I'm not a huge fan of southern food but I have to say that the appetizer menu at the Ribbon is fantastic. They have an awesome oyster special as well, making the bar area a great place to have a drink and some oysters. The Ribbon in general is a beautifully done establishment with very nice and attentive servers. I highly recommend it here, especially for happy hour!

Had a lovely time here - our server was Stephania, and she made great recommendations and was so very friendly and attentive. Very lovely vibe in the decor and atmosphere, and we loved our food!

I came for a celebration event sponsored by the Alzheimer's Walk. And Yes! The fried chicken is good! Wagyu beef negamaki was yummy! Fried oyster over pickled jalapeños deviled egg had a bit too much mayo but was very fun to eat. I enjoyed the broccoli rabe although it was a little tough. I was not a fan of edamame dumplings though. The service was exceptional-polite, efficient even with just refilling your ice water and clearing your table of mess. The ambience was very friendly and inviting. I would brings friend family, friends, young or old here. There is something for everyone.

Great restaurant, great vibe, great environment. We have come here the last two times on our visits to NYC. We’ll go back again. The pricing of their wine felt a little bit expensive, and they charged us $4.50 a glass for soda water which seemed excessive.

A gem on the UWS! We ate at the bar and had a bunch of amazing appetizers including a sushi roll (with wagyu), bao buns, dumplings, buffalo cauliflower and more. The bartender Mike was friendly and very hospitable. Next time we will be dining at a table. They even have private room for parties etc. can’t wait to come back

My son and I were celebrating our same day birthday's. Having a long history of dining at the Ribbon there was no other place for us to celebrate with 30 of our closest friends and family. We were treated like family and every aspect - Food, Service, Atmosphere - was a 5 Star Experience!!!! There was something for everyone on the menu. A wonderful night for all. Thank you to the Ribbon!!!!!

We traveled all the way from Miami to celebrate our wedding at The Ribbon, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! From the owners and managers to our amazing event planner Heather — and the incredible servers and bartenders — every single person made the entire process easy, seamless, and truly enjoyable. The decorations were stunning, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service and hospitality were unmatched. Everyone on the team went above and beyond to make all our wishes come true, and it showed in every detail of the night. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was and how wonderful the staff made them feel. We’re endlessly grateful to The Ribbon for creating such a warm, elegant, and unforgettable celebration.

Walked in without a reservation and got seated right away (party of 3). Great service — our server was friendly and had solid recommendations. The steaks were perfect; the bolognese pasta was just okay. But the 16-layer chocolate crepe cake? Absolutely amazing — one of the best desserts I’ve ever had! Note: 20% service charge is included in the bill.

Riley got us seated in a comfortable booth seating for our party, and the interiors were really festive. Halloween is coming! Tried their Ribbon Lager, which was really crip and light and easy to drink. For food, we got a few things including Mac & Cheese and Butter Pasta for the kids from their kids menu. I tried their Parmesan Cheese Ravioli ($26) which was really good. Phillipe, our server suggested Fried Chicken ($32) for the table which for perfect for three adults to share. Their Truffle Fries ($14) didn't really have a truffle kick. The Tuna Crack Rice Flight ($26) was impressive as well. Noise levels were on the higher end, they had a private party going on. Amazing outdoor seating too. Overall - a very nice experience. Will be one of our favorite places to go to in the area!

One of the best dining experience we’ve had in Manhattan lately. The server was excellent, the food was amazing and it was the perfect night to sit out on a New York City patio.

I was brought here by my husband for Valentine’s Day dinner. Great choice. Steak was perfect. Oysters were a nice touch and the drinks were top notch. I would definitely recommend. We got there just as dinner was starting so it was a little quiet but started to pick up by the time we left. Waiter was attentive and made good recommendations.

We went for Happy hour and loved it. There are 3 types of deviled eggs to try and all were great- the salmon one even had red caviar on top :). My favorite Happy Hour dishes were the sliders and the chicken tenders (I am finding it difficult to find good tenders in NYC and these are very good). Was very busy on Saturday evening but we got a seat right away. We will be back 😀 [To the Ribbon mgt: feel free to use my photos for your marketing- no credit necessary ]

Late lunch date at this really nice restaurant. No trouble getting a table, the staff and bartender were very welcoming and attentive. Brunch menu. We sat at the bar, there are lots of tables as well as outdoor seating. Drinks were well made and generous! Had a great hamburger (with bacon😁). The restaurant is accessible ♿️. Street parking.

This place was amazing. The vibes, the food, the service. Although I know they forgot to add my main entree they did a fantastic job making us feel as if it wasn’t forgotten lol. They where very accommodating and the food comes out fast, fresh and delicious. Mac and cheese is basic, I would pass, besides that our group ordered a wide verity of items and it was Fantastic.

