The food is delicious! But their spicy dishes are quite spicey. Their cucumber dish is a good way to refresh your mouth.
food was delicious and came out super quick. favorite thing i ordered were the beef belly skewers and for 20 sticks for 8.50 it is very worth it. atmosphere is very cheerful and at night they have karaoke. good for small eats and drinks with friends. picture of almost all eaten food because it was good 👍🏽
I have recently visit this Chinese BBQ place and the food was amazing! Interior design is very cute. They offer a variety of meat and seafood skewers all were very flavorful. They also have alcohol drinks avaliable. My favorite is the durian pizza as dessert, highly recommended for durian lovers. If you want a drink night out with friends and skewer lover, highly recommed this place!
A really cute place with nice decors that transports you to China! I would recommend the lamb skewers, it didn't look like a lot but after eating it I was really satisfied. The durian pizza was good too, perfect for a dessert, so get it if you like durian. The pot was just ok, nothing too special so u can skip. Its a good place to eat with friends and drink, so I'd come back :)
Expect a long wait! Got here around 7:15PM and was seated close to 9PM on a Friday. Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - all the skewers we ordered were tasty, heavily seasoned, and very shareable as it comes with 10 - 20 skewers each. The lamb was our favorite, the beef belly and chicken skin are honorable mentions! Could have skipped on the Ku Fu Corn (impressed on how they got the kernels on the skewer though!) and Grilled Tofu Skin. The chicken wing was surprisingly good. We did order the 24 shots of Osmanthus and Lychee wine. They are the tiniest shots (maybe 0.5 oz? and no one had Asian glow) and on the sweeter end. Ambience: 4/5 - the tables are spacious and clean. Lots of decorations and many food/drink puns in Chinese. There was live singing but it is quite noisy where you have to scream at each other across the table to be heard. Service: 5/5 - very quick and responsive. Constantly watching the tables to address our needs for water refills or additional orders Value for price: 5/5 - good food and a fun atmosphere. Had a great time catching up with friends here.
A hidden gem if you would like some no frills drinks and snacks with your friends! (I would technically give it 4.5 stars, but I round up!) It is located right on the busy Garvey Ave in Monterey Park, but there is plenty of street parking or you can park in the parking lot behind New Lucky Seafood as long as you make it before ~5pm cause it fills up quickly after that! Much like the newer dim sum places, they give you a slip of paper as the menu and you just mark down what you want and how much. Start off small cause it is surprisingly filling and it adds up pretty quickly! And honestly, your table will not have enough space for all the plates, lol. My friends and I split it family style and we usually get the same things: garlic enoki mushroom, clam vermicelli, cheesy corn, grilled scallops, beef belly skewers, lamb skewers, pork belly skewers, and grilled tofu skin skewers. We toss up the drinks between peach, strawberry, and plum wine shots. The garlic enoki mushrooms are delicious and full of flavor! The sauce/dressing doesn't full cover the mushrooms, but you can just give it a swirl. Two people can probably share one plate (or one super mushroom lover, lol). The clam vermicelli was also good! It comes with ample sauce and ample clams, but a smaller portion of vermicelli. Maybe three people can share one serving? Cheesy corn is good always, lol. It is melted cheese on corn. Can't go wrong with that. Grilled scallops are a super flavorful and a big mouthful. It is one per order so make sure you order one for each of your party! The skewers as a whole are decent; 20 pcs for $7-9 is a good deal! It is a couple of small bites per skewer which the server will bring out and leave on a hot plate for you. It is precooked and doesn't actually get hot, but that's okay! It is a hit or miss: sometimes, it is covered in spices and other times, it is barely dressed. The shots are what I call baby shots, lol. But 24 shots for ~$16, beggars cannot be choosers. I prefer the peach one personally, but the strawberry one and plum is also good! The servers only come around one or twice during your stay there, but you are pretty self sufficient once you get your entire order. They are quick and attentive when you do need them tho! All in all, this is a solid spot for hanging out with your friends if you want to drink a little and snack a lot. This is not the place to go if you are looking to get effed up, lol.
be prepared to wait! loved this place. reminded me of when I lived in China. The lamb skewers were good as well as the mushroom and shrimp and chicken skin was my favorite! Liang pi and cucumbers were a good combo for the skewers. Also the dice game is fun and there’s a karaoke singer singing all the classics.
