Omg.. if you come to Minneapolis and do not go here.. you have missed out on one of life’s best experiences. In fact if you think otherwise DM me and I’ll refund you. The staff is amazing, the food is incredible. So glad to have been here. The desertthe whiskey bread pudding, make sure you get a coffee at the same time, take a bite and then drink some coffee! Heck even get an espresso shot and add it to the desert. You won’t be disappointed!

Brunch this morning was delicious! I had the lobster salad paired with Sauvignon blanc and my husband had steak and eggs with a side of bacon. There was tons of lobster in my salad and his steak was the most tender strip he’s ever had. We love bread pudding and it’s hard for us to let one go and that was a good dessert. Alan makes the best espresso martinis FYI.

Manny’s is an absolute legend in Minneapolis—and it lives up to the hype every time. The energy, the service, the classic steakhouse atmosphere—it’s all dialed in. I had the NY strip, which was cooked to perfection, with that rich, bold flavor you’d expect from a top-tier cut. We also shared the scallop and short rib sliders, and they were outstanding—unique, flavorful, and a great way to kick off the meal. Whether you’re a local or visiting, Manny’s is a must. It’s not just dinner—it’s an experience. A true Twin Cities institution.

We had the best time at Mannys! Sam was our waiter and he did an absolutely amazing job serving us. His attention to detail was incredible and he went above and beyond on service and making sure we had exactly what we needed. The food was terrific, steaks , hash browns and the lobster crab cake was loaded with lobster and absolutely fab! A must visit.

We had an amazing dinner here! The service was top shelf and so were the cocktails. They carve up the lobster tail for you to share. The bone in ribeye and porterhouse steaks were incredible.

Great brunch spot! The steak and eggs is an amazing value and top quality flavor. Grab a drink and brunch at the bar and enjoy the atmosphere and camaraderie!

Great food from the main course to the sides and dessert! Service was top-notch, with visuals of every cut of steak ahead of time, taking you through which is which, all dressed as an tasteful amalgam of waiter and butcher. Each steak, burger, and fish was cooked to our specifications, signature drinks were excellent (the Pineapple Express was tasty). We got seated in the bar immediately on a Saturday night - despite me making reservations for the wrong place - and it felt barely different than what must be the dining area.

My favorite restaurant on the planet. If you’ve never had their 85-day dry aged ribeye, all I can say is it’s transformative. The bacon appetizer is similarly otherworldly, so don’t skip it. You’re gonna pay for it, but you’re destined to have one of the best meals of your life. Everything here is a 11/10.

When it comes to steakhouses, Manny's not only lives up to its reputation as one of the top steakhouses in the nation but exceeds expectations in every way imaginable. From the moment you step into its elegant yet inviting ambiance, you know you’re in for an extraordinary dining experience. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between upscale luxury and cozy warmth. The dim lighting sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. Impeccable service defines Manny's. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft. Whether you’re asking about wine pairings or debating between cuts, their expertise elevates the experience. The star of the show is, of course, the steak. Cooked to absolute perfection, each bite is a masterclass in flavor and tenderness. The seabass is a revelation, with its rich, buttery finish. The sides, appetizers, and desserts were equally impressive. The wine list is extensive, with something to please every palate and complement any dish. Their craft cocktails are equally notable. Manny's justifies its acclaim with flawless execution in every department. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience worth savoring, celebrating, and repeating. Whether for a special occasion or a splurge-worthy night out, this steakhouse earns every bit of its status.

Delicious food and the waiter was knowledgeable. He showed us each cut of the meat and explained it. This place is definitely a formal place. You'd want to wear something nice. I highly suggest you try the Mac and cheese they have for a side! I came here for my birthday and they gave me a chocolate cake with rum cake that was delicious! 10/10 service and food.

Had a great lunch here with my wife! Good selection and amazing service! We want to come back and try the supper menu, it seems much more elevated than the lunch menu. Good work, keep it up! Cheers!

Heard a lot about this place and had to check it out while in town. The vibe is like a classic steak house with passionate waiters. They even come show you all the dry aged cuts of beef they serve. Everything was delicious, though the brocoli was a bit strange that it came out basically with the whole stem still attached. Drinks are strong!

