Avis sur Pebble Bar New York
We came here on a Friday at opening time after having lunch in the area, and were able to get the first seats at the bar. The space is unique for the area, occupying a converted townhouse adjacent to Radio City/Rockefeller Center. The cocktails were all well-made, and focuses on classics or derivations of. The space was fairly full when we left around 5pm, but the entire lower bar area is reserved for walk-ins. A great option for a good cocktail in the area that is a welcome change from the tourist-focused options that appear on every block in this part of Midtown.
Pebble bar was amazing! We had the best service and the martinis were to die for. Reservations are recommended but not required. Go early if not and enjoy before the reservations. Oyster season and the oysters did not disappoint also the steak tartare came with a surprise caviar topping that was a nice surprise. Highly recommend if in midtown!
This lively cocktail bar was the perfect stop before heading to dinner in the area. We sat on the third floor bar where they had a large menu of speciality and classic cocktails. The drinks were fantastic and unique. The atmosphere was livelier than expected, in a good way. The bar is sports themed so it was fun to take in all the decor. My drink even came with a baseball card. This is not a sleepy cocktail bar, but a energetic place to go after work or before grabbing dinner.
Drinks are incredibly well mixed and the bartenders were very attentive which was very nice considering we went right after work (5 pm) on a Wednesday, so it was super busy. I first went back in June and again in November, seems they switched out some of their drinks so it keeps things different for the season. Highly recommend 👌🏻
We had a delightful time at Pebble Bar. We might have gotten lucky on our timing, we had just stopped in for a drink on our way to dinner. Fortunately there was space for us. Tiny and dim in a nice way, the atmosphere was great. Bartenders knowledgeable and nice to interact with. They checked on us and made sure we were having a good time. Our drinks were great. I had one with clarified apple, really delicious. Came with a fun baseball card on the side (although I never did understand the connection with the cocktail, it was a great little piece of ephemera for me to take home).
I had a wonderful experience here! The food tastes amazing definitely not your typical bar food. The quality is outstanding, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The bartender Hanna and Rodrigo is awesome she’s an absolute gem and made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place!
This amazing little bar was recommended by work friends. We were not disappointed and the wait to get in on a Wednesday evening was WORTH it! We ended up going to the second floor and had amazing service by our bartender, "T". The Negroni is on tap and one of the best versions I've tasted. Rivals ones that I had previously in northern Italy. Our appetizer was a collection of mouth watering olives. We will definitely go back on our next trip to NYC!
Fantastic bar, really cozy but casual setting which you don’t really expect from being in Rockefeller Center. Recommend the upstairs bar on 3rd floor- the 2nd floor bar was super loud. Bar menu is great- love the onion dip and the lamb sliders. But the cocktails are Ben better. The menu is full of classics and also new things I’d never tried. Love the penicillin and paper plane.
This nondescript townhouse in the middle of Rockefeller Center is a true gem. I suspect reservation’s to sit upstairs are a must but I can’t say for sure as we were someone’s guests. When you enter you are greeted by a doorman who will send you up a narrow flight of stairs. Pretty sure I saw a small elevator but check before you go. On the second floor is a open bar area seemingly standing room only. This is where the true host stand is. With a reservation we were ushered upstairs where we were seated at a small table. At 5pm on a Wednesday the room was empty, by 6:30 it was full. The menu is an array of small plates ranging from olives to a lobster roll. They offer an assortment of cocktails and mock-tails prices are typical for the area. It’s an elegant room before of after the theater or skating and certainly a place to visit if you plan to be in the area.
My friends and I popped in spontaneously a few days ago. It’s super loud downstairs (standing only) so we went upstairs and seated at a table. Still loud, but not bad. Very tight between table and chairs. Good cocktail list, expensive as others have mentioned. Service was extremely slow. I think we waited for our drinks for at least 20 min. Why not have two bartenders at rush hour? Good spot for the location and I’m sure it’s packed during holiday season, that said upstairs might be a fire hazard??
We went to the third floor of this upstairs bar with views of Rockefeller Centre. It was warm and cozy on a cold night before Christmas. The cocktails were excellent. We had a wonderful corner table. We had the olives, not so good. We live in Europe so we have expectations. We would have eaten more but the menu seemed odd and eclectic. But we were thankful to have enjoyed a few cocktails here before dinner.
