Nachos with grilled chicken was a tasty dinner at this popular, lively party spot. The BLT rocked, too. Wish I could have taken advantage of the big beer menu but this was a road trip stop. When we go back we'll ask what the Islander name is about.

This is my home away from home. The Islander is a great friendly environment. The patio is small so the crowd is larger in the winter and fall. But the bartenders will remember your name and make you feel like your drinking at home with family!

I cannot say enough about how great my experience was at The Islander Bar last night! I stopped in after work to grab a cocktail and some dinner and was very happy with the results. First, even though the bar was very full, I was able to find a seat quickly and was greeted by Brooklyn immediately. As she was stepping away to make my drink, Rachael made eye contact and also acknowledged me, grabbing a menu for me. There were also two other bartenders, Kayla and another girl who did introduce herself, and I’m very sorry I forget her name. (Denise I feel like, I’m so sorry if I’m wrong because you they were all awesome!) The thing I thought was so great is instead of just taking care of their specific area or guest, as most bars do, all the bartenders interacted with everyone which made it feel more inclusive. They were all friendly and their service was amazing. I would come back just for that alone! The food is another great reason! After looking at the menu and trying to decide through many great options of sandwiches, entrées and your traditional bar foods like wings and other appetizers, I settled on the strip steak dinner which came with vegetables, french fries and a salad. My steak was cooked perfectly which I order extra rare and it’s very hard to get to my liking. The seasonings on the food were perfection (even the fries were better than a lot I had and that was due to correct cooking and seasoning)! I continued eating long after I was full just because I was enjoying it so much. After I was finished I asked Rachel a little bit about the things that go on in the bar in the different events that happen their daily for entertainment such as karaoke DJs and trivia nights. She gave me a little bit of information about each night and invited me to come back and check them out which I certainly plan to do. All in all I would just like to say that it was an amazing experience, And if you get the opportunity you should definitely check it out for yourself!

Had a great time here. It's definitely got a different vibe between day and night! Daytime was the older guys watching TV and playing lottery. Nighttime was younger crowd enjoying dancing and music. Had a good time with both crowds! Service was tougher in the evening when it got crowded.

This place kills it. Food is incredible, service spot on. Locals are welcoming and will make conversation. Brit behind the bar will do everything to make your experience perfect.

I'm an English lass and so want fish and chips on a Friday. Just tried their fish and chip dinner, expecting as always to be disappointed. Not so tonight. Fish was firm and flaky, batter was crunchy..... So similar to home. Definitely got my fix tonight. Will be back again.

The most “bar” bar there is. It’s the best. Great group of people working there. It like a night club after 11 on weekends.

Visited twice during vacations to Les Cheneaux with a great experience both times. Despite only three servers on staff at 4:00 pm on July 6, they did an excellent job working several tables and a near-full bar. Nice teamwork. A pleasant, hardworking, and engaged crew. Beer selection was solid, including full pints of Bell's seasonal Hopslam IPA. COVID-caused shortages and substitutions did not interfere with food that was fast, hot, and tasty.

The food is great, and always fresh. Excellent selection of beers. Clean venue. DJs on the weekend, and sometimes they have live music. Excellent ladies night on Thursdays. Stop by, and tell them the Parrotheads sent you.

This place is a Great bar with great food and awesome waitresses and kitchen staff. Been here a few times since coming to america and I have a nice time here every time and been made to feel very welcome. Also They do a great Long Island ice tea.

Good, quick service and the food is always very tasty. One of my favorite local spots to grab a burger and their sweet potato fries are the best in the area (and covered with honey and cinnamon, so that's part of it!) They have a large selection of appetizers and meal options as well.

Went Saturday afternoon to watch the Tribe Game. Service was Excellent, Rachel the bartender has working the bar/tables by herself and it got fairly busy. She remained attentive to her customers and kept a calm and pleasant attitude! Food was very good( Santa-Fe Salad and Seafood Quesidila was Delicious!

Food is outstanding, you MUST try one of the flat bread pizzas! They r just fantastic and a great value too for what you get. I've had all of the different versions and the seafood / shrimp one is my favorite! Staff is always friendly here too which is always nice!

Stopped in for drinks at the Islander Grill and Coco made the day unforgettable. She’s stunning, witty, and incredibly attentive. Even when a kitchen conflict broke out, she handled it calmly and professionally—never missing a beat with guests. Her personality shines brighter than anything behind the bar. If you’re at the Islander, ask for Coco—you won’t regret it.

Great service, the bartender waitress was alone but never missed a beat with a full bar and medium crowd on the outskirts...nice broad range of beer selections and food was awesome. The seafood Flatbread was surprisingly incredible.

