Madman Espresso is a lovely neighborhood gem with a truly unique and exciting design. I had the Matcha latte, and it was delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

If you want real coffee come here, Starbucks is so watered-down now a days that even a red eye doesn't wake me up. Luckily Madman is right next to me or else idk how i would survive the day. Try the Oat latte if your feeling jazzy. cheers!

The vibe of this place is very cozy. Staff is very friendly, service is quick without sacrificing quality of their coffee. Great spot for a quick sit down or to pick up coffee on the go

My new favorite coffee spot! When we visit the city, we hit up all the coffee shops on our list that we of course pull from the viral TikTok crazes. Out of convenience and closeness, we just happened to swing into this shop on a Monday morning. There was no line, no wait, and a very friendly staff, and warm environment! The coffee was amazing! Personally, I care more about the actual espresso than I do about the syrups, cold foams and catch-phrasey drink names. I would put this over any other popular shops we have been to!! I ordered the Sarabella, iced, with oatmilk and it was divine! My only regret was not getting a large! 😋 Can’t wait to return on our next trip!

Promised myself in my NYC trip I would try new things each day, yet after coming to madman on day 1, I returned here every single morning. It's that good. I'm home and already craving it.

The Sarabella coffee was soooo good. Service was amazing. They gave us time to look without rushing us and I love that the simple syrup is out so you can add sweetener to your preference.

Such a cool cafe with great coffee! I got a Caffe latte ( M- $6) and it was very good. I asked to use a mug ( I don't like hot coffee in a paper cup ) and they used a clear cup and it's pretty! ( glass or plastic? I am not sure lol ) Their pastries looked amazing. They have gluten-free & vegan options which are amazing!

It's important to have places like this tucked in the nooks and crannies of Midtown Manhattan. A place with enough seating to have your own space, high ceilings to make the small space feel bigger, and a calm atmosphere to take away from the frantic, quite frankly manic, energy of midtown. Oh and a place that SLANGS great espresso. Madman has become me and my big homies goto spot to grab a coffee. I love Culture Espresso as much as the next person, but that place can get to be a zoo at prime coffee hours. We came here yesterday, and I was initially shocked as he pulled up with short hair and normally his flow is crraaaaazzyyyyyyyy. After asking him why he cut it and what inspired it, I was like damn should I cut mine too? After gathering my bearings from haircut-gate, I copped my patented hot americano with a cup of ice on the side (vet move) and the big homie got a latte... or maybe it was a cappuccino it's really stripping my mind rn damn... I said "stripping my mind" but obviously meant "slipping my mind" but I'm currently listening to that RHCP song "Strip My Mind" ahahaha my b. I was gonna edit that out but just thought y’all should know that. I've attached a pic of the lattuccino in question. It had that beautiful little flower-like design on it... honestly how do baristas do that? That is pure art. How hard is that? I kinda want someone to teach me that just to see how tough it is so I have a greater appreciation for it. I never get milk based coffee because it upsets my tummy (my immune system is iron though I promise), but when someone does and it has that little art I'm always blown away. Little details can make the biggest difference sometimes. Anyways, on the way out there is a big sign above the door that says "Life is Beautiful." I couldn't agree more Madman, I couldn't agree more. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

Cool location with a nice aesthetic. The cold brew is smooth and delicious. Iced matcha latte is pretty good too. Service is friendly and quick. Interior is clean but pretty compact. Not too much space to stand or sit if it gets busy. Would definitely recommend stopping by for a pick me up drink on the way to work in the morning!

Charming little coffee spot. The inside has a rustic no frills kind of vibe, the espresso is good and is the cheapest specialty grade espresso I’ve had in New York. The espresso had a chocolatey nose with a balanced palate, perhaps a touch on the acidic side and a slightly thin finish. Spectacular coffee at this price point. ($1.90)

Walked in on a Saturday google said they were closed but I’m glad we decided to check. The lattes were smooth and not burnt at all. Even the oat milk latte was good and I’m usually not a huge fan of those. Love the little latte art. Prices were equivalent to the bigger chain.

One of the best coffee shops that most people, if you aren't wandering the middle blocks of the Garment District, may not have heard of. The handsome and hip barista truly owns his space making many different kinds of coffee drinks, while stacks of fresh roasted beans look down on him from the shelves above. It's a strong cup, definitely provides the flavor jolt most NYC coffee drinkers crave. I always try a new bake here as well. This time I tried the chocolate banana mini bread loaf, which was fresh and the darker chocolate was a great accompaniment with the strong pour over coffee. This is one coffee shop that is worth getting off the beaten path to find.

Chill little coffee spot offering excellent coffee and tasty breakfast items. On the smaller side but they have tables that accommodate around 20 people or so. Can be a little crowded but I generally look at that as a good sign. A little expensive but then again this is NYC. Medium latte came to $5.19. But it was a really good latte.

Love this vibe, well located, excellent service and excellent double espresso. I wouldn’t say this is the place to bring your laptop and set up shop to work, but it is absolutely the place to escape the city and gather around a table and chat up a storm with your office romance, most recent bromance, collective gaggle of venters and complaining circle, even a stranger you meet in yo way in the door. 😎

The espresso was a well balanced extraction. Great espresso should be a powerful shot without being overwhelming. Beverages are served in glass cups; that's always fun change of pace from other places. The barista made the cappuccino with creative latte art. Such a small detail really elevates the coffee experience.

All I got was coffee - a Mocha latte and a flat white. Both were good, but nothing worth writing a super long review about. The service was lovely. He was really friendly and patient helping my friend decide. The atmosphere was welcoming and there were places to sit, work, and enjoy your morning Joe.

I’m the biggest fan of Madman. Their coffee is excellent! Today on my way to Bryant Park I went to this location and I was so happy to find them there. I usually go to the University one. The barista was very nice, but it was very busy and she was by herself. I think they need at least 2 people at the same time to handle customers in and out. The croissant was dry. They have so many competition next to them so they need more help inside. Because they always have customers. Overall, I’ll always be a fan.

Went there with a friend for Cappuccino. The shop is small but the interior is cool. It was crowded but we got the seat after five minutes. The cappuccino was excellent, definitely better than Starbucks. They had only 1 croissant so my friend didn't eat anything. Service was good.

We stopped in for a cappuccino after arriving in NYC (via Amtrak (this shop is a short walk from Moynihan train hall)). The coffee was quite good (it had a gorgeous flavor profile (yum)). The interior is small (but quaint) yet there were a few open seats (it seems most customers take their coffee to-go (busy fellows that they are)).

The first time I visited them I had an espresso which was really good, well balanced and aftertaste. However, the second time I ordered a cappuccino but neglected to look at the menu. They have three sizes for cappuccinos. A cappuccino is a specific espresso drink and it shouldn’t be larger than 8oz. They gave me a 12oz cup. Now, taste wise my latte was spot on. It was well balanced and I could taste the espresso, so it was good. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was because there should be a distinction between these two clearly different drinks cappuccino and latte. And my wife’s latte was extremely hot and mine was at the right temperature.

Pretty good for its coffee and bagels although the eggs tasted strange and the meat was quite fake tasting. Lovely staff and atmosphere.

I was not impressed by the quality of the pastries, they looked good but they were somewhat dry. The cappuccino art was lovely.