This is my fourth time at this restaurant! The atmosphere is really great to bring friends and enjoy foods & drinks. They open late too. Foods arriving fast and portions are really generous. Really good spot for dates and gatherings. I really like their skewers and flavored alcoholic drinks.
The menu featured a wide selection of skewered meats, including pork, beef, and chicken, all marinated in rich, flavorful sauces. I opted for the lamb skewers, which were tender and perfectly charred, with a delightful mix of spices that elevated the dish. The highlight, however, was the variety of dipping sauces available. Each added a unique twist to the grilled flavors, making every bite exciting. The side dishes, like the grilled corn and pickled vegetables, complemented the main courses beautifully. Service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.
The skewers are absolutely unforgettable! They offer a wide variety of skewers, each grilled to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, with an irresistible aroma. The meat is fresh and flavorful, seasoned just right. Whether it's the classic lamb skewers or their unique specialty options, every bite is mouthwatering. Paired with their signature side dishes and drinks, it makes for the perfect meal. Whether you’re dining with friends or just enjoying a solo snack, Xiaojiaoguan is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for skewer lovers!
This place is unique and quite fun. The way you order is amazing. Every restaurant should do it that way! You don't have to order everything at once with a server. You just choose things one or two at a time or whatever, and the kitchen gets your order with a pleasing "ding". Beer in pitchers is offered at a very reasonable price. Not every food item was an absolute winner, yet most were pretty good. Favorites: the cucumber salad and the pineapple sausage. I wouldn't order the corn or the bread again. ... In any case we're definitely returning!
This is a fun place to enjoy Chinese traditional meat skewers and drink with friends and family. This place is large and has very nice Chinese traditional décor with nice ambience. There is someone singing karaoke at night, and you can let him sing your favorite songs. The foods there are very tasty, but the skewers size portion is on the smaller side per stick than other similar restaurants. However, they do give you 10-20 sticks per order for beef and lamb. I will definitely come back again and recommended this place to everyone. Quick tips: Parking lot is hard to find if you’re coming from the east on Garvey Ave. You will need to park your car at the same parking lot as Taste of MP restaurant. They share the same parking lot (turn right on McPherrin Ave coming from the east on Garvey Ave). Check daily special on the menu for buy one get one free special item (It was oyster May 28th). Must try the mushroom skewers and they are the bomb!
Usually very crowded, if you want to avoid waiting in line, come early around 5pm when they open. Parking is in rear. Food is good and a bit unique different than other skewer place, I have been here 3 times within 5 months. Will come back with friends again. I did notice the price increase of 20% from I last visit back in January 2023.
I came here with a few friends and we were blown away by how flavorful and perfectly grilled everything was. Each skewer was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right — crispy on the outside, tender inside. Service was fast and super friendly. They made great recommendations and the vibe was chill but cozy — perfect for a casual dinner or small gathering. Prices were very reasonable for the quality, and we left full and happy.
The food is always really good and I’ve liked everything on the menu! I would say that my favorite is the pork intestine as well as the grilled eggplant which is a seasonal item. I also really like the tornado potato and the marble beef skewer. I wish my cat were here; he loves meat!
Wow 10/10 one of my favorites will always come back! Had live 🎤 karaoke, beer is always a good option to drink while you eat here! :) you order off an iPad so don’t worry about speaking to anyone Service was great and fast! And the shaved ice is really good! I waited about 25 minutes for a table on a Friday night. Was worth it
This place is a hidden gem for skewer lovers. The ambiance is cozy, and the staff is friendly. The skewers are perfectly grilled, with a wide variety of options, from tender lamb to spicy beef. The sauces complement the dishes well. I really like the durian pizza and grill eggplant!
Such a unique and FUN place to eat with friends! The menu is really interesting - from skewers to durian pizza to delicious soups. My must-get recs are: - beef belly skewers - durian pizza (not for everyone but IYKYK) - chicken skin skewers - golden soup Highly recommend coming here but be prepared for a wait! The vibes are fun and loud, kind of like a night market!
