place today. Will strongly recommend. Thank you to all the employees and owner ship for making this possible. Vanessa was my server today. To the old crew that has attended me in the past I appreciate and apologize for not mentioning any of you in the past. Kind Regards and than you.!!!
Been a long time customer, and visiting from out of town and glad to say this restaurant is still amazing. Great staff, great atmosphere, and amazing food! I recommend the fried calamari, blackened dolphin, ahi tuna, and great french fries. I was truly thrilled by how well the blackened mahi mahi was seasoned and cooked! Locals pair most meals with a glass of sweet tea, but for the partying type buckets of Corona are a great deal! If you can make the drive down, don’t miss this hot spot!
At first we were disappointed because we didn't like our seating, but then one of the waiters worked with us being that we were a party of 12 during quarantine. We got A+ seating, service was awesome and food soooo delicious and fish super fresh. Definitely recommend, had the best time ever!!!! Thank you♡
Love this place! The food is good, the atmosphere is great and the service is excellent. Thank you, Andre! Asking for you on my next visit.
Chris is a great server I have to start with. He’s so honest about the restaurant and menu as well as being easily likable. He knows what he’s doing. Josh the manager really cool chill guy made sure everything was great along the way. I told him a compliment about Chris before telling Chris anything and we made a joke out of it. Great time good vibes and great food with a great view First photo is the server to look for !!! I will be back soon!
I went there yesterday and had an amazing time not only was the food delicious, but our server Dre made our experience 10x better. He was kind and extremely helpful throughout our time there making sure we had everything we needed. 10/10 going back soon
This establishment offers a laid back Florida keys like atmosphere Nestled outside the heart of Cutler Ridge…. It’s perfect for tourist and locals alike. Where the adults can be adults and kids can be kids an all around Great Atmosphere suitable for the whole family…. I really appreciate the impeccable customer service provided by Andre… Thank You Black Point Bar N Grill…. -Dirty Ol’
I really love coming here, they serve good solid drinks and decent food. As important as those are, it's a really beautiful view and the other patrons are always ready to have a nice chat. There's a real sense of community between staff and patrons. It's simply a great time to sit there talking with everyone around, enjoying your drink, and soaking in the view.
I saw the reviews for this restaurant on Google while looking for best restaurants in Homestead where I was visiting my husband while he was in town for work. The atmosphere was so nice! I was worried it might be hot since we were outside even though it was night time, but it wasn’t! They had fans going and it was actually kinda cool. We came because I saw they had spinach dip as an appetizer, but they were sold out. We ordered the conch fritters instead and they were pretty good! I ordered the chicken romaine wedge salad and it was out of this world delicious! My husband ordered the seafood Alfredo and it was very good as well! Overall love this restaurant and hope to come back during my stay! Our waitress Michelle was awesome! Definitely recommend this restaurant! My husband lived looking at the boats in the marina!
Amazing as always, 10 min wait to sit which was quick considering it was a Friday afternoon. Service was excellent and our food came out quick. I tried the chili, honestly one of the best I've ever had. We also had the yucca fries and that was a meal in itself, huge portion. I loved the swordfish we had, even shared it with my wife as it was a good portion too. You can't beat the ambiance, views and food but what's always top notch is the service, kudos to their staff!
The food was great (we tried the conch frittes, shrimp and wings). Our server Chris was awesome! The view is simply amazing, a breath of fresh air. Update 2/20/19 My family and i have become regulars i love this place! Once again great service. A gem in Cutler Bay great food, great people and a great location.
Great Spot with Amazing Ocean View! Went to Black Point Ocean View yesterday with my fiancée Bruna and met up with our great friends Jimmy and Rachel. What a night! The place has an awesome vibe, super chill with a beautiful view of the ocean. The food was on point – I had the tuna and it was absolutely delicious, super fresh and full of flavor. We all had a great time catching up, enjoying the drinks, and just relaxing. Service was friendly and fast too. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend!
Even during a crazy rain windy storm, the service was superior and the food was great. So highly recommend One of my favorite places to eat fresh seafood
Dre was awesome! He kept us laughing. Food was delicious. I had the cracked conch and boiled shrimp. The other 4 in my group each got something different to eat and of it was great! Also my rum punch bucket was the best! Chico treated us very good also!
