Avis sur Satsuma Mountain View
I stopped by **Satsuma Sushi** for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how efficiently everything was handled. I mentioned to the hostess that I was in a rush, and they delivered—within 20 minutes, I was seated, had ordered, received my food, eaten, and paid. I tried the **Four Seasons Roll**, and it was a delight—beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The menu offers a wide range of choices, from familiar favorites to specialty rolls, all at very reasonable prices. Parking was a breeze, too. The restaurant is located in a plaza with a large shared parking lot, which made it easy to find a spot—something that’s not always the case in Mountain View. Overall, I had a great experience at Satsuma. Highly recommended for both speed and quality!
My partner and I found out about Satsuma Sushi from my sister. We absolutely love this place! The staff is super friendly and the food is fresh and delicious without feeling like you're breaking the bank! We've had omakase at many places from all price ranges and Satsuma is one of our favorite regular go-to place! They recently remodeled the place so it looks really modern. They've also added the Sudoku Sashimi and Wagyu nigiri.
Visited Sep 2023. Inflation has hit this store also. The price and its structure changed quite a bit. I think it went up by at least 25%. The food is still good as well as the service, but the value has gone down. I am keeping it at 5 stars but lamenting the continuing high inflation rate... Went a few more times since the review below. Consistently good food with value. As they advertise on their wall, "delicious food, large portions, and friendly service". Other than a bit salty miso soup (though it was good), everything was good on the 3-item combo meals as in the photo. Ah yes, the price was quite reasonable for the portion and taste. Next time, we'll try the nigiri and sashimi plates. Recommended.
We have done many takeouts and they were always satisfying, so we came to try dine in. It could be busy on weekday night, but it was ok on Sunday noon. The sashimi was thicker than my fingers, the yakiniku came with a decent amount, and the scallop was more tasty than takeout. The service was also really good. We will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.
Good sushi with super fast, if somewhat abrupt service. I was asked what I wanted to eat within 30 seconds of sitting down, which was hardly enough time for me to open the menu. Luckily, everything that I ordered tasted good and came out incredibly quickly. It's on the pricier side, but that is to be expected given that it's in Mountain View...
Love this place, but the Wife was disappointed the Miso wasnt vegetarian, we were told previously that it was. Change it back. Love the Agedashi Tofu, and the sushi is always good.
Another good sushi place in this area to try out. Sushi was great in taste and the the size was perfect. It was crowded on a Saturday evening and service was little slow because of short staff. We ordered five sushi rolls and four were packed in one box which proved difficult when eating. Although the price was on the higher end on this type of sushi in this area, but it was worth it.
The place felt fairly average overall. The edamame and my seafood soup were fine, though a bit simple and understated. I tend to remember restaurants by their aromas and flavors, and this time the experience felt a little muted. While everything was pleasant enough, nothing particularly stood out to me.
My wife and I came in during date night. We'd seen this place numerous times and the ratings made it seem like an excellent place. We entered and got sat in the corner. After ordering water and our appetizer we waited +10 minutes for someone. Ultimately, my wife had to approach the staff member who sat us and he asked someone to take our order. The restaurant wasn't very full when we walked in. It did start getting full (during the time in which we were waiting to order). All the guests that came after us got served right away. I had to wait till the food came out to ask for a refill (which came when we were done and ready to pay). Even to pay we had to wait awhile. Not sure if it's because we were the only Latinos in the restaurant or not. Regardless, we did not feel welcome. Final thoughts: The food was delicious but the service atrocious. Recommend going elsewhere for sushi.
It was my first time at this restaurant. I went for lunch, and it took a normal amount of time for my food to arrive at the table. I ordered the lunch combination with three items. I noticed there was a long hair on my chicken teriyaki. I thought, yeah, whatever, sometimes that happens. I ate a couple of pieces when, oh oh, I found another hair. I immediately lost interest in the chicken. Then I said, okay, I’ll try my vegetable tempura, when, oh surprise, there was a deep fried hair stuck to my veggies. I completely lost my appetite. I told the server, and she just said she felt bad. Anyway, she offered to give me another item, but I honestly wasn’t interested at that point. I feel bad about my 29 dollars, lol. I should have eaten somewhere else.
