What a nice surprise to find this fine dining option right in CG. We stopped in not having any expectations as we drove by frequently but never looked it up. We were pleasantly surprised by the upscale yet cozy atmosphere. Excellent service with very fresh and flavorful food. I think this qualifies as a hidden gem. The short rib pappardelle was one of the best things I’ve had in a long time, and that’s saying something after an extended trip to Miami has given me plenty of opportunities to eat at nice places. It is really special. I was surprised at the good size of the dishes and not overly expensive prices (two large meatballs were $9). It’s definitely worth stopping in. We’re going back next week just for the short rib dish.

Once again Vialettos doesn't disappoint! From start to finish. The service is always on point. The true gift is Ragz, the chef. His food is always MAGNIFICENT. It is always an incredible experience, like an explosion of flavors in your mouth that make you smile. This time I had lamb medallions over champagne risotto and my friend had the hogfish snapper. Both dishes are must haves! Thank you for treating us like royalty. Marcelo and Ernie define VIP treatment.

Stumbled upon this place while walking around our block and decided to give it a try. We ordered on Uber eats for pick up and it was ready in less than 20 minutes. My boyfriend ordered the Lobster Ravioli and I had ordered the Pappardelle Short Rib. Everything was delicious! The owner was very welcoming & was nice enough to give us fresh bread to try at home free of charge. We will definitely be back!

Food and service are outstanding! We had an error with one of our dishes, they made it right, quickly! We had 4 people come to the table to make sure we where happy! I will be back over and over!

All I can say is wow. On a whim we decided to pop Out of the Miami airport during an extended layover and picked Caffe Vialetta. What an amazing choice. Owner was so friendly and accommodating. Food was to die for. Bread is homemade and if I could I would have taken a few loaves hone in my luggage! We had pear ravioli’s as an appetizer and I could have just eaten them all night. Then we had the short rib pappardelle and the pasta del ao. Sigh. I’ll dream about them…they are known for their short ribs and the short rib pappardelle didn’t disappoint. And the pasta with shrimp mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes was also amazing. This is a must visit place!!!

Caffe Vialetto is my favorite place in Miami! I'm a weekly regular & Marcelo is always ready to greet me at the door. The whole team is fabulous & attentive. I've never left unhappy or hungry. Best risotto, best wine, best all around!! Go visit as soon as possible & make Caffe Vialetto your weekly spot too!!!! pictured: Sugar crusted salmon w/ blue cheese, mushroom & honey sauce over the most amazing champagne risotto :)

As a fat guy who loves eating good in miami, caffe vialetto is a place I highly recommend... not just highly, it's got the best pasta I've ever had, even after having gone to Italy a few times! Amazing food always, taste so savory so well made... what an amazing chef Lucas is, we have been here a few times he comes out and welcomes us and it's such a nice ambiance... but again, most importantly the food is a 10/10 and italiano restaurants ain't my favorite... great spot!! Excellent food...excellent service. This review is written after I've already been there a few times. The owners Ernie and Marcelo (a different Marcelo, total coincidence) are around and attentive to the diners. The staff is always around though not in your face and never a pressured moment. The bartender is on his game! Note that the entrance isn't on LeJeune itself, the entrance is through the back, and while that sounds quirky, it works! Parking behind the restaurant is valet only, so keep that in mind the alternative is parking by meter on the street behind the restaurant. The valets, however, are top notch and courteous and have a direct sight of all vehicles so it's like you've got built-in security thrown in. Worth it not parking on curb. Back to the food... Which is why you're reading this. 1. It's not officially on the menu, but if you catch it when there's a Private party....you might be able to have some of the best Sangria you'll find in Miami. 2. The bread and tomato/olive oil/garlic opener is DANGEROUS...Dangerously good! Folks on a Keto diet, beware, you will be tested. 3. The meatball appetizer is rich and meaty and the dollop of ricotta served with them (usually 2 huge or 3 medium meatballs). 4. The Short-Rib is spectacular... they serve it more than one way...and even though the main one is made with risotto, for someone on Keto they immediately offered to substitute it with something keto-friendly (Steamed Spinach with olive oil and garlic...mmmm). 5. Dessert...several options for most folks...ask for the Funk (kiss your diet adios at this point, so you better be prepared to deal with the aftermath of cheating on your diet...it will be worth it 😉). Anyway...I could say more, but I think you're probably looking for your keys or headed to your car to go check it out.

