Avis sur Mudville 9 New York
Returned for lunch after a long absence. Had the Cheeseburger and Garlic Parm & Buffalo Chicken Wings along with a couple pitchers of Narragansett beer. The burgers and sandwiches come bare so we ordered a side of fries to share. The wings were on the smaller side but were tasty. The fries were fantastic, light crisp and fluffy in the middle. The burger was very good. Very positive experience.
Fantastic sports bar with great food and an awesome atmosphere! Mudville is the perfect place to relax after work or hang out with friends. The ribs were tender and full of flavor, and the wings were crispy and delicious. Huge selection of beers on tap and classic pub drinks. The space is clean, stylish, and comfortable with a rustic vibe. Staff were friendly, attentive, and fast even during busy hours. Prices are fair for the quality and location. Highly recommended if you’re in the area — I’ll definitely be back!
After an emotional visit to Ground Zero we started just walking. I needed a beer and there was Mudville. We had a couple drinks and then some wings and then we did chips & guac. EVERYTHING was outstanding. Big thanks to our server who recognized my wife was struggling with her beer choice and he came over with some samples. She choose something she liked much better. It is the little things that make a big difference. Great visit and I will be hosting some work lunches here in the near future.
Had a great time at Mudville! The vibe was lively, the space comfortable, and the food was solid tasty dishes and great service. Loved how easy it was to get a table and the staff were really on top of it. Definitely will be going back!
I appreciate every thoughtful detail this restaurant offers. This spot adds value to our local area. I left happy with my meal. Adding to my satisfaction, the proprietor is extremely friendly and observant. The entire experience was enjoyable.
My husband and I love turkey burgers (which are not that easy to come by in restaurants). The turkey burgers here are out of this world! So packed full of fresh herbs and garlic. Occasionally my husband gets the chicken sandwich and he says it is really good, too. We always receive fantastic service and food at Mudville. We really enjoy having Camilla as our server & the manager (I believe, Brian) spent several minutes at our table making sure everything was great (plus other "food talk"). Mudville is our kind of neighborhood bar!
I try not to go off a restaurant based off a pickup order but the food is decent. Portioning for the price is a bit off but the hot honey sauce on the wings had a nice spice to it. If your heat sensitive, one or two fries will do the trick. Service was excellent and I really want to try their desserts out next time I go. This is an establishment that would be good for a meeting, date, or after work wine down.
Came here and sat outside. They have happy hour specials from 3-6 from Tuesday to Friday. We started off with cocktails which were a good amount of sweet and refreshing. We ordered brussel sprouts, wings, and mac and cheese to share. I also got the fried chicken sandwich and we got chocolate chip cookies with the bill. The meal was good and the service was prompt.
Expansive beer list with interesting offerings on draft. The staff were attentive and friendly and the space was well laid out: plenty of varied seating (high tops, regular tables, a long bar). The food is normal Americana pub fare with wings and such and the prices were reasonable. I didn't notice a happy hour special but would definitely return.
Came in during trip visiting friends. Ratings may have given us high expectations. It’s average at best. Drinks were overpriced and food just standard pub quality. Constant upselling was a turn off but service was good.
Overpriced - I came here thinking it would be cheaper than my usual spot nearby. Turkey burger was $19 with no sides and had sauce spilled down the sides so I couldn’t pick it up without getting my fingers messy so I had to use a fork and knife. I ordered a beer in a can that was $16! I should have checked the price but I’ve never paid that much for a beer before so a bit surprising and the server did not bring my attention to it so I was shocked when the bill came. Not sure what’s going on here but VERY overpriced in my opinion. I won’t be coming back.
Very disappointing experience, both food and service. I came in with high expectations based on reviews, but the reality didn’t match at all. I ordered the steak and fries: the skirt steak was over-seasoned to the point of masking the meat’s flavor, and the cooking was way off. I asked for medium rare, got something close to well done, with no sear/no Maillard reaction, the steak felt almost boiled. The Caesar salad was just sad: plain lettuce with some parmesan, nothing more, for $19. That’s the same price as a pepperoni pizza or chicken sandwich, and $2 more than short rib sliders but felt like a bland side, not a real dish. I’m not even upset about the prices, cuz I understand NYC is expensive, and I work in the industry but when the food lacks care, that’s where the real problem is. What made things worse was the service. Our server checked on us literally 10 seconds after the food arrived, while I was still cutting the steak. The overall vibe felt like forced friendliness aimed at the tip, not genuine hospitality. We politely shared our feedback with the manager, who barely reacted with a flat “I’ll let them know.” Then, when paying, both the server and manager were hovering around us to see how much we’d tip and we even overheard the manager whispering to the server about it as we walked out. I did leave a tip out of respect for the kitchen staff, but overall, the experience was far from what it should have been. A restaurant’s reputation is built not only on food, but on how customers feel when they walk out the door.