Blackpoint Grill continues to impress on every level. The food, atmosphere, music, and drinks all come together to create an unforgettable waterfront dining experience. We ordered the coconut shrimp and deep-fried fish, both of which were perfectly cooked crispy, flavorful, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The lobster soup was rich, comforting, and packed with great flavor, easily one of the highlights of the meal. Paired with their well-made drinks, everything complemented the relaxed marina vibe perfectly. The atmosphere is amazing, with great music setting the mood without being overwhelming. Whether you’re stopping by for food, drinks, or just to enjoy the setting, it’s a place that makes you want to stay and enjoy the moment. The staff was attentive and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. Everything was amazing from start to finish, and this is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, great drinks, and an unbeatable marina atmosphere
I wasn’t sure about coming in at first, but I’m so glad we did! The place is beautiful and the atmosphere is amazing 🤩 . The food was absolutely incredible every dish was delicious and the drink was perfect. A special shoutout to our server, Sandee, who was truly wonderful. She guided us through the menu with such kindness and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to! Highly recommended.
First time visiting Black Point and Dre was our server—he took amazing care of us from start to finish! He had us laughing from the moment we arrived and really made the experience feel welcoming and fun. We went on a colder day here in Miami, and he went out of his way to move us to a sunnier table so we could stay warm, which was such a thoughtful touch. He recommended the salmon, and it was absolutely delicious—we scraped our plates clean! We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend asking for Dre!
Black Point Grill is a nice place to eat by the water with a really chill atmosphere. The food is pretty good and it’s always a relaxing spot to hang out. It’s one of our local go to places and we enjoy coming here whenever we want something casual and enjoyable.
Andre (Dr. Dre) was the best waiter. We loved our food and the service. The prices were great. We will definitely be back.
This place never misses. Amazing local spot that we always come to. I’ve never had a bad item here. 10/10 would recommend. Everyone is great but if you can, ask for Andre, he’s amazing.
Nice spot for a drink and some food. We tried the Voodoo bucket and tuna taco’s and both are very nice. Staff is very friendly.
Been coming here for years. Has had its up and downs but looks like they’ve come back to the old ways. Great menu items great pricing but only reason I have a 4 cause they don’t seem draft beer
I've been here several times but I've never stopped at the restaurant. Today we just came to eat some at the restauran. Place is nice, in the afternoon we've been told that they have live music. I kind of hot at 2 pm but they have several fans all over the place. Safety measures are taken in place, face mask mandatory to come in, tables disinfected when a customer leave and waiters wear mask all the time (sorry for them working with that hot and walking here and there). Nice views while eating, food is good, nothing extra special but is good, there have different beers, some of them local beers which is nice. Conch fritter was really good, perfect fried and soft inside, the sauce that come with is really good too. Service is good, nice people and pending of your table. I love when they bring you the refill without even asking for it. Price is average, not cheap but you have to pay also the views. Is worthy what you pay. I really recommend it 👌
This place never disappoints when it comes to food and service. The only reason I cannot give it a 5 is because people that will visit it that are not used to the Homestead heat and humidity may not be able to stand it. They do try to help with industrial fans on the outside, but on those cool nights, you will love this place. They have some of the best bartenders in all of south Florida, and did I mention the food? Love this place.
Good service and nice American outdoor ambience! Food is good but a bit overpriced for some of the me u items others are normal pricing Nice getaway from the City vibe ✨️
The drive here was very quiet and relaxing, but once you get here there is an abundance of lively vibes. Lots of active people coming and going off their boats, yachts and escaping from their daily routines. I got filled up with the servings of appetizers so can’t say I had room for a main course. The beers are served extra cold just as I like it.
Food was good. Typical bar food. Mussels were good. Service was pretty good. Locations everything. Plenty of wildlife to watch while eating. This is as waterfront as the come.
I can't give it 5 stars because my guests felt that the margaritas were awful and a simple quesadilla was also just terrible. I enjoyed my fish and chips and the Romain wedge was great. It's really nice to be able to sit by the water and watch the boats go by. It's not too loud, so you can chill and chat. We had high expectations for the food, so we were a bit disappointed. If you go for the view and a few beers, you will enjoy it!
