Tip: Be aware that seating is limited, so takeout might be necessary. The pastries are a must-try, and the iced osmanthus drink is refreshing.

Supper cute coffee shop with hand grafted gifts and home decor!
So happy to have this place so close by! Very cute and welcoming 💕
Cutest little spot with amazing hibiscus tea for this awful heat!
Really cute shop to grab a coffee and a tasty pastry!
the coffee and the space are so connected; loved them both!!!
Katie is always so amazing!

Tiny. Perfect.
Great latte and breakfast tacos
Great coffee and espresso
Wonderful little gem of a coffee spot
Super cute new spot
Great neighborhood addition.
Best coffee in the area
Had a matcha , it was really good, very quiet and peaceful.
Love this new place in the neighborhood!! Really kind service, great pastries, and quality coffee. Their lavender latte with oat milk is my new go to
I love the Oma Shop, easily my favorite spot in all of Harlem! Everyone who works here are the best people and the coffee is great :)))
Pros: Friendly staff, great coffee interesting gifts and black owned!!! Cons: no public restroom Haven't tried the food but hope to soon.
Everything a specialty coffee place should have (quality beans, quality equipment, professional baristas). On top of that, the staff was very friendly and the place super zen. Congrats !
Lovely space, great coffee and pastries (the vanilla cream filled donut!) and eclectic playlists filling the space with good music.
I love Oma, both shops. it’s the best coffee i’ve had . and the atmosphere it’s great
Super cute and cozy spot! I love the aesthetics. They also sell nice home goods. ☺️🌺☕️
Ohm yummmmm 🙏 Always a beautiful experience at Oma. Absolutely delicious pastries and hot beverages made with warmth and love 💕
Best coffee shop in the entire world!!! I would come here everyday if were you ;)
cute coffee shop with nice pastries and other merchandise.
Espresso is excellent. Place is super cute. Staff is very friendly.
Quaint and elegant coffee shop with some gift-worthy home items - stylish but limited seating
Always a wonderful time when I come here. The owner and staff are amazing. Great location!
Cute place. Small but lovely overall
Very well curated cute little shop with the cutest people working. Shop small and support local businesses
Quaint, cute, not too much of anything at all. It's just right! I love it! ❤️
Nice place, great barista, good coffee. Loved everything about this place.
So happy to call this place my local! Coffee approved by this Aussie.
Exceptional drinks and pastries. Nice place for good coffee. Also has a selection of unique art and home goods and an overall calm and friendly vibe.
Lovely decor and ambience. The barista was very welcoming and the hazelnut latte very tasty and not too sweet. I’ll definitely be stopping in again.
So cute and such a nice and friendly barista. Portion sizes are small but the coffee is great.
Great addition to the neighborhood. Family run business in Harlem, what’s not to love! They had great breakfast options, on the go type pastries perfect for my commute. Coffee is excellent and staff was super nice. I’ll definitely be back here … often .. like every day. Best of luck!!
Lovely experience. Beautiful inside. Music was good and set a lovely vibe inside on a cold day. Limited seating made it even more special when I was able to sit down at a table and stare out the window. Barista was kind and the coffee/bagel were exactly the quality I was hoping for. Went in an hour before close - which isn’t usually ideal for food service establishments - but I didn’t feel unwelcome. Elevated spot.
Lovely baristas who go above and beyond to help. A few weeks ago one even created a new beverage just for me to try ❤ the owner was so friendly too! They also carry some unique home decor items. I'm excited to see what else they will curate this year.
I live in the neighborhood and love coming here for the boutique coffee vibes. Bonus if you get Katie as your barista, she’s great!