This is a neighborhood bar that is nicely kept up and clean. I've been there 3 times lately, and every time every server has been extremely pleasant and friendly. Two server cooks I have met were also exceptional. Every time, the food has been extremely good. My two friends said their artichoke spinach dip and pizza was the best they've ever had. It was exceptional.

We ordered wings for pick up. Garlic parmesan was amazing. Mild had good flavor, but was slightly overcooked. Would come here again.

The staff is great and so is the dj. The atmosphere is always friendly. French fries are ok but I'm pretty sure they are fried with the chicken and the menu doesn't offer anything else for people with dietary restrictions, so if u are veg definitely eat before you come.

I've traveled all across the country and been to hundreds of dives and The Islander is hands down my favorite place to go. The food is great, the steaks are done perfectly and the staff are all very sweet and attentive, even when it's at full capacity. Coco, thank you for the warm welcome the first night I came in there. Brooklyn, Kate and Amanda, y'all made the best team and a great environment on New Year's, the rest of the staff that I don't recall all of your names, all of you have made this the best place ever. To the local crowd, thank you for making a complete stranger feel very welcome and included. If you're new in town, stop in, you'll find many new friends!

Hidden deliciousness! The service was great; the staff & patrons were all friendly! But he food was the greatest part of the experience. I ordered a bloody Mary and it was superb and filled with thick cut bacon, celery, lemon wedge, and topped with 3 large olives. I had a plain Jane burger cooked medium, it was so flavorful and juicy! Best burger I've had out that tasted this good and fresh! The prices are just right and the quality is even better!! My husband enjoyed their beer selection on tap and the Ruben, it was made just right with the all the fixings .. along side accompanied their kettle chips and a pickle spear. Overall we enjoyed every bit of our visit and will certainly be back again, soon!!

First walked into this place on a random Tuesday in September. Was kinda dark in there, and we were thinking oh boy... There was a free quiz going on which we joined in with. Since that evening, we have been back every Tuesday without fail. The quiz is super fun, the food is actually incredible, and the staff (Britney and Lindsey) are amazing. We felt welcomed from the get go, in fact, the second week we went, they brought the drinks over without even needing our order. We have felt like "regulars" ever since. Each week, the drinks arrive as soon as we do. Its a really great place with a fun atmosphere. The guy who runs the quiz night is also a good laugh.

My husband and I came here for lunch yesterday. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband had the reuben, and I had the big dipper. Our server was Stephanie who had the best personality. She was so friendly. They had their Magartias on special. You have got to give this place a try.

Local bar that has great food. Always Shied away from going there because it looked so crowded on the outside. There was plenty of room on the inside and we were very surprised how good the food was. It was burger night when we were there only eight dollars for a really good burger and fries.

Went here while getting my car serviced at the Honda dealership across the street.. So it was mid afternoon the atmosphere was pretty chill, sports was on all tvs, the bartender was pretty cool and cute! She was on her game. I have to recommend the sweet potato fries with cinnamon and honey! Ooh they were delicious had garlic parm and Carolina BBQ wings very very delicious and my favorite Blue Moon beer while the wife opted for a more powerful Margarita which left her feeling good! Great place to hangout and get something to eat I recommend and will be back...

ruben was less than average, mostly sour kraut. Don't waste money on this sandwich. Got the saur kraut rolls, these are ok....BUT your paying for 1000 Island dressing for the sandwich and the rolls

There was some live DJ performing and engaging the guests with "Find a Song". The place was almost full and the waitress were patient enough to customise our orders!! Like making it with and without chicken!! The special drink was a standout!!

This place has amazing burgers! There really hasn't been anything I haven't liked, not to sound cliche. Super friendly staff and a decent beer selection. This is also coming from an out of towner who is currently in the area for awhile. Definitely check it out.

I would gladly have given this little gem five stars, but the service was on the slow side. Admittedly, we were there on a Friday evening and there were only two servers out front splitting time between the bar and the tables. (maybe bring in a third body for the Friday after-work crowd?) Happy hour drink and appetizer prices were great! Highly recommend the spinach and artichoke dip and quesadilla!

May not look like much from the outside but this local bar has some knockout food. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. If hungry - Definitely get a burger. The Western Burger was full of flavor and huge. Highly recommended! Also a good spot to catch a game or just hang out.

Food is pretty good, enjoyable "bar food" as well as good drinks. Service varies as it gets busy. Tone was fair, deffinately more positive. Cleanliness was very good. I would go back again, for sure. This isn't the place to go for a unique experience, though. Prices are decent.