Service and restaurant were great! I loved sitting by the water. The cracked conch appetizer was good and the swordfish special with lemon & basil was lacking in salt but decent. I would not order the spinach soufflé again but the fries were great - nice and crispy! My dad ordered the dolphin sandwich which he said was decent. Definitely a good spot to visit. Ask for James, he’s a great waiter.
Except for the simple fact that the mosquitoes had a field day attacking us as soon as the sun went down this is a great place to eat. The food on point. The drinks were delicious and strong ( we had mojitos). But those mosquitoes were deadly. We actually left early because of them. And we were seated right next to the bay. The service was good but you could tell they were under staffed and it took a bit to get our server to pay attention to us.
Really nice dockside restaurant with reasonably priced quality food. They have interesting specials. Live music on weekends I think. We had the fish and chips, crispy grouper sandwich and blackened dolphin(Mahi Mahi) sandwich and all were good. It’s a bit of a drive but if you’re in the area it’s worth a visit. Mostly frequented by locals that launch their boats there to go fishing.
This review will focus on the restaurant & not so much the park & marina. Let's face it, the main reason to come is the awesome views. That has not changed.if you're into Waterview and boating. The food overall is pretty average, but the view is excellent. If you're lucky, you may see crocodile & manatees, & always, birds of all kinds. The dump down the road has been been pretty well behaved, smelling less than before. Maybe I've been lucky, but I think a higher population over the years helps. Parking is pretty good, but few are available close by. You can park by the gated vessel slips & walk a lil' bit. No AC in the older bathrooms but still functional. It's hot as heck outside but there are fans everywhere and autumn is coming, followed by winter so it'll be nicer outdoors. Again, sit next to the water, the view is excellent. For amusement, you can join some folks directly in front & watch what funny things boating ppl do. It'll be a lunch & a show. Stay later on some nights & you'll be greeted with a live band. If you stay the on walkway, you'll be greeted with some spectacular views at the end of the walkway, about 1.5 mi.
The food here is never going to blow you away but it is more about the location and setting. Nice spot on a nice day to sit outside and eat. Service is usually quick. I would say most of the food is average, but I do really enjoy the Fish 'n Chips and they keep Malt Vinegar at the ready on the tables.
I didn't know this place and I thought it was good to enjoy with friends to go enjoy some beers or a few drinks. The good food. The nice place next to the marina. The only thing I didn't like was that on the page it says that they close at 10 and at 9 they were practically running us. But if it's a possible place to return.
A very relaxing place to go alone or with the family and at night a romantic atmosphere. Very good food . They have beer, liqueurs and sodas. This place provides different areas to sit, but my favorite is next to the water. The place has ample parking and parking spaces for handy caps.
Well it was 3 of us, one being my 90 year old grandmother who walks with a cane. As we walked in it says to seat ourselves which we did. The waitress was quite rude and told us that this is only a table for 8 or more and forced us to move to a high top which we did not want due to my grandmothers condition. Then we see 4 people sit down at that table and was served with no problem….Very disappointing… The food was ok, the Cuban sandwich was not the right bread, alcohol was very expensive.
All basic . But the only food option out there. They do cook your own catch if you bring it in . I always say no pickles and they never listen , i genuinely dont like the taste. And they never toast their bread for the sandwiches. Bathroom is atrocious. A disservice to the customers who pay hi prices . Can't show photos because of privacy. But its bad. The only trash can is full of black mold and gunk in the female restroom . And dont even think you will find soap here 😒
Nice outdoors space, next to the marina. The service was ok, and the food was ok, not bad, not great. Simply ok
I used to Live in cutler bay in 2010, I had a great experience here then. Since I now live in Alabama, while visiting Miami for spring break 2024 my family and I decided to try out this place and revisit. I was pleasantly surprised by the short wait to be seated and was serviced by a great server. All was great right up until my skirt teak arrived and I was shocked to see half the skirt steak to be missing. I did say something to the waiter which all he could say was “this is how it came out from the package”, to no reflection to him because he was a very nice guy but for a $29.00 skirt steak to come out half its size I would have not said we had it in stock if this is the presentation that will come out to the table. Ya’ll this thing literally looked like it was cut in half and served to me. 🤦🏼♀️ I would take it off the menu if you’re going to serve such an embarrassing sliver of steak!!! When the cut of a skirt steak is at least 4 to 5 in in width. The drinks were great and my husband and son enjoyed their food just fine, My Skirt steak while it appeared ozempic, it was tasty and cooked as I asked, would I recommend it, probably not for the price but for half.