Went to Caffe Vialetto for the first time this evening. We started with the Calamari Fra Diablo, one of the best red sauces I've ever had, very flavorful. Our meals were the Gnocchi and Mady's Chicken - both excellent dishes. We each had two glasses of wine, from a reasonable wine menu, a good selection of "by the glass" and bottles. For dessert, a very untraditional but very yummy Tiramisu. The back lot is valet parking for $5 or you can find something on the street. We were warmly greeted at the door and the staff was helpful and friendly. Yup, we'll be back!!

#MiamiSpice2016 WHAT I TRIED: Duck Confit Tacos Baby Ossobuco Pappardelle Saffron Dulce de Leche Panna Cotta Fresh Berries with a Coconut Rum Chantilly Cream HIT: Caffe Vialetto's risottos have stood the test of time. A good portion of the main dishes served are accompanied by risottos that can easily stand alone. The Baby Ossobuco offered on the Miami Spice menu is no different. Accompanied by a decadent mushroom risotto, this dish is a clear standout; homestyle, tender, and meaty. You cannot miss out on this one! I have to also give a special shout-out to that Dulce de Leche Panna Cotta. WOW! Still thinking about it. MISS: Nada. All good here as usual. It's hard for me to even review Caffe Vialetto. I've been there so many times in my lifetime that it feels like an extension of my family. It's a solid choice and the place I visit when I have family in town, for celebrations, or just when I feel the need for a home-cooked meal that does not involve me lifting a finger. The ambiance is ripe with the friendliest of vibes, the kind that involves cheerful welcomes and an eagerness to please. Service is and has always been one of their top priorities from day one. Don't like something on the menu? Ask about a substitute. Want something a little bit more customized? Ask. Love it? Tell them! The owners and staff love nothing more than making your experience a memorable one.

Another hidden culinary jewel in Coral Gables. Right in the corner of Bird and LeJeune since 1998, this restaurant dishes some the best short ribs and Italian specialties you’ll ever enjoy. First class in every way, the food, great bar, the crew, the kitchen, Ernie’s warmth, hosting, it makes for a truly delicious and unforgettable meal. Take out rocks. Everyone ends up a regular. Resistance is futile. Qui se manga bene!

This has been on our 'looking forward to...' list all year long. It was worth the wait, and we can't wait to return. Ambience was perfect combination of intimate and elegant. Quality of food from course to course made us feel like it had been prepared for us by our own personal chef. Tableside service attention anticipated our requests, and complemented the presentation of the incredibly delicious fare. This is a credit to the restaurant team, who also were serving two large event tables at the same time. From the meatball appetizers to the short ribs with homemade pasta, and the best gorgonzola and mushroom pan seared filet I have tasted in years. We savored every bite of our meal, and Caffe Vialetto has moved to the top of our 'places to return to' list...

Great food! Not sure why they have valet though, inconvenienced us by making us back out of spot we already parked in so we could drive 20' over to the door, then had to wait for valet to return our vehicle when we left when vehicle was right in front of us. Charged $5 for valet when it was a total inconvenience on us...if I'm not mistaken, valet is supposed to be a convenience. IMO, lose the senseless valet. I can park in the empty parking lot and walk 30' to the door. But great food!

Been a few times for dinner. Reliably delicious, both classic and creative dishes. Staff is typical Miami: lazy yet arrogant. New Yorkers beware, and midwesterners ... you will flip out. Make peace with lousy service and you will enjoy the meal and the wines they offer.

S

I've been driving past Caffe Vialetto for years thinking "where would I park?" Now I know. In the ample parking lot (with valet) in the rear. I went there for lunch with friends last week. Wonderful warm service from everyone....especially co-owner Ernie Fernandez. Lots of interesting looking options on the menu. I had the absolute BEST risotto I have ever tasted! If it's too pricey for you, there are lots of nice normal places for you to go. Caffe Vialetto is not normal. It is extraordinary.