Can't believe it looks us this long to find this place. It's hands down one of the best skewers place in SGV. They have a lot of tables so there is no wait at all even for a large party of 8. The interior is newly done, very organized, and just the right amount of "Chinese" elements. Not tacky or overly cheeky like a lot of similar restaurants They even have Go at the waiting area for. Servers were attentive, efficient, and friendly. The food came out super fast after the order is placed through their ipads. Probably less than 5 min and everything was on the table. Food was amazing, the skewers were nicely seasoned and cooked, even the cauliflower was amazing. Highly recommend the duck blood and the taro balls for dessert. Will definitely be back with friends or family. Good for kids too because they offer non spicy options.
I recently visited Little Skewer Restaurant in Monterey Park, and it was an amazing experience! The skewers were absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of seasoning and tenderness. The variety was impressive, from succulent lamb and beef to flavorful chicken and vegetables. Each skewer was grilled to perfection, capturing a wonderful smoky flavor. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, making it a great place for a casual meal with friends or family. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. I also appreciated the reasonable prices and generous portions. If you're a fan of skewers, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommend trying their signature skewers, you won't be disappointed!
“Little Skewer is an absolute gem! The food is fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. The skewers are perfectly grilled with the right amount of seasoning, bringing out a wonderful smoky flavor that makes every bite memorable. The menu has a great variety, so there’s always something new to try, but the classics are also hard to resist. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive, making each visit a pleasant experience. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you’re getting. Little Skewer is a must-visit for anyone who loves delicious grilled food and a warm dining atmosphere. Highly recommend!”
We’ve visited Little Skewer in Monterey Park multiple times, and it never disappoints! The grilled oysters are fresh and flavorful, I get them every time. The mushroom and chicken skewers are perfectly seasoned, you can’t go wrong with any of the skewers honestly and the durian pizza is a unique treat that we can’t get enough of. The plum juice is smokey and refreshing which is also a must for me every time. The consistency in quality and the warm, welcoming atmosphere make this spot a must-visit. Highly recommend this place!
This spot is a gem if you’re craving authentic Chinese BBQ skewers (串串)! The interior has a cozy, rustic feel with beautiful wooden furniture and warm lantern lighting — it instantly transports you to a traditional Chinese setting. The skewers were flavorful and grilled to perfection, with a good mix of spice and smokiness.
There was such a long wait here on a Sunday night, but it was totally worth it. Little Skewer is my favorite place to get skewers. Once you step inside, you’ll understand why it takes forever to get a table - you won’t want to leave! The atmosphere of the restaurant seems specifically curated to create the perfect environment for eating and drinking. Beers were BOGO. Chinese wines were served in tea pots and dainty little saucers. Beneath the tavern lights, a lounge singer sweetly serenades the diners through the huge karaoke machine at the front of the store. Service is mostly done yourself through an iPad. You place your own order through the system and workers bring the food out to you. Meats such as beef and lamb skewers are ordered in batches of 10 and will most likely make up the bulk of your skewers, but there are many other types of additional skewers to choose from. An unexpected favorite for me was the king oyster mushroom skewers. I don’t even like mushrooms, but these king oyster mushrooms were irresistible. Biting into the springy flesh was so satisfying. The spicy, vibrant flavors and juiciness made my mouth water and crave more. The scallops, served in their shells with glass noodles, garlic, scallions, and chili paste, were addictive enough to pound back like shots. I also really liked the chicken skin skewers because the crispiness provided a nice contrast to the other dishes. And I liked the pineapple sausage so much that I ordered two. I would totally recommend Little Skewer for dinner, catching up with friends, and a good time.
Had a great dinner at Little Skewers! I ordered the lamb, premium marble beef skewers, grilled scallops, Australian tiger prawn, roast eggplant with beef, and the passion fruit refresher tea. Everything was flavorful and cooked just right. I asked for “no sipcy” and added the chili powder on the side, which was a perfect way to control the heat to my liking. Great food, friendly service, and a nice atmosphere — will definitely be back!
Excellent skewers at the great price. The cauliflower and potato spiral skewers are coated in a sweet glaze, which paired well with the savory roasted meat skewers.
I loved Little Skewer and can’t wait to come back. Tried the green beans, mushrooms, beef, and lamb kebab skewers — all delicious and the prices are great.
This is a perfect place to grab some food & drinks and hangout with friends. The food is very tasty and priced fairly. The food on their skewers are smaller than other places, hence their name. But that probably adds to their appeal. It's also very fun to eat! The interior will transport you back to ancient China. I enjoyed the decor and the added details. The servers were also very quick in removing the skewer sticks and bringing out food. Overall, this is a solid place for skewers!