The location is great, the view beautiful, the waiting staff attentive, Drinks were very nice, went 2 nights in a row with group of 15, the only issue most of us had was that the food was salty(fish, lobster bisque), and was spicy(rice, bean) my last issue is that anyone that puts raw cabbage in tacos as a filler is a definite 1 star, make a proper taco with warm tortillas or take off menu, I'm giving more because of the first 4 categories (after 2 meals I was as swollen as a pufferfish)
Great place to feed the local mosquitos ! LoL, all kidding aside this place has great bar food and drinks some music sometimes. The lines can and will make you wait for an hour or so, but if you walk around the restaurant you can come back to the host and tell her what tables are available since It has been successfull in the past. I dont know why they are so bad at seating people
This was our first time there. My food and the appetizer were very good. My husband had the crispy grouper sandwich and as soon as we got home he vomited. He said is was too oily. I ordered a sandwich and a Clam chowder to go for our son. The sandwich was good. When he opened the small soup container it had some red sauce with potatoes, onions, some carrots and peppers. That's was not Clam chowder, but a waste of money. I know, I should had checked, my fault. Our server was friendly and the ambience was good. We live an hour away. I might try them again. Hopefully my son will get his clam chowder.
Black Point Ocean Grill is all about the atmosphere more than the food. Honestly, the food itself is very basic, stick to the simple items like French fries because most other dishes feel pretty mediocre. Service is on the slower side, so patience is needed. That said, the location is what makes it worth visiting. The sunset views are stunning, the drinks are strong and reasonably priced, and there’s a laid-back vibe that’s perfect for relaxing. Parking can be stressful, especially during busy times, but one of the nice perks is being able to go fishing either before your meal or after a good lunch. Overall, it’s not a spot I’d recommend for the food alone, but if you’re going for the scenery, drinks, and atmosphere, it definitely delivers.
Great, relaxed atmosphere. Sat by the bar. One bartender was not very attentive, honestly not even sure why she's working there as we weren't the only ones being ignored but whatever. The bartender who took over was AWESOME. She was tall and very friendly. (Terrible with names sorry) Ordered the wings and the pulled pork tacos. Wings were delicious, pork tacos were cold. And I mean the beans, rice, pork, and wrap were cold. I hate sending food back so just ate it. For what it's worth it tasted good but would have been better like... hot. Pineapple drink was good and got me nice and toasted. I can't really go above 3 stars due to our bartender's negligence and cold meal. Maybe next time it will be better if it is I'll update rating.
Upon arriving it was clear this is more a bar than a grill. Patrons smoke at the tables. No one greets you at the entrance, no sign to disclose seat yourself. We waited for a server but hubby ended up getting us menus. He ordered a beer that took forever to arrive. We ordered the mussels for starter as we really enjoyed those yesterday at the other restaurant but they were not the same, floating in water? Stale bread? Waiter takes a long time to come by and does not offer any information as in: would you like to hear the special? Would you like to order? She's definately a bar waitress. You can bring children here but I wouldn't recommend it some of the language is colorful and sexual jokes and chatter of a sexual nature, like a bar atmosphere. There is no indoor seating which I'm good with but it leaks in many places. My fish was very good that's why they got a 2 but Chris had the seafood Alfredo and those shrimp and scallops were alfraid'O all right, for being a seafood place they were tiny! Size of a nickle! I inquired if they had real garlic toast she said no they serve...stale French style bread. Positives if it wasn't raining there's sort of a view 👍 you cannot see the ocean.
I used to love this place. Ordered the grouper sandwich and it came out inside was like sushi. His server happily had it remade. However the crust and fish were saturated with grease. He had four bites got my check and went home, too bad.
