Really, really great food, great service with smiles all round from helpful staff. Always the right dish served in good time. A small business so if it gets very busy the wait is a little longer but we'll worth the wait. We are regulars as its very pleasant all round.

Anna is just the absolute best. She really catered to my allergies and was just so sweet. We will be back and the food is delicious.

We tried all the Chinese take away in Felixstowe!!!! So far this one is the best!! It’s the only Chinese takeaway that the local international school students eat at… Definitely 10 out of 10. I personally recommend: Singapore style rice noodles Hot and sour soup

I've had a lot better food from other nearby Chinese takeaways...I have used them all in the felixstowe area this place is NOT the worst, but I doubt I'll use it again

Sadly, the food quality seems to have taken a dip since being taken over by new owners.

Another order (3rd in a row) where , even after getting the person taking the order to read it back to me, they've sent me home with the wrong dishes in my order. This time was take away for 7 of us. 1st time was someone elses order completely, 2nd was a meal for 1 and 2 wong dishes. How hard can it be!? Foods ok, just a bit annoying to get home and either have to go back while people eat theirs or just have the wrong dish.

Used to love this place under old management but has really gone downhill recently very greasy (even fir a chinesse) also not as much flavour as before.

Avoid and find another take away food was terrible waited over an hour for it got home to find the main dish was missing has happened to me before but decided I won’t bother using again not worth the money or bother

I love magic wok always go there but 1.5 hr wait for food is insane. Do they not have any staff ??? Bring back the previous owners. 45 mins max.

If you like the taste of oil go for it , my arteries will take a week to recover

Used to be the best in Felixstowe however it has unfortunately gone downhill over the last few weeks. The last order wasn’t particularly hot also it was missing the rice for a curry. Such a shame as the food always used to be lovely. Don’t know what you’ve changed but please change it back.

I used to buy from them at least once a month and food was good but this time very dissapointed. I spent over £30 and most of food end up in the bin. Singaporian chow main have very different taste, like old and and dry, other meal beef very dry like old. i will not use that place again.

Worse takeaway food I’ve ever had service was even worse. burnt over cooked food ordered prawn got pork spoke English when I ordered claimed to not when I asked for the food to be changed or a refund refused both if you could give zero stars I would give zero stars

We waited 2hours for our food then when we got it it was cold waiting in the shop was cold next to no heating and no explanation as to why it took so long will not be going again

5th! Wrong order. Realised once home. Again. 1 wrong item, 1 missing. So annoying. Singapore rice noodles ordered with chicken requested as the only meat. 2 pieces of pepper, 2 strips of carrot. Tasted burnt. Ridiculously hot! I love spicy food, but this was off the chart. Will be last time I use this place.

We used to go to Magic Wok before it got taken over by new owners and it was our favourite place! But honestly now I am a bit sickened. I ordered Special Chow Mien and with the meat, I got some sort of organ. I know it’s an organ because it has small tubes and little tiny bits too. I do not expect to be paying nearly £40 for 3 people and then getting organ meat with a meal that doesn’t include organ meat. The peppers are also not cooked right. I just wish the rest of the meals could be up to the noodles standard, since they are lovely. I understand inflation, but the prices have gone up hugely and if we are paying extra I expect to get what I pay for.

We ordered sweet & Sour chicken. It didn’t look like chicken nor did it taste like chicken. We had no idea what we were eating. There was parts of the chicken that looked like they had mould on them. It definitely wasn’t fresh whatever it was. We also ordered Szechuan chicken. It was flavourless and I had to add seasoning and it was not spicy. Last but not least we also ordered an omelette which was very dry looked like it had just been thrown in the container. Very disappointing. My grandson cried. Some of the chips were not cooked. I really hope we are not Unwell tomorrow. For the £36 we spent we feel let down Won’t use them again

Purchased tonight 18/10/20 chicken curry and special fried rice and two spring rolls for £11.10 and wish I hadn't. The chicken curry sauce was very runny and the spring rolls were awful, in fact I only ate half of one and threw the rest away but what's worse is there was a shard of bone in the spring roll about the size of a five pence piece. The special fried rice was ok with no complaint. I ate the chicken curry which was ok apart from the runny sauce. I will not go there again.