Great classic steakhouse! Expect good meat, large portions, and great service. The steaks were perfectly cooked to our request, and we were happy with the sides that were ordered. Come here expecting to leave full!

The first thing that stood out to me about the Manny’s experience is the interactive visual menu where the server first brings many of the cuts and options on a cart to the table to explain the menu, then hands out actual paper menus to the table to make order decisions. I enjoyed getting the full overview of the menu even for options I wasn’t considering. The dining for sides is family style with lots of great options. We tried the truffle fries which came with a phenomenal smoked ketchup, and the asparagus which was brilliantly cooked and salted. For entrees we had the filet, the deep fried shrimp, and the Maine lobster cakes. I personally had the main lobster cakes and was pleasantly surprised by this lobster centric take on crab cakes. Manny’s is a great option if you’re looking to treat yourself and especially if you like steaks.

Probably the best dining experiences I've had in the twin cities area. Service was phenomenal, wish I could remember our waitresses name to give her the shout-out she deserves. Food came out timely and was some of the most delicious food I've ever eaten. I will definitely be coming back when I can make room for Manny's in the budget.

SO SO GOOD Manny's Steakhouse in Minneapolis is the rare place that makes you wish rating systems went to six stars. A golden buzzer, if you will. I visited twice in the evening and once for breakfast, and not a single note was missed. Everything was FLAWLESS. The martinis were cold, confident, and dangerously dirty. The calamari was crisp and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere was loud in just he right way: buzzing, celebratory, alive. Breakfast somehow matched the energy. The Bloody Mary was bold and balanced, not a novelty glass of chaos. The eggs Benedict were genuinely mind-blowing and rich, perfectly cooked, and clearly made by people who care deeply about doing classics correctly. Manny's Steakhouse doesn't just live up to its reputation; it earns it repeatedly. This is a restaurant operating at full confidence, and the experience shows it.

After having a bad experience the night before at a different steak house, we decided to go to Mannys while visiting Minneapolis for an event. Great food, great service! Our drinks were good, The main dishes were perfectly cooked, the dessert was on point. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area 😋

What a delightful first-time experience at Manny's! The food was exceptional; great steaks, pasta, and fish, as was the service. Thank you to Tony and Manuel! You made our evening special. We highly recommend and we will definitely be returning soon! The Dunford Family

This restaurant is quite popular in the evening. They have a delicious selection of different cuts of meat and lobster. I highly recommend the Porterhouse and the Ribeye bone-in. The sides are generous and meant to be shared. For dessert, I highly recommend the strawberries with a scoop of ice cream (they come with delicious cream). It’s also a great place to get an early morning breakfast. It’s quieter than Manny’s in the evening, making it the perfect place to start your busy day. The staff is attentive and has a good eye for detail. They’re friendly, especially once they recognize you.

We came to Manny’s on a cold Saturday night with a 5:15 reservation for three. It was not very busy when we arrived, but was picking up as we left close to 7pm. This is not somewhere we would typically take our six-year-old, but it was a family date night, if you will. Everything we ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly and the drinks were strong. Our server was very accommodating for our child and helped us make choices we all approved of. We ordered a Caesar salad, filet mignon, porterhouse steak, macaroni and cheese, and broccoli hollandaise. My husband had a gin and tonic, I had a lychee martini, and our son had a strawberry lemonade. We all enjoyed everything and wish we had time (and room) for dessert!

My wife and I went here for our 21st wedding anniversary. I have always been wanting to try it and this was our first time here. We will be returning soon! Our waitress Nancy was phenomenal! She gave us the rundown and answered our questions. My wife Chicken Milanese and I had the 85 day aged ribeye. I firmly believe that I can grill a steak better than 98% of the restaurants I’ve been to. This is the 2%! Truly one of the best steaks I have ever had! The crust and the flavor was next level! The portions for the sides were an entire meal themselves! We were both stuffed and were not even interested in dessert but Nancy surprised us with a Baileys chocolate mousse cake! We were just going to have one fork full but ended up devouring half it before we realized it! We can’t wait to return!