Their chai is vegan! Both the chai and hibiscus tea that I ordered were delicious. They have a small assortment of vegan muffins; the one I ordered was blueberry and it was so good and filling. Highly recommend if looking for a great chai or a quick morning beverage. The barista was also super wonderful and the ambiance was homey and peaceful. Will definitely be returning.
A gem in the heart of Hamilton Heights. It's not your run of the mill coffee. The moment I walked in I felt like I was home. I was only there for 10 minutes, but wanted to stay. I purchased the hibiscus tea with blue lotus. It was amazingly refreshing. Just what I needed on a hot summer day.
black owned, beautiful space, fun art to buy. they also source great small businesses for their pastries like Hungry Gnome everything biscuits 😩💕 small place with only a couple seats but never too busy
Yay - a chic new caffeine spot with gorgeous pastries too. A very "downtown" feel with uptown space and comfort. So, welcome to Hamilton Heights. I'll be seeing more of you. Dogs are welcome here - so +++ :)
Everything was great! We got a few different drinks and a pastry and it was all really good. Staff was also friendly and the shop itself has a calming low key vibe. Will definitely go again!
Delicious Matcha and pastry in a lovely setting. Great gifts as well, left with soaps and a mug. Good stopping point to have a treat before getting on the GW for a long drive.
Stopped by on my way to the train and was greeted by the biggest scone I’ve see in my life. The scone and cold brew (splashes of oat milk) were excellent and the barista was a joy to chat with. Date of visit: 10/6/25
Cozy little spot for coffee. There is a little bit of seating inside and outside. The iced osmanthus drink was actually really refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness.
A different type of chai than I have had before. Stronger on 1 spice (unknown) than the rest, but I like it. I recommend the Croissant cinnamon bun hybrid. It's lighter in texture without all sugary frosting on top; a personal preference of mine. The owner also sells a product line that grabbed my attention. I definitely keep it in mind.
Very cute new Black owned coffee shop and retail store in Hamilton Heights. I swung by today and had a rose milk latte with a vanilla filled donut - both were delicious. The barista named Talia was very kind and welcoming. It’s a small space but I definitely plan to stop by again.
This place is just so esthetic, but i still prefer the fred Douglas branch as they have area to sit and dine, but still cute , this shop can accomodate 2 people inside to sit and chill and they have outside benches The hibiscus is my daughter’s fave, that purple Color is gorgeous
Such a welcome addition to the neighborhood! Over the course of the pandemic, this block has been getting progressively sadder and more run down. This chic little Cafe/shop, owned by a Harlem native (who i chatted with on my first visit s few days ago), brightens up the street. Really cute branding, just in bed of a more noticable sign from the outside, which I'm sure is forthcoming. I've been three times in three days, I'm just so happy you've moved in! Lattes are great, pastries beautiful, and the products for sale are lovely. We bought everything we could justify this morning just to support the new addition to Hamilton Heights. Hooray for the Oma! Welcome welcome!
Tasty and beautiful place! I had Lavender tea, it was warm and tasty. The shop is beautiful, cozy and warm. The owners was warm, nice, beautiful especially their daughter. I went in the shop to buy coffee and left with tea and it was a good choice. The owner is so easy to talk to and it wasn’t force. It felt so nice that I went back to my car and brought my daughter to play with there daughter. I will make sure to come back and drive the distance from the bronx!
had a delicious iced chai latte, and there is a full case of gorgeous pastries and baked goods!
It’s rare to look into a storefront and immediately recognize how much care and attentiveness went into the details. From the Venetian plaster to the hint of lavender in the London Fog (you’ll be back for it!), the warm croissant-like caramelized texture of the Morning Roll, or the gorgeous ceramic home goods — Oma calms, energizes, and inspires in equal measure. Thank you!!!