The food is okay at best for the prices you pay. The service is so variable depending on which bartender you get. But the atmosphere of that place and the convenience is what I go for. It's a cozy bar to unwind at for introverts like myself who don't want people bothering them.

Ive gotten food from here before thats why i cant understand why it was so horrible. I got a walleye fish dinner that was absolutely huge but it tasted horrible. Not seasoned at all. The very blandest thing i have eaten ever. The fishy taste was ridiculous not what you would expect from walleye. i go there for the homemade chips and dip and even those were lacking not to mention the $9 price tag not to mention $20 for fish dinner that me and my wife will not eat. The cat will not even eat the fish after peeling 2inches of badder off. i am thoroughly disappointed and will not be coming back anytime soon

We got here about 1030pm kitchen fried food only. Which is ok if that is what you want, not even a salad. Took a while but the chicken tenders and Mozzarella sticks were hot and fresh. Problem is just loud and slow and the poor kitchen person didn't know where to put the food and was going crazy. I may give them another try, the bar was flowing and where the attention was.

Was here with a large group for a birthday. I enjoy fun, diveyish places, but....Some of the worst mixed drinks I have ever had. I tried a few to give them a chance, the shots were equally as gross. I'm talking just straight well liquor and cheap mix. I didn't eat the food but several other people did and weren't happy. DJ was fine. Basic mainstream and oldies party music. Sheriff IDing at the door hung around and chatted up girls. Not the bars fault but still creepy. I like being optimistic and usually give places a second try but there's was nothing about this place to go back to.

This used to be a great place to visit, mainly for locals during happy hour. Extensive food menu which covers many different bases from steak to burger to funnel fries to burschetta. They are not skimpy on their liquor pours if you spend enough money and tip well. However... when their DJ guy turns off your TouchTunes 20 minutes before his scheduled time and yiu lose a bunch of money... not cool.

Probably has decent food, but literally I must've been the one person who got a bad deal. Spent 11 bucks or so and I got a well done burger which looked like it was slapped together that's more extra burnt than well done on one side. Even the ingredients I asked to exclude were just thrown in around the burger. In addition, I had to wait a good 30 minutes for this garbage to come out. Yet when I called to place the order, I was told 20 minutes. It took 10 minutes to get there because I went somewhere else beforehand. So I waited the last 10 minutes, plus 20 more minutes for a grand total of 40 minutes for it to actually be done.

I used to really enjoy this place. I loved the Caesar salads, Mac n cheese was like no other.. but I’m not gonna even gonna lie, I saw the employee wearing their uniform with this saying on the back: “waking up with a hangover is Gods way of saying you did awesome last night!” And that really rubbed me the wrong way. I’m not even all religious, it’s just hurtful because I know my Father (God) disapproves of getting wasted & waking up hungover. His word says “be sober minded because your adversary the devil roams around like a lion seeking whom he may devour.” It’s against the word of God and I find it disrespectful. Not to me but to God. I hope things change.

The food here was amazing definitely delicious but lemme tell you, the service was absolute dog water. If you're not sitting at the bar forget it. Waitress came up one time and we got one drink even though we were going to order a lot more. It was very obvious we weren't wanted there for whatever reason. Maybe cause we weren't loud and obnoxious old men? Who knows. Either way it's a bummer cause the food is great but that was some of the worst service I've had in a long time

This was one of my favorite bars. It was 80 inside! I don't know if they have a new cook but steak night is no longer my favorite night. The bartenders were amazing as always but food and temp inside was sub par.

Food and service was good. The karaoke, DJ was terrible. He does not know how to rotate songs and he sings songs when they’re busy, absolute amateur move. His friends all got to sing multiple times who weren’t even drinking. We left early and stopped drinking and the bar lost the money because of him. They need to get rid of him immediately and find someone younger that knows how to do the job. Don’t go to sing, it’s a waste of your time. Management needs to do their job and realize he’s bad for business

Overpriced drinks. The "bouncers" would scream at people for not wearing masks when they got up to use the bathroom. It's a good way to get either shot or destroy your business because nobody with self respect will put up with that.

I've been here twice, first time good experience good service second time not so much. They had two bartenders working , one who ignored me the entire night as I tried to order drinks and one who actually did her job. I asked to speak with a manager and everyone informed me that they closed by themseves that there was no manager on duty. Awful service, no reason to be waiting 20+ for a drink at a dive bar like this.

Tap beer prices were way above what was expected. No staff were wearing masks. No signs regarding or provisions for social distancing. Folks at the bar were sitting chatting as pre-Covid. Would have been fine in January..makes me very nervous today!