Pebble Bar has a beautiful space and a cool NYC vibe definitely feels like a privilege to work and visit here. When we arrived, we were greeted by a shorter Hispanic bartender who kindly handed us menus and made us feel welcome right away, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the service after that was disappointing. The bartender who made our drinks mixed them up, tasted them in front of us, and never excused himself or acknowledged the mistake. Watching that happen, especially at $22 a cocktail, made us feel overlooked and undervalued as guests. For a place with this reputation and price point, I expected more professionalism and warmth. While parts of the experience were positive, the inconsistency in service left us underwhelmed. Pebble Bar has the atmosphere I hope the attention to guests matches it moving forward.
Had a chance to find the Pop-up Pebble Bar inside the Rockefeller Rink. When I think about Rockefeller rink, it only gives me the nostalgic winter vibes during winter in NY. But we were there in summer and didn’t expect anything. Look what we found. I love the chilling vibes this place gave so much. Imagine the busy day, packed with tourists and you find this place. That was exactly my feeling. We grabbed a drink to share between 2. Bartender is so so friendly while we filmed the drink making show. We sat on the wooden staircase facing the famous Prometheus and Atlas sipping that lovely drink. And yes the price is for sure high. But it was worth for that hectic day we had.
I see some complaints about price, but we used this restaurant app that gave us $25 off (linked on my profile) so it was actually not bad for 2 cocktails each. There’s an upper floor bar that’s a proper bar, whereas the bottom floor is more like a pub for cocktails. The upper floor you really have to make a reservation for if you’re going during peak hours. We had the bottom floor, and considering the menu is the same, it’s not as good of an experience — to the extent that I’m not sure if it’s even worth going (unless you’re in the area) if you don’t get into the actual bar. I do want to return just to see if I’m left with a better impression on the upper floor.
Fine spot to grab a drink if you're a tourist. It's very cozy and in a great spot. Know that it closes at 2- we bought our drinks 10 minutes before and then were told we had to leave and ditch the drinks we just spent money on. Expensive (as expected) for not the greatest atmosphere and service.
It’s an interesting place in the middle of Rockefeller center area. The drinks and food were decent. I quite liked the deviled eggs. The banana foster drink was a little too intense for my taste but did taste like banana foster dessert. We tried the chips / dip and mushroom tartlet, the mushroom was pretty good. There was barely any lighting and it was quite loud, but other than that it’s a good bar.
A friend and I had drinks and appetizers here, first time for both of us. The hostess was lovely and our server, Jennifer, was incredible! She was funny and witty, and very savvy with her knowledge of beverages. If there are deviled eggs on the menu I must have them! These spicy little chicks did not disappoint. What did disappoint is that halfway through a round of drinks We were told that another reservation was waiting on our table and we had to leave. With no advance warning. Our drinks were quite strong and so we basically had to chug them and leave. My friend and I both hit the restroom before we left and as we were leaving we looked over and were very disappointed to see that our table table was still empty. The reservation did not indicate any type of timeframe.
It's an okay bar near Rockefeller center. Quite small, but it's alright. What's not fine is how much i spent for 2 glasses of vodka soda. $44!! No paper bill, its on the cc machine. It was dark, late night, i didnt really pay attention to the details at the bottom, -which was in tiny font- if service aka tipa was included or not. Once i selected OK, it asked for tips. My total became $49 for 2 glasses of vodka soda! That's high even for Manhattan price!!! If tips is automatically included, they should make the font bigger or not asking for tips again. No, not recommending this place.
I only had a drink at the downstairs bar, so I did not get the full, restaurant/reservation area experience. It was fine. I would go back if I was in the area. I liked my drink and the decor but it was not amazing. It was a Tuesday night in Midtown, so maybe that is why it was a mit meh.
High-quality cocktails with interesting flavors, but a bit overpriced. We didn't know that we couldn't even get a proper table for five with reservation which felt disappointing. At $22–24 per drink, you could find similar quality high-end bar elsewhere with much better environment and service. Overall, decent drinks, but if you only go to their second floor for drinks, it's not a good experience.