We've been exploring local small businesses as things slowly start to open back up, and we're so happy we found Caffe Vialetto! The staff was eager to please and make us feel comfortable. Please get a reservation, and even a little bit of waiting at this hidden gem because the food and service are worth it! After hearing good things from a trusted foodie friend I made the trip before a night out in the Gables / Grove area. I went with their Miami Spice menu, and didn't notice any problems. Portion size was price appropriate and very flavorful. Since it was a full house the owner /manager comped me some fluffy warm bread and tart tomatoes while I waited for my sharp buffalo meatball and creamy polenta appetizer. Dressed up with some marinara, it was a tasty lead in to my chicken parm (very sauce and rich). Unlike Italian chain restaurants, the sides were a creamy risotto and crisp veggies. A cool and fluffy nutella pannacotta closed out my eats and I was ready for a night out elsewhere. Though the facade is off Leajeune, the entrance has a nice speakeasyish vibe on the block behind (btw my bartender was nice enough to remind me to enter the back entrance as my address for UberLyft.) The manager was involved in service, going around to each of the guests. Cool chardonnay kept me thru dinner, and a delicious sweet port closed my night out. For those of us dining solo, there are a couple TVs by the bar (and you might run into a few other single solo diners too ;)

We have gone many times and also have hosted baby showers and anniversaries here. Recently I celebrated my birthday and as always it was delicious!!! We had an amazing time and EXCELLENT service. Anthony was our server and provided outstanding service, he definitely made us have a great night with his personality and expertise. We had the carpaccio rolatini, tuna tostone to start. Most of us had short rib and pappardelle short ribs, the fruta di mare 3 ways was also very flavorful. Every single detail was on point and I will definitely be back soon. Ernie, the Chef, Anthony and staff, I just want to say HUGE THANK YOU !!!

M

I ordered the fig ravioli and my boyfriend ordered lobster ravioli. Both delicious. But then the owner comes out with a pear ravioli. A must order next time we come! Silky, Smith, pops of creamy cheese, crisp fresh pear, and a thin ravioli dough. Perfect!

One of my favorite restaurants. They have unusual creations that are cooked to perfection every time. Some of my favorites are the ravioli with pear and Gorgonzola, the short rib papardelle, the fillet mignon and the carpaccio rolatini. Can’t go wrong with this place.

Highly recommend, excellent food. The specials were amazing I would of have order all of them. Our server was very food also and prices very reasonable compared to others. I guess that's why they have stayed in business for over 20 years. Will be back soon.

We arrived early (6 pm) on a weeknight and were the first patrons of the night. We were greeted by the owner who effusively thanked us for coming, asked us where we were from, etc. I was thinking, "wow they must be desperate for business". Not the case. The place filled while we dined. The service is just that good. The special appetizer for the evening was an artichoke soup. I can only describe it as shockingly good. I ordered the crab ravioli, but our waiter suggested I order one of each type of ravioli to sample each. Good call. They were all absolutely amazing, each with its own distinctive flavor profile. I highly recommend this restaurant.

One of my favorites in Coral Gables. We've been eating here for years and they never disappoint. Top notch quality plus incredible food. Always order the soup... whatever they are serving is delicious. My favorite is pumpkin mango soup - YUM! Always order from their specials... they are always spectacular. Last visit I had tuna with guava glaze...delish.

After living 26 years in Miami I was just introduced to this hidden gem. What a delightful restaurant. From the owner, to the staff, to the menu, the whole experience was spectacular. The gorgonzola and pear ravioli was amazing as was every dish that came to our table. The house cabernet was the best house wine I have ever tried. Can't wait to go back and work my way through the other dishes on the menu. This place is a must visit. You definitely won't be disappointed.

From start to finish this place rocks! I called for last minute reservations and they made accommodations right away, once we arrived the valet was very friendly. It was raining and he picked me up with an umbrella and handed it me and said “walk behind me to avoid you stepping me a puddle”. Once inside we were greeted by Erine, made us feel as we were family, we had a short wait and we ordered a drink while we waited and Erine made us one of the best lychee martinis I have ever had! Once we sat down at our table, they brought us bread and a tomato bowl which was amazing. We order appetizers one which was 2 giant croquettes delicious totally recommend ordering. Then we ordered our meals my husband ordered pasta del año and I ordered the special of the day Filet mignon with champagne risotto, WOW 🤩. I have not been this impressed with a restaurant in a very long time and they totally deserve 10 Stars ⭐️! We left that night by making reservations for the following Saturday to bring more friends to this GEM 💎!! Thank you Erine and your team for making out night fantastic you all are doing a great job!