Wings were barely cooked. We asked for all flats and extra crispy. Got mostly drums and the meat was red. Asked for the check and she brought a shot of jack 😖. We paid and didn’t eat the food.

This place doesn't have hummus most of time. When do get it now has mixture of vegetables etc to lessen costs of production and make it taste terrible. Rude and waitresses take forever to wait on people.

Been a regular customer there for almost 2 years and tip them always well , I know everyone there . if you were to pushed down to the ground and thrown out for doing nothing , it’s your bar. He is not even employee there who threw me out. Some people think they own this bar but they don’t. Remember people Chad own this bar NOT you , I pity on them. Have fun with your little sad and pathetic life. If you don’t know how to treat other people you shouldn’t be in the bars. Be in your own little locker room smh. It was a younger crowd then what expected. Didn't like that it was so hard to get any type of service. Took forever to get a drink had to fight way at bar. Bartender weren't very good at helping everyone. Toilet also broke in women's bathroom so was down to only one toilet and line was out to dance floor.

We are visiting from virginia wanted to check out the place arrived at 10:30pm doors were locked the hours said open till 12 midnight I called the place while in the parking lot the lady that answered said they were closed because they were slow i tokd her it's 10 of us and she still proceed to say they were closed very sad bout it.

Drove all the way from Cleveland to pick up an order. Get home. Your Shrimp Basket says comes with fries... Had 0 fries. You put lettuce. Your pizza wasn't in a box, it was in a foam box so the cheese stuck all over it and melted some of it. It also was very soggy. The wings were good but you forgot a sauce on the side of the 2 we ordered. The chicken quesadilla was very soggy as well. Tired to call to let them know they were missing food from my order and no answer. No more take out orders from here ever again. The dudes who were doing keroke when I went in were awesome. I haven't seen a karaoke bar that live in a while. Kudos to those karaoke guys.

This place is the worst. Do not come here if you have a big party. Our party called way ahead of time to let them know we would be having dinner here and we waited 3 hours to be served. We all got our food at different times and did not eat together. When I discussed it with our waitress she gave me a hard time about any discount on our bill she was rude. The owners should consider running this business much better and staffed to serve bigger parties. Total disappointment!

Ordered food togo, upon arriving i told them the name for the order. The bartender goes back to the kitchen and comes back out to inform me that they are out of ribs. Being the main reason i ordered and not wanting to wait longer for different food to be made i just asked to be refunded. Was told by the bartender that she canceled the order so i should be refunded if not call back. So after a week of not seeing anything i tried again and my information was passed along to the owner. Its been about a month now and havent received a refund, haven't heard a thing from the owner, and have had money stole from me at this point. Be warned if you try to order takeout...

I had an infuriating experience at the islander bar and grill]. The bartender crossed a major line by contacting my ex-boyfriend, while I have a restraining order, and shared my friend's credit card information with him. This led to relentless harassment, while he was on the way to confront me, I quickly left the bar to avoid him. When I called to discuss my concerns, a woman picked up the phone and when I asked for the owner, she said there’s no manager nor boss to discuss about what had happened. I went out of my way to to call his second bar(Fire 45), Which Chad (the owner) had answered. When I raised my concerns with the owner, he not only dismissed them but actually laughed, claiming there was nothing he could do. Such blatant disregard for customer safety and privacy is appalling. Avoid this place at all costs!

I’m fairly new to Cleveland so I’ve been trying to get out and explore new places. The islander itself is a nice bar with good music, and the food is okay, but that’s where everything good stops. The location is VERY hard to find parking especially at night as it’s settled in a complex with 15+ other businesses. The bartenders here are what made this whole experience bad. There were 3 working behind the bar, with no tables seated and not that full of a bar, which means there was no reason for me to not get service as i also directly sat in front of a POS station. I sat there for a good 10 minutes being actively ignored (they were too busy having other conversations between themselves and other people) even after I had to flag them down to just get one drink. Took another 20 mins to get a menu and another drink. It could be the fact that they’re too busy focused on the “regulars”, that they don’t care, or the fact that we were the only “minorities” in this bar. Either way I won’t be back to have another bad experience of horrible bar service. The Local Bar in Strongsville will forever be my home base hands down and if you haven’t went there then I suggest you check them out.

We came in around 1:30am, the bar was still pretty full but not busy. We had a bartender named Amanda and she was not the nicest at all. My friend wanted a dirty martini and she said “at this hour”. She rolled her eyes and gave us a nasty attitude.It took her only a couple seconds to make the drink. Will not be coming back here.