The burger was dry and not particularly tasty, and the spicy crispy chicken burger was neither spicy nor crispy, it tasted very sour due to the large amount of vinegar.
$I only gave this place 1 star because I could not give it 0 We read on the internet that this place had award winning wings, a buddy and I order 2 half dozen each which came to 32$ (wild price for 12 wings) we didn’t mind the price to get good award winning wings, we left with our 12 wings and ate at work otherwise I wouldn’t have walked back in and demanded a refund. The boneless wings were tiny gross burnt chicken nuggets smaller then Wendy’s and McDonald’s nuggets smothered in sauce, the ranch and blue cheese were gross they tasted old and expired and freezer burnt freezing cold and chunky even the ranch. For 32 dollars I expect real wings not tiny chicken nuggets and for a half dozen I expect 6 wings I guess the cook can’t count because I had 5 in each order, I wouldn’t eat here even it was free, after spending 32$ on these chicken nuggets we were starving, my worst purchase and food experience in NY in 10 years, do not go here for wings there are a million other cheaper options that taste a lot better and give you a lot more food. I spent 30+ at pug uglies and the boneless wings tasted amazing and were giant , 10 of them lasted me 2 days.
Live in the neighborhood and will not be returning due to staff overcharging. ordered 8oz beers and was charged for 16oz beers, when we called to fix the bill they would not fix it (seems like they did this on purpose knowing to a large table) . Plenty of other better bars with better food, service and vibes!
Let me start by saying I *really* tried to give this place a fair shot. But my experience? A hot mess from start to finish. First time we go in -- just me and my sister- we have an hour to kill before our haunted house activity. So let's rock it right? We ordered a margarita, a water, and hot wings. After **37 minutes**, the bartender comes back like, "Oh, I forgot to put in your order." *Thirty-seven minutes of us sitting at the bar looking in our face, even had the audacity to set up plates in front of us. Obviously, now the time has gone by and we have to go. The manager *Jo* she was nice about it, gave us a lemon drop shot, apologized, and told us to come back after our activity -- said she'd comp the wings. Cool. I appreciated that. So we actually did come back later that night with the rest of my siblings. We ordered guac, honey hot wings, and drinks. The buffalo wings (which she comped) were honestly the best thing we had. Everything else? Mid. Definitely not worth the prices. Then -- and this part annoyed me -- I asked for ranch with my wings, and they brought out some mystery white dip that turned out to be *dill.* I said, "This isn't ranch," and the server just said, "Oh, it's a dill dip," like that was no big deal. Um, what if I was allergic to pickles? People have *actual* allergies. Zero care or concern. And then, because apparently this is their theme, I ordered another drink before closing out and waited another 25-30 minutes. The manager comes back (again) like, "I'm so sorry, your server forgot to put it in." She comped it, but at that point, I was just over it. I even asked her, "Why do all your servers forget to put orders in? That's literally the job." She just kept apologizing. Now, I hate to even go here, but it's hard to ignore: we were the *only* Black customers there -- and the only people of color at all, including staff. We were sat in the corner and basically forgotten. Twice. Make of that what you will, but it didn't sit right with me. Bottom line: the wings were solid, but the service was careless, the food was meh, and the vibe was off. Overpriced and underwhelming. I left frustrated and disappointed -- and I'm definitely not coming back. **I was able to post the video of the establishment on YELP. **
It was our first time trying this place. We asked lunch deal beer and hamburger for 10$ (10.88$ with tax and 0.12$ for change that we didn’t get)… we asked if it is possible to take away, but she said no… the waitress forgot about us and we waited beer like 15 min, then she forgot our hamburger and when we asked for it, it turns out they have already prepared the hamburger ready for take away long time ago and it was already cold🤦♀️😵💫. If i could i would say 0/5 for service