Had a great time at Little Skewer in Monterey Park! The skewers were super flavorful and the vibe was fun—perfect spot for a late-night hangout. Staff was friendly too. Hope to swing by again soon… maybe next time with a drink in hand? 😄 Cheers!
We arrived at the Little Skewer around 9:30PM, and there was still nearly a 30-minute wait, clearly a very popular spot. It was our first time visiting Los Angeles from Toronto, and we didn’t expect to find Chinese-style skewers that could rival those back home. The oysters were huge, the grilled beef tripe was cooked to perfection, and both the grilled cold noodles and spicy hot pot were packed with flavor. Most importantly, I found the prices more reasonable than in Toronto! We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in LA!
I recently visited this barbecue restaurant, and it was an incredible experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal with friends or family. The food was absolutely amazing—each dish was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and fresh. The barbecue meats were tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. The service was also outstanding, with friendly staff who were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic and mouthwatering barbecue. I will definitely be coming back soon
very good service! The skewers were perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, with a variety of meats and vegetables that satisfied every craving. If you're looking for flavorful, well-cooked skewers and a great vibe, this is the spot to visit! I really recommend the sausage!
Last meal in California, and Little Skewer nailed it. Tucked away but packed with flavor, this spot hit every craving — from perfectly grilled skewers to bold, mouthwatering sauces. The vibes were lowkey, the service was warm, and every bite reminded me why I’ll miss Cali. Little Skewer, you made the send-off memorable. 🔥🍢
The foods were awesome, and my favorite was actually the chicken skin and pork intestine. The pork intestine wasn’t smelly like you get from other restaurants. The flavor of the chicken skin was sweet and crunchy. The food got here very fast and we finished all the food within an hour. It is a great place to gather up with friends!
I recently visited and had an amazing experience! The skewers were cooked to perfection, with a great balance of flavors and seasoning. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. I will definitely be coming back for more!
I recently visited Little Skewer and was absolutely impressed! This spot offers some of the best Chinese BBQ I’ve ever had. The flavors were authentic and mouth-watering, especially the lamb and beef skewers – tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual night out with friends. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. Absolutely loved the BBQ here. The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly marinated. Side dishes were fresh and flavorful. Service was quick and friendly. One of the best BBQ spots I’ve been to — highly recommend!
After moving to Seattle, I couldn't find any good barbecue places, but now that I'm back in LA, I can finally satisfy my cravings! The restaurant has such a lively, authentic atmosphere that it feels like I'm back in China, with a laid-back, romantic Chengdu vibe. I ordered lamb skewers, pork belly, chicken skin, pork intestines, chicken cartilage, grilled cold noodles, and stinky tofu. The portions aren't huge, but the flavors are absolutely authentic!

Nice atmosphere. Ample parking. No wait at 5:30 pm. Quick to serve and very attentive staff. Food is average price for a skewer place. Overall nice visit!

Interior very cute, prices reasonable. I love the food options. They have something for everyone. My favorite was the intestines and beef belly. Everything was flavorful and there was a cup of chili flakes if you want more spice. I would go again. There are several check in offers as well.

this was insanely good. my husband is normally very picky with food but even he loved how good the food was. the service was also excellent and efficient. amazing place to eat and drink
Absolutely delicious skewers and a wonderful ambiance! This place is perfect for both a romantic dinner or a family outing. The food came out incredibly fast too. I'll definitely be back! My daughter loves the prune juice.

I've been craving skewers and this place hit the spot!! We got their early around 6pm and there was no wait. Got seated right away. We ordered the beef, lamb, and chicken skewers along w some buns, golden soup and topped it off with dessert durian pizza. I couldnt give it a 5 stars for the food because I felt like the lamb skewers could have been better. There was a lot of fat and being that the skewers are very small, each bite should be meat of lamb not fat. But overall the food was good and it tempt my craving. The price overall was high. I managed to rack the bill over $150 n that's just with 3 of us. So be prepared. 😄

We arrived early-ish and avoided the dinner crowd, that seems to be the only way to not have to wait crazy long. The food is good, cucumber is probably one of the best I've had. I wish there were most types of skewers, they're called little skewers after all. I'd recommend the lamb skewers, the cucumber, the glass noodle clam, and the eggplant.