I am catching up on all my reviews of my favorite local spots... Caffe Vialetto in Coral Gables is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the Italian food is truly amazing. I highly recommend trying the Caribbean RISOTTO with roasted almonds, sweet plantains, and goat cheese - it's absolutely delicious! Incredible service, even better food. Our server Derek was incredible. He took the time to go over the specials with us. We made reservations but when we arrived there was a delay. The person in charge of the restaurant apologized to us and offered free drinks. I was just introduced to this place last night and now have just moved it to my go to restaurant whenever I arrive in Miami which is about once a month. This establishment has a true chef not a cook. The way they combine flavors and textures is just incredible. Try the pear ravioli and mix with crispy shrimp. I am almost too afraid to post this and make for long waiting lines if discovered. 5 stars are not enough.

My wife and I just enjoyed a wonderful experience at Cafe Vialetto! The atmosphere is lively and authentic with great music and people who are talking and sharing a wonderful experience. The food is authentic, savory, masterfully prepared (from scratch), and delicious! The pasta was fresh and served with perfectly cooked filet mignon. The braised short ribs brought us right back to a wine tasting at a vineyard in Tuscany. The service was patient, helpful, ever present but never a bother. I absolutely recommend the establishment and the experience! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the warm and inviting family atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with Ernie, the owner and waiter, providing attentive and personalized care. The food was simply extraordinary. My wife indulged in a delightful journey of flavors, starting with the creamy polenta, followed by an unforgettable carpaccio that was truly out of this world. The pear and gorgonzola ravioli were a symphony of textures and tastes, and the short rib risotto... well, let's just say I'm seriously considering naming my firstborn after it! The combination of exceptional food, impeccable service, and a charming ambiance made this dining experience truly unforgettable. We will undoubtedly be returning soon and spreading the word to everyone we know. Highly Recommended!

The service was excellent. The food was exceptional. Comfortable seats with happy ambiance. We had our holiday business lunch there and everyone was very satisfied and happy. Although top quality food and good service, I think they should upgrade the coffee brand they serve to make the customer feel totally satisfied and enjoy the whole experience from the very beginning until it ends up. It means, a good espresso to catch up with this restaurant’s category!

Good beef prep, low salt, good flavor, a little noisy, hard to share talking in long tables farther away than the person besides you. Good dessert and coffee. Parking valet behind the place, $5.00 cash.

The food and service were great! It was quite loud (as it was crowded) so not a spot if you're looking for something on the quieter side. The entrance is difficult to find due to some of the construction -- a sign on le jeune would be helpful to point out where the true entrance is.

Lovely, quiet neighborhood restaurant. We typically get pasta (the Parppadelle Short Ribs is excellent) and a nice bottle of wine. This time I had the black Fruta di Mare 3 Ways and it was amazing. The squid flavor was perfect and the presentation lovely. The server was very helpful and effectively told my 9 year old to forget the menu, they would make what he wanted. Highly recommend for a quality meal with friendly service (a rarity in Miami!)

Great atmosphere, good food! I'm not into fusion however, they may have converted me..why ..? Because the chef delicately balances flavors like guava and tuna... I'm giving it 4 because of my concern about portion... Need bigger portions!

Went for Miami Spice with my wife and parents and had an pleasant time. Food was delicious and good portions, and service was good. Only downside is no close parking and valet charges $5 for the lot in back but doesn't park cars. Parking should be free for patrons especially on a non busy weekday.

We had the short rib entree and the pappardelle short rib. Both were very good. My biggest minus on the experience here was that the bread was extremely disappointing. It seemed the dough was not given enough time to rise. This seems fixable so I hope to see this in a future visit.

We went on a Saturday night while we waited we had a drink at the bar. Friendly and great customer service by the bartender. The risotto, polenta, meatballs and raviolis were delicious. The pasta salmon dish was ok, the salmon was a little overcooked and was dry. Overall, good food and excellent attention to the customer. I would recommend and eat here again.