We ate at Manny’s for my burger on Saturday night. It was incredible. Made even better by our server, Dan. The food was incredible. We got the biggest lobster tail that we shared with our steaks. 28 ounces!! We had a great time. The brownie dessert we shared was so good too. Thanks Dan!!

I had a fantastic experience at Manny’s. The food was delicious — I ordered from the lunch menu. A special shoutout to my server, Kathryn, who was outstanding. She gave me great recommendations and made sure everything was just right. The entire staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, which made the anfternoon enjoyable. I’m already looking forward to our next visit! 🥃

Manny’s has been my go-to restaurant for the past few years. The food and service are always top-tier. In particular, John has been our favorite waiter! He consistently provides a wonderful dining experience and goes above and beyond to make every visit memorable.

Man, I tell you what, it has been years since I visited Manny’s but I have been missing out! The meat presentation was phenomenal as was our waiter, Jacko! It was our anniversary so they treated my wife and I to a free desert as well! I ordered the bone-in ribeye and my wife got the vegetarian pasta. We shared a side of loaded mashed potatoes without bacon and they were the best potatoes I have ever had! They were very accommodating for my celiac and asked all of the right questions and checked back regularly.

Solo dining at the bar. The Martinis are huge and delicious. I had a dry aged rib-eye and loaded mashed potatoes. Food was excellent! Portions are big and you better share a steak and a side with someone. Dark, old school steakhouse vibe.

Eating at Manny's, you can understand why it has been a landmark eatery in the Twin Cities area and continues to attract professional athletes for dinners out on the town. The steaks here are massive, the portions for sides and every other dish are ample and ready to share. The prices are all high as well, but Manny's is a singular dining experience that is likely best reserved for special occasions and best for groups. The NY Strip I had was excellent. I had friends who put down 60-70 oz steaks (or attempted to in one case), but the NY Strip was a more reasonable sized cut. We shared the Loaded Mash (outstanding and lived up to the loaded description) and Asparagus and a salad. For dessert, we shared the Bailey's Cake. The only dish that was less memorable was the Asparagus, which was steamed instead of grilled/roasted. Otherwise, the meal was excellent, the dining environment was fun and energetic, and the service was great. We left with leftover mashed potatoes and a one person took home part of his tomahawk steak. I anticipate this is an experience that is best shared with a group of 4+ given the shareable nature of the sides. The wait staff engage the dinner as a unique outing and talk you through the experience.

Excellent service and food. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. I had the strip loin and my friend had the Porterhouse. Both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The deserts were huge but excellent. A great night!

We decided to try Manny’s for a rare date night. We arrived a bit before our reservation and were informed that a booth had just opened for us. The service from the staff was impeccable, attentive, helpful with recommendations, and perfectly timed with injections of humor. The food was excellent. We had the porterhouse, shrimp scampi, truffle fries, and the mushroom side dish, all of which were well prepared and quite good. The desserts being brought to other tables looked great, but we unfortunately didn’t have room to try any this time. It certainly wasn’t inexpensive, but the experience helped balance the cost. After dinner, we enjoyed a drink next door at the conveniently located Living Room lounge, which was a great way to wrap up the evening.

My wife and I celebrated our birthdays with friends. The night was perfect! Chris, our waiter took great care of us. The steaks were as amazing as you'd expect them to be. The Manny's Manhattan was the best Manhattan I've ever had, bar none.

It was my second time at Manny’s and it just keeps getting better. Our waiter John was incredible. Not only did he remember us from our previous visit, but he was personable, professional, and always leaves us wanting to come back the next night. Will absolutely be dining here again.

One of the best steaks in Minnesota and the waiters are so kind. My waiter Dave was super helpful and very kind. The double porterhouse was very good and there home made ketchup was amazing. Would recommend to anybody that is celebrating a event or just wants to go out for dinner.