I've been to the Ribbon numerous times over the years and have had wonderful meals. Last night was the first time the food was not up to par. We were a party of 10. Three of the meals were disappointing- overcooked or undercooked. But my meal was great- I ordered the Amish half chicken and it was fabulous as was the lemongrass dumplings and sushi..

We went to this place without looking at reviews and I kinda wish I had. There is everything and anything on the menu. Which is great. We got an assortment, crab fried rice, fried chicken, buffalo cauliflower app and a burger. The best thing was the fries. Everything else was bland. The ambiance is nice. If you're going to a drink and an app situation, this place is cute. But it is a tad overpriced for mediocre food.

Food was great. Everything was loaded with flavor. Id recommend the full booth in the back if you can get it. Seats about 6 with 1 chair at the end. Went for my sons birthday dinner since we happened to be on the west side and we were happy with our choice. The front is nice but the back has a completely different feel to it.

Pretty unpleasant brunch experience. The biggest issue was the inattentive service, which was not made up for by the food. To preface, the restaurant was basically empty during this time. Maybe 2-3 other tables occupied. We sat down at 11am and did not get our mains until 12:15. We ordered some extra entrees to share which we didn’t intend to eat as apps but arrived to us earlier anyway and took a long time to arrive. We had fully finished those dishes for 15 minutes before being asked if we were ready for our mains, which took another 10-15 minutes to arrive. Being asked about the check also took a long time after plates were cleared. And again, it was not busy. What should’ve been a 1 hour meal was 2 full hours. And none of us were especially happy with the food. It was all pretty mid-range to bad (monkey bread was very good and they did eggs well), and too expensive for the quality of ingredients (using CoolWhip as whipped cream is crazy). The lighting and music were being adjusted constantly. It just all very strange. Service would’ve been admissible if the food was good, but none of us left satisfied.

The place is nice and the service is great but I did not like the food. I tried the wagyu nigiri that was not good the rice overcooked and the meat not tender and soft, the cali roll did not taste good and I found pieces of crab shell in it and finally the sweet potato gnocchi were too oily and not tasty at all. I will not come back

Ever since The ribbon parted with the blue ribbon restaurant group, it’s gone downhill. I gave them a few chances but each time something off putting happened. My personal favorite was when I ordered a dirty martini and the waiter brought me a regular martini. I made them aware of the problem and instead of making me a new cocktail the manager brought me a side of warm olive juice to add to my drink. One time, our waiter managed to serve us an entire meal without looking at us or speaking to us. Once he took our order he would just breeze by and drop stuff on the table including the bill. It wasn’t even a busy night. And tonight I spoke to someone about a reservation they were cancelling (because they had been bought out on that date) and that person was pretty rude. “We’ve been calling you since Sunday.” Actually no. You called me twice on Sunday, left no message, and when I called several times on Monday, no one at your poorly managed restaurant picked up the phone. Honestly the only reason I booked the table in the first place was because they had a table for a large party. Won’t be back.

The food was mediocre, the service careless, and the attitude defensive from start to finish. Charging $2 for four tiny pieces of bread after serving such average food? That’s not hospitality — that’s sheer stinginess. Bread used to be the mark of a restaurant’s generosity and ethos; here it’s just another invoice line. The lowest point was when a server spilled soy sauce all over my friend’s jeans. That’s a service failure and a hospitality failure. The manager’s response was incredibly arrogant and entitled: instead of comping her meal or offering to cover cleaning — the bare minimum any establishment with even 10% emotional intelligence would do — they offered her nothing but a complimentary prosecco. And then, on top of all that, they added a mandatory 20% tip for our group — a policy never stated anywhere on the menu and never mentioned to us. They even made the woman who had sauce dumped on her pay that 20% tip as well! This is where it crossed into: “We know we’re mediocre, but we’ll still force you to subsidize us.” Tipping is my choice, not your demand. Tipping should be a reward for good service — not a mandatory tax for existing. And if you ruin a guest’s property, have some decency and don’t slap them with a mandatory charge (or what you choose to call a tip) on top of it.

I came to this restaurant wearing an abaya, and from the moment our waitress saw me, her attitude completely shifted. She looked at me with clear disgust and carried herself like she had a chip on her shoulder. Every request we made seemed to annoy her, and although she tried to mask it with forced politeness, the negative energy was obvious. The experience left me feeling singled out and unwelcome. Also DO NOT order the churros, they’re terrible.

Got food poisoning..First time trying the Ribbon and really wanted to like it. However, unfortunately things went from bad to straight up a nightmare. Firstly, we were seated in the back with very little airflow and no AC. The food that came out looked pretty good so I still had high hopes for my French dip sandwich and breakfast plate with runny yokes. However, a dried up sandwich and overcooked eggs was served. Luckily the mimosa pitcher helped to wash half of it down. We left being slightly disappointed, especially as I think the place has so much potential. Little did I know, later that night I realised I had gotten food poisoned (only thing I ate that day) and was out of commission for almost 3 days. Would not recommend
