Was a little curious at first cause the pizza looked funny. But it was all amazing and the service was fantastic- we tried random things and they were all super tasty.

Wow, what a find! This is a great place for a quick and delicious Italian meal: pizza, salads, and sandwiches. Pizza is by the slice or whole, and slices are premade and heated on demand. Toppings include interesting choices like fava leaf and goat cheese. They have wine by the glass, as well as a bottle shop with a small but diverse selection of beer, wine, and liquor including several amaros. The name is "take away" but they also have indoor and outdoor seating. One slice of pizza and a large salad was a good lunch for two, and cost about $20. We will definitely be back!

Best Christmas dinner ever! A big bucket of Foodshed's house made cioppino (tip of the hat to the Feast of Seven Fishes), full of crab, mussels, shrimp, scallops - every kind of seafood imaginable -- in a tasty tomato broth. So delicious with toasted garlic bread and a selection of Italian white wines. We could have gotten the entire meal from Foodshed but then I'd have felt guilty. Their salads are excellent, and my husband practically lives on the polenta cake (his go-to breakfast food). Good wine selection, also digestivos and specialities like Campari. Best of all is the vibe: everyone who works or shops or eats there is happy to be there.

We were looking for a quick bite after some wine tasting and found this little spot. We loved the pizza and beet salad. It was fast fresh and adorable.

I absolutely LOVE Foodshed!!! My go to place for lunch and a take away dinner. Yummmmmmmmmm yum! Burrata Pizza is my fave! Sunday sauce with Campanelle pasta, Bolognese sauce with Rigatoni, and polenta with the Marinara sauce are all excellent quick meals. Love this place! New owners...same GREAT food!!!

I love this place! Great selections are offered as either pre-packaged salads, entrees and side dishes, or as freshly prepared selections. Be sure to try their creative pizzas; my favorite is the carmelized onion. Why do I love FoodsShed? Because I can pick up a quick lunch or a delicious meal for family dinner. You can also pick up freshly baked bread and a terrific bottle of wine to round out the meal. Give FoodShed a try. I hope you enjoy their food as much as I do.

We grabbed the Chicken alla Cacciatore, took it home and popped it in the oven. 30 minutes later we had the most delicious takeout ever! The food was very flavorful, simply amazing! The bread they give you is pretty awesome too. This place delivers within. Napa for a $3 charge...and you can order beer and wine for delivery. This place is awesome.

Foodshed Take Away is a cute little hidden treasure off Trancas. You can either eat in or out. I dined in! The workers are polite and respectful...but dont smile. I ordered a pizza, chicken cacciatore, and a beer salad. I hate beets. I only eat them because they're supposed to be good for you. So, I ordered the beet salad! To my surprise, it was quite tasty! My pizza was hot and fresh and the chicken was delightful. Come by and check this place out!

Foodshed is a lifesaver. Their takeout is high quality and always delicious. Bonus for being located on the way home from work so we can get a homemade dinner without needing time to cook. I took a couple salads to a work potluck and they disappeared quickly. The crowd favorite was the roasted beet salad with goat cheese.

We’ve loved Foodshed for some time but they have been even more delightful since Covid disrupted all things “normal”. Their food is divine, thoughtful and predictably good and to boot, they are a pleasure to work with. Recently The Food Shed catered a work event and I thought the food was great! I just brought home the balsamic braised pork dinner and Brussels sprout salads! Both were knockouts!! We are new to Napa and this will be a weekly stop!! My boys devoured the bread!!

Hidden gem. Some of the best artisanal pizza we have ever had. The homemade sourdough crust elevates the pizza overall flavor profile. They have a wonderful to go case filled with lasagnas, pastas, tiramisu, and all kinds of fun stuff that you can take home and Heat. They come in both small and large sizes. There’s also a delightful selection of salads and pastries. This is a wonderful go to for those nights. You don’t wanna cook or you Need help getting food on the table for a party.

Oh My Goodness... Yes sooo good! Picked up the seasonal corned beef and cabbage, with potatoes and carrots today! Yummy, Yum, Yum! Thank you for the most wonderful St. Paddy's eve (leftovers for tomorrow) dinner! Delicious! I didn't even think to take a photo, too good to stop eating.

Foodshed was recommended by the tasting room staff at a local winery as an excellent place for an informal, quick, but high-quality meal without reservations. What a great spot! We both had slices of their artisan pizzas, which donned ingenious combinations of classic Italian ingredients on very airy handmade (sourdough?) dough. The beet and citrus side salad was delicious, and so was the coffee. A delightful and very reasonably priced meal right in the heart of Napa.

I absolutely love this place. We only do "take and bake" pizzas and dinners and every single one has been great. The baked goods and tiramisu are totally on point and delicious. Anything you order here is going to be great. The people, the environment, the food, everything just works so well together. It really is a treat to have a place like this in our neighborhood.