Delicious dinner and great atmosphere. The owner made the dining experience from the beginning very attentive and enthusiastic. The minus one star is for the server as he didnt touch the table much and some were on their phones while on the floor. I will go back and enjoy 100%

Nice small menu. Seafood risotto with lobster bisque was excellent although the portion could have been a bit more generous. Parpadelle with shredded ribs a bit on the salty side.Very expensive.

For a long time I had been looking fwd to dinning at this somewhat famous restaurant and the experience was about average. Definitely not in sync w the high ratings on different sites. Overall, the experience was pleasant, a little noisy because it was packed, good thing I had a reservation. While the bread was good, the tomatoes were cut too big to easy lay on the bread without falling off - small detail. Appetizers were good but my entre, risotto w shrimps, had not been cooked thoroughly. The risotto wasn't creamy, seemed a little rushed, risotto is one of those dishes that takes time and has a narrow window of getting it perfect, not this one. My couple's risotto was much creamier, much better. The desert was just OK, by looking at some of the photos, looks like they ran out of the dulce de leche that was supposed to be the topping - LOL.

Not to bad but was surprised on the quality of food. I walked in Saturday night with a big party, so they seated us in the back room just enough to get us all a seat and comfortable. We made a reservation just to be safe to get us all in. I like the atmosphere and the location. Parking is a bit tough to find on the street. But they do have Valet parking available for 6$. Once we all got in we had one main waiter and two other that were there checking up on us. I don't have any complaints on the service. Surprised on how well it was managed for a larger party. Never any shortage of drinks or wine. If our glass looked low it was filled with a few minutes. They pay very close attention to detail on that part. Top notch service. But for restaurant it's not just the service that I look forward to it the quality of the meal and the experience I had with my family. Unfortunately this time the food quality seemed to dip for some reason. Maybe it was the number of orders but it wasn't up to my standards. A high majority of all the pasta dishes that came out including the Mac and Cheese weren't good. I tried several dishes from the menu. The Miami spice course was good for the appetizer, which I had the smoke salmon roll, which I really did enjoy and I would recommend that. But the pasta dish I order for the entree wasn't the best, the pasta it's self was a bit harder then you would want, at least the protein was cooked nice. I do recommend the croquetas. Those were spot on and I would definitely get more of those. The calamari was nice and yummy. The meatballs polenta did hold its form for very long, at least it tasted good. The deserts were by far the best right next to the wine. Just to be clear not everyone in our party order from the Miami Spice Menu. Which gave us an opportunity to try different things. The filet mignon was spot on and not one complaint from anyone on that. And the Risotto was delicious. We were a Huge party and that room the put us in was perfect at the end for all of us to be loud and not bother other guest out in the main area. Unfortunately that night the food quality wasn't the best but I'm willing to give it another try. I've heard many good things about this place and really want to see an improvement the next time I go.

After reading the reviews I had high expectations from this restaurant and was excited to try it! We easily made a reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived. Our service was prompt. After the waiter took our appetizer order we asked if we could place our dinner order in a few minutes. He said he would allow it at this time because the restaurant was still slow as it was early in the evening but there was only ONE person working in the kitchen and normally he would need our entire order immediately. With only one person working in the kitchen, it appears some of food is prepared in advanced, as was our branzino. We both order the grilled brazino dish with squid risotto. For $40 a dish, it was a disappointment. The fish was overcooked, it did not flake and appeared that it was sitting in hot water before it was served. Really disappointing for the price point. There was too much yellow sauce on the dish which drowned out the flavor of the risotto. From what I could tell, the branzino had zero flavor. The appetizers we ordered were fresh and great, the Caesar salad and the beef carpaccio. With all of the competition in the area, I hope there is more attention to details like actually grilling the fish after an order is placed and then seasoning it, as it makes of world of difference. Another annoying factor is that it seemed for the time the restaurant was overstaffed as we had three servers standing within a few feet of our table at most times, which didn't allow for a private conversation. We will try it again but will wait at least 6 months or a year.

Have been here before for the food but as of late, they have simply have overbooked their restaurant and remain understaffed. Not only did it take a while before we were tended to, but we waited for well over an hour and a half from the time we ordered until all of our food came out. Honestly, it will ruin your evening if you actually come here to eat. Don't plan on returning.

