I recently visited Mezcali in New York, financial district, and I want to share how impressed I was with the service and food, especially thanks to Patricio and Ethan and Stephan. Also thanks to Alex and Erick for taking care on the bar experience. They were super friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and taken care of. The meal itself was really delicious. I had the barbacoa, and it was outstanding: tender, flavorful, and juicy just what you expect from a good barbacoa. I also tried the Diablo Steak tacos, which were full of flavor, and ended the night with a Coco Passion Pie for dessert — a sweet, satisfying finish. Overall, I felt that Patricio and Eitan provided excellent service with a warm, friendly vibe, and the food was top-notch. I would definitely go back. Highly recommend 👏

This place was easy to find and had such a nice vibe as soon as we walked in. I loved the aesthetics — the lighting is dim, setting a cozy and romantic tone, and the little candles on each table make it feel extra inviting. I ordered the Baja bowl, and it was really good — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My guest had a passionfruit margarita and absolutely loved it. The guac was also delicious, perfectly seasoned, and a great start to the meal. The service was excellent — friendly and attentive without being rushed. Overall, a lovely dining experience. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.

Erick and Cesar are amazing! They are so knowledgeable on the cocktails on the menu as well as what to mix with their different types of Mezcal’s. The food was amazing and I can’t wait to come back for brunch! Very welcoming and friendly spot- with incredible vibes.

Happened to come a ross this place about 11:30 on a Sunday and had One of the best chicken salads I’ve ever had. So I took my girl here the very next night we both loved it. Good food, good drinks, friendly staff, good atmosphere….We sat at the bar.

Such a cool ambience and venue, it’s pretty dimly lit and with nice music. REAL candles at every table which I feel like is so rare. Food tastes fresh and the salsa is killer. This is my go to date spot, and i’m from California so I know good Mexican Food. Ethan was such a sweet server and blissfully listened to me ramble for like 5 minutes in a row. Had the best time at Mezcali in Manhattan! The mezcalitas and the mezcal old fashioned were absolutely incredible—perfectly crafted and full of flavor. From the impeccable service to the wonderful atmosphere and delectable food, everything was simply outstanding. I was so impressed that I paused my meal just to write this review—I couldn't wait any longer! This place is definitely being added to my list of top favorites. It was a wonderful way to start off my birthday! Special shoutout to our waiter, Stephen, who was exceptionally attentive to my dietary restrictions and offered superb food and drink recommendations. We are eagerly looking forward to our next visit!

Great atmosphere,cool and relaxed ambiance Super quick and nice service The food was fresh and very tasty We ordered: Short rib dumplings -the sauce was just yummm Beef tacos- has some nice heat to it and the beef is very flavourful Fish tacos- delicious,jucy fried fish 10/10 Guacamole- nice and fresh Washed it all down with some cold cocktails We ordered 2 desert - 1 was like a salt caramel cream sandwich which was a very generous portion and was tasty but a bit too salty for my taste,the other desert was a spin on a lemon pie with a very nice combo of sweet and sour -I really enjoyed that one. The portions are good as well, we were 2 people,we could not finish the desserts-we were stuffed 🫣

Mezcali easily has one of the best bottomless brunches I’ve been to in a long time and their appetizers are to die for. Order the passion fruit mimosa and birria dumplings, you won’t regret it. The fish tacos are also incredible with the perfect mix of crispy white fish, crunchy slaw, and creamy sauce. Everything was so fresh and flavorful that you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Made a last minute reservation and so glad I did! The food was so fresh and tasty. From the salsas to the entrees, everything came out pleasing to the eye and the taste buds. And all the cocktails are made with freshly made juices and mixers. So good! My favs: the trio salsas, taco salad, shrimp taco and cornbread.

TLDR: Okay spot for upscale Mexican. A frequent patron here for work outings - food is generally okay. Avocado & taco salads inexplicably have copious amounts of mint, and without protein, were quite mid. The grilled chicken, however, was spiced really well and was fire. Ambiance and service generally match up to the restaurant’s promise, but price is quite high for what you get tho.