I've been twice in the last couple of weeks and I ended up with lukewarm food each time. They tell you they will ring you when your food is ready. Tonight they waited almost 10 minutes to make that call, leaving my food to grow cold. The food was tepid, and I ate some and then gave up and threw the rest in the bin. A couple of weeks ago I went there, and they kept me hanging around in the reception, watching my food grow cold as they made phone calls and did other little tasks. Clearly they have a problem; and they need to fix it. In the mean time, unless you like half-heated food and stress, avoid.

I never ever post reviews but this was so bad it had to be done! Ordered 2 chicken chow mein’s and I’ve never tasted something so rancid from ANY takeaway before! It tasted of what stale cigarettes smell of … if that makes any sense! It was not fresh by any means but the taste was so awful I threw it in the bin! And I don’t normally leave anything on the plate when takeaway is concerned!

A couple of months ago I stopped off on the way home for a chicken chow mein and it was so oily. I put it down to a one off. However, I ordered beef in black bean sauce tonight and it’s was so oily it was completely inedible. Also I saw that 10p got added to my order. I didn’t say anything. Got home and there were 2 baby spring rolls (not that you would call them spring rolls as it pretty much just pastry) that I didn’t ask for. Not too sure if its changed hands but I definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Food was awful! Waited 50 minutes insead of 30 like we were told. No apologies & the food was bland & unappealing. Total waste of money!

Tried this place for the first time as it’s our new ‘local’ takeaway. Couldn’t get through by phone so went in person. Ordered a very simple meal for two and sat to wait…and wait..and wait. Phone orders were on loudspeaker so all callers conversations, name and number were heard by everyone waiting, including the first caller who was told his order would be an hour! Next caller had a shellfish allergy and after lengthy discussions was told the chef could clean the wok out. A chap waiting in person was suddenly told the chef was in hospital and his son, who was cooking, didn’t know how to make the dish he’d ordered. He chose something else, only to be told it wasn’t available - as was his next choice. By then I’d been waiting 35 minutes, when my name was called - not to collect my order but to be told the chicken chow mein wasn’t available. I can only presume the chef’s son didn’t know the recipe! I requested my money back and left - and consider we probably had a lucky escape!

Food took an eternity to get and the orders seemed disorganised. Had a special chow mein which was extremely watery and which had no bean sprouts or noodles. Also the shrimp fried rice was just pure stoge. I threw that away and hand a sandwich instead. This used to be a great Chinese but not now. Will not go back again

Had a beef curry, rice. Very nice until 2.30 in the morning I woke up violently sick & diarea. It couldn't have been anything else that I had eaten as that was the only meal I had that day. Ruined my birthday treat.

Very poor from Magic Wok was told 40 mins wait, no phone call to say food was ready so drove there to the sight of 10 other people surrounding the counter waiting for food. On speaking to the staff on the counter we were told it would take an extra 20 mins after feeling very frustrated we finally got our food after an hour half. The food was very overcooked and tasteless. Such a shame as Magic Wok used to be a very good and a reliable Chinese.

Hace un par de meses, de camino a casa, paré a comer chow mein de pollo y estaba muy grasiento. Lo atribuí a una ocasión única. Sin embargo, esta noche pedí carne de res en salsa de frijoles negros y estaba tan grasienta que era completamente incomible. También vi que me habían añadido 10 peniques a mi pedido. No dije nada. Llegué a casa y había dos rollitos de primavera (no es que se les llame así, ya que prácticamente son solo hojaldre) que no pedí. No estoy seguro de si cambió de dueño, pero definitivamente no lo recomiendo.

¡La comida era horrible! Esperamos 50 minutos en lugar de 30 como nos dijeron. No nos disculpamos y la comida era sosa y poco apetitosa. ¡Una pérdida de dinero total!

La comida tardó una eternidad en llegar y los pedidos parecían desorganizados. Pedí un chow mein especial que estaba extremadamente aguado y sin brotes de soja ni fideos. Además, el arroz frito con camarones era puro estofado. Lo tiré y pedí un sándwich. Antes era un restaurante chino excelente, pero ya no. No volveré.

Comí curry de carne con arroz. Estuve muy bien hasta las 2:30 de la madrugada, cuando me desperté con náuseas y diarrea. No podía haber comido otra cosa, ya que fue lo único que comí ese día. Arruinó mi regalo de cumpleaños.