We have lunch and have malanga soup very salty, 1/4 of branzino with black risotto lunch very small $48 very salty too. now they include the famous 18 % service charge plus if you want to give additional tip, really? for lunch no wonder they are empty I believe there is have been an ownership change

Cocktails too sweet and too skimpy. Too noisy could bearly hear across table. Restroom needed cleaning. Food seemed like maybe new kitchen staff. Nothing was even just ok. Most of us left most our food. We spent about $80 per person.

A little about us: we were tourists visiting Miami and wanted to try something random and local. After reading several reviews, we decided to go to this Italian place. The food was delicious, but the service was subpar. The waiters' attitudes were lukewarm at best. We felt being ignored as they let us wait a long time for the food. We would normally expect a warmer welcome from restaurants in similar price range. My mom was especially pissed about it. We tried to convince ourselves that it was due to the culture here. However, the other restaurants in the area gave us much more respect and better service.

I don’t write many reviews but when I do is because I’m super impressed or extremely disappointed. This review is not a good one but one I felt had to be written. The service at this establishment is beyond terrible. I had a reservation for 3 at 9pm. We were not seated until almost 10pm. Once seated, they brought the bread and water out quickly but the waiter was no where in site. After about 20 minutes one of the servers noticed no one had come to help us and asked us if our waiter had come to the table, we said no so he quickly brought someone to our table. We had a few questions in regards to the menu, the waiter that showed up to the table said he was new to the restaurant and would have to come back to answer those questions. I asked him to put our drink order with the appetizers in before he asked the questions because we were hungry and being that he had not come to our table until someone brought it to his attention, I knew we would be sitting there for a while. He completely disregarded my request and had us sitting there another 20minutes before he answered our questions and took any type of order. It took almost an hour to get our drinks and appetizers, I will admit the appetizers were delicious. We ordered the Croquetas & Salmon Sashimi. We waited another 30mins after eating our apps to ask another waiter to please find our waiter, she apologized asked what we needed and brought us more water and another glass of wine. After she brought us the glass of wine and water our waiter passes by our table and said I got your cab, at this point I’m fuming because the only reason why we got more water and a glass of wine was because I had to ask another waiter to find him. I asked him to please pick up the appetizers plates and empty glasses from our table, he only picked up the plates and left the glasses. I asked him how much longer it would take to have our dinner served and of course he said he would have to go and check. It took another 30mins to have our dinner arrive. As I expected the food was not warm, at this point we were so hungry we were not going to ask him to take it back. I ordered the Short Rib Ravioli it was good but would have tasted much better if it was warm, my daughter order the Truffle Ravioli and my husband the Pasta del año. The pasta del año was the only plate that was terrible. It was very bland and taste very fishy which means the shrimp was not very fresh. My husband did not want to exchange his plate because he was starving and did not want to wait another hour. When the waiter brings the bill he said the tip is already included, it was only a party of 3 why the tip is included is beyond me. I had an issue with the gratuity being included for someone who had not earned it and gave such bad service. My husband said we will pay for this but we will never come. As I was walking out I asked the guy at the bar for the Maitre D, he looked at me and said I’ll get you the owner. I told the owner the service we received was terrible and that I did not agree with the automatic gratuity because some people will take advantage of that and not give the service they should. He was very nice and said we did not have to pay the gratuity and offered me to take a bottle of wine. I did not accept the bottle of wine and I left the gratuity as is because that is their policy. I know that there will be hiccups here and there but the service we received today was out right awful.I have noticed in restaurants that automatically include the gratuity the service is below subpar and that is because some people will not give you the good service you are paying for because it’s automatically given to them.

Pretty disappointed with my experience. My boyfriend and I went for Miami Spice and we had a poor experience. Our waiter made us feel rushed while taking our order, our artichoke croqueta appetizer was cold and so was the fig ravioli. Our waiter only came by once to check on us and didn’t even say bye as we were walking out. It wasn’t worth the 18% tip that was already added on. Mind you... we always tip at least 20%.

After an hour of waiting for appetizers the food was cold and bland, we returned even though server seemed a little upset. Was highly recommended but my experience I was not pleased at all.