Really lovely small cafe with great drinks and baked goods. There isn't really much seating, so always have to do takeout, but the service and food/drink quality is nice. I wasn't a fan of the matcha, but everything else is delicious and the pastries are really incredible.
Their pastries are really good! They have good selection of vegan milk. I tried the chai latte it was way too sweet for me personally, but I will be back for coffee and pastries.
I love the rich, dark, creamy, chocolatey espresso here. All the baristas are friendly and skilled.
Good coffee, good food, friendly service. I might actually purchase the overpriced home decorating items and mugs for sale while ordering coffee.
I've been coming to Oma Shop for years now, it's easily my favorite coffee shop in Hamilton Heights. Not just for the coffee and food but also for the great people working there and visiting. Kate makes me laugh everytime I'm there, on top of making a great latte and memorizing my order. If you're new to the neighborhood, it's a great spot to meet people and make new friends in the area.
I loved the minimalist design, barista was very friendly. Their pastries variety is very limited but they have good stuff. They also offer on the side small businesses items.Coming back here soon!

Great coffee great location
OMA Coffee has a really nice modern café vibe — minimalist, clean, and relaxing despite being in the middle of busy New York. The coffee was smooth and enjoyable, and the space itself felt cozy enough to slow down for a while. Not necessarily the most unforgettable coffee spot in the city, but definitely a solid place for a good cup of coffee, casual conversations, or just taking a little break from walking around NYC. Simple, aesthetic, and easy to like.
Very nice vibe and decor. Oat milk cappuccino was good, but unfortunately don’t have decaf coffee
My husband and I adore this coffee shop! Lately, if we go an hour before they close, they aren't using their espresso machine. Unsure of what is going on. Maybe they changed their hours?
Great coffee ☺️ and great spot in Hamilton Heights. Prices are average for coffee in Manhattan, and the atmosphere is so cute. Definitely a place to hang out with a friend. My first time here I was asked to not eat anything purchased outside (so just be aware of that). 😗
Cute shop on Amsterdam. Good coffee, cheesy bread and vibes. Come visit ☕️

I visited this shop a few times and really like the space and location. They make a solid expresso; the pastries aren’t bad either. The patrons and barista do not really have a warm personality, which is unfortunate, but at lease the coffee is good. Wish them much success.

I really wish for how pretty this place is, and I admire spending mornings here more consistency to their daily brews…
no outlets no ac. very small inside. not the place to come hangout but good place to pick up coffee and food
It’s nice, the coffee is too milky for me.
No WiFi?!?!?! Awesome coffee, great brew. Outrageous prices. The tables are a hazard, scraped my leg on the rocks. Barista is snooty, but I imagine the job is not easy. But it is also 11AM and saturation of people in the shop is SO low. This is the easiest job ever.
Extremely hit or miss depending on the coffee being brewed and the person behind the bar. I had a stellar 5 star experience when the shop had some great coffee being ground/brewed, and the staff was welcoming. I also had a 0 star visit when the barista couldn't care less about me being there. Without exaggerating, she didn't utter a single word to me when I entered, ordered, paid, grabbed my drink, and left. A truly baffling experience that didn't make me feel welcome as a customer. I probably wouldn't return if I see she's behind the bar. Beautiful shop though.

Went at 4:50 pm and girl says they were closed. So change your hours. I won’t be back.
This place is a mess. Ordered online and when my delivery got here it was just the drink. Missing the food I ordered. No one called I would have just cancelled my order.
I wish I received the same warm welcome as others have posted. I’ve given this place a few chances and yet my experience was just the opposite. They should be working at a back office somewhere because they lack social skills- no greeting, barely any eye contact, no thank you or you’re welcome. Each time I was the only customer so it’s not like it was busy. I say thank you and the reply is mmhmm. Odd that people are saying it’s warm and welcoming. I’m from the neighborhood but I’d rather walk 7 blocks further then ever return to this place
The new Oma shop location on 146th and Frederick Douglas service is very bad. I’m not sure if the girl who is working behind the register is racist or just very bad at customer service, whenever I go there she gives me dirty looks and don’t even say hi, thank you, goodbye. But I saw her communicating with black customers and she is totally different with them, laughing, talking, making conversation and saying thank you and all the basic customer service things. The owner is very nice, however this girl who works behind the register is absolutely rude and racist towards asian people and white people. I will not going to be going there anymore. And anyone who is asian or white, do not go there unless you want to get dirty looks and bad customer service. Do better!