Shout out to the front of house staff for getting my large group party squeezed into a table on the same day as I called. Great experience and very good steak. Our server Tony was knowledgeable about all of the cuts and was able to give us great recommendations for sharing. The portions are huge. Salads are big enough to share. Sides are big enough to share for a table of 8! It was insane. The asparagus was under seasoned. But the au gratin was great and the mushrooms were delicious. The beats were a surprising winner as well on the seasonal menu. I split the small Porter house and it was extremely tender and had great flavor. Every bite as good as the previous. Shout out for the dirty martinis as well

C

Food was top notch. Large enough portions to share. We were a group of 6 and were able to share the sides. Service was attentive and consistent. Atmosphere was loud. The restaurant was full on a Friday night so we basically had to yell at each other which also mean everyone else was loud around us.

Mannys is always amazing. It has a great atmosphere and attentive serving staff. I never have to worry about getting a bad meal either. Our waiter Tony was great! It was a girls night out and we bought one New York strip steak and he had them cut it up for us because we can’t eat a whole one by ourselves. It was very much appreciated.

I've been hearing about this place almost my whole life. I went there last night with my mom for the first time to celebrate my 42nd birthday. Our waiter was Dan and I'll come back to him later! With their portion sizes, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they serve 10 to 15 cows per night!! I ordered the porterhouse steak, which was almost perfect! I ordered it medium rare, but it wasn't very consistent and some parts looked like it was flash cooked. Mom got the double cut ribs! Holy hell was that massive!!! The flavor was amazing, but the outer layer was REALLY salty!! Now back to Dan! Oooooh Danny! He provided us one of the best wait staff experiences i can remember having! He was very friendly, engaging, super patient, and definitely knew what the hell he was talking about! My mom had a brain fart and thought she had ordered the half rack instead of the double!! Which the three of us got a good laugh from!! When Dan heard it was my birthday, here took it ionic himself to order us some kind of chocolate cheesecake type deal, and ehrmahgerd was that good (chef's kiss)!! Thank you Manny's, and a special thank you to Dan for the outstanding birthday experience!! P.S. Your Stupid Opinions? If you ever cover Manny's, please read my review. If i could leave more than 5 stars, I WOULD!!!

Tonight was my first time dining at Manny's. I didnt know what to expect, how big the portions would be or if I was going to leave with a huge bill and still hungry. I was pleasantly surprised with the laid back atmosphere and how down to earth the staff was that helped us choose our steak cuts. We had Kimberly and Tammy and a very hard working gentleman throughout the night. They made it fun and relaxing. My best friend and I split a 12 oz NY strip, a caprase salad, hash with onions and a chocolate mouse cake and left stuffed. We even took home leftovers. Our bill was about $170 before tip. It was a lovely evening celebrating our birthdays and friendship. P.S. Dont be too shy to ask for Ketchup they will only embarrass you a little bit. 😉

Manny's is a fantastic dining experience. From entrance to table the atmosphere is calm and serene. The upbeat wait staff brought a great energy to the evening and showed off the many different cuts of meat they had to offer. The steak cut like butter and the flavors were not over powering. Our waiter even gave us some warnings about serving sizes and some wonderful recommendations. Thank you for the great experience!

Manny’s absolutely lived up to the hype, and a huge part of that was our server, “Original” Tony. From the moment he showed up at the table, he was spot-on, and genuinely spectacular. Super attentive without hovering, explained everything we needed to know, answered questions like a pro, and had an awesome sense of humor that made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun. You can tell he loves what he does, and it shows in his personality and service. The food? Top notch with quality ingredients. The loaded mashed potatoes were rich and perfect, and the ribeye steaks were cooked exactly how each of us ordered them. Manny’s horseradish cream steak sauce was next level. It honestly put the whole meal over the top. There were 8 of us, and even with just a call five minutes before, they were welcoming, prepared, and had everything set up seamlessly. No stress, no attitude, just top tier hospitality. Between Tony’s standout service and personality and the incredible food, this was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Manny’s is the real deal, and Tony is a big reason why we’ll be back.

Nice restaurant. I like the prime rib medium plus, the perfect texture. And cream spinach . The lobster soup is excellent.