Cafe Vialetto knows how to put a dark cloud on a special day....Last week I called to make a 30 person reservation for a high school graduation luncheon for May 26. I spoke to the owner Ernie and discussed in brief, menu options. I took it a step further and visited the restaurant on Friday, May 11th to have dinner with my husband so we can try the food. It was delicious and very satisfying. We met the owner who in turn served us two glasses of wine on the house! He sat with us and told us that he was looking forward to the luncheon event. Today I called to say hello and finalize the menu and guest count (30 guests) with him. I started by introducing myself again and advising him that I sent out the graduation announcements with the luncheon information yesterday morning. All of a sudden he said “Oh I’m sorry but 2 other parties have already booked that date for the same occasion “. I interjected by saying “it must be my party and someone else’s”. He proceeded to ask me “are you so-and-so” giving me the other party’s name. I responded “no that’s not my party”. He apologized and said “let me call them to confirm if they are still coming and I’ll call you back”. It was 2:30 in the afternoon and I never heard back from him. I finally initiated a phone call at 4:05 in the afternoon. He answered the phone and simply said “I am sorry but I cannot accommodate you. As a matter of fact, one of the other parties went from 40 guests to 55 guests, so there is no way I can fit you in”. I explained to him that I had already sent out the announcement with his restaurants name on it and the date and time. He said he could help me. What terrible and irresponsible business practice Cafe Vialetto has! Now I will look like a fool because I have to inform ALL my guests that the restaurant screwed us! Never again will I go to that restaurant and I will make a point to discourage anyone from going there. If you like fine cuisine, there is a nice restaurant called Secretos in Kendall. A must try!

If there was a lower star i'd give it here. Food might be good but the owner, ernie fernandez needs an attitude adjustment. He's a freak-in moran and should not be running a restaurant business. He obviously overbooked himself and would not let the patrons know that we were all at the mercy of other people getting off the table before anyone could sit down. Typical Miami business owner that only thinks on making money. I wouldn't go there again if the food was free.

Got stalked in the restaurant and then tailed by some people from the parking lot. I got followed that day and my catalytic converter stolen THAT NIGHT! The service was awful, the food was overpriced and not good. I swear they were eyeing us the whole time we were in there. The bill was stalled 15 minutes after we gave them our card. It was the most weird thing that ever happened to me.

1st time visit to celebrate birthday, notified restaurant about celebration through my reservation, in person & to waiter, It was completely ignored birthday person was not treated in any way special. We arrived on time to reservation, were made to wait extra 15 mins for table bc host said he was running late. Another male host eventually sat us in 2 small tables joined together in the middle of the hallway rather than a round table for a party of 6. We received a wrinkled photocopied paper menu this place was NOT as elegant as it appears to online on the website. It's an expensive subpar cheap looking, w/ dimmed lights so you can't really see what's really going on. Valet $7 cash is mandatory. Entrance through a back wooden hidden door. Warm bread, half a loaf and chopped up tomatoes, no oil nothing else was brought right away. Appetizers we tried: $12 for 2 normal sized "ok" meatballs. $12 for 2 awful tasting mostly artichoke Croquettes. Paper menu prices were higher than Dinner Menu on their website. Gnocchi Asiago: basic plain gnocchi sprinkled with hard bacon bits not crispy prosciutto like the menu said $38. Rigatoni Papalina $38, tasted acceptable but overpriced lacking protein. Chicken parmesan $38, Excessive red sauce felt like tomato soup, basic the taste, bland, overpriced. The champagne risotto that came with our dishes was watery and hard and didn't taste like champagne. Risotto Carbonara $40, awful! Looked like a bowl of milk with rice and some shrimp in there. There was no carbonara about this only the name, no peas, no egg, and certainly no pancetta only bacon bits sprinkled. $52 the Short Ribs #1 dish, ribs taste was good, rib portion small so this is what they want you to order this is their specialty so they can get you to spend more and still you won't be full, comes with the nasty watery risotto. The waiter had an unwelcoming attitude since greeting us even though we stated it was our first time & we were celebrating a birthday Chad made no effort to make it special for us. We asked for a dessert menu, he said he didn't have one and recited 5 deserts he had. We ordered 1 tiramisu and 1 creme Brulee. 15 mins pass no desert. I call him over to ask if it'll be much longer he then said we don't have creme Brulee. I told him to cancel then deserts and bring me the check. He brings me the check and the total is $69 for only our beverages and an 18% gratuity was automatically included. Mind you the service was awful, he never came to check on us after taking our order and water refill was only brought out at the end, our "dinner" was dry and we couldn't even order more drinks. I should've paid and left, but I'm an honest person, called him over and showed him the check and told him you see what you did to this check? All the food was missing. He then realized his mistake. I told him to remove the gratuity that I would add my tip on my own. He took another 15 Mins to fix and bring the correct check. $339 for 6 people plus tip, to eat awful food, meh drinks and awful service, not the experience I wanted for my VIP. I suggest going elsewhere to spend your hard earned money. This is a loud tightly packed place that I can't recommend to anyone else. I feel I was robbed. My VIP ended up sick due to the undercooked shrimp that came with his food. I'm so embarrassed to have brought my family here. NEVER again. I still tipped the waiter 15% of the bill simply for taking our orders and so that the water boy who brought us water one time before we left get paid. I don't understand how in this economy restaurateurs dare to treat their customers like this. Please go elsewhere. Anyone saying this is good, clearly has not visited high end restaurants or been to Italy and tried authentic Italian cuisine.