This place is so packed. Be prepared to wait for at least 1.5 hour or more to be seated. The food is okay. The quantity seems to be a lot but the amount of meat per stick is actually very little (maybe that is why their name is "Little Skewer"). The taste is okay. The squid is good to my taste.
The waiting time was too long. Their servers have no idea about what the actual waiting time would be. Firstly, I was told the waiting time would be 30 minutes. But finally it ended that the waiting time was about 2 hours. They should definitely have a better waiting system. Also, their servers did not clean tables on time, which made the waiting time longer. The should better organize the tables for small and large groups. Smaller groups usually have a much longer waiting time. They do not have many small tables. On the other hand, large groups will stay there forever. If you want to visit it, be there as early as possible.
Come a little later to avoid a long wait during the normal dinner rush (it's okay since they close late at midnight). All ordering is done through the tablet so after picking your selections, make sure to hit submit to process your items! We ordered quite a bit: sausages, chicken thighs, king mushroom, beef, squid, chicken skin, and more that I don't remember what. We ended up full and 120ish dollars lighter lol. Everything is well seasoned, though after a while, we felt the seasoning tasted the same. I enjoyed all we picked, though not too big a fan of the chicken. They have a parking lot shared with other businesses and it was full, so we found some street parking instead. Having that walk back to the car afterwards helped with the food coma.
Perfect blend of flavor on the skewers. A unique blend of sweet, salty, and an amalgamation of Chinese herbs and spices, served in an incredibly timely manner in a beautiful restaurant interior. Particularly recommend the Chinese cauliflower and fish tofu skewers, as well as the enoki. The restaurant also offers a generous amount of free items if you review or post about them on various mediums, which only boosts the palate experience.
Great place whether you just want to eat or if you want to drink with side dishes. A good variety of meats available alongside numerous other things. Majority are all seasoned the same. Nothing against it, but if you’re hungry order things other than your favorite skewers. Their drink menu is just almost as numerous as their food menu. They don’t have their own parking, but it’s not as busy during lunch time so there’s a lot of street parking available.
This restaurant has comfortable spacious seating, which makes for a great atmosphere to catch up with friends over drinks and skewers. You order your food on a tablet at the table, which I found very convenient. The food was decent, not the best I've had, but pretty good. I enjoyed the pork belly and the chicken skin, but was a bit impartial to the beef butter & kidney. The garlic enoki mushrooms were also more buttery and undersalted than I would prefer, but cooked perfectly. All in all, I thought the food was pretty good but not great.
Update: Skip the fried squid. It was very fishy and bitter. Everything was still yummy! They had karaoke. Read some good reviews and decided to give this place a try. I came with my boyfriend on a Thursday night around 5:30pm. There was no wait when we arrived and we got to select any open table. The interior decor was amazing. Loved the old style chinese tavern style. The bar was decorated like the olden style medicine shop and they have alcohol bottle wall and lots of funny signs up. Make sure you try to read all of them. The claw machine was a bit out of place though. There's a chinese chess set in the entrance area. I guess you can wait while you play. Service was good. Someone was available whenever we flagged them down. We ordered the lamb, beef belly, chicken gristle, chicken skin and pork intestine skewers. Skip the lamb. The rest were pretty yummy. My favorite was the pork intestine (very crispy), the chicken gristle and chicken skin, they both had a sweet cumin taste to it. They have a plate designated for skewers that they use candles to keep the skewers warm. We also got the garlic enoki (very flavorful another highlight) and the clam vermicelli (delicious as well). We also ordered the Le Shan Qiao Jian Beef (Small) pot. The beef was good very tender but it was light in taste which is why they provided a sauce that went well with it. We ordered the 3 wine combo which was basically 9 shots of osmanthus, lychee and plum wine (3 each flavor). I like the representation but it didn't really go with the food we were eating. They also provided water in a large jug which is a plus cause I don't like to keep asking for refills. Lastly we ordered the Black sugar fried rice cake for dessert. It was interesting but I don't recommend. The crust was a bit hard but googy on the inside. Overall one of the better skewers place I've been to. Portions on the skewers are small but that's also why you get so many for each order. By the time we left, the place was packed. Parking is street as well as they have a small parking lot shared with another restaurant. I will definitely be back. It's a good place for a group of friends to hang out, eat, drink and chat.
