Very tasty Indian-inspired food. Lots of zip in the flavorings and super fresh ingredients at a reasonable price.,
The food was absolutely amazing fresh, flavorful, and served warm. Unfortunately, the restaurant itself was freezing cold, so I decided to take my food back to my location instead. That said, the service was AMAZING super kind, welcoming, and attentive. Please don’t base your decision on some of the reviews you may see you really have to try it for yourself. This place is definitely worth it, and I will absolutely be back whenever I’m in the city. Now please bring a location to Queens!
Ordered online and picked up in store. My order was ready and waiting when I got there. My special instructions were spot on and as always the food was delicious. Inday never disappoints.
What a great experience. Walked past here a few times debating whether I go in. Finally did it and food was great but the service was even better. I don't know the guys name what such a great guy. Would absolutely come back! Update: The guys name is Eric:) Treated every person that entered with so much respect & appreciation. Great guy!
SO glad I stopped by this place on my late night hunt for a proper good meal. Chicken Tikka Masala (made by Latinos & Latinas) was absolutely unreal!! Had a slightly different twist to it with the cilantro in there. Chicken thighs were plentiful and super tasty. Next to try is the Golden Chicken Curry.
After some long hours perusing the area on a summer day, we finally settled on INDAY for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at how good our Indian-inspired bowls turned out. While they didn't list out a vegan bowl by default, I was able to adjust one of their veg options to simply include more chickpeas and greens over rice to make a suitable lunch option. The combination of seasoned chickpeas with rice and some of their warm sides made for a great meal. Since the store is small with limited seating, it's recommended to take out and head somewhere with AC/heat so you can dine more comfortably.
Location: Located around the corner of many hotels, this unassuming spot could be easily missed. In fact I think I passed it, and out of the corner is my eye saw Indian or something. I did a quick rating look on maps, and ventured in. Ambiance/Service: clean, modern decor location with few places to sit. They seem to mostly cater to take-out with a well orchestrated ordering and system. The downside is not knowing that, I wasn't sure where to order and how to get my food. I figured it out but it took a few. Menu: The menu is clever. It had a number of good choices, including some very Western influence options like Indian flavored meats over salads. That's what I opted for having to takeaway. Food: I got the Indian flavored salmon over fresh greens. Honestly it was an excellent, excellent salad. The greens were just iceberg lettuce, it was a variety of wonderful greens and flavors with a beautifully seasoned salmon fillet braised to perfection. I really enjoyed my lunch here. New York has lots of choices, and the question is would I go there again? Absolutely. But it'll likely depend on where I was staying. When I travel uptown or to midtown from it? Not likely. But if I was in the neighborhood, absolutely I'd go back.
Great quick stop for lunch! I work in the area and all the restaurants have insane wait lines. I ordered and had my food within 5 minutes! Affordable priced and so filling! Got a build your own bowl with salmon, rice, sweet potatoes and cauliflower and each component of my food was delicious! Will definitely be back! Also their bottled oat milk chai drink is so yummy!
Pretty good Indian fusion place. I liked the golden curry chicken. They just opened up in here. Must try if you like Indian food and are looking for a healthy option near grand central terminal. Staff seem friendly. They only take credit cards though. You choose a bowl and base. Will definitely go back to try other flavours.
Place is good. Food is good hygienic. Some of the dishes have lower portions for the price but worth the quality and taste. Healthy overall. Chai is the worst last two times I have tried here..I don't know if they use mix or make it from scratch but definitely they don't know how to make chai for an Indian fast food place.
Tried basmati bowl with saag paneer and chickpeas curry. Taste was average. Portion size is too small compared to what you pay. Ambience is okayish. Wouldn’t recommend it if you are hungry. Can always go to CAVA which is literally the next door around the corner. Crispy rice was really nice though.
Poor quality food. Ordered the Golden chicken curry with basmati rice, garlic naan, and a mango lassi. Firstly, as a British person who knows what good Indian food should taste like, it’s rather embarrassing that Inday is associated with Indian cuisine. The “curry” was watery, very salty, and the chicken was poor quality. The rice was also very poor quality basmati rice. Zero flavour. The garlic naan was rubbery. You couldn’t even tear it easily and it had some strange garlic paste on it. The mango lassi was overly sweet and hard to swallow. I couldn’t finish my meal as it was so unpleasant to eat. Very disappointed.
Absolutely ridiculous, we ordered for takeaway some foods. And the moment we started to have it, it was rotten. The quinoa was completely rotten with onions smells so bad. Absolutely spoiled the lunch. This is from 07/01/2025. Posting few pics, don't go by how it looks as I can't explain how ridiculous it tastes and smells. All who took quinoa, only had 10% toppings and trashed remaining.
It is shocking to see how far Inday has fallen in recent months. Take the macro bowl, barely enough quantity (<1/3 of the bowl), gone are the avocado, fresh vegetables and refreshing taste. It barely qualifies as a snack, let alone the once satisfying and filling meal - cost even more at $16 bucks! We used to be regulars, and used to provide detailed feedback to help keep up the quality. But we are done. Avoid this place, Naya and plenty of other spots like Botaniste a block or two away are better lunch options for a similar price.
Seemed like a nice place - ordered the vegetarian DYI on 2/2 through a doordash pickup ordered. When I opened up, I found a hair in the food. Later checked the health inspection for this place, and the health department has noted there was evidence of 1) mice and 2) inadequate personal cleanliness back in 2022. They offered to remake it, however at that point the damage was done, and opted to get a refund through doordash instead. Safe to say I won't be returning.