Worst Dining Experience of my entire life! Fellow diners be warned this place is a major scam and not the kind of place you want to take your family. The entire staff are expert conmen waiting to scam their clients at any chance they get. Me and my wife went for dinner on a saturday evening. After asking for the bill we realized there was over $60 of extra costs which we never ordered! After confronting the waiter about it we were told that "it was just a mistake" Turns out that they are so used to people paying their bill without looking at all the charges that they take the liberty to add any other charges that they want. Disgusting disgusting disgusting filthy place , I can't describe how bad of an experience we had. When the manager comes to the table to say"sorry" he could not even stand straight he was drunk out of his mind and almost falling over. Not to worry though this place will not be around for long. You have been warned

It was my first time eating At Caffe Vialetto. Truth be told the food is amazing. I had the filet mignon with champange rissotto. Had a variety plate as an appetizer, also delicious and for dessert nutella panicotta. My friend was about to order another glass of wine when Ernie who I believe is the co owner asked us to leave because he had another table waiting. There was no mention of a time limit at the time the reservation was done. My bill was a bit over 200.00. for two people. Restaurant owners should treat their patrons with respect. There could have been a million different ways to have handled that situation rather than asking us to leave. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will tell all my friends about it. Going out to dinner for the first time after being in lockdown for 3 months due to the Covid 19 should have been a great experience.

Ernie Fernandez is the most unprofessional, indecent, and disrespectful business owner I have ever come across. When I walked in with my 87 year old grandpa for my 9pm reservation, we were told we would be seated shortly. When Ernie realized our seating would take longer than expected, he offered some wine and brought a chair for my grandpa who at this point had been standing for over 20 minutes. Another 15 minutes went by, and he informed us we’d be seating shortly. After waiting 40 minutes, my dad asked him how much longer it would be and he completely lost his temper and started yelling and pointing his finger in his face telling all of us to leave and threatening to call the cops on the basis of inquiring about our wait time. He is clearly unfit to be managing a restaurant and I truly feel sorry for his staff after witnessing his instability and lack of fundamental professionalism. We have been customers for over 10 years and I am proud to say I will never be back. I’m sure I’m not the first nor the last to be VERBALLY ASSAULTED by Ernie Fernandez; what a shame that he is unable to control his temper in front of the elderly, children, and his own customers.

I don’t like to give bad review to restaurants but this was my worst experience. We wait around 1:30 for entree and when they arrived the food was cold. We didn’t have spoon or forks to eat. Service in this place SUCK.

I remember when Vialeto was always packed, and the risotto was so good there, it was hard to decide what kind to have . I returned for lunch with friends and we all agreed that we would never return. The place was empty, the service was slow, the food came out cold, except for my dish that wasn’t fully cooked. The risotto looked like rice and black beans, it was that watery. It was a seafood black risotto, but the only seafood visible were pieces of white calamar that looked like worms in mud. I ate some of it because I was hungry and the others weren’t happy with their cold fish either, but afterwards felt sick to my stomach. The deserts tasted store bought, the prices were too high for mediocre to poor lunch , at $100 per person , having had just 1 bottle of Prosecco and 2 drinks. At this rate their days are numbered.