Can't recommend this place enough. If you looking for lunch or even some take away for dinner this is the best spot in Napa. The burrata pizza may be simple but is so full of flavor! Better than any other! I've had the meatballs and all the pizzas they have offer and I have never ever been disappointed. It's also a fantastic price for what you are getting.

Fantastic food, best pizza crust I've eaten in ages, and with interesting toppings, unusual and delicious salads, desserts that I haven't tried yet, big takeout wine and beer selection, and best of all, they deliver. The only place I've found in Napa that delivers to unincorporated Napa. Great staff. My whole family is thrilled to have discovered Foodshed, and I love their mission as well!

The real quality of the food here is obvious to anyone who has tried it. Types of ingredients used and the way the dishes are put together is a culinary treat not to be missed. Seasonals are awesome, in-house pizzas by slice, and recently I discovered the meal components in the fridge are exceptional! I mean, when the food is take and heat, and still makes you appreciate the depth of flavor, and creates a family experience that inspires like a restaurant special occasion, whilst leaving you satisfied and for the price ... yes, you have found a gem. We had Stone Fruit Salad it had fruit slices, blue cheese , honey sherry vinaigrette, frisee, kale, and pistachios. Spicy Pizza and Meatballs. All was delicious. Definitely our go to for dinner and dessert. Always, fresh and flavorful with plenty of variation. Daily dinner specials, soups, salads and unforgettable pizza such as one of my favorites Pork Belly with Mustard greens and red onions. So Yummy!

I'd read many excellent ratings about Foodshed here on Google and didn't think the company could possibly live up to those ratings--but I was wrong! Not only is the food tasty and prepared with the finest ingredients, but each food item is unique in its category and not just the usual hum-drum version you can get anywhere else. It's a bit more expensive than a regular takeout place, but it's hands-down the best food you can get outside of dining at one of Napa's high-priced "name" restaurants. I was truly pleased with the quality of each item and felt as if I had just eaten a truly well-prepared, healthy meal instead of just a bunch of unhealthy calories. Not only do they have glass cases displaying beautiful salads and deserts, but they have a refrigerated section with specially prepared family-style meals to go and unique bottled drinks, too. And the pizza by the slice is uniquely scrumptious as well. However, it does really seem as if they have a few too many employees. Today, I was standing at the salad case--and was the only person there to order. An older woman was at the register just standing there doing nothing and never turned around. Instead, she eventually picked up her water bottle, walked across the aisle to the flavored water, put the mouth of her bottle right up to the spigot, filled her bottle, turned around, saw me, and headed my way. Did she wait on me? No. Instead she passed right beside two other women in the same area who had their backs to me, said nothing to them about a customer waiting, and as she started to pass right front of me said, as I tried to get her to wait on me, "someone will be with you," and just sashayed right by me on her way to the food prep area without another word but with a glaring eye. Meanwhile, the other employee stood still doing nothing with her back to me, and a second employee was cutting up a pan of brownies in the slowest mode humanly possible, stopping to rest between cuts, and staring off into space. When a second woman started to pass in front of me, I said, "Aren't you going to wait on me?" Low and behold. No, she was not, said nothing, and breezed right by me. So, I've deleted my comment made earlier this morning about awarding ten stars for the food and will not be back, as I've witnessed the same lackadaisical behavior the last few times I stopped to order. Good food without good service is not worth it.

What a great spot after a day of wine tasting. We picked 4 different slices of pizza to go and brought back to our hotel. They cut them up for us into smaller pieces and we did our own pizza tasting. All were amazing.

We've had foodshed on a number of occasions as our friends are huge fans. We recently received a gift card a decided to try it out. The premade dinners were all outstanding, as were the salads. Word to the wise, they deliver, but need a least two hours advance notice if you want them to cook the food for you. It's quicker to just order the food and bake it in your own oven. The restaurant is closed to the highway, but tucked on a side street that makes it easy to miss. It really feels like a community restaurant, in all the good ways. They also have a wine lounge area that looked very nice as well as a single serving area. Back to the food, we tried a duck rissotto that was out of this world as well as a cannelloni that was stuffed full of meat and a stuffed chicken. The instructions were very clearly written and easy to follow. All had amazing flavor. I typically don't like chicken, but this one was exceptionally juicy and the sauce was perfect. We tried their beet salad, arugula salad and roasted corn succotash. All were exactly what we were expecting with great flavor and perfect portion sizes. The only negative was the pizzas. We purchased a potato pizza and buratta pizza. Both we completely bland and very underwhelming. The potato pizza was boiled potatoes on a pizza crust that tasted exactly like boiled potatoes. No seasoning or other flavors. Also nothing to give it different textures or mouth feel. We might as well have boiled our own potatoes and at them raw. The buratta was only slightly better, due to the generous amount of cheese they give you. They make sure to tell you to cook the pizza first, then add the buratta cheese once it is done cooking. Very important to know for those that are unfamiliar with this type of cheese. We found the sauce to be very light and forgettable. It said it had basil, but we were disappointed to find it was dried basil very lightly sprinkled on top of the sauce. Not even enough to taste it once the cheese was added. Again, no seasoning or added ingredients to help with this pizza. It tastes like we were eating straight cheese. Typically I'm a minimalist with pizza, but these pizzas go too far in this direction and leave you wondering what their thought process was. Disappointing considering how much we love all their other offerings. I would recommend this place to anyone, just don't order the pizza.