If you had bbq skewers as street food fare in various parts of China, this place does recreate that experience. However the setting is in a restaurant rather than at a street stall with tiny plastic stools to sit on. They serve these skewers with various herbs and spices and marinates that are quite good but perhaps a little too sweet. They have decent selection of various beverages such as beers, Japanese sake, and Korean soju since these skewers are usually enjoyed with alcohol. Mainstays are lamb bbq skewers, tender beef, chicken wings and hearts, etc. also they have grilled chives and eggplants. There will be but if a wait as this place is popular with the locals. Parking spaces are limited as the restaurant shares the strip mall with another popular Chinese restaurant.
The food was tasty overall, but a bit too salty for my taste. The mala soup, in particular, was extremely salty—I ended up just eating the ingredients and leaving the broth. Even considering that mala soup is typically salty, this was still quite intense. Most of the skewers and dishes seemed to be seasoned with the same type of Chinese spice blend. While the flavors were good, the experience didn’t quite live up to my expectations. One nice point is that there’s a free parking lot behind the building.
The skewers here were very good and affordable. Only complaint is that the kiosk automatically orders “spicy” and we had wanted to order non-spicy. So we ended up with 30 skewers we couldn’t eat. We had to reorder 30 “non-spicy” skewers after since they were so hot, so just be mindful of your order before you place it. The scallops were very good as well.
Friends took me here because they knew that I love bbq. The atmosphere was very nice. It would be a place that I'd take someone on a fun date. The flavor of the food was great as well, but the skewer portion was on the small side. Almost too small. The only reason I'm giving it a four star is the pricing. I think it is a little bit overpriced given the quality of the food and service. It's not an upscale/fancy type of restaurant. 30-50 dollars person is a little bit too much. I'd give the taste of the food 5 stars though.
This is a dramatic improvement from H&H. Live music, beer by the pitcher, not bad. But this place is TOO happenin'. Gotta' wait 50min on a Friday night to get in. As for quality of food, it's OK. Most skewer places give you a sizeable 10 skewers, and even throw in another one for good measure. Here, they gave you half the length of meat on skewers, but twice the number of skewers in an order before the pandemic, BUT now that amount's been halved, and each piece is roughly a quarter of the size for some skewers, or just one or two pieces on the skewer. They really put the LITTLE in the name. But hey, if you're looking for a night out, and just want to be with friends, this is not a bad spot. One thing to note are the pun-filled signs. If you read Chinese and enjoy dad jokes, you can catch them plastered against the windows. One last thing is that Durian Pizza was really a nice surprise! And I'm normally not a durian type of person!
Australian Lamb Kekab and Grilled Oyster are good. Little skewers are under-portioned and over-cooked. The sticky tofu tastes over-crispy, both internally and externally.
Great food and atmosphere, but be warned: staff may confront you asking for additional tips even after you've already tipped. This happened to me after I left a $12 tip - they followed up asking for more money. This is unprofessional and frankly inappropriate. Tipping is supposed to be voluntary. Having staff chase down customers for additional tips creates an uncomfortable, almost coercive environment. Can't recommend until this practice stops.
Extremely Sweet Skewer BBQ – Disappointing Experience I recently visited Little skewer, hoping to indulge in some savory grilled treats. However, my experience left much to be desired. I have frequented this place numerous times before, but today's visit was a letdown. To my dismay, the skewers I ordered were unnaturally sweet, almost like ice cream. It was an unexpected and unwelcome flavor profile for a barbecue dish. The sweetness was overpowering, overshadowing any other flavors that might have been present. It was nothing like what I had experienced on my previous visits. Moreover, when I tried to clean the skewer by whipping it on the napkin, a thick syrup-like substance oozed out. I was astounded to witness this, and I even captured a photo of it (see the second photo I have attached). This made me question whether what I was served was truly a skewer or some sugary concoction in disguise. Every skewer I received was laden with an excessive amount of sugar. It felt like the focus was more on creating a dessert-like experience rather than offering a satisfying barbecue treat. The balance of flavors was completely off, leaving me unsatisfied and disappointed. Overall, my visit to this skewer BBQ joint was extremely unsatisfying. The overwhelming sweetness and the peculiar syrup-like residue were major turn-offs. I hope the establishment takes this feedback into account and adjusts their recipe to bring back the savory essence that made me a regular customer in the first place. Until then, I cannot recommend this place for those seeking a traditional skewer BBQ experience.