This was an amazing evening. The waiters are fun to watch. They all give their presentation a little bit differently. The food was absolutely amazing. Though, I did have to finnish cooking my left over Bludgeon at home, It absolutely was raw in the middle. The lobster mac-n-cheese is to die for.

I’ve been waiting to experience Manny’s for yearssss, unfortunately it did not live up to the hype for me 😩 The atmosphere is beautiful, our waiter was great, very attentive and friendly. We had a reservation for 7:15 and were seated immediately. The bread was good but not warm. They gave us 2 options with butter and it just would have been so much better warm. Our food came out in about 20 minutes after ordering. We got bone marrow for an appetizer. It comes with a sweet jam. It was my first time having bone marrow, first bite I enjoyed it. It wasn’t as flavorful as I expected. Mostly just taste like fat. For dinner we got the cream spinach, Mac n cheese, truffle fries and ribeye steak. My issue with the food is it’s pretty bland and overly greasy. The ribeye steak had a lottt of fat on it, we chose it because he said it was their most flavorful cut. Unfortunately it didn’t have as much flavor as I expected and I wished for a leaner cut. We also asked for medium and it was medium rare. The other sides had minimal flavor as well, making the whole meal lackluster. The portions however are great! We split everything and had leftovers. I would come back to try other steak and sides but I’m hoping it’s a better experience next time.

Went for my birthday and came back home with diarrhea… I’ve been wanting to try Manny’s for 5 years and finally had the chance to go. Oh man… I can’t believe the food quality given the price. The portion was big though. We ordered Rib Eye, New York Strip, Chop Salad, Creamy Garlic Spanish, and French Fries. The only dish I liked was the Chop Salad. The service was excellent though, and the menu experience was fun for first comers. Atmosphere was too dark. I couldn’t get a nice birthday picture with its lighting condition. Spent around $300 for 2 people. I didn’t bother to mention it was my birthday as I was disappointed with the food. Wouldn’t come back again.

Not a good place for a solo dinner. The steaks and sides are massive. So, I got two meals (reflected in $150 price for my food) but had to throw a lot away because I was staying at a hotel. Also, the baseball steak is leather tough. Ask for a saw over a knife. Or, better yet, ask for a different cut like a filet ($$$$). Service is good though. Au gratin potatoes are really good. You will pay $25 for enough for 4 people, but no question the best I've ever had! I went to The Capital Grille the next day and the people there were talking about how Manny's wasn't what it used to be. Take note.

F
Fuzzy Buddy

Great atmosphere, even better service, food was great, all except the steaks, and that was disappointing. I went with a large group and most everyone at my table's steaks were over cooked. As the waitress went around the table taking orders, everyone was ordering Medium rare, and each one in turn, one right after another, the waitress gave the same line, I don't remember the exact wording but something like we are a steak house, everything tends to come on the rare side, you want to go more done to be on the safe side, etc. Basically she talked everyone out of ordering what they wanted and in the end everyone's steak was over done. I ordered Medium Rare, got talked into going with medium and ended up with well done. If I had been allowed to order what I wanted in the first place, without any argument, it would have probably turned out much better. In my book, staying on the safe side would be to go more rare, its easy to fix that. I think if you are ordering a $100 steak it better be exactly what you want, and it better be perfect. Maybe they should let people order steaks the way they want them and not how the waitress wants them. I can't say it was totally the waitress's fault, the kitchen might have dropped the ball as well. But it wasn't just one or two steaks, everyone I talked to said their steak was overcooked. Needless to say my first time to Manny's and my steak was not that good. Therefore it will probably be my last time, unless someone else is paying, then I would give it another try, but I can grill a $20 steak to perfection, exactly the way I like it and its 100 time better than my steak was at Manny's that night, why would I waste $100 buying a steak that is overcooked by two levels of doneness? Despite the disappointing steak, it was still a great experience, but they do call it Manny's Steak house, NOT Manny's great Experience.

