The owner was very welcoming, and the coffee came out very quickly. I’ve been to several Maman locations, but the Design District one is my favorite. The ambiance is spectacular, the service is lovely, and their coffee is always on point. Today I tried a coffee with pistachio milk and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely a place I keep coming back to.

I remember when Maman first opened in New York—it has always been my favorite. I don't think the brand has been very successful in branching out, as I haven’t enjoyed most of the other locations. But the Design District location has become our go-to spot every morning. It's a beautiful space, and the staff always make us feel at home—they're friendly and helpful. I’ve been here many times, and it truly is a lovely spot. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the coffee is consistently great, and the desserts are genuinely delicious — clearly made with care. One small suggestion: when customers say they’re having their order for here and are sitting at the tables, it would be great if mugs and proper metal flatware were the default. Having to ask for them feels unnecessary and slightly breaks the experience, especially in an otherwise thoughtful, well-curated place. It’s a minor pet peeve, but an easy improvement that would elevate the experience even more. I’ll absolutely keep coming back — this place has a lot going for it. ☕️🍰

I was shopping in the Miami Design District when I stumbled upon this place — and wow! Hands down, one of the best avocado toasts I’ve ever had. The focaccia was super crispy, the avocado fresh, and the bacon perfectly crunchy. The young server was amazing — I wish I remembered his name! He looked like Bad Bunny’s younger brother. This international coffee/cafe chain is great. Always great service, delicious assortment of unique pastries, and cool vibes. I ordered a dirty chai here and it was very good. The chocolate chip, Tahini vegan cookie was interesting. It was like a mature chocolate chip cookie. Not horrible but not the best cookie I've ever had. It was OK. This location is smaller than most with only four small tables indoor and the rest outside with umbrella shade.

This particular location in Design District definitely lives up to the hype, always bustling with people but somehow still managing to keep things running smoothly. I’m a big fan of their avocado toast, which is super fresh and tasty. And if you need your caffeine fix, their americano has just the right amount of acidity to wake you up in the morning. Maman never fails in terms of flavor and quality. The michele sandwhich was amazing and the latte as well! Place is a bit crowded since it's inside the plaza. Be aware that menu is limited in comparison to the regular Mamans.

Although I’m still quite new to Maman, I’ve already tried four different items from the menu, and each one has been absolutely delicious. I’ve even discovered a few new ingredients through their creative dishes, which has made the experience even more enjoyable. On top of the amazing food, the staff is truly outstanding. Every time I visit, even when it’s extremely busy, the service is as quick and efficient as can be. It’s clear the team, led by who seems to be the manager, is incredibly organized and committed to making sure every guest has a great experience. I’m excited to keep coming back and trying even more from the menu! And of course, every time I come in, Jas helps me up front!😊 her and the team always get my order quickly and correctly.

We really liked this place. It has a really nice and calm vibe and a clean terrace. Yayi was our server and she was so sweet and so helpful and really on top of everything. The only thing we didn’t like was the cutlery was plastic even though the plates weren’t. It made the food kind of hard to cut through and eat with, but nevertheless we really enjoyed Maman and Yayi

The service & the scene are fantastic. I've been twice though, and I feel like the pastries are mediocre to average. Nothing particularly bold. Sub-par lamination. They tend to feel like they lack passion and/or inspiration. The Martha Stewart lemon sugar bun felt overfilled with what seemed like a slightly lemony diplomat's cream. I wouldn't have said anything, but I just got a quiche Lorraine. This is possibly the worst non-vegan quiche I've ever had. The crust is okay. The filling is under seasoned and feels exceptionally bland. The bacon, which I think they're using thick ham is extremely dry and flavorless. If my first attempt at making something 25ish years ago, before the availability of resources like chatgpt, YouTube, Allrecipes, or gronda is better than a professional kitchen, you need to reassess something. Again EVERYTHING HERE IS GREAT, except the food. The coffee is above average. The food on the level of a supermarket's bakery department

The sandwich I ordered was delicious and I am definitely coming back to try the beautiful pastries I saw in the counter. The staff was very nice, only gave it 4 stars since this isn’t a sit down kind of place. You have to order at the counter and wait kinda deal no big problem. The area is beautiful and the seating area outside is nice. The inside isnt really much or at least I didn’t see any seating inside for when the weather gets warmer. Definitely will be back and try more items.

The food was okay. The avocado toast in theory works in practice it does not because the very thin slice of bread makes it hard to eat, gets soggy quick and also it’s hard to cut it with the plastic utensils so something that could’ve been easy to eat becomes and adventure. Also the pastries looked okay not delicious and not fresh On the other hand, service was amazing. Yay was the server and she was so so so amazing at what she does. You would see her with everyone, serving with. Smile and also making sure she went above her responsibility. Was on top of things and treated everything and everyone with excellence.

I ordered the Wilde sandwich and thought it was okay. I also tried the matcha latte, but it didn’t taste that great to me, it was a bit too bland. I think it might be better with a different matcha ratio.

I had a good experience overall, but I wanted to share a constructive observation. While I was there, I noticed that at least five different people left most of the vegetables from the ratatouille on their plates. The portion of vegetables served with this dish seems to be excessive, and because of that, a lot of food ends up being wasted. Since the leftovers cannot be reused, this results in unnecessary food waste. I believe this is something worth reviewing — either by adjusting the portion size or slightly modifying the menu. Smaller portions would likely reduce waste and still keep the dish enjoyable. I’m sharing this as friendly feedback, with the intention of helping improve an already good experience.

One of the most beautiful looking cafe I have visited but I won’t say the same for food, too salty too raw (should be notified as people might not be used to raw food)- and bread must have been grilled 2-3 times so crust was already black and just before being burnt was pulled out. Even the cheese savoury I picked up was stale and was not tasty. Matcha latte was the only saving grace of what we had - NOT the best first meal of the day in the most fanciest place of Design District. I think there needs to be more emphasis on quality as you already have the high footfall and if you are charging a premium in such a niche area with a legacy to follow.

Atmosphere was nice. Ordered an iced coffee and the barista made a hot coffee by mistake. Instead of making a new one he just poured ice on my hot coffee. Tasted terrible and watered down.

Great food, disastrous service. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. The breakfast, coffee, and snack selection is well thought out, with both sweet and savory options made with high-quality products. From a food perspective, the standard is genuinely high. Unfortunately, the experience is completely ruined by terrible organization and service. Waiting times are excessive even for the simplest orders, like a cappuccino. Food arrives without cutlery. Orders are shouted across the bar, names are yelled constantly, and despite having numbers on the tables, the staff struggles to deliver orders correctly. Customers are forced to chase their own service, repeatedly asking where their order is. The staff is friendly, but clearly poorly trained and badly managed. The overall impression is confusion and chaos, not hospitality. This is not acceptable for a place that positions itself as a relaxed, high-quality spot. It’s a real shame, because the atmosphere and location are lovely — perfect in theory to chill, relax, chat, and recharge. In practice, the constant yelling and disorganization destroy any sense of calm. In short: excellent food and vibes, but management and service need a serious overhaul. Until then, it’s hard to enjoy what could otherwise be a great place.