This place... This place is special. Solid Italian classics, increadibly creative a tasty seasonal sides. The only thing I'm not wild about is some of their pizzas. Excellent dine-in, take out, take and bake, picinic, quick office lunch. Also the owners are fantastic, and long time napans and resterauntures. Worst critisism I can level at it, is the dine in experience is.... Bare bones basic, but who cares, it's called food shed take away so fair billing eh?

3 and a half stars. Personally, I would change the name... something like "Spirit of Tuscany Cafe"...Food shed doesn't exactly have an appealing name. Anyway, a reclaimed/repurposed/ what's-old-is-new atmosphere awaits you. The fried cod sandwich was quite good. A nice, thick, crusty pocket of bread, toasted and buttered; rich but balanced tartar sauce, not too heavy, not too vinegary. Steaming hot filet of cod, fried to a nice crunch but beautifully supple inside. The chicken cacciatore was NOT on the same level. This was the plate, not the sandwich, so that texture was sorely missing. Even if it were there, the dish was simply too salty and lacked a finesse when it came to seasoning. The cook on the chicken was good, tender and neither over or under cooked. The side salads were ordinary. Pleasant service, was still hungry after.

The sandwiches were excellent, but there were flies on the pizza.

Very nice selection of food, wines, aperitifs, digestifs, with some good coffee to boot. It's my go-to spot when I'm in need of a bottle of bittersweet Italian vermouth, or a delicious pastry to-go.

Delicious food lovingly prepared, and very pricey.

First of all it is owned by the previous owner of UVA , one of the previous better restaurants in Napa and retains its complementary staff, balanced amount of take out food as well as a clean interior with seating available to enjoy their menu. It also has seating outside in the rear parking area, complete with tables beneath the shade of a tree. I had previously had their home made fresh pasta, a treat in itself at home and wanted to check out their menu items. Ordered the pork meat ball sandwich which consisted of their own made bread stuffed with 3 delis Italian meatballs and sauce with arugula on the side. Also tried the minestrone soup which may be the best I have had, thick, flavorful a 10+! If you want to take it home, it's sold by plate size, or you can bring in your own container for additional portions. So if your looking for something special with an Italian flair stop by Foodshed!

Interesting California fusions with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Offers a daily mix of salads, flat bread pizzas, desserts, and more. Vegan and gluten free options usually available. Cafe style, order at the counter then find a seat. Also very easy to get takeout option. Oh! They also offer catering.

Burrata slices are served with cheese on the side which I appreciated. The arugula prosciutto was a bit too saucy as the arugula is tossed with a vinaigrette. Caramelized four cheese was probably my favorite - loved the sweetness of the onions. They also have a decent selection of gluten free desserts. Prices are fair; $26 for the entire box. You can mix and match or get one type for the same price.

Highly recommend, always great meals, we always get at least one night’s dinner when we’re in town visiting family, local, family run business.

Love the food at Foodshed. The arancini is delicious as are the vegetarian lasagna. We recently tried the mushroom lasagna and it was incredible. The shaved Brussels salad is a standout and the pistachio bar is tasty. Highly recommend for grab and go Italian food that over delivers for the price.

Liked the pepperoni pizza. Friendly service. Good vibe. Dog friendly outdoor dining. We'll be back.

I order the braised pork and lasagna. The pork with potatoes in the past was delicious however something has changed. Potatoes and pork were always bite size pieces and it marinated in the sauce. This time pork was tasteless thick and fatty sliced and the potatoes were big tasteless chunks. The sauce was the same. Dish was very disappointing. We haven't tried the lasagna, I hope it is good.

I've been coming here for years. The food is always delicious. Most recent visit was disappointing. The food was still good, but I feel a little ripped off. I ordered and paid for a triple. What I got was much less than a triple. normally a 5 out of 5, but i gotta give it a 3 out 5 stars for the 3/5th serving.

I did not like the lady at the front desk using her hand to pick a square of bread, while she handles the cash register and credit cards. That’s how you spread germs un-necessarily. Tuesday 5:12 pm

Foodshed had the greatest sandwich ever created and decided to remove it from menu. They had the hot prom queen and told her she wasn’t hot enough. I will never understand why they got rid of the Chicken cacciatore tosca. It makes me incredibly sad and angry. I will never go to Foodshed again. Nice goin

I’ve had food from here multiple times, and I can confidently say I’m always left severely disappointed. I can’t really say anything positive about a single dish. I guess the cheese pizza is tolerable, but that’s putting it nicely. I just recently had a cheese and ham sandwich from here, and I gotta say, it tasted like I was chewing on a latex glove. At this point, I would worry about what they’re putting in their food because based on the taste, it’s not edible.
