It was so fun to try the traditional dishes here. I tried the fiori di zucca, risotto salato, and for dessert the gelato al forno (which I'll be dreaming of)). It was truly delicious and the very kind waiter was happy to explain everything and give us some tips about the city itself. The atmosphere and furnishing was cozy, and very unique. Would highly recommend going here.

The food was wonderful- in particular the pasta with calamari, zucchini and bottargna roe (pictured here.) The service was also incredible as it was crowded by our amazingly efficient waitress kept the whole room running perfectly and our food came out quickly and was delicious. It’s also a great deal and would cost twice as much in the US. If I’m back in Milan I’m definitely returning!

We had a great experience at La Libéra. The staff was friendly and welcoming. For starters, we shared a very good vitello tonnato, followed by the veal chop Milanese, which was excellent, and a special ravioli pasta that was also very tasty. To finish, the tiramisu was outstanding. We highly recommend this restaurant for both its food and service.

Molto buono! Outstanding food, service and decor. We had the artichoke salad with Parmesan which was absolutely delicious. the super rich pici pasta with Pistachio pesto - oh wow, just sooo good. The sauté of seabass with capers and olive was our favourite. Our favourite meal in Milano in terms of local cuisine.

Every aspect of this place is fantastic - the decor; the atmosphere; the genuine friendliness of the staff, especially with a 1 year old. We enjoyed the delicious Milanese food especially the risotto and the cotoletta - a great place frequented by locals who all seem to know the staff. We will be back.

We were lucky and were able to get a table without reservation. We could only stay for almost two hours before the people came in that reserved which was enough for us. The waiter who attended us was so funny and kind to us. If anyone gets Domenieu, you will have a great waiter who will help you with the wine and getting a great experience of the restaurant. Their wines are very good and their pastas excellent too, enough to eat too

We really enjoyed this place. Honestly the atmosphere was a 10/10 and reminded me so much of my favorite restaurant back home. The staff was very accommodating and attentive to our table which I really appreciated. Incredible wine list with list of options to choose from. Now the food… I did enjoy the food but the highlight of our meal was the chocolate soufflé! The sea bass was a little overcooked and my husband’s steak was rare not medium rare and the sauce overpowered the steak but everything was really good.

Authentic food and atmosphere. We sat outside, so keep in mind people next to you will most probably smoke and spaces between the tables are kept to a minimum. The main waiter was very accommodating and made the experience even better. We booked a table as it was Sunday evening, but if you eat earlier than locals there is no need for it.

We’ve been here several times in the past and always adored the place—the atmosphere, the experience: entering, going down a few steps, and then heaven—the light, the shadows, the ceiling, the wall of wine bottles! But this time, we were really disappointed. The wine was overpriced, as is everything in today’s Italy, especially in overtouristic Brera. The salad was soggy, and the pasta overly voluminous. One of the waiters was really professional, the others overworked, tired, underpaid, probably a combination of this all.

Service is the top. Ambiance is good. Food is average, nothing special. I would say "bad" considering the price. I get the same in an entry level trattoria at lunch. It's good for the service and the ambiance, but Milano has better to offer.
