This place was soooooooo much fun. We came today for a birthday brunch with a large group of 17 people and they did not disappoint. I couldn’t wait to come and write this review because I was so impressed with the staff here. Despite us having a really large group and the place being packed to capacity, we were treated with so much care. Our waitress was on top of everything, so accommodating and kept everyone’s drinks filled. Food here was pretty good and the prices are beyond reasonable for NYC standards. This place has a DJ on the weekends and it’s very much a turn up party vibe in here. Please don’t come if you are looking for a nice quiet restaurant. It gets very lit. If you aren’t looking for that vibe you will be annoyed quickly. If you want to let loose and vibe out while enjoying a great meal and good drinks- then this is the spot for you.

I loved the vibes here. The music is old-school good vibes with a tad bit of newer r&b. Folks were dancing in their seats having a grand time. The wait was 30 minutes for a table of two, but the food was worth it. I'll definitely be back... hopefully at a discount considering I charge for reviews but couldn't resist showing love this this wonderful establishment

We visited on a Tuesday night, and the staff was very welcoming and pleasant. Arturo was our bartender—simply wonderful and attentive throughout the evening. The spring rolls were tasty, though the ends were noticeably burnt. Overall, it was a nice experience, and I would definitely go back again.

Went here for after work drinks on a Wednesday evening. Atmosphere was definitely a nice vibe and the music was terrific. They can use more than 2 bartenders because it gets busy. Will return to try the food.

Angel of Harlem was a nice brunch vibe on a Sunday. We were able to quickly get a table outside. Drinks were right on point. I ordered a mango passion fruit frozen daiquiri and shrimp and grits & my friend ordered the French toast. The shrimp & grits although a tad oily were good. The shrimp were large and flavorful and the grits the perfect consistency.

This place has one of the best brunch parties & variety of djs. Such a hype spot! The food is pretty basic but not terrible. The service was pretty great considering that there was a party happening at the same time. I wish there was more space for dancing. But there is ample space at the bar for you to grab a seat. The watermelon froze is lovely & refreshing.

Very very good food! Best chicken n waffle I've had in a long time! Just FYI- they charge you $14 for the sparkler on your dessert if it's your birthday. I've never had this happen. Disappointing. Otherwise. 5 stars!

This place was really cute. We got there early when it opened to make sure that we had a spot, they would not seat us until everyone was there. If you don't have a reservation, I would get there by noon because it got crowded really quick. DJ came on about 12:30pm and the place was definitely full by then. The food was pretty good and the drinks were 😋, especially the rum punch. Waiters were very nice and worked really hard getting to everyone, I really think there were maybe only 3 or 4.

My dine-in experience started out good, but I was taken back when my drink was not what I expected; after a few sips and 30 min I usually get a buzz. There was none. I asked for bread usually served with pasta to which I was charged $6 without forewarning. The worst of it all, I was asked to leave and only given 5 min to do so because they wanted it for a reservation. I finished my drinks, paid my check, and vacated the table. What was even worst was when I came out of the bathroom I saw a lone, young, lady sitting at my previous table with a little fidgety poodle running back and forth on the cushion chair sniffing its environment. Service dogs are more tamed than that. Due to allergies and phobias, this is a sanitary, safety issues. I was also appalled that I was rushed out of my seat for a dog. This is not worth the 20% gratuity added by the waiter to my bill. Therefore I'm requesting a total refund.

Came here to celebrate a birthday. I appreciate that they were able to figure something out for our group, as most of the party was 30 minutes late. They insisted we’d have to sit at the bar but they were able to rearrange where another party was sitting to give us another table. All but one of us did the bottomless brunch with many rounds of rum punch- the service was good they made sure to refill frequently. But, the drink itself was way too sweet and some tasted a bit salty. No alcohol at all, I’ve never left a bottomless brunch so sober! Especially a 90 minute bottomless brunch. At the end when we inquired he told us there was alcohol in it and asked if we wanted to try the red sangria which I did like and tasted alcohol-appropriate. But by this time it was already too late as we were leaving. Two of us ordered the shrimp with grits and we enjoyed it, both orders with cheese and wow it was definitely cheesy! Good portion of shrimp and nice consistency of the grits. The sauce added a nice flavor to the dish. The rest of the party thought the food was okay. Overall, I don’t recommend if you’re doing the rum punch (unless they start making it like they used to). The DJ this time wasn’t as good as previous times here. I’d recommend if you’re going to do the sangria otherwise you’re not getting your money worth. I also found it a bit pricy, we spent 97 per person (not including the birthday girl).

The food amazing. Seriously amazing. The vibes are great and great music. The server was nice. Every beer my partner asked for was out. No worries finally got the Good Angel IPA. Then it was time to leave. Fear lawd. We are talking over 10 minutes to even ask for the check even though we had our plates cleared and no further drinks ordered. And then we asked for the check and they said sure coming right out. Took forever to bring the check. And WTH “suggested” gratuity of 20% but they charged it anyway. BS. Work for your tip. And don’t say suggested if you are going to charge it anyway. And honestly this is a low level casual place. Let’s be real. You show up and do good work you are gonna get tipped. This place the service was basic nothing special and not worth a 20% tip

Loud and energetic atmosphere. 2 orders of Chicken and Waffles $56 👀 Then receipt says suggested gratuity of $11.80, then it's added into the bill. Making this meal totally overpriced.