Awful...simply awful! $60 per person Easter brunch, table for 4 at 12:30 p.m. got stuck in a booth having asked for a table, were steered to a dark adjacent hallway outside the restaurant for slim pickings on both poorly curated and unattended cold and hot lines. Returned twice to try and find carved Prime Rib...dry ham but no prime rib. Nasty salmon dish...also cold, cold sauteed vegetables...mostly onions, no lobster in the lobster scramble, nothing kept hot and refreshed. To add to an already poor experience I found filthy dessert plate under the one I took and decided instead to use a napkin to take a church basement bar that was all they offered for dessert. Must have been running short as even these were cut in half. I made this reservation in early February bragging to my guests how they would enjoy the experience, but this is not the old Manny's. $60 for a single half filled plate of less than mediocre food isn't right. This kitchen didn't give a damn what they were dishing up, and it showed. The only decent thing about this experience was our waitperson Jody. There are other choices even in a depleted and diminished downtown Minneapolis, and Manny's should stop doing brunch like a Ramada would serve and stick to steak and Martini's. Don't think I'd want a peek into that kitchen...yuck. Sad. Just sad!

For our 10-year anniversary, we chose Manny’s Steakhouse, expecting a memorable dining experience, but we were deeply disappointed. We ordered the double porterhouse, mac and cheese, and bone marrow, spending $500, and nothing lived up to the price. The dry-aged steak was tough and lacked flavor—maybe it was the garlic butter, but it was far inferior to Murray’s butter knife sirloin, which we wish we’d chosen instead. The sides were equally underwhelming. The only highlight was the mocktail, which was well-crafted. Unfortunately, the overall experience was a letdown for such a special occasion. We won’t be returning.

S
Susan Jorissen

My son took his girlfriend there for a Valentine’s Day Date on 2-15/2026. He’s looked at menu wrote hand and thought that it’s a special occasion so spending a lot of money for a superb meal with a special girl was ok with him! He wanted Prime Rib but because they arrived before 4:00 it was too early for prime rib serving. Ok, he chose another steak and she ordered chicken and they both ordered Ceaser Salads. These young people are 30 and 24 yrs old, hard working and this was to be a special date. They don’t drink but very rarely. So they decided to say yes to a cocktail. Service was great. Ceasers salads for $20 bucks a pop you’d think would be knocking your socks off somehow. Hmmm…. Maybe made table side? Nope. Made in kitchen and brought out to table like any other restaurant in the cities and beyond. In other words $40.00 for salad = rip off Meals came. They looked great ! Enjoying each others conversation they started to eat and my sons girlfriend pulls a long dark hair out of chicken plate. She’s a red head and he’s thinning hair so this wasn't on them. The waiter apologized and got them another. My son cuts into his very thick steak to which was ordered M-Rare and it was raw and cold to his palet. He looked at it and now his girlfriend’s chicken came back to table. My son tried another bite thinking maybe just a fluke that this wasn’t cooked Nope same thing. This was not M-Rare and barely Rare if you will. He didn’t want to complain so he graciously pushed his steak to the side and ate the asparagus and enjoyed his date. He brought his steak home, and rinsed it off as when ordering they asked if he wanted garlic butter with it. He said yes. Other steak houses he’s enjoyed the steak that comes with a dollop of butter that melts into the steak before your eyes. This had so much garlic butter that the steak was drenched. The two bites he took was overpowered by garlic. But he salvaged it and being a good cook himself, fired up the grill the next day and cooked him a beautiful steak The tab came to the tune of $ 350.00 before tip! Again, he complimented to service by waiter He knew it was expensive and again, had no problem with taking his girl there. I’m writing this review because I’ve been in the restaurant business for 30+ years. My son took it as a “Live & Learn, I’ll just never go back” type of experience I couldn’t let it go without posting. NEVER again will ANY OF US be back. Mannys just got scratched off the “Possible” list for our future bash coming up. So over rated it’s pathetic. So go ahead and cater to your rich and famous. But wealthy and non wealthy hard working people that we are, will choose genuine everyday folks like ourselves to go get an incredible meal with and it won’t be Mannys. We’ve heard many many people over the years say Mannys is overrated and our name now goes to that list and will not be recommending it to others.
