Oma New York Reviews
Stopped by on my way to the train and was greeted by the biggest scone I’ve see in my life. The scone and cold brew (splashes of oat milk) were excellent and the barista was a joy to chat with. Date of visit: 10/6/25
Cozy little spot for coffee. There is a little bit of seating inside and outside. The iced osmanthus drink was actually really refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness.
A different type of chai than I have had before. Stronger on 1 spice (unknown) than the rest, but I like it. I recommend the Croissant cinnamon bun hybrid. It's lighter in texture without all sugary frosting on top; a personal preference of mine. The owner also sells a product line that grabbed my attention. I definitely keep it in mind.
Very cute new Black owned coffee shop and retail store in Hamilton Heights. I swung by today and had a rose milk latte with a vanilla filled donut - both were delicious. The barista named Talia was very kind and welcoming. It’s a small space but I definitely plan to stop by again.
This place is just so esthetic, but i still prefer the fred Douglas branch as they have area to sit and dine, but still cute , this shop can accomodate 2 people inside to sit and chill and they have outside benches The hibiscus is my daughter’s fave, that purple Color is gorgeous
Such a welcome addition to the neighborhood! Over the course of the pandemic, this block has been getting progressively sadder and more run down. This chic little Cafe/shop, owned by a Harlem native (who i chatted with on my first visit s few days ago), brightens up the street. Really cute branding, just in bed of a more noticable sign from the outside, which I'm sure is forthcoming. I've been three times in three days, I'm just so happy you've moved in! Lattes are great, pastries beautiful, and the products for sale are lovely. We bought everything we could justify this morning just to support the new addition to Hamilton Heights. Hooray for the Oma! Welcome welcome!
Tasty and beautiful place! I had Lavender tea, it was warm and tasty. The shop is beautiful, cozy and warm. The owners was warm, nice, beautiful especially their daughter. I went in the shop to buy coffee and left with tea and it was a good choice. The owner is so easy to talk to and it wasn’t force. It felt so nice that I went back to my car and brought my daughter to play with there daughter. I will make sure to come back and drive the distance from the bronx!
had a delicious iced chai latte, and there is a full case of gorgeous pastries and baked goods!
It’s rare to look into a storefront and immediately recognize how much care and attentiveness went into the details. From the Venetian plaster to the hint of lavender in the London Fog (you’ll be back for it!), the warm croissant-like caramelized texture of the Morning Roll, or the gorgeous ceramic home goods — Oma calms, energizes, and inspires in equal measure. Thank you!!!

Really lovely small cafe with great drinks and baked goods. There isn't really much seating, so always have to do takeout, but the service and food/drink quality is nice. I wasn't a fan of the matcha, but everything else is delicious and the pastries are really incredible.
Their pastries are really good! They have good selection of vegan milk. I tried the chai latte it was way too sweet for me personally, but I will be back for coffee and pastries.
I love the rich, dark, creamy, chocolatey espresso here. All the baristas are friendly and skilled.
Good coffee, good food, friendly service. I might actually purchase the overpriced home decorating items and mugs for sale while ordering coffee.
I've been coming to Oma Shop for years now, it's easily my favorite coffee shop in Hamilton Heights. Not just for the coffee and food but also for the great people working there and visiting. Kate makes me laugh everytime I'm there, on top of making a great latte and memorizing my order. If you're new to the neighborhood, it's a great spot to meet people and make new friends in the area.
I loved the minimalist design, barista was very friendly. Their pastries variety is very limited but they have good stuff. They also offer on the side small businesses items.Coming back here soon!

Great coffee ☺️ and great spot in Hamilton Heights. Prices are average for coffee in Manhattan, and the atmosphere is so cute. Definitely a place to hang out with a friend. My first time here I was asked to not eat anything purchased outside (so just be aware of that). 😗
Cute shop on Amsterdam. Good coffee, cheesy bread and vibes. Come visit ☕️

I visited this shop a few times and really like the space and location. They make a solid expresso; the pastries aren’t bad either. The patrons and barista do not really have a warm personality, which is unfortunate, but at lease the coffee is good. Wish them much success.

No WiFi?!?!?! Awesome coffee, great brew. Outrageous prices. The tables are a hazard, scraped my leg on the rocks. Barista is snooty, but I imagine the job is not easy. But it is also 11AM and saturation of people in the shop is SO low. This is the easiest job ever.
Extremely hit or miss depending on the coffee being brewed and the person behind the bar. I had a stellar 5 star experience when the shop had some great coffee being ground/brewed, and the staff was welcoming. I also had a 0 star visit when the barista couldn't care less about me being there. Without exaggerating, she didn't utter a single word to me when I entered, ordered, paid, grabbed my drink, and left. A truly baffling experience that didn't make me feel welcome as a customer. I probably wouldn't return if I see she's behind the bar. Beautiful shop though.