2025 Food continues to go down hill. Biggest draw was the great acoustic bands on the weekends in the afternoon. Those are long gone. From 2024: 2 to 3 star + Great view! + Friendly staff! - No more live bands since COVID. Was one of the best to be able to enjoy weekend lunch or weekend happy hour with a live acoustic band. No more. No more entertainment. - Food quality has gone way down hill. . Burgers which were once five star are like maybe 2 star. . Tuna steak that I used to rave about are 33 percent less size (used to be three tuna steaks, now only two), are almost always dried out, just yuck. But it was my absolute favorite meal for more than five years. This last week will be the last time I'll order the tuna steaks. . Appetizers are way overpriced, more than most meals now. Still a great view, parking is ample but far from the restaurant. Outdoor is nice. But the food? In my opinion eat at McDonald's on the way in. .................. From 2021: five star rating Ocean grill... Hmm... Great food. Kind of expensive. Live bands. Smash the Like button if you are reading! :) A couple of things going on here. Marina, boat ramps, and eatery. Parking is great if you like to walk -- but be prepared to walk! You'll need to. If it is raining, you'll get wet on the way in. There is no close by parking. Okay, there is a little close by parking, but only like a dozen or so spaces. You'll be parking far away. Eatery: Eatery is okay. Kind of expensive. Lots of fried food. Band plays often. Marina: Marina is fuel and ramps, not sure if it is full service with a mechanic. Dry dock and wet docks available. Everything is expensive of course. Boat ramps: Boat ramps are fun to watch! Boat ramps are actually quite good, if you can get access. Normally this place is packed to the gills though, so it is not a fun place to be when the novices get on the water.
This place use to be great. Food, drinks, atmosphere, service. Now its hit or miss. The food is usually OK at best, the service from my experience and families has gone down the drain (guess you have to be a cop/military/or named montaner 😂), the drinks are still good in their defense. Can't go wrong with a beer bucket by the ocean here. Otherwise dont bother.
Been going there for a couple years and for the first time I was treated as if I were asking for something free even tho I am the customer and I am paying for every service provided. The waiter Ezequiel was completely incompetent and not worth having as someone service clients.
If i could leave zero stars I would. The food was cold and bland, our server Christian was rude and rushed us to order. When we finally got the bill because we literally had to yell at the waiter to bring the check, they add another $10 if you pay by card never coming here again. If you want horrible service and bland unseasoned food this is your spot 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
The waitress Suzanne Y, gave my group a very unpleasant experience. This restaurant was recommended to try, however the service Suzanne Y gave tonight I wouldn’t want anyone to experience. The waitress was very curt when we asked questions almost as if we shouldn’t ask. This restaurant should have some type of mosquito repellent measures in place as we were unable to enjoy our meals due to the excessive amount of mosquitoes who invaded our table. As we were paying our tabs Suzanne also pressured my party to pay her a tip. As if it is mandatory, please let her know tips are given based on the level of service provided and not mandatory.
Disappointing Experience and Unprofessional Service We visited with our family and our small dog, not noticing any clear sign that pets were not allowed. Once seated, the manager approached us in an extremely rude manner, offering no willingness to discuss or find a solution. Because rain was approaching, we asked to sit under the covered area at a larger table—there were four of us and the table was for six—but the manager flatly refused even though the table wasn’t reserved and no one was waiting. A bit of understanding and flexibility would have avoided ruining our family outing. The place itself looked messy and poorly maintained, which only added to the negative impression. We decided to leave rather than spend time or money at a restaurant that shows so little respect for its customers. Definitely do not recommend.
I recently dined at Black Point Ocean Grill and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that customer service was not a priority. We were neither greeted nor seated promptly, leaving us to wait aimlessly at the entrance. Once we were finally seated, it took an unreasonably long time for a server to approach our table. The delay in service was unacceptable and set a negative tone for the rest of our meal. When our orders were finally taken, I opted for the churrasco, which was overpriced considering the quality that was eventually delivered. The steak arrived well-done, contrary to my request for medium-rare, and the sides were clearly not fresh, appearing as if they had been hastily thawed from a freezer. Adding to the frustration, the outdoor bartender on the lower level floor was more interested in socializing with his friends than attending to patrons. Despite walking back and forth multiple times with a stroller, we were completely ignored in our efforts to find a suitable place to sit. Overall, the restaurant failed on multiple fronts: poor customer service, subpar food quality, and inattentive staff. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience and suggest looking elsewhere for a dining establishment that values its customers. (Shrimp scampi was decent)
